Speaker 2 (02:54):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep psalm by pray dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm sixteen. Take a deep
breath Inhale and exhale. Slowly, close your eyes and focus
on releasing the tension in your body. Relax your neck
(03:15):
and shoulders. Gently rest your fingers by your side or
on your lap, whichever is more comfortable for you. As
you breathe in, feel your chest expand as your lungs
fill with air. When you exhale, visualize your muscles relaxing
(03:36):
as your chest slowly falls. Breathe in and out. Clear
your mind and think about who you are to God.
Remember you are a child of God, whom he dearly loves.
Know he takes delight in you. Know he cares for
(03:57):
you and wants to alleviate your stress and give you rest.
Know He has rescued you and saved you. You are His.
Breathe in and out, open your eyes and know He
is with you right now. Breathe in his goodness. Breathe
(04:21):
out your worry. Take a deep breath and release the
stress and tension in your muscles. As God's presence calms
your mind and body, focus on opening your heart to
hear his voice. Listen to your heartbeat and focus on
breathing in and out slowly until your heart rate slows down.
(04:47):
As you get ready to meditate on God's word, allow
his still small voice to lead you down a safe,
secure path that leads to peaceful rest. Invite the presence
of God as you sleep. Listen to his word and
focus on the joy, hope, and peace he brings that
(05:11):
will enable you to rest through the night. Psalm sixteen
from the King James's version says, preserve me, o God,
for in THEE do I put my trust O my soul.
Thou hast said unto the Lord. Thou art, My Lord,
My goodness extendeth not to THEE, but to the saints
(05:33):
that are in the earth, and to the Excellent in
whom is all my delight. Their sorrows shall be multiplied,
that hasten after another God, their drink offerings of blood
will I not offer nor take up their names into
my lips. The Lord is in the portion of mine
inheritance and of my cup. Thou maintainest my lot. The
(05:58):
lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places. Yea, I
have a goodly heritage. I will bless the Lord, who
hath given me counsel. My reins also instruct me in
the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me,
because he is at my right hand. I shall not
(06:19):
be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth.
My flesh also shall rest in hope. For Thou wilt
not leave my soul in hell. Neither wilt thou suffer
thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me
The path of life in thy presence is fullness of joy.
(06:43):
At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Bask
in the presence of God. Take refuge in him, for
he is your portion and your cup, and he will
help you rest safely and securely. Listen for his voice,
Quiet your mind, allow his peace to wash over you.
(07:08):
Breathe then and out, close your eyes and imagine the
delightful inheritance that awaits you. In the Kingdom of heaven.
Imagine how joyous and wonderful it will be to spend
in eternity walking with God, praising him and loving him.
(07:30):
Open your eyes and visualize the hope of eternity filling
your room. Take a deep breath as you inhale, feel
His love and delight enter every fiber of your being,
bringing nourishment to your bones and rest to your flesh.
As you exhale, release any worries and doubts and completely
(07:53):
surrender to God, and He will give you a peaceful rest.
Close your eyes. Breathe then and out reflect on His commands.
Confess any that are a struggle for you to keep.
Ask God to help you value Him and his word
(08:14):
above all else. Breathe in His forgiveness and grace. As
you exhale, let go of your guilt and shame. Surrender
to God's love and find inner peace and rest in
this sweet surrender. Take delight in the Lord and his goodness.
(08:36):
Allow his joy to gladden your heart. Rejoice in his
wonderful name. Praise God for keeping you safe and secure.
Think about the times He has protected you and give
him thanks. Praise God for guiding you walking alongside you
(08:57):
down the path of life that is filled with joyous
hope and peaceful rest. Think of someone who is struggling
with feeling the joy of the Lord. Pray God will
touch their heart to lighten their load and give them
peaceful rest to renew their spirit. Now is the time
(09:19):
to lay your requests before God. Cast all your cares
and anxieties on him and he will relieve your stress
from today. Pray for his protection as you sleep. Pray
you will feel safe and secure in his arms. Pray
for guidance as you follow his ways. Allow His truth
(09:42):
to fill your soul with hope. Tonight, pray for peaceful
rest that will rejuvenate your body, keeping you healthy for life.
Take a deep breath as you exhale, release any tension
and stress us that is still lingering from today. Relax
(10:04):
your neck and shoulders. Feel your body soften and your
mind settle. As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh
your soul and bring you peace to help you sleep
through the night.
