(01:16):
and repentance. Forgive me God. I want to fall into

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm fifty one this evening.
Begin by focusing on controlling your breathing to relax your
body and open your mind and heart to receive God's truth.
You can lie down flat on your back, or you
(03:06):
can sit straight up in a chair. Relax your neck
and shoulders. Put one hand on your chest and one
hand on your stomach. Breathe in slowly through your nose.
Notice your chest is relatively flat while your stomach expands.
Hold your breath for a few seconds. Purse your lips gently,
(03:31):
press on your stomach, and exhale slowly. As you inhale,
Notice how the oxygen flows from your nose through your
lungs to your abdomen As you exhale, feel the stress
in your muscles and joints. Release, relaxing your body. If
(03:52):
you are experiencing tension in a particular area, Breathe in
and out slowly and focus on softening that part of
your body with each new breath. Feel your heart rate
slow down, settling you down for sleep. Take a deep
breath through your nose. Exhale slowly, and surrender any anxious
(04:17):
thoughts you have. Release any stress you are carrying with
you from today. Close your eyes and imagine God lifting
your burdens. Feel the weight come off your shoulders, helping
you unwind for the night. Although nothing can separate us
(04:37):
from the love of God, sometimes our unconfessed sin can
hinder our relationship with Him and make him seem far away. Tonight,
let's bring the heaviest pieces of our heart to God
and find hope and freedom in his forgiveness. Psalm fifty
(04:58):
one from the King James version says, have mercy upon me,
O God, according to thy loving kindness, according unto the
multitude of thy tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions, Wash
me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever
(05:19):
before me against THEE THEE. Only have I sinned and
done this evil in thy sight, that thou mightest be
justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold,
I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my
mother conceive me. Behold thou desirest truth in the inward
(05:42):
parts and in the hidden part. Thou shalt make me
to no wisdom. Purge me with hygesop, and I shall
be clean. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones
which thou hast broken may rejel. Hide thy face from
(06:02):
my sins and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in
me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right
spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence,
and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto
me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with
thy free spirit. Then I will teach transgressors thy ways,
(06:25):
and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Deliver me from
blood guiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation, and
my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. O Lord,
Open thou my lips, and my mouth shall shew forth
thy praise for Thou desirest not sacrifice, else would I
(06:47):
give it? Thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices
of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart.
O God, thou wilt not despise, do good in thy
good pleasure unto Zion, build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
(07:09):
with burnt offering and whole burnt offering. Then shall they
offer bullocks upon thine altar. At night, when we find
ourselves in a quiet, dark place, we sometimes struggle with
our sin and shame. Our sin and shame can keep
us up at night, making it hard to find rest,
(07:31):
draining the life and energy from our body. But God
doesn't want us to sit in our sin and shame.
He wants us to bring them to him so that
He can cleanse us and free us. In his mercy
and grace, we can find rest that restores our mind, body,
and soul. Take a deep breath, inhale and exhale slowly
(07:58):
through your nose. Close your eyes, and imagine a book
about your life that contains every mistake you have ever made,
every sin you have ever committed. This book seems heavy
and the ending seems hopeless. Now think of God blotting
(08:19):
out every iniquity, leaving the pages in your book whiter
than snow. Open your eyes and know God has taken
every sin and every source of shame and has thrown
them into the sea of forgetfulness. Your ending is full
of hope and happiness because of His great love and
(08:42):
compassion for you. Breathe in and out slowly, Meditate on
His mercy and grace. Feel the joy and freedom of
his salvation. Know he will lead you down his path
of life and righteousness, where you will be safe and secure,
where He will sustain you every day and night. Inhale
(09:06):
slowly through your nose. As you exhale, let God lift
your burdens and take you by the hand to guide
you to a place where His desires become yours, a
place where you can rest peacefully through the night. Confess
any sin to the Lord and ask for his forgiveness.
(09:28):
Ask him to help you face any consequences and to
restore the joy of your relationship with him. Take a
deep breath, feel his mercy and grace wash over you.
With your next exhale, Let go of any guilt and
shame you are experiencing. Know He will cleanse you with
(09:49):
his righteousness from the inside out. Praise the Lord for
his righteousness. Thank him for the grace and love he
has shown you. Thank Him for his salvation that brings
you joy in the night. Think of someone who needs
to experience God's grace and love tonight. Pray you will
(10:09):
take away their guilt and shame and help them rest
through the night. Lay your requests before the Lord. Surrender
any stress and anxiety from today. Put everything in his hands,
and allow His hope and peace to wash over you
and calm your mind, body, and soul for sleep. Pray
(10:32):
God will deliver you from the evil one and lead
you away from temptation. Pray your choices will glorify Him
and bring you to a place where you can rest easily.
Pray God will create a pure heart and spirit in
you so that you will please him. Pray you will
renew your spirit as you rest tonight. Pray God will
(10:56):
help you rest in His grace and love. Pray you
will experience a deep, RESTful sleep throughout the night. Breathe
in and out slowly. Know God will sustain you throughout
the night. As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh
(11:16):
your soul and bring you peace to help you rest
through the night.
