I'm Bishop T. D. Jakes, inviting you to unwine your
mind and spirit with Tonight's sleep Psalm. Lord, who may
dwell in your sanctuary, who may live on your holy heel,
Psalm fifteen, Verse one, O Lord, I want to be
(00:29):
someone who can step confidently into your presence. I want
to live worthy of the grace You've given me. I
desire the truth to transform me and inform how I
treat others. Before I lay my head to rest, bring
(00:51):
me to a place of repentance and humility. I want
my eyes to be wide open to your ways and
my heart to be uninhibited by pride. Unrepentant sin can
be the thief of true rest. So I pray for
(01:11):
your forgiveness. I want to bend to your will and
move wherever you direct me. Tear away the flesh that
hinders my reach upward toward the call of righteousness. In Jesus' name,
(01:33):

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm fifteen. Lie down flat
on your back, relax your neck and shoulders, rest your
arms by your side, and take a few deep breaths.
(02:55):
Release any tension in your body. Breathe then and out slowly.
Close your eyes and focus your thoughts on God. Meditate
on his promises, on his faithfulness. Focus on the joy, hope,
(03:15):
and peace he offers to those who follow him. Remember
who you are a child of God that is deeply
valued and loved. Know He cares for you. Know he
wants to release your burdens and give you rest. Breathe
in and out slowly. When you breathe in, allow your
(03:40):
lungs to completely fill with air before exhaling. When you
breathe out, release the stress and a tension in your muscles.
As your body relaxes, focus on opening your mind and
heart to hear God's voice. Ask for him to reveal
(04:01):
his truth to you tonight. Allow his truth to comfort
you as you lay down to sleep. You have been
chosen and set apart by God to do amazing things
through Him and for Him. As you listen to God's
word tonight, focus on the steps he invites you to
(04:23):
take to follow him. Allow his truth to transform you
from the inside out. Psalm fifteen from the King James's
version says, Lord who shall abide in thy tabernacle, who
shall dwell in thy holy hill, He that walketh uprightly,
(04:44):
and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil
to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor,
in whose eyes a vile person is conne. But he
honoreth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to
(05:05):
his own hurt, and changeth not, He that putteth not
out his money to ussri nor taketh reward against the innocent.
He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Meditate
on God's truth tonight. Focus on his wisdom that will
lead you to the path of life and righteousness. Take
(05:29):
comfort in knowing as you follow His ways, you will
find peace and joy and renewal and refreshment for your mind, body,
and spirit. Draw near to God to find rest in
his presence. Remove any distractions that are keeping you from
hearing His voice. Silence the noise, quiet your mind. Take
(05:55):
a deep breath as you exhale relief any anxious thoughts
and worries to ease your mind. Breathe in and out.
Close your eyes and imagine a world filled with love, peace, joy, hope,
(06:18):
and generosity. Imagine a neighborhood with neighbors serving and loving
one another. Imagine a community where the needs of the
poor have been met. Imagine a justice system free of
corruption and bribery. Open your eyes and look around you.
(06:41):
Know you can transform the world around you by following
God's ways. Rest knowing you will wake up in a
better world because of God's presence in your life. Take
delight in His word. Allow His desires to become your desas.
(07:01):
Surrender and submit to God, and He will give you rest.
Breathe then and out, close your eyes. Reflect on His commands.
Confess any that are a struggle for you to keep.
Confess any times when you are more concerned with the
(07:22):
ways of this world than the ways of God. Ask
God to help you value Him and his word above
all else. Breathe in and out slowly. As you breathe in,
feel his forgiveness soften your heart. When you exhale, Let
(07:44):
go of your guilt and shame. Surrender to God's love
and find inner peace and rest in this sweet surrender.
Rejoice in the righteousness of the Lord. Praise Him for
his will, wisdom, and guidance. Thank Him for leading you
to the path of life. Praise Him for his righteousness
(08:08):
and sacrifice that secures your salvation. Think of someone who
knows and loves God but is struggling to follow his path. Tonight,
pray God will turn their heart towards Him and transform
their life. Now is the time to lay your requests
(08:29):
before God. Cast all your cares and anxieties on him,
and allow him to relieve your stress. Tonight, Pray for
self control and discipline to follow God and keep his commands.
Pray God will lead you away from temptation and deliver
(08:50):
you from the evil one. Pray for God's favor and
blessing to be upon you and your family. Pray for
wisdom and discernment as you navigate this world. Pray God
will transform your desires into His desires. Allow His word
to refresh your soul and renew your spirit. Take a
(09:14):
deep breath as you exhale, release any tension and stress
that is still lingering from to day. Relax your neck
and shoulders. Feel your body soften and your mind settle.
As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh your soul

and bring you peace to help you sleep through the night.
