and spirit with tonight's sleep song. Remember his marvelous works
that he has done, his wonders and the judgments of
his mouth. Psalm one O five, verse five. Heavenly Father,
(00:30):
I come before you, exhaust my eyes heavy with fatigue.
I ask that you grant me rest, sweet release from
my labors. As the Israelites of old were delivered from
(00:55):
their slavery in Egypt. I ask that you delivered me
from the bondage of wakeful nights, just as they were
led through the wilderness sustained by your hand. I ask
that you guide me through my tiredness and refresh my soul.
(01:20):
Please help me cast off the burden of my worries
and release my anxieties to you. Let me lie down
without fear and awake with your peace in my heart.
Grant me the peace that comes from faith, knowing that
(01:41):
you are in control and working all things together for
my good. Let me just rest in your loving kindness
and finding comfort in your powerful strength. I pray this
(02:10):
in your name through Christ, who gives me that strength. Amen.
Thank you for praying with me. I'm Bishop TD Jakes.

Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and five.
Take a moment to reflect on your life. Think about
all the difficult situations that God used for his good,
either to grow you, to transform you, or to bring
(03:43):
you to a place where you could receive a specific
blessing in your heart. Praise God for the trials and
tribulations he has taken you through. Praise Him for the
good that comes out of the bad in life. No,
He will never leave you, nor forsake you. He is
(04:03):
always there to help you. Know He will deliver you
in due time. Breathe in the promises of God. Allow
them to lighten your heart and ease your mind. Breathe
out your fears and your worries. With your next breath,
lift your burdens to him, knowing he will carry them
(04:27):
on his shoulders as he carries you with his hands
through the hard moments. Take a deep breath. Feel your
neck and shoulders relaxed as he takes away your burdens.
Feel his strength fill your lungs. Exhale slowly, and allow
(04:47):
his strength to spread throughout your body, restoring every bone,
every muscle, every joint. With your next inhale, focus on
contracting your mind mus hold your breath for a few seconds,
and with your next exhale, relax your muscles and release
(05:09):
any tension in your body. Tonight, find comfort in God's promises,
knowing he will always honor his commitment to you, and
find rest in his power and strength, knowing he will
protect you and preserve you as you sleep. Psalm one
(05:30):
hundred and five from the King James version says, Oh,
give thanks unto the Lord. Call upon his name, Make
known his deeds among the people, sing unto him, Sing
psalms unto him. Talk ye of his wondrous works, Glory
ye in his holy name. Let the heart of them
(05:50):
rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord and his
strength seek his face evermore, remember his marvelous works that
he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth. O, ye,
seed of Abraham, his servant, Ye children of Jacob has chosen.
He is the Lord, our God. His judgments are in
(06:14):
all the earth. He hath remembered his covenant forever, the
word which he commanded to a thousand generations, Which covenant
he made with Abraham and his oath unto Isaac, and
confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to
Israel for an everlasting covenant, saying, unto thee, will I
(06:35):
give the land of Canon the lot of your inheritance.
When they were but a few men in number, yea
very few, and strangers in it. When they went from
one nation to another, from one kingdom to another, people,
he suffered no man to do them wrong.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yea.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
He reproved kings for their sakes, saying, touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets no harm. Moreover, he called for
a famine upon the land. He brake the whole staff
of bread. He sent a man before them, even Joseph,
who was sold for a servant, whose feet they hurt
(07:14):
with fetters. He was laid in iron until the time
that his word came. The word of the Lord tried him.
The King sent and loosened him, even the ruler of
the people, and let him go free. He made him
lord of his house and ruler of all his substance,
to bind his princes at his pleasure and teach his
(07:37):
senator's wisdom. Israel also came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned
in the land of Ham. And he increased his people greatly,
and made them stronger than their enemies. He turned their
heart to hate his people to deal subtly with his servants.
He sent Moses his servant, and Heiron, whom he had chosen.
(08:00):
They shewed his signs among them and wonders. In the
land of Ham, he sent darkness and made it dark,
and they rebelled not against his word. He turned their
waters into blood, and slew their fish. Their land brought
forth frogs in abundance. In chambers of their kings he spake,
(08:21):
and there came divers sorts of flies and lice in
all their coasts. He gave them hail for rain and
flaming fire. In their land. He smote their vines also,
and their fig trees and brake the trees of their coasts.
He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillars and that
(08:41):
without number, and did eat all the herbs in their land,
and devoured the fruit of their ground. He smote also
all the first born in their land, the chief of
all their strength. He brought them forth also with silver
and gold, and there was not one feeble person among
their tribes. Egypt was glad when they departed, for the
(09:04):
fear of them fell upon them. He spread a cloud
for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
The people asked, and he brought quails and satisfied them
with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock, and
the waters gushed out. They ran into the dry places
like a river. For He remembered his holy promise, and
(09:26):
Abraham his servant. And he brought forth his people with joy,
and his chosen with gladness, and gave them the lands
of the heathen. And they inherited the labor of the people,
that they might observe his statutes and keep his laws.
Praise ye the Lord to night. Palm takes you through
(09:48):
the many miracles God performed in the lives of those
who loved him and those who followed him. The Psalmist
brings you back to the land of Canaan, where God
made his covenant with a Rahm, the land of Egypt,
where God's people prospered and suffered, and the land in
the wilderness where He sustained his people for many years.
(10:10):
This journey paints a wonderful picture of how far God
is willing to go to provide for you, To show
his love for you, Take delight in his love and provision.
Breathe in and out slowly. Bask in the light of
the Lord. Know he will cover you like a cloud
(10:31):
to protect you and preserve you in the darkness of
the night. His light will extinguish your fears and worries
and lead you into his peaceful presence. His hands will
feed your soul in the morning and quench your spiritual
thirst at night. Find satisfaction in his bread and refreshment
(10:53):
in his waters. Take a deep breath, be filled with
the joy and hope of God's promises. Exhale slowly and
allow his joy and hope to flow through your veins,
lightening your heart, calming your mind, and relax in your body.
(11:15):
Allow his promises to comfort you through the night. Think
of a difficult time when you failed to trust God.
Or think of a time when your anger over a
difficult situation in your life hindered your relationship with God.
Confess any resentment and anger you harbor in your heart
(11:36):
towards Him. Ask for his forgiveness and for him to
soften your heart towards him. Take a deep breath, allow
his love and grace to wash over you. Exhale slowly,
and release any sin and shame you are carrying with you. Tonight,
