to sleep, remind my heart that it can rest in you.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on song forty six. There is
a lot going on in our lives and in our
world right now, so let's take a few moments to
get comfortable. Relax your body, clear your mind, and settle

(03:13):
your heart before we begin. Make sure you are in
a quiet place right now, free of distractions, to help
you receive God's word and hear his voice of truth.
Lie down flat on your back or sit straight up
in your favorite chair. Relax your neck and shoulders, and

(03:35):
rest your hands gently by your side or in your lap.
Take a deep breath, allow your chest to fully expand
before exhaling. As you exhale, release the stress in your
muscles and let go of the anxious thoughts crowding your mind.

(03:55):
Make space to meditate on the word of the Lord.
Breathe in and out, close your eyes and focus on
the Almighty One who is with you tonight, giving you
a secure place to rest, a peaceful state of mind,
to help you experience a deep sleep that will rejuvenate

(04:18):
your body and mind. Take a deep breath. Feel your
lungs completely fill with air as the presence of the
Lord fills your space. Tonight, be still and take refuge
in God, whose strength and power will protect you through
the night. Psalm forty six from the King James version

(04:40):
says God is our refuge and strength, a very present
help in trouble. Therefore, will not we fear, though the
earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into
the midst of the sea, though the waters thereof roar
and be troubled, though the the mountains shake with the swelling.

(05:01):
Thereof Seilah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall
make glad. The City of God, the holy place of
the Tabernacles of the Most High God, is in the
midst of her. She shall not be moved. God shall
help her. And that right early the heathen raged, the

(05:24):
kingdoms were moved. He uttered his voice, the earth melted.
The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of
Jacob is our refuge Selah. Come behold the works of
the Lord. What desolations he hath made in the earth.
He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth.

(05:44):
He breaketh the bough and cutteth the spear. In sunder,
he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still and
know that I am God. I will be exalted among
the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth. The
Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob

(06:05):
is our refuge Silah. The Bible describes God as our fortress,
our refuge, and our strength, our ever present help in trouble.
It is clear God is always there to help us,
to keep us secure, and to bring us peace. As

(06:26):
we lie down to go to sleep, we have nothing
to fear because God's plan has always been to rescue
us from the very beginning of time. As you focus
on God as the almighty King who has control over
everything in your life, take a deep breath and exhale, slowly,

(06:48):
releasing any fears, worries, or doubts you may have carried
with you from the day. Bask in his powerful presence.
Allow his peace to war wash over you as you
take refuge in him. Breathe in and out slowly, close
your eyes and imagine a cool river flowing through a

(07:12):
parched land, thirsty for the waters of life. As the
river overflows onto the land, it brings every plant, every
shrub to life. You are the parched land, and God
is the cool river flowing through your veins, bringing you

(07:33):
back to life, restoring your body, refreshing your soul, renewing
your spirit. Rest tonight, knowing you will never thirst again.
Think of a time when you were overcome by fear
and you veered off God's path. Confess any sins you

(07:53):
have not acknowledged. Draw near to God and allow him
to take away your fear and give you his peace.
Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly, allow his forgiveness to
wash over you. Allow the coolness of his peaceful water

(08:14):
soothe your soul. Look to God for strength and courage,
and you will be able to walk on the water
with him even as the world is crumbling around you.
Release any tension in your body and relax your body
from your head to your toes. Rejoice in the Lord's strength.

(08:38):
Praise him for the times he has helped you and
delivered you. Thank Him for rescuing you. Thank him for
his salvation that keeps you secure. Think of someone who
needs strength tonight. Pray God will give them courage and
strength to face their troubles tomorrow. Pray for Him to

(08:59):
keep them in perfect peace tonight as they sleep. Lift
your requests to the Sovereign Almighty Lord. Know everything is
possible with him. Pray for God's help and deliverance in
a difficult situation. Pray he will give you peaceful rest tonight.

(09:23):
Pray for God to draw you near to Him tonight.
Pray you will not be afraid as you dwell safely
in his hands. Pray for God's protection over you and
your family as you sleep. Pray for God's protection over
those who love Him and are facing difficulty tonight. Breathe

(09:45):
in and out slowly. Feel His presence keep you in
perfect peace, helping you drift off to sleep where your mind, body,
and soul can find red through the night.
