Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Sex Lies and Spray Tands with Me Cheryl
Burke and iHeartRadio podcast. Hey, welcome back to Sex Lies
and Spray Tans. Today we're peeling back the curtain on
a star who first captured our hearts as the mischievous
younger brother on a popular family sitcom that kept us
laughing through the early two thousands. Since then, he's grown
(00:22):
up right before our eyes, transitioning from a child star
to a multi talented performer from That's So Raven to
his own spinoff that was called Cory in the House.
But it's not just his acting chops that have made
headlines people. He also made quite the impression on the
dance floor, pairing up with the incredibly talented Lacey Shwimmer
(00:42):
in the eleventh season of Dancing with the Stars, who
placed second and was an undeniable fan favorite. Please welcome
to the podcast, Kyle, Massy Kyle, it's been so long, No.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Man, it's been so long. So good to see Cheryl,
so good to see you.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I'm so happy for you and your beautiful home. I
just got a mini tour. This show is dedicated to
Dancing with the Stars all things, so we're going to
get down and dirty. Are you ready?
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I'm ready what you got for me?
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I heard you say that you thought Dancing with the
Stars was rigged? Is this a true fact?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
I always don't want you backpedal, So look.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
All I would say is that in my season, you know,
one of the other contestants had.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
A mishap and Jennifer Gray, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
In the finale, and because you know, my mom lives
on the East Coast, and the East Coast Live is
really actually live, and then the West Coast was like
a recording of that live that's edited. So yeah, so
the East Coast, the mishap was there, and then on
West Coast it was a clean performance.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
It was edited out perfect tens and I was just.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Like, wait, what was it? You're gonna have to say more?
What was edited out?
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Well, it was like a misstep, like like basically like
a little trip, you know, like when you trip, but
you don't actually like fall.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
It's like a stumble. It's more of a misstep.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
But by the time we would finish the press and
by the time we would get to whatever restaurant or
stuff we would go to, I watched it and it
was not there at all, and I was just like, damn,
that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
So are you saying they changed the camera angles?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
You know, I'm saying that they completely edited it out
of the entire thing. It didn't exist on feed. I
don't know. I think maybe they just like cut to
something else, like they cut to a different shot.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
That's not with you. That's what Derek and Jennifer, that's
what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, yeah, but it's just like it was only in
the East Coast feet so if you didn't watch it
live on the East Coast, you never even knew it happened.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
For sure, this is a fact. You're saying, this is
a fact.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah, it was crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
I just couldn't believe that they did that, Like, you know,
that was my first flag at slag. Okay, but I
do think that the show is you know, it's fair.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
No, for sure, Kyle, you're killing me, killing me listen,
But like, first, this is a fact, Like if I
were to find the footage, you like, you actually this
is true.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, no, it's.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
It's crazy and a lot of people didn't believe us.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
But back in the day, you know, we had it
on what was it called Deep dbr pvo or whatever
it was back then, but we had it like we were.
We watched the Misstep in real time with ABC logo everything.
At the end of the day, like I am proud
of Jim friend Derek, Like they did a great job
and not deathing away from their their wing, you know.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
And she was like pain, wasn't she like sleeping for her?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah? She was going through a lot of stuff and
a lot of you know, physical struggles and stuff. So
you know, I would never take anything away from them.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
They killed it.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
They deserve that.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Dumb and they got it.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Honestly, Kyle, I thought you killed it. Like I've had
Lacey on here a few times and you haven't seen
her in just as long as I have seen you
in person. But she said that out of all her partners, obviously,
she's the one that you guys keep in touch the most.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, yeah, we do.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
How was your first of all you did the show
season eleven? Had you watched the show or was it?
I wanna just be one hundred percent please do.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
When I got that, when I got the offer to
do Dance with the Stars, I had never seen one
episode of that show. You never want, not one episode,
like never once. I had no idea that Kim Kardashian
was on the show or any of those people.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Knew nothing about.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
It, nothing about ballroom dancing. You had no idea zero
and heard Dancing with the Stars. Never heard it.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
It was not on my radar, Like if I that show,
I was not their demographic.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
You know, definitely not.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
No, I just wasn't. So I didn't know anything about it.
