Speaker 2 (02:42):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred. Begin by
getting in a comfortable position on the floor or on
a bed to allow oxygen to flow freely throughout your
body to restore your muscles and joints. Lie down flat
(03:04):
on your back with your knees bent and your feet
flat on the floor or on the bed. Use a
pillow to elevate your head and support your neck. Relax
your shoulders. Rest your hands gently by your side with
the palms facing down. Take a deep, cleansing breath. Exhale
(03:27):
slowly and release any stress and tension in your body.
Try to control your breathing to relax your mind. Take
a deep breath through your nose. Feel the clean, calm
air flow through your lungs down into the depths of
(03:47):
your belly. Watch your belly expand. When your belly is
full of air, hold your breath for a few seconds.
Purse your lips and slowly exhale, allowing the air to
cleanse your body and calm your mind. Focus your thoughts
(04:10):
on God, Meditate on his goodness, on his faithfulness. Be
still and know that He is the Lord, our God.
Inhale slowly through your nose, and allow this truth to
be sucked in through your lungs and flow deep into
(04:30):
your belly. As you exhale and your belly contracts, allow
this truth to flow through you, rejuvenating your body and
refreshing your soul. As you relax, invite the presence of
God into your quiet space. Open your heart to him,
(04:53):
and allow his truth to comfort you and bring you
joy and peace. To Night's pe invites us to joyfully
enter the presence of God and find rest in His
truth that transcends time. Psal one hundred from the King
James version says, make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
(05:15):
All ye lands, serve the Lord with gladness, Come before
his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he
is God. It is he that hath made us, and
not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep
of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and
(05:38):
into his courts with praise. Be thankful unto him and
bless his name. For the Lord is good, his mercy
is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations. Meditating
on who God is can fill our hearts with joy
and peace and comfort us as we prepare for sleep.
(06:02):
God's word reminds us the Lord of all earth is
our creator and shepherd. Rejoice and be glad in knowing
the Lord of all creation is the one who promises
to care for us and comfort us every day and
every night. Breathe in and out slowly, Bask in the
(06:24):
presence of our creator. Take delight in the wonderful work
of his hands. Know the same hands that formed you
are the same hands that will protect you and preserve
you through the night. Close your eyes and imagine walking
through lush, green pastures in the countryside where a babbling
(06:47):
brook runs through its center. See the sheep graze peacefully
as their shepherd leads them with his rod and staff.
Take a deep breath, sur to your shepherd. Exhale slowly,
and allow his hands to lead you to still, quiet
waters where your thirst can be quenched, and lush green
(07:12):
pastures where your appetite can be satisfied. Rejoice in the
satisfaction that comes only from the Lord. Find peace in
his presence. Think of the ways you have doubted the
faithfulness of God and the truth of his word. Lift
(07:33):
any doubts you have of God's goodness, Lift any doubts
concerning the truth of His word. Ask for Him to
help your unbelief and help you find your faith once again.
Take a deep breath. Know God is not troubled by
your doubts. Exhale slowly and let go of any guilt
(07:58):
your feeling tonight, allow the Lord's presence to shed light
on his truth. Come before the Lord with thanksgiving and praise.
Thank him for his provision to day, Thank him for
his protection to night. Thank him for his love that
sustains you, and his faithfulness that restores you all the
(08:22):
days of your life. Think of a person who is
struggling with doubts about who God is. Pray he will
reveal his truth to them. Pray he will restore their
faith and renew their spirit. Lift your requests to the Lord.
(08:43):
Know he is your shepherd and he cares for you. Deeply.
Ask for his provision and protection in your life. Know
He will be faithful and He will give you what
you need to make it through the day and to
rest peacefully at night. Pray for God to show you
(09:04):
how to share your faith with the next generation. Pray
for opportunities to talk to young children and adults about
His everlasting love and truth. Pray for God to fill
your heart with gratitude. Pray he will help you focus
on His goodness and his faithfulness when life is hard.
(09:28):
Pray for God to keep watch over you as you sleep.
Pray you will feel safe and secure in his hands.
Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly and release any tension
that is still lingering from today. Relax your neck and shoulders,
(09:49):
stretch out your legs, and soften your toes. Allow the
presence of the Lord to lead you to his green
pastures where you can ressed peacefully through the night.
