Speaker 1 (00:05):
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does
not wither. Whatever they do prospers the Psalms, Chapter one,
(00:25):
verse three. Dear Lord, you are the source of life, love,
and fruitfulness. Tonight, as my head lays tently on my pillow,
I want to be planted by you, roots dug deep
(00:47):
into fertile soil, beside the flowing streams of truth, love
and life. Position me in the place of peace, and
give me purpose in your presence as I sleep. Make
(01:08):
me like a tree with branches reaching skyward, stretching upwards
toward the call of heaven. The wicked will wander and
their leaves will eventually wither. But I know if I
remain steadfast and you, I will run and never grow weary.
(01:31):
I will prosper because of your guidance, counsel, and spirit.
Bring me refreshment and life. In your word, Lord, teach me.
Teach my heart to be steel, like a tree planted
(01:51):
by living water. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen, thank
you for praying with me. I'm Bishop td Jakes inviting

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Hello there, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by Prey
dot com. We will be meditating on Psalm one. As
you lay down, relax your neck and shoulders, rest your
arms by your side, and take a few deep breaths.
(03:17):
Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly. Try
to control your breathing to help your body relax. Breathe
in and out slowly. Notice how your chest rises and
falls with each breath. The slower you inhale, the more
(03:39):
your chest expands. When you exhale. After allowing your chest
to fully expand, more oxygen will flow to rejuvenate your body.
Take another deep breath and release any stress and tension
in your muscles. As you exhale, clear your mind and
(04:02):
focus your thoughts on God. Remember who He is, the
all powerful one that knows you. Seize you and loves you.
He knows the weight of what you are carrying from
to day, and he is ready to lift your burdens
and give you rest for your mind, body, and soul.
(04:26):
Bring to day's worries and anxieties to him. Know he
cares for you. Know he came to bring you a
life filled with joy, hope, and peace. Focus on his promises,
on his goodness. Bry then and out slowly, open your
(04:51):
mind and heart to hear his voice. Ask for him
to speak to you through his word. Know his voice
will lead you to a safe, quiet place where you
can rest in him. Tonight, you can find rest in
knowing God's word can and will sustain you. The Bible
(05:13):
promises those who take delight in God's word will be
blessed and refreshed. Psalm one from the King James's version says,
blessed is the man that walketh not in the council
of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his
(05:34):
delight is in the law of the Lord. And in
his law doth he meditate day and night. And he
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of
water that bringeth forth his fruit and his season. His
leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
(05:55):
The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff
which the wind and driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall
not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation
of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of
the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
(06:17):
Meditating on God's word before you go to sleep fills
your heart with joy and your spirit with delight. You
can find peace knowing God is always watching over you,
protecting you through the night. Bask in his presence. Feel
his peace wash over you. Breathe in and out slowly
(06:40):
with your eyes closed. Imagine being firmly rooted in His love,
grace and truth, and quenching your thirst in his spirits
of eternal life. No God can sustain you where you are.
Focus on God and his faithfulness us to keep you
(07:01):
and watch over you. Praise Him for always keeping his
promises and for being your firm foundation. Thank Him for
his flawless word in which you can take delight, and
for his powerful presence in which you can find satisfaction.
Draw near to Him so that you can grow and
live a fruitful life by bringing others to him. Reflect
(07:25):
on your life and think of areas in which you
can surrender to Him and be more fruitful. Confess times
when you have allowed the ways of this world to
distract you from His way. Breathe in his forgiveness as
you exhale, Let go of your guilt and shame. Surrender
(07:47):
to God's love, and find inner peace and rest for
your mind, body, and soul In this sweet surrender. Take
delight in the Lord and his goodness. Allow his joy
to lighten your heavy heart. Praise Him for the times
he has protected you. Praise Him for the people he
(08:10):
put in your life to bring you closer to him.
Praise Him for the opportunities he has given you to
bring others to Him and to bear fruit in your life.
Think of someone you know who might need to feel
God's presence and pray for them to find rest to night.

(08:32):
you continue to follow his path that leads to a
life filled with joy and peace. Pray God will bring
people in your life who will encourage you to walk
with him. Pray God will fill you with the Holy
Spirit and show you how to live a fruitful life
