My beloved Father God, as I lay my head to rest,
my soul cries out to you the Great. I am
the one who reigns forever. I come before you not
as a mighty king, but as a humble servant, grateful
for your unending grace and mercy. Lord, I ask that

(00:51):
you bless me with the spirit of humility. I pray
that your presence and spirits surround me, filling my heart
with gratitude instead of entitlement. Father, I thank you for

(01:11):
the Lord Jesus Christ, who died upon the cross for
my sins as the ultimate sacrifice. By his precious blood.
I have been redeemed, I have been saved, and I

(01:33):
am free. I pray that my soul will not forget
the goodness of your salvation and the power of the
love you have shown to me. And now, in your
great mercy and love, I ask that you watch over

(01:54):
me as I rest, keep me nestled in your presence,
unfolded by your grace, that I may wake up renewed, refreshed,

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleepsong by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and forty nine.
As you lay down to sleep, relax your neck and shoulders,
rest your arms gently by your side, and bend your knees.

(03:42):
Take a deep breath through your nose. Feel the air
cleanse your lungs as it flows through them into your stomach.
Hold your breath for a few seconds, purse your lips
and exhale slowly through your mouth, pulling your belly downward,

(04:03):
allowing the air to flow freely throughout your body. Take
a few more deep breaths in through your nose and
exhale through your mouth. Concentrate on slowing your heart rate
down with your next breath. Feel how fast your heart
is pumping. Breathe in and out slowly. Notice with each

(04:31):
breath your heart rate slows down. Relaxing your body, settling
your mind and preparing you for rest. Clear your mind
of any distractions. Focus your thoughts on God's word. Ask
the Lord to speak to you through to Night's Psalm.

(04:52):
Although the world seems dark and the wicked seem to prosper,
the Bible reminds us victory is ours the end because
of our faith in the Lord. Tonight, let's lift our
spirits and hearts and praise the King of Kings Psng

(05:12):
one hundred forty nine from the King James's version says,
praise ye the Lord, sing unto the Lord a new
song and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let
Israel rejoice in him that made him. Let the children
of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise
his name and the dance. Let them sing praises unto

(05:35):
Him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord taketh
pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation.
Let the saints be joyful and glory. Let them sing
aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God
be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in
their hand, to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punish

(06:00):
upon the people. To bind their kings with chains, and
their nobles with fetters of iron, to execute upon them
the judgment written this honor. Have all his saints praise
ye the Lord. The Psalmist paints a beautiful picture of
God's people celebrating their victory, their triumph over evil. This

(06:24):
picture also provides a glimpse into the ending of God's
love story, where his people are gathered in his city
praising him, worshiping their mighty King. As we meditate on
the glory of the Lord and the glorious future he
has in store for us, feel your hearts soften and

(06:45):
your spirit lighten, helping you rest peacefully through the night.
Take a deep breath, lift your spirit and praise the Lord.
Lift your heart and rejoice in your creed. Exhale slowly
and allow his praise and thanksgiving to fill your heart

(07:07):
with his joy and renew your spirit with his peace.
Praise Him in the morning when you wake up. Praise
Him in the evening when you are preparing for sleep.
Close your eyes and take delight in your King. Take
a deep breath, Lift the word of God your double

(07:30):
edged sword, and strike down the enemy with God's grace,
love and truth. Exhale slowly and celebrate the victory you
have in the Lord. In his righteousness, he will crown
you with his glory. In his glory, he will keep
you warm and safe. Acknowledge any unconfessed sin before the Lord.

(07:57):
Confess any fears that are keeping you from doing the
good work of the Lord. Confess any doubts of God's sovereignty.
Take a deep breath. Allow his righteousness to purify you
from your sins. Allow his glory to extinguish your fears
and doubts. Exhale and release any shame you are carrying

(08:23):
with you tonight. Know he is Lord, and you are
his beloved child, in whom he takes delight. Praise the
name of the Lord. Rejoice in his power and strength.
Rejoice in his sovereignty. Thank him for the victories he
has given you over your past struggles. Thank him for

(08:46):
the victory he will give you over sin and death
in the end. Think of a person who is struggling
with doubts about God's goodness and sovereignty. Pray God will
remind them he is the King of Kings, the One
True God. Pray he will remind them of who they

(09:08):
are in him, one of his people chosen to be
part of his holy nation. Lift your requests to the Lord,
lift the desires of your heart. Know you have found
favor with him and he loves giving his children good
gifts from above. Pray for the Lord to remind you

(09:31):
of the bright future that awaits you in eternity. Pray
you will keep an eternal perspective while living in a
temporary world. Pray for the Lord to fill you with
his hope, joy and peace. As you lay down to rest,
Pray you will experience deep, RESTful sleep in His presence. Tonight,

(09:56):
take a deep breath. Feel the light of the go
glory of the Lord fill your space and fill your heart.
Exhale slowly and release any tension that is still lingering
from today. As you relax, allow God's presence to comfort

(10:16):
you as you rest through the night.
