seas and speak peace over me as I sleep, when

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Hello, I'm grace for tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm forty two. Retreat to
a quiet place to meditate on God's word. This will
keep you focused on finding rest in God's presence. Get
in a comfortable position, lying down on a bed or sofa,

(02:53):
or sitting up in a chair. Relax your neck and shoulders,
rest your hands gently by your side or on your lap,
and take a few deep breaths. Close your eyes and
breathe in and out slowly. Clear your mind, and think

(03:15):
about who God is. He is your creator that gives
you life. He is your savior that rescues you. He
is your rock that gives you a firm place to
stand Inhale and exhale slowly through your nose. Breathe in

(03:36):
his kindness and love. Breathe out your worry and stress.
Surrender to God and He will give you rest from
the load you are carrying from today. Release any tension
in your body, Open your mind and heart to hear
his voice. Ask for him to speak to you through

(03:58):
his word. Listen to his still small voice that will
satisfy your soul and nourish your bones. Breathe in and out.
The Bible tells us to remember God's goodness and faithfulness
during difficult times. Tonight, let's reflect on who God is

(04:21):
and find satisfaction in him alone. Psalm forty two from
the King James version says, as the heart panteth after
the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee. O God,
my soul thirsteth for God. For the Living God. When

(04:41):
shall I come and appear before God? My tears have
been my meet day and night, while they continually say
unto me, where is Thy God? When I remember these things,
I pour out my soul in me. For I had
gone with the multitude. I went with them to the

(05:01):
House of God with the voice of joy and praise,
with a multitude that kept holy day. Why art thou
cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted
in me? Hope thou in God, for I shall yet
praise Him for the help of His countenance. O, my God,

(05:24):
my soul is cast down within me. Therefore I will
remember thee from the land of Jordan and of the Hermonites,
from the hill Mizar Deep calleth unto Deep. At the
noise of thy water spouts, all thy waves and thy
billows are gone over me. Yet the Lord will command

(05:45):
his loving kindness in the daytime and in the night.
His song shall be with me and my prayer. Unto
the God of my life. I will say, unto God,
my Rock, why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I
mourning because of the oppression of the enemy, as with
the sword in my bones? Mine enemies reproach me, while

(06:09):
they say daily unto me, where is Thy God? Why
art thou cast down? O my soul? And why art
thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God, For I
shall yet praise Him who is the health of my
countenance and my God the Soulmus reminds us that God

(06:30):
is our savior, our Rock, and the mighty One. He
reminds us his loving kindness sustains us throughout our trials.
As we prepare for sleep, God is ready to rescue
and deliver us from our fears and worries, and to
sustain us and protect us through the night. Breathe in

(06:53):
and out slowly. When you inhale, allow your chest to
fully expand before exhaling. When you exhale, release any tension
in your body. Breathe in and out. Meditate on God's
goodness and faithfulness in your life. Remember the times He

(07:16):
has helped you and comforted you. Allow these memories to
fill your heart with hope and joy. Tonight, take a
deep breath, close your eyes and imagine a dear thirsty
for water being quenched by the streams flowing through the forest.

(07:36):
Like a dear pants for water. Know your soul pants
for God and can only be quenched by His eternal
springs of life. Allow His waters to wash over you
and to rejuvenate your body. Allow His waters to cleanse
you and satisfy you. As you lay your head down

(07:58):
to rest, Breathe in and out. Think of a difficult
time when you lost all hope in God. Confess any
doubts you have of His goodness. Ask for his forgiveness,
and for him to remind you of all the good
things He has done in your life. Take a deep breath,

(08:22):
Allow His grace and love to wash over you. Exhale
slowly and release any shame you are holding on to
put your hope in God tonight. Breathe in and out.
Praise God for his faithfulness. Praise Him for the times

(08:43):
he has delivered you and comforted you. Praise Him for
quenching your thirst and satisfying your soul with his love
and salvation. Think of someone who is struggling with feelings
of depression and loneliness. Pray God will make his presence
known tonight so they can find hope and peace in

(09:04):
Him as they rest. Bring all your worry and anxiety
to the Lord. No, he has not forgotten you, and
he is ready to help you. Put your hope in him.
Believing He will be faithful to answer your prayers at
the right time. Pray God will gently remind you of

(09:26):
his love and faithfulness when you are feeling hopeless. Pray
your dreams will be filled with his goodness Tonight. Pray
God will draw you near to him. Pray for His
presence to fill your room as you sleep. Pray God
will protect you and your family throughout the night. Take

(09:48):
a deep breath inhale and exhale. Slowly release any stress
lingering from today. Find comfort and peace in God's presence
as your body relaxes and your mind settles. Allow God
to refresh your soul and bring you peace to help