So it got to the point where the producers actually
had to send me episodes before I actually said yes
to doing the show, Like I was like, what does
it even look like? Like what is it?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
You know?
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I like that had to like.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Explain it to me visually and send me videos of celebrities.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Dancing, So why did you do it? Then?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
I really did Dance with the Stars just because, like
I just wanted to do something different, you know, just
something that was out of my comfort zone. And my
mom was extremely instrumental in convincing me to do it,
you know, because I was really ready to pass on it,
you know, and my mom just said, like Kyle, like
(05:32):
just commit and do your best. She's like, you are
great at learning things, And I was like, yeah, but
I don't know, I've never danced ever, like, you know,
I danced in the Underdog music video like I did
when I did the theme song for Underdog the movie.
I did a video for it that was like the
only time I really had choreography ever.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Really, Kyle, because you seem like a it seems so
natural for you though, Well, it's.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Because when I really set my mind or something, I'm
most likely going to master it. If, like god willing,
I'm gonna give it one thousand percent no matter what.
And usually if you if you truly give anything a
thousand percent, you may not be the best person to
ever do that thing, but you are definitely gonna be
(06:18):
great compared to where you started.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
So what would that entail for you? Did you guys
rehearse long hours or what was it like?
Speaker 2 (06:25):
You know what? Actually, Lacey would tell you. I didn't
even have to, you know, we did a few long
hours in the beginning, Like starting out, what is it
like a week before we actually started, It's.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
A few weeks. I think back then it was like
two weeks.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
I don't know what it was.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
But during that time we were really doing long hours.
We do like you know, eight hour days, twelve hour days.
Well then as this as the show was progressing, and
Lacey kind of learned the rate that I was learning at.
Like once she learned like how fast I could pick
up a staff, and she learned how to teach me.
(07:00):
I never felt like she was like yelling at me,
you know, like how I heard like a lot of
the other contestants felt like, you know, their trainers were
like you know, oh they were rude. Yeah, if you
thought you was crazy.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Who was I dancing with that season?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Rick Fox? Rick Fox, Rick Fox?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah, that guy as tall as a mother? Ye six seven?
This pair him with the girl that's five four? Please,
Let's just that's great.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
You did? You did? That just goes to show how
great of a dance teacher you really are. Like, you know,
I gained a lot of respect for dance teachers after dancing,
you know, because I really was like thinking about, like, wow,
you guys really come up with this entire routine I
I and teach someone that's trash.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
The thing is with you, Kyle, it was almost like
I don't know if it's because like you are, you
are young, and you were very young back then that
there was no fear behind you know, like you were
like a second guest sing or like overthinking anything, And
I think that's the problem with some people, especially actors
that are older, that are not used to like they're
(08:09):
scared to show themselves, like or maybe they don't even
know who they are, you.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Know, No, that's true. I mean honestly, I would just
test that to just kind of just how I grew up.
Like I grew up.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
In front of the camera.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Like I know a lot of people have grown up
like in the industry, but like I literally grew up
in front of the camera, and like I always had
to be ready to work. Nothing mattered when they said action.
I had to know my lines and there was no
I'm sorry, that was good enough.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
It was like no it.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I didn't realize how prepared I was to Dancing with
the Stars because of.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
The way that I grew up.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
You know, I grew up like having to you know,
do a live episode of Corey in the House in
front of two hundred live audience and growing up on
Nassaraven doing live audience every Friday, and I had to
get my lines together and they do rewrites before. So
going in to Dancing with the Stars, that helped prepare
me for just like the you know, because Lady would
always say, are you nervous. I'm like, nah, I'm not nervous,
(09:08):
Like nah, I'm going to go out there and give
it my best. Though.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
You know, I'm never nervous, not once.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
No, I really don't get nervous. I get more nervous
like around like certain people than I do in like
big situations, you know, like like if I got to perform,
you know, like like I performed it like uh, what
was it? High? Times, wrong, loud? And we did like
at the the old Staples Center, and I had no
(09:36):
type of nerves at all, even like when we did
the Las Vegas show. But to tell you truly was
more nerve wracking than the TV I would say so, yeah,
because because you understand, like the thing that makes most
people nervous, the element of being live on television, that
wasn't the thing that got me more so the people
watching live. And just like my fellow peers that yeah,
(10:03):
because I've grown up ignoring with the audience. Interesting, you know,
It's never really affected me like an audience like a crowd.
