Old Lord, I pray that you will give me the

(01:09):
trust to believe in your power over everything. You are
more trustworthy than the government, abundant than money, and consistent
than my abilities. It is through you that I can
do all things. It is through you that I can

(01:32):
overcome all things. So tonight, Lord, I don't just pray

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Song one hundred and forty six.
Before meditating on God's word, let's focus on remembering who
God is. This will fill our hearts with thanksgiving and praise. First,

(04:02):
get comfortable and relax your body. You can lie down
flat on your back or sit up in a chair.
Make sure your back is flat and straight and your
chest is open. Take a deep breath. When your chest
fully expands, hold your breath for a few seconds. Exhale

(04:25):
slowly and release any tension in your body, and relax
your neck and shoulders. As your body relaxes, meditate on
the goodness of the Lord. Remember he is the maker
of the heaven and the earth, the King of kings
who rules with his justice and mercy, the sovereign Lord

(04:48):
who faithfully takes care of his people. Tonight, he wants
to take care of you by lifting your burdens and
giving you rest. With your next ecoes sail. Release all
your fears and worries, your stress and anxiety into the
mighty hands of the Lord. Allow his power to free

(05:11):
you from the burdens that weigh heavily on your heart
and spirit. Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
Exhale slowly, and get ready to listen to God's word.
The Bible reminds us to put our confidence in the
Lord rather than in the rulers of this world. His

(05:33):
reign will last forever, whereas the rulers of the earth
have a set number of days, so their help is temporary.
Psalm one hundred forty six from the King James version says,
Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.
While I live, I will praise the Lord. I will

(05:54):
sing praises unto my God, while I have any being.
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son
of man, in whom there is no help. His breath
goeth forth he returneth to his earth in that very
day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the
God of Jacob for his help. Whose hope is in

(06:16):
the Lord, his God, which made heaven and earth, the sea,
and all that therein is, which keepeth truth forever, which
executeth judgment for the oppressed, which giveth food to the hungry.
The Lord looseth the prisoners. The Lord openeth the eyes
of the blind. The Lord raiseth them that are bowed down.

(06:39):
The Lord loveth the righteous. The Lord preserveth the strangers.
He relieveth the fatherless and widow. But the way of
the wicked he turneth upside down. The Lord shall reign forever,
even Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations, Praise ye
the Lord. A beloved king or ruler dies Oftentimes the

(07:04):
nation will mourn when a good ruler's reign comes to
an end. Many will feel hopeless moving forward into the future.
But God's word reminds us our hope should not be
in the kings of this world. Our hope should be
in the King of Kings, the One True God. Tonight,

(07:25):
let the eternal King's presence restore your hope and give
you rest. Close your eyes and meditate on all the
things the Lord does for his people. Think about the
way he provides for the poor and sustains the fatherless
and the widow. Think of the freedom he gives to

(07:46):
those bound by the chains of sin and death. Think
of how he watches over the foreigner and the oppressed.
Rejoice in the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord. Rejoice
in the King, the King who rules with his justice
and mercy. Feel your hearts swell with joy, and your

(08:06):
spirit fill with praise. Breathe in and out slowly, bask
in the presence of the Lord. In the presence of
the Almighty King. Find hope in his power and strength. Know,
as one of his righteous, his power rests upon you,

(08:27):
and his strength sustains you through the night. In a
chaotic world, it is easy to put our hope in
politicians and celebrities, but in the end they will disappoint
us or they will leave us too soon. Confess the
times when you put your confidence in people rather than

(08:49):
in God. Confess the struggles you have with trusting him.
Ask for God's forgiveness for your shortcomings. Ask him to
help you overcome your fears and doubts. To place your
trust in him. Praise the Lord for his justice and mercy.
Praise the Lord for his provision and protection. Thank him

(09:12):
for the ways he has blessed you. Thank him for
the times he has helped you and delivered you. Think
of a person who looks to others for help and
struggles with trusting the Lord. Pray he will soften their
heart and turn them towards him. Pray he will provide
for them, revealing his goodness and faithfulness. Lift your requests

(09:38):
to the Lord. Lift your struggles and troubles. Put your
confidence in the Lord, and he will help you and
deliver you. Pray for the vulnerable and oppressed in your community.
Pray God will fill your heart with compassion for those
he loves. Pray for you to put your hope in

(10:01):
the Lord over your nation's government. Pray you will rely
on his provision rather than on the promises of politicians.
Pray for the Lord to keep watch over you as
you sleep. Pray he will protect you throughout the night.
Take a deep breath, be filled with the hope of

(10:24):
the Lord. As you exhale. Release any tension and stress
that is still lingering from today. As you relax, allow
God's hope to comfort you as you rest through the night.
