Speaker 2 (02:49):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on song fifty four. Let's begin
by focusing on getting comfortable and controlling our breathing to
unwind from the day and prepare to listen to God's word. First,
(03:10):
retreat to a quiet place. Get in a comfortable position,
either lying down or sitting up. Make sure your back
is flat and straight, and rest your hands gently by
your side or on your lap. Take a deep breath,
allow your chest to fully expand. Exhale slowly and release
(03:36):
the tension in your muscles. Relax your neck and shoulders,
and soften your fingers and toes. With your next breath,
imagine God's strength filling your chest. Imagine his breath filling
your lungs. Exhale slowly, and imagine His strength and life
(03:58):
restoring you and sustaining you through the night. As your
body relaxes. Focus on opening your mind and heart. Take
a deep breath as you exhale, release any stress and
anxiety from today. Know God cares for you and he
(04:20):
is ready to lift your burdens and renew your spirit.
Focus your thoughts on His goodness and faithfulness. Breathe in
and out slowly with each new breath. Feel your heart great.
Slow down as your heart settles. Ask to hear his
(04:43):
still small voice that comforts you and brings you hope
in the darkness of the night. Take another deep breath
and get ready to listen to God's word. The Bible
tells us we will face persecution and trouble in this world. However,
(05:03):
we shouldn't be afraid because there is nothing God can't
help us overcome. Let's find comfort and strengthen our Lord
as we meditate on his word to night. Psalm fifty
four from the King James version says, save me, O God,
by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. Hear
(05:26):
my prayer, O God, give ear to the words of
my mouth, for strangers are risen up against me, and
oppressors seek after my soul. They have not set God
before them. Selah, behold God is mine helper. The Lord
is with them that uphold my soul. He shall reward
(05:47):
evil unto mine enemies, cut them off in thy truth.
I will freely sacrifice unto thee. I will praise thy name,
O Lord, for it is good. For he hath delivered
me out of all trouble, and mine eye hath seen
his desire upon mine enemies. When someone hurts us or
(06:08):
persecutes us, we have the tendency to want to lash
out and hurt them too. But the Psalmist reminds us
to look to God to deliver us from those who
rise against us. When we face trouble in this world,
we are to look to God for his strength and
for his help. As you lay down to rest, lay
(06:31):
down your troubles at his feet and allow Him to
save you and vindicate you. Take a deep breath as
your chest rises. Think about God's strength upholding you, lifting
you above your circumstances and your enemies. Exhale slowly as
(06:52):
your chest falls. Feel his strength spread throughout your body,
sustaining you through the night. Close your eyes and imagine
God's protections spreading over you, keeping you warm, safe and
secure as you sleep. Breathe in and out. Relax your body.
(07:18):
Allow the joy of His truth to lighten your heart
and ease your mind. Think of a time when you
took revenge upon some one who had wronged you. Confess
any bitterness and resentment you may still harbor in your heart.
Ask God for his forgiveness. Ask him to help you.
(07:39):
Trust Him to deliver you from those who are against you.
Breathe in and out slowly. Feel His love and grace
wash over you. With your next exhile, release any guilt
and shame you are experiencing. Praise the name the Lord,
(08:01):
for he is good. Praise him for his faithfulness. Thank
him for the times he has helped you and delivered
you from trouble. Think of someone who needs God's help
and deliverance today. Pray God will intervene in their circumstances.
Pray they will find hope and peace to rest through
(08:22):
the night. Lay your requests before the Lord. Know he
will hear your prayers and he will answer you when
the time is right. Pray God will protect those who
are facing persecution tonight. Pray they will be able to
find rest in him. Pray God will renew your spirit
(08:45):
as you meditate on his word. Pray he will give
you strength to face whatever tomorrow brings. Pray God will
deliver you from your troubles and alleviate your stress and anxiety.
Pray you will be able to experience deep, RESTful sleep tonight.
(09:05):
Breathe in and out slowly, close your eyes, and invite
God's presence as you sleep. Know he will watch over
you through the night. Feel your body softened and your
mind settle as your body relaxes. Allow God to refresh
(09:26):
your soul and bring you peace as you rest.