I never get afraid. I more get afraid of the fact, like,
oh my goodness, my peers and other people that do this.
If I don't commit one hundred percent. They're gonna think
that I did bad, and that's what I care about,
(10:24):
and that makes me nervous.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
That's healthy. How about social media nowadays?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Though, honestly, I'm not even on social media. I'm more
focused on my video game. I'm completely inactive, Like I
don't post.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
How about TikTok No, I'm I'm not on it at all.
That's why you are a happy person.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, And honestly, like, if you really think about it,
I have grown up in front of a camera lens.
My whole life has been documented, Like if you really
think about it, Like, my entire life since I was
seven years old has been documented. Everywhere I went. It's
been photos and videos and appearances and all these things.
In my thirties, I'm like, yo, don't I kind of
(11:02):
deserve some privacy, absolutely deserves some, you know, Like at
this point, I'm out, Like to yo, I've been famous
a majority of my life. You know, I'm thirty two
years old and I've been famous since I was seven.
So well, maybe I don't post for three years? Woo
to do? You know?
Speaker 1 (11:23):
And has it affected your career at all?
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Well, it depends on what you view as a career, like,
because my my career now is really what I've always
wanted to do because I've been acting before I ever
wanted to be an actor.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
So as far as my career, you know, I have
a video game that I just launched.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
You know, my partners that they did the designs for
Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty, and you know,
it's like a big awesome game. I'm really proud of it.
I got a bunch of cool people playing the game
making some serious money too, like if we're gonna wait
thirty five thousand this month to whoever scores the highest
awesome game. And also, you know, I just took on
(12:06):
a role as talent acquisitions at this app called Look Who.
So I'm like producing content for.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Them, and you know, like directing more so producing.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I'm going to get into something. But before I can
do direct like I can do directing because I've literally
grown up. I've been directed more in my life probably
than anyone that you know has. Dancing with the stars
and getting super directed it.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Was crazy, you mean, like around yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
But you know, like so as far as the director,
I more want to produce, create and bring life right now.
But I do want to get into directing.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Sometimes, So are you done acting?
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Then I'm not done acting? Like right now I'm in
the talks for a campaign. It's like a.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
I can't really say the name of it.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
So you're the youngest of you and brother? Am I
missing any other siblings?
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Brother? So?
Speaker 1 (13:03):
And you're not that much younger. But when, like you said,
you were born into this, Yeah, do you feel like
now you're antiet because of it?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
I have this conversation with my girlfriend all the time
because you know, her parents are famous musicians as well,
and I am a famous person, and you know, we
talk about, like, you know, if we have kids, like
will we let them be famous? Right? And so it's
this double edged sword because how can I say no
(13:35):
when the things that I've experienced in my life because
of acting in Hollywood have been surreal? Like if I
told you half the things, people wouldn't even believe them,
the experiences, the trips, the places, the people. But I
also understand that everybody doesn't reach the level of success
(13:55):
that I've had. Also, you know, and and I do
know a lot of actors and people that are upset
and are hurt and do hate the industry. Because of
X Y and Z. So that's why I'm just grateful
that I had the parents that I have, Like Michael
Massey and Angel Massey just really were great, you know,
like you know, and a lot of times I always
(14:16):
I always tell my mom, I'm like, yo, you're crazy.
