Speaker 2 (02:25):
Hello, I'm grace for tonight's sleepsalm by pray dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm forty seven. Begin this
meditation by focusing on controlling your breathing to help your
body relax. Breathe in and out slowly. Notice how your

(02:46):
chest rises and falls with each breath. The slower you inhale,
the more your chest expands. When you exhale. After allowing
your chest to fully expand, more oxygen will flow to
rejuvenate your body. Take another deep breath and release any

(03:08):
stress and tension in your muscles. As you exhale, clear
your mind and focus your thoughts on God. Remember he
is the all powerful, sovereign king that rules over all
nations and all their people. We can rest assured that
He is in control over all events in our world

(03:31):
and all the circumstances in our lives. As our king,
he cares about our lives and works for the good
of us, for we are his people and he is
our God. Breathe in and out slowly. With your next exhale,
breathe out your stress and worry from to day surrender

(03:55):
to the almighty King that protects you and sustains you
through the night. Ask him to speak to you through
tonight's Psalm. Breathe in and out slowly, close your eyes
and listen to God's word, and allow the truth of
who he is bring you comfort and hope as you sleep.

(04:20):
The Bible tells us God is the King over all
the earth, and one day all nations and all rulers
will recognize him as the one true King. Tonight, as
you reflect on his power and sovereignty, allow his hope
to bring you joy and peace as you prepare for rest.

(04:42):
Psalm forty seven from the King James version says, Oh,
clap your hands, all ye people, shout unto God with
the voice of triumph. For the Lord most High is terrible.
He is a great king over all the earth. He
shall subdue the people under us and the nations under
our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the

(05:05):
excellency of Jacob, whom he loved. Seillah, God is gone up.
With a shout the Lord, with the sound of a trumpet,
sing praises to God, Sing praises, Sing praises unto our King.
Sing praises, for God is the king of all the earth.
Sing Ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen.

(05:30):
God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes
of the people are gathered together, even the people of
the God of Abraham, for the shields of the earth
belong unto God. He is greatly exalted. No matter what
is happening in our lives or in our world, we

(05:51):
can always find joy and hope in the power and
sovereignty of the Lord. Praising God for who he is
rather than what he does, changes our perspective and allows
us to experience all the wonderful things God has for
us his transcendent joy, hope, and peace. Take a deep breath, exhale, slowly,

(06:19):
close your eyes, and imagine God as the powerful, almighty King,
sitting on his heavenly throne, where he rules the nations
and watches over his people. This same king that has
the power to create and destroy nations is the same
king that knows every detail about you and uses his

(06:43):
power to protect you and preserve you. Take refuge in
the Lord as your king, and dwell in his safety
to night. Breathe in and out slowly meditate on God's
goodness and faithfulness. Know he is a king that loves
you and cares for you. Take delight in the inheritance

(07:06):
that awaits you in His kingdom, an inheritance that can
never be destroyed nor taken away from you. Praise Him
for the glorious king he is. Think of a time
when you lost sight of God's power and sovereignty. Confess
when you have put your hope and trust in the
politicians and rulers of this world rather than in God.

(07:31):
Ask for his forgiveness. Pray he will help you keep
your eyes on Him and turn your ears toward His
word as you navigate this world. Breathe in and out slowly,
allow His grace and love to wash over you. Release
any shame and guilt you are experiencing. Know he is

(07:55):
your king and he will take care of you better
than any one or anything in this world. Praise the
Lord for his power and sovereignty. Thank Him for being
the one you can count on and turn to for everything.
Thank Him for the wonderful inheritance that awaits you as

(08:16):
a child of the one True King. Think of someone
who needs to know who God really is. Pray God
will soften their heart and draw them toward him. Pray
they will put their hope in Him. Lift your requests
to the Sovereign Almighty Lord. Know everything is possible with him.

(08:39):
Pray for the leaders of your nation. Pray they will
turn to God and submit to the One True King.
Pray for God to make his presence known during times
of trouble, so you will not forget who it is
you serve. Pray for his intervention over any difficult circumstances

(09:00):
in your life. Pray for God to give you hope
and peace. Tonight, as you lay down to rest, pray
you will experience a deep sleep that will rejuvenate your body, mind,
and spirit. Breathe in and out slowly, bask in the

(09:23):
glory of the King. Allow his light to warm your
heart and soothe your soul. Tonight, rest in knowing the
Sovereign King has you in his hands.
