Speaker 2 (02:43):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm seventy seven. Relax your
body and quiet your mind to receive God's word. Get
in a comfortable position. Make sure your back is flat
and straight to help the oxygen flow freely throughout your body.
(03:08):
Take a deep breath. Allow your chest to fully expand
as your lungs fill with air. Exhale slowly and release
any stress and tension in your muscles. Breathe in and
out slowly. Close your eyes and imagine walking down a
(03:31):
path where you feel safe and secure. Feel the mighty
hand of the Lord take you by the hand as
he guides you down his path that leads to joy,
peace and hope. His footprints can't be seen on the ground,
but his presence can be felt in the depths of
(03:52):
your soul. Allow him to refresh you and rejuvenate you. Tonight,
your eyes and take a deep breath. Meditate on his faithfulness.
Breathe in his goodness. Breathe out any fears and anxieties.
(04:13):
Take another deep breath as your chest rises. Lift your
burdens to God. Allow Him to carry your burdens and
give you rest. Exhale slowly and relax your neck and shoulders.
Soften every part of your body, from your head to
(04:34):
your fingers and toes. As your body and mind relax,
get ready to listen to God's word. Open your mind
and heart to hear his voice. When we are feeling
overwhelmed by our circumstances, we can remember the faithfulness of
God to comfort our spirit. Tonight, let's reflect on how
(04:59):
God has worked in the lives of his people throughout
history and how He is working in our lives in
the present. To find rest and refreshment in the hope
of the Lord. Psalm seventy seven from the King James's
version says, I cried unto God with my voice, even
(05:20):
unto God with my voice, and He gave ear unto me.
In the day of my troubles, I sought the Lord.
My sore ran in the night and ceased. Not my
soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God and was troubled.
I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Sellah, Thou holdest
(05:43):
mine eyes waking. I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
I have considered the days of old, the years of
ancient times. I called to remembrance my song in the night.
I commune with mine own heart, and my spirit made diligence.
So will the Lord cast off forever? And will he
(06:04):
be favorable? No more? Is his mercy clean gone forever?
Doth his promise fail for evermore? Hath God forgotten to
be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Sillah,
And I said, this is my infirmity. But I will
remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.
(06:28):
I will remember the works of the Lord. Surely I
will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also
of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. Thy way,
O God is in the sanctuary. Who is so great
a god as our God? Thou art the God that
doest wonders. Thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
(06:52):
Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people. The sons
of Jacob and Joseph. Silah, the waters saw thee o God.
The waters saw thee they were afraid. The depths also
were troubled. The clouds poured out water. The skies sent
out a sound. Thine arrows also went abroad. The voice
(07:16):
of Thy thunder was in the heaven. The lightnings lighted
the world. The earth trembled and shook. Thy way is
in the sea, and thy path in the great waters,
and thy footsteps are not known. Thou lettest thy people
like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
As you lay down to sleep, consider the works of
(07:39):
the Lord and meditate on his mighty deeds to find
hope and peace. May his works be a reminder of
his power and strength, of his faithfulness and love. Allow
his power to strengthen you, Allow his faithfulness to comfort you.
Breathe in and out slowly contemplate the miraculous ways God
(08:02):
has rescued his people throughout his word. Take a deep
breath as your chest rises. Think about God lifting you
above the people and the thoughts that hold you captive,
just as He lifted his people out of their oppression
in Egypt. With your next exhale, let go of your
(08:24):
fears and worries and allow His hands to part the
roaring seas and strike down anything that threatens to overwhelm you.
Take a deep breath. Breathe in his power and strength.
Breathe out any stress and tension. Close your eyes and
(08:46):
visualize the Lord as your shepherd. Like a good shepherd,
he will keep watch and protect you as you sleep.
In the daytime, he will make your paths straight and
lead you through the tumultuous waters on to dry land.
Think of a time when you doubted God's faithfulness. Confess
(09:09):
any fears and doubts you have tonight. Ask him to
remind you of his wondrous works. When you have doubts,
ask him to help you. Put your trust in him.
When troubles come your way. Take a deep breath. Allow
his forgiveness to wash over you as you exhale. Let
(09:31):
go of any guilt and shame you are experiencing. Know
he is always faithful to forgive you and restore you.
Rejoice in the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord. Praise
him for his mighty deeds. Thank him for the ways
he has worked on your behalf. Give him the glory
(09:53):
for any miracles he has performed in your life. Think
of someone who needs a miracle tonight. Pray God will
intervene in their circumstances and restore what is broken. Pray
God will comfort them with his hope and peace as
they lay down to sleep. Cry out to the Lord tonight.
(10:16):
Lay your struggles and troubles at his feet. Cast your
fears and anxieties on him. Know he will always be
faithful and listen to your requests. Put your trust in
Him and wait expectantly for his answer. Pray for God
to be your shepherd and guide you with his wisdom
(10:39):
and understanding. Pray you will walk with Him all the
days of your life and experience his joy and peace.
Pray for God to work on your behalf in a
specific area of your life. Pray he will help you
and keep you in his perfect peace as you patiently
(10:59):
wait on him. Time act. Pray for God to protect
you as you sleep. Pray he will comfort you through
the night. Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly, and release
any stress and tension that is still lingering from today.
Put your trust in God to protect you through the
(11:21):
night and to provide for you every day. Know He
is for you and is always working in your life
so that you may find rest, Breathe in and out slowly,
close your eyes, and allow God's presence to refresh your mind, body,
(11:42):
and soul as you sleep tonight.