I was like, Yo, you're crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
I tell my mom and my dad that.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
I was like, it's just like unfathomable, like it's like
what what? But it worked, so it's not that crazy,
but it really is, you know, Like you know, it
kind of makes me feel like all those kids on
American Idol that you know, they're like, oh, I drove
six hours to be in this audition, like you know,
like they just drove six hours. Imagine like packing up
(14:47):
and moving. Going back to nerves. You know, we were
talking about nervous. I was extremely nervous day one when
I arrived for the fitting, right for the fitting, You
want me tell you why.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
It's because.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
My mom told me like, oh, you're gonna have to
like they're gonna have to dress you and like dance clothes.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
I was like, what the hell is dance?
Speaker 2 (15:14):
So immediately I started like looking up dance clothes and
nothing came back good that like little heels, three inch
heels and like I was like, oh my goodness, they
got me in heels with like velvet at the bottom,
Like what velvet? Wait, you know what it was or something?
But I was like what is this? But you know,
(15:35):
you know, my experience was great. You know, everyone was
really kind. All the judges were really sweet. You know,
rest in peace to lend You.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Know what did you and Lacy bicker at all?
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Yeah? We would, like, you know, fight all the time,
but not like really fight though, like you know, like
because you know, I like the way I am. I
try and keep everything real light. I don't like extra dressing,
extra drama, so I just like give me the skinny,
you know, totally. So we were bicker back and forth,
but you know the only time she would really get
(16:18):
on my ass is when I wasn't learning something that
she knew that I could pick up, you know, but
it wasn't always okay for lady.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
She wanted to and I would do it though.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
She was a great coach right now, but mind you,
you were the best answer she's ever had. And she
says this, which is crazy, which is that's so crazy
to me? Who is that exactly all right, no, she
he danced with Lacy. They were the first eliminated.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Oh damn, my season.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
On my season, I'll never forget the first episode. So
they're like, oh, we're about to do the eliminations, and
they're like, the bottom two are Kyle Massey and David Off.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
I'm like, wait, you in the bottom too, Kyle.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
The first episode of Somebody's Going Home Kyle Massy or
David Househof. But I'm like, well, that's why I didn't
want to do the show.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
You're like, Mommy, get over here now, thank you.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
I'll call my agent tomorrow morning.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
You really thought you were going to go home?
Speaker 2 (17:29):
For sure? I was up against David.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Wait, I cannot believe they put you in the bottom two.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Yeah, and I killed.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
That first thing. I got standing ovations from the crowd,
and they put me in the bottom.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Are you mad that you didn't do All Stars? So
you didn't win the vote to do All Stars?
Speaker 2 (17:43):
I wasn't bummed about it at all. You know, I
was excited for All Stars. You know. I did do
like a whole campaign, Yeah, print shirts and stuff like
vo for Kyle and all this.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Stuff, But you know, was on top of it.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah, she was on fire.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
I'm running for president, yes, straight up.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Well, at the end of the day, you know, it's
a show, and it's a great television show, and it's
very entertaining, and you know, at the end of the day,
the producers they chose what was best for them and
the fans shows what they wanted to see, so that
everyone ended up what they wanted.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
So do you remember Tristan McManus. Yeah, he said during
the Vegas run that he had a heart attack on stage,
but he never said, Tristan.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
That's news to me. I didn't know that. I have
no memory of that happening.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
So what was it like over there? Like you did
a show once or twice a day or oh, man.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Like, so we had a show every day, two on Sunday,
so we were like, wow, working over time, and like
the only time we'd have a day off is like
sometimes the Matineez Sunday show wouldn't sell out and they'd
be like, oh, we're just going to put take its back,
so we'd have like the matin day off, and in
some sense of that.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Day off, that's hours off.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Yeah, but I mean some days we'd have a day
or two off, but yeah, we were working every day,
were working at every day, so take this out. So
this is how I kind of fell in this like
perfect area for me to stay focused because I'm living
in a penthouse at the Tropic Cannon. Right, I got
free room service. Everything I did in the hotel was
(19:20):
on the house, right, so and I got free valet
apartment car right in the front. So I was lit.
