Speaker 1 (00:01):
Picture Miami. Picture its beaches. Picture the palm trees swaying
in the wind. Picture three radio journalists assassinated in cold blood.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
They left the body there for reasons.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It was the calling card.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
It's like the murphiasidy.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
They can anyone of us at impact. Most people come
to Miami after the sun and the sand I was
in Miami as a reporter and I looked past the
palm trees. I first covered these murders almost.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Thirty years ago, but they were never solved, and they
left an open wound.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
The radio journalists had moved to Miami from Haiti. They
were using them. You found freedom and the radio airwaves
to ignite a revolution at home, and that's when the
killing started.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
You're picking off these people one by one at moments
of maximum time. There's a warning to them. It's definitely
psychological warfare.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
This all happened in a small, tight knit neighborhood known
as Little Haiti, and yet the mastermind has never been caught.
To find him, we had to go deep into a
world of drugs and darkness, talking to agents from the
FBI and DA.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
It's very difficult to determine how much cocaine is coming
in It's like asking people how much how many people
had sex last night and Miami, good luck trying to
find that out.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
And then there were these hints of a much bigger
conspiracy this.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
See I they clearly gave a green light because those
guys were in the pay world. This was very real.
If there's one thing I've learned in all my time
on a red quarter is this, you cannot kill the
truth with the bullet. I must a lot and I'm
anna Aran
