Speaker 2 (02:48):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on song forty eight. As we
prepare to meditate on God's word, let's focus on relaxing
our bodies and opening our minds and hearts to hear
his truth. First, take a deep breath, allowing your chest
(03:13):
to fully expand hold your breath for a few seconds,
and then exhale slowly. Breathe in and out. Retreat to
a quiet space and get in a comfortable position. You
can lie flat down on your back, or you can
(03:35):
sit straight up in a chair. Spend a few moments
inhaling and exhaling slowly through your nose with each new breath.
Focus on relaxing each part of your body and releasing
any tension in your muscles and joints. Soften your fingers
(03:56):
and toes, close your eyes, and breathe in and out slowly,
clear your mind and focus on God's goodness and righteousness.
Meditate on his unfailing love. Know he cares for you
(04:16):
and wants to give you rest. Take a deep breath
and get ready to listen to God's word. Ask for
God to inscribe his word on your heart so that
you can carry His truth and his love with you
wherever you go tonight. Let go of your fears, worries,
(04:38):
and doubts and allow God's voice to guide you down
a safe, secure path that will lead you to hope,
joy and peace. Psalm forty eight from the King James
version says, great is the Lord, and greatly to be
praised in the city of our God, in the mountain
(05:00):
of His holiness, beautiful. For situation, the joy of the
whole earth is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north,
the city of the Great King God is known in
her palaces for a refugee. For lo the kings were assembled,
they passed by together they saw it, and so they marveled.
(05:24):
They were troubled and hastened away. Fear took hold upon
them there, and pain as of a woman in travail.
Thou breakest the ships of Tarsish with an east wind.
As we have heard, so have we seen in the
city of the Lord of Hosts, in the city of
our God. God will establish it forever. Selah, we have
(05:48):
thought of thy loving kindness, O God, in the midst
of thy temple, according to thy name, O God, so
is thy praise unto the ends of the earth. Thy
right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice.
Let the daughters of Judah be glad because of Thy judgments.
(06:09):
Walk about Zion and go round about her. Tell the
towers thereof mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces,
that ye may tell it to the generation following. For
this God is our God forever and ever. He will
be our guide, even unto death. In the presence of God.
(06:32):
We can find our joy, security, and salvation. He is
our strength and fortress. Before we go to sleep, let's
take a few moments and focus on feeling the presence
of God. Take a deep breath, allow your chest to
fully expand and exhale slowly with your next breath. As
(06:56):
your chest expands, imagine your space being filled with the
presence of God. Feel his joy lighten your heart, and
his peace calm your mind. Brey then and out. Feel
the warmth of his presence radiate through your room. Relax
(07:17):
your neck and shoulders. Bree then and out. Rest in
his presence, Knowing his salvation makes you secure forever. Rejoice
in his righteousness. Know his word will withstand the test
of time as it is passed down from generation to generation.
(07:40):
His word will never die, and his love will never fail.
Take a deep breath and rest in him. Close your
eyes and imagine a beautiful city filled with the glory
of the Lord, fortified with his strength. Like this beautiful city,
(08:02):
the Lord is within you, protecting you and sustaining you.
He is your fortress. You can rest knowing he is
watching over you throughout the night. Think of a time
when you doubted God's love for you. Confess your doubts
and ask God to continually remind you of who He
(08:24):
is and who you are to him. Bray then and out, slowly,
allow his forgiveness to wash over you. Release any shame
and guilt you are experiencing. Know his love for you
will never fail. He will always make his presence known
(08:45):
to his children. Praise the Lord for his strength and power.
Praise him for the times he has protected you. Praise
Him for his salvation that keeps you secure in Him.
Think of some one who needs God's strength tonight. Pray
God will intervene in their circumstances and will give them
(09:07):
rest tonight to prepare them for tomorrow. Lay your requests
before the Lord. Cast your cares and anxieties on him,
for he loves you. Pray for God's guidance in your life.
Pray he will lead you down a secure path to
help you rest in him. Pray for God's deliverance from
(09:31):
your troubles. Pray you will put your trust in Him
and will continue to seek Him no matter what you
are facing. Pray for God's protection as you sleep. Pray
ye will help you rest in His perfect peace and
experience deep sleep tonight. Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly,
(09:55):
and release any stress or tension that is still lingering
from today. Take refuge in the Lord and find strength
for tomorrow and peaceful rest for tonight. As your body relaxes,
allow God to lead you to a quiet place where
you can sleep safely and soundly.