I was like living it up. But honestly, like because
I was under twenty one, that eliminated a whole process
of living. So you know what's so crazy about that.
(19:41):
I don't even know when the troupe said when I
was living at the Tropic Canna, Like this is like
as soon as we got there, I just remember I
like snuck down to one of the bars and I
like ordered a bunch of shots, right, and I started
acting crazy, like jumping on tables and stuff by himself.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
I was Joey fatone with.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
I'm not going to incriminate anybody, right, but I wasn't
a home okay. So but anyways, long story short, the
next day we show up for rehearsals and so you know,
like on the dance and stuff, everyone like sits on
the stage and like the person that talks to everyone. Yeah,
(20:22):
notes right, So I'm thinking like, oh my this notes whatever.
They're like, we need you to go to the.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Owner's office of the trumpic Cana.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
I'm like, oh my god, the owner of the hotel.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Yeah, so the owner of the Trumpicana would be there,
like because when we when we were, when I was
living there, they had just got like a two.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Hundred million dollar renovation from the previous owner.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
So I remember we were there, remember for the opening show.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Yeah, yeah, it was bringing new everything, you know. And
he like called me into his office and he was like, Kyle,
I want you know there's video of you at the
bar last night.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
I was like, jab should have acted so freaking crazy,
I know.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
I was like I was reckless, and he was like,
so listen, I just want you to know that there's
a zero tolerance for drinking and all this stuff. He
was like, so all of your room service alcohol has
been canceled for the remains day. He's like, I've notified
every single bar, every single place on this property that
you or anybody that you're with is prohibited from drinking.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
Alcohol for the well, whoever you're with, anybody. I was
with couldn't have associated with So if I.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Pulled up with them and they weren't like on the show,
if they weren't, yeah, it was like no drinks too many.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
So like Lacy couldn't get a drink, no.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Because she's a feeling with the show. So she's good
if they were like on their own accord. But I mean,
like some of my friends from Vegas that would come
visit me, right, I would have to go other places.
But it was It was honestly one of some of
the greatest memories ever, just like just dancing there, and
it really honestly taught me about like nobody's gonna do
(22:07):
your ship for you. I remember Lacey made that extremely
clear and Vegas. She would always say, look, this is
not Dance with the Stars, Like you got to take
care of your own ship here. There's not going to
be the wardrobe person coming up and taping your shirt
or Friday Vegas because it's a live show and there
isn't There is no Dancing with the Stars crew here.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
It's just a wardrobe team.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Yeah, you gotta bring your shoes. When I judge my
experience with things or places or events or shows, it's
my experience, and I never realized how negative someone else's
experience can be.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
And we're the same address, you know, and it's just
you know, so that's that's.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Really with Tristan, Like it hurts my heart because like
we would party together like after the show. Remember, we
would always go out like after the live show, and
that was back when they had results show, so we
had that free day kind of, so we would all
party Monday night or whatever the live Wish shows. But
he wrote he literally did an interview just about he
mentioned it on the reality show and he was like
I would be the last one standing at these parties
(23:08):
after the show and he would be just going until
the next morning, just by himself. And I'm like, oh
my god. But we were similar. We were like just
in silence, like there's a lot of shame that comes
with addiction, right, yeah, do you have Are you an
addict or do you know of anyone that is?
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Thank God, I'm not an addict, And you know, I
never battled with substance or any type of drug abuse.
You know, you know, I respect alcohol, And when I
say I respect it, I mean like I respect it
to the point where I don't I try not to
overdo it. Sometimes I'll cross the line and I'll get
a little carried away, but it's never to the point
where it's like dangerous, you know, right, But yeah, like no,
(23:52):
I know a lot of people that have been battling
addiction and just like, yeah, you know other child stars.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
And and people who I would never like.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Blast out, but you know people of course, you know,
you guys know, and you know they they've been going
through it for a really, really long time, you know,
behind the scenes, in front of the scenes. Some of
them have the courage to come out and you know,
express what they're going through publicly. But a lot of
times people are fighting these battles alone with no one
to talk to.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
What are your thoughts on quiet on set?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
It's a hard thing to just address in general, you know,
because it's extremely sticky, and I just want to be
respectful to everybody that's you know, because a lot of
these people, you know, I've known in passing from you know,
Drake Bell and you know a lot of those stars
that are in that documentary. But you know, I think
(24:44):
it's just unfortunate. I think that you know, a lot
of people need to step up and protect these kids.
