For Rebecca Bloomwood, the original Shopoholic, and real women like her, shopping might be a social activity, a mood-booster, a stress reliever, or a mindless distraction. In most cases, casual shopping doesn't lead to compulsive shopping: Only about six percent of Americans display that behavior—but of that six percent, 80 percent are women. Here's one woman's story.
