Speaker 2 (02:44):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm six. As you lay down,
relax your shoulders, rest your arms by side, and take
a few deep breaths. Release any tension in your body,
(03:08):
close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly. Clear
your mind and focus your thoughts on God. Remember who
he is, your savior that loves you, pursues you, and
rescues you. He knows the weight of what you are
(03:31):
carrying from today, and he is ready to lift your burdens.
Breathe in and out slowly with your next exhale, Surrender
to your Savior and let go of your stress. For
his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Know
(03:53):
he came to give you rest for your soul. All
you have to do is accept his life of grace
and mercy. As your mind settles, focus on being still
listening to your Savior's sweet voice that will lead you
to a safe, secure place where you can find rest
(04:17):
for your mind body and soul. Whether our trials are
consequences of our sin or of the broken world we
live in, the Bible tells us we can find rest
knowing God is always with us, ready to rescue us,
(04:37):
redeem us, and restore us. Psalm six from the King
James's version says, O Lord, rebuke me, not in thine anger,
neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me,
O Lord, for I am weak. O Lord, heal me.
(05:00):
For my bones are vexed. My soul is also sore, vexed.
But thou, O Lord, how long return, O Lord, deliver
my soul? O save me for thy mercy's sake. For
in death there is no remembrance of thee in the grave.
Who shall give thee thanks. I am weary with my
(05:24):
groaning all the night. Make I my bed to swim,
I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is
consumed because of grief. It waxeth old. Because of all
mine enemies. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
(05:44):
For the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
The Lord hath heard my supplication. The Lord will receive
my prayer. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed.
Let them return and be ashamed. Suddenly. God's word makes
(06:05):
it clear. Nothing can separate us from God, not our sin,
not the brokenness in our world, not the troubles the
enemy brings upon us. Know God is always here to
rescue you, to help you, to heal you. He receives
(06:25):
your prayers and works on your behalf. Find comfort in
His word that brings nourishment to our bones and peace
to our anxious hearts. Turn to the Lord and bask
in his presence. Allow his mercy and love to wash
over you. Breathe in and out. As your chest rises,
(06:51):
feel the weight of your despair, of your difficulties. Be lifted.
As your chest falls, feel the peace of God. Put
your mind and soul at ease. Breathe in and out.
Know His mercy and grace are sufficient for you. His
(07:13):
power is made perfect in your weakness. You have nothing
to fear. Close your eyes, relax your body, and breathe
in and out, knowing His power rests on you. Tonight,
take a deep breath. When you inhale, imagine being filled
(07:38):
with joy and delight for the Lord. Take a moment
to praise him for his unfailing love and compassion that
save the world. Breathe out any distress you are feeling
from to day. Reflect on your circumstances to see what
is troubling you to day. If there is something you
(08:00):
have said or done that led to your troubles, ask
for God's forgiveness and mercy. He is here to forgive you,
to redeem you, not to punish you or forsake you.
Confess any shame you are holding on to, and allow
God to fill you with hope and love. Think about
(08:24):
the times God has shown you his mercy in your life.
Thank Him for his mercy and grace. Thank Him for
the times He has healed you or delivered you from
troubling circumstances. Praise Him for his faithfulness to redeem and
restore your life. Think of someone who is in need
(08:45):
of healing or deliverance and ask God to intervene in
their circumstances. Pray for God to heal them and to
bring restoration to their lives. Lay your requests before God.
Cast all your cares and anxieties on him. Allow His
(09:06):
hope and peace to fill your heart and mind, and
his comfort to help you experience a deep, RESTful sleep tonight.
Pray for God's intervention in your life. Ask for his
help in a trial you are facing or in a
relationship that needs to be reconciled. Pray God will have
(09:29):
mercy on you and your family. Ask him to help
you show mercy to those around you. Pray over any
shame you may have and ask God to replace it
with his love and grace. Pray God will help you
find your confidence in Him alone. Take a deep breath.
(09:53):
As you exhale, release any tension and stress that is
still lingering from today. Relax your neck and shoulders. Feel
your body softened and your mind settle. As your body relaxes,
(10:13):
allow God to refresh your soul and bring you peace
to help you rest through the night.