You know, because you know, a set of a children's
show should always be the safest place that those kids
can go. You know, I just think that it's just unfortunate, honestly,
I just and for everybody that's involved. Like so, I
was talking about my experience. In my experience, you know,
(25:06):
you know, I was on the number one show on Disney,
My Frother's on the number one show on Nickelodeon, and
you know, our parents were everywhere with us at all times,
because you know, Raven Simone's mother was there.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
You know, Britney Spears mother was there and her father,
they were on set.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
They made time because when I was feeling my show,
Corey in the house, and then right here was Sweet Life,
Zack and Cody, and then right here.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Was Wizards a waverly place.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
So I would literally bounce around. And that's why I
know everyone's parents, because parents. That's how I know Maley
Sorry's parents. I don't been ready to tish because they
were upset every day. You know, That's the only reason
that we know them. You know. So in my from
my view of the world, everyone that I was in
(25:59):
common and and it's a blessing, you know, it's a
blessing because thank God that I was in that type
of situation, because the other side of that coin is
a dark side, so you know, and I just thank
out that my experience was family. Everyone's family was involved
(26:20):
and everything all the time. And honestly, like, you know,
my parents took a lot of their parenting advice as
far as like, because it's one thing to be a
great parent.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
There's a million great parents out there, and kudos to
all of them.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
They all work really hard, and all the set parents,
they all work extremely hard, teaching those kids their lines,
making sure they got their hair cut, making sure the
rest so that they can perform and teach school and
learn like they do. So they do amazing things. So
you know, I would never knock any set parents, you know.
But my mom, she got my mom and dad, you know,
(26:56):
they got a lot of their advice on how to
like raise famous kids.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
I guess you could say from.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Raven's parents, you know, right.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Because Raven's been famous since she was three years old
on the Cosme Show, So she grew. I've been famous
as our seven Ravens been famous since she was three.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
She only knows faith.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
That's crazy, you.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Know, it's a lot of things that go into raising
a child on television, and it is extremely difficult, you know,
And you know there's a lot of different elements that
come into play, where people's finances or the transportation or
there's a lot of different variables.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
That can withhold you know, people from being there all
the time.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
And you know, my heart just goes out to those
people that are affected by that, because nobody deserves that.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Rapid fire. This is the best part of the freaking podcast.
Get your seatbelt on and let's hit it. Ready, hear me?

don't know which because you know that last episode you
two dances one I got a flawless three tens and
then one I got two tens and nine Lin game
in nine.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
And so I think that she was up one one.
Speaker 2 (29:04):

Speaker 1 (29:04):
She was up one point close. Then I don't know
I thought I won? You real, were you shocked?
Speaker 2 (29:11):
You mean to tell you the God's honest truth, Like
I never expected to win, Like I didn't think I
was gonna make it past the first episode.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
You knew, okay when you were in the final though,
because you had invested so much of your time already,
Like did you not think you were going to win?
Speaker 2 (29:26):
You know what? No, Lacey really she really believed we
were gonna win, And honestly, I started I started to
believe because Lacey was like convinced. She was like, Kyle,
you know this dance. All you have to do is
go do it exactly how you know how to do it,
and you will win it.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Like she was telling me that while.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Working like stage right and they're like all right, thirty seconds.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
She was like, how you can win. She was like
you can win, But how can I?
Speaker 2 (29:54):
How can I be runner up to a dancer in
a dance competition?
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Like I want most amazing quality about Lacey, I would say.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Just like how she drills, Like she's like a drill sergeant.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Sometimes I hear you like she can she can be
some work when she wants to work.
