(00:20):
of men, Psalms, Chapter eleven, verse four. My God and King,
you are my foundation. You are the stronghold for my heart, mind,
and soul. You reign on a throne of righteousness and holiness.
(00:43):
If you were to give me even a fraction of
your presence, it would be enough to satisfy me for
a thousand lifetimes. But you don't just give me a fraction.
You offer me the fullness of who you are. While
the wicked have fashioned their weapons to win the war
(01:06):
of life, you have placed me behind you so I
might behold your victory. It is a sweet and comforting
thing to know I am safe in you, and my
future is held firmly in the same hands that hold
(01:33):
the heavens. I love you, Lord, Help me to sleep
soundly in your loving arms tonight in Jesus' name, Amen,

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's sleep song. By prayed, we
will be meditating on Psalm eleven. Close your eyes and
breathe in and out slowly. Relax your neck and shoulders.
Lay your fingers gently by your side or on your lap.
(03:17):
Inhale and exhale slowly through your nose. As you control
your breathing, feel the tension in your muscles release, Feel
your joints soften, and your heart rates slow down. Breathe
in and out as your body relaxes. Focus on opening
(03:41):
your mind and heart to hear God's voice. Put your
fears and doubts in God's hands. Ask for him to
speak to you tonight. Allow his voice to soothe your soul,
and allow his peace to lead you into deep, RESTful sleep.
Uncertainty in our life lives can cause fear, panic, and confusion.
(04:04):
We may be tempted to flee our problems or look
elsewhere for comfort. But tonight we can find comfort and
strength as we take refuge in the Lord. Psalm eleven
from the King James version says, in the Lord, I
put my trust. How say ye to my soul. Flee
as a bird to your mountain. For lo the wicked
(04:26):
bend their bow. They make ready their arrow upon the string,
that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord's throne
is in heaven. His eyes behold, his eyelids. Try the
(04:50):
children of men. The Lord trieth the righteous, but the wicked,
and him that loveth violence, his soul hateth upon the way.
He shall reign snares fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest.
This shall be the portion of their cup. For the
righteous Lord loveth righteousness. His countenance doth behold the upright.
(05:16):
Meditating on God's word helps relieve any stress and anxiety
we carry with us into the night. In times of uncertainty,
our minds are flooded with the worries of what might
happen to us. We focus on everything that is wrong
in our lives, but focusing on God's truth can put
(05:36):
our minds at ease and allow our souls to rest peacefully.
As you lie down tonight, focus on the truths the
Psalmist reveals about God. Reflect on God's power and righteousness.
Be reminded of God's love for justice and of his
sovereignty over the wicked and the righteous. In the goodness
(06:01):
of God, take delight in his presence. Breathe in and out.
Take a deep breath. As your chest rises. Feel the
Lord's strength pulling you up and helping you overcome your struggles.
Exhale slowly as your chest falls. Feel the Lord's power
(06:25):
striking down your fears and worries. As your mind settles,
feel the Lord's protection surrounding you, keeping you safe and
secure through the night. Rest in his mighty hands. Breathe
in and out. Close your eyes and imagine a foundation
(06:46):
so sturdy that it can never be shaken in a storm.
It can never crumble underneath your feet, and it will
be standing until the end of time. Know the Lord
is your foundation that can never be shaken. Allow his
wisdom to guide you and his love to sustain you.
(07:08):
Breathe in and out. Release any tension in your body.
Think of an uncertain time in your life when you
looked to others for comfort and provision rather than God.
Ask for his forgiveness for not turning to him in
(07:29):
times of trouble. Confess when you felt God wasn't big
enough to handle your circumstances. Ask him to help you.
Rely on Him for everything you need, especially when life
is hard. Take a deep breath and be filled with
his grace as you breathe out. Let go of your
(07:51):
guilt and shame. Surrender to God's love and find inner
peace and rest. Praise God for the time he has
protected you in your life. Praise God for the times
he has provided for you and your family. Thank Him
for all the amazing things He is doing in your
life right now. Think of someone who needs God to
(08:15):
intervene in their circumstances. Pray for protection and peace over them.
Lay your requests before God. Cast all your cares and
anxieties on him. Allow his comfort and strength to help
you experience a deep, RESTful sleep tonight. Pray for the
(08:37):
righteous to be upheld during times of persecution. Pray they
will stand firm to the end. Pray for protection for
you and your family as you sleep tonight, Pray God
will give you discernment. Pray for his wisdom to guide
you and keep you on His path that leads to
(08:57):
peaceful rest. Pray God will draw you near Him during
times of uncertainty. Pray he will remind you of his
goodness and help you focus on Him to night. Clear
your mind of any distractions, Release any stress that is
still lingering from to day. Completely surrender to God. Put
(09:22):
your trust in him. Breathe in and out slowly as
your body relaxes. Allow God to refresh your soul and
help you rest through the night.
