for your justice in our world. I take a deep

my sins and shame to you, knowing you are patient
and love me unconditionally. I praise you God for your

how to you, Oh Lord, lifting my request to you,
waiting expectantly for your work in my life and our world.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm eighty two. Seeing the
many needs in our communities and hearing about the many
injustices in the news can overwhelm our spirits with grief

(03:38):
and make our hearts heavy with anger and sadness. As
we prepare to listen to Tonight's palm, let's renew our
minds and spirits and lighten our hearts so that we
can find rest. Get in a comfortable position, whether you
are lying down or sitting up. Be sure to keep

(04:01):
your back flat and straight to open up your chest
and heart, allowing the oxygen to flow freely from the
air in your lungs to the blood in your heart.
Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly, and release any stress
and tension in your body. Focus on your heart beat.

(04:26):
Take note of how fast your heart is pumping. Take
a few deep breaths Inhale slowly and allow your lungs
to completely fill with air. Hold your breath for a
few seconds. Then exhale slowly and relax your body. With

(04:48):
each breath, your heart rate will slow down, helping to
calm your mind. Soften your body, and quiet your spirit.
Breathe in and out slowly. Close your eyes and prepare
to receive God's word. Although God is sovereign over all

(05:12):
the nations and their leaders, the Bible reminds us we
have an important role to play in bringing His justice
to our world. To night, receive strength from God's word
to stand up for what is right in his eyes,
and find rest for your spirit as you submit to

(05:33):
Him and his ways. Psalm eighty two from the King
James's version says, God standeth in the congregation of the Mighty.
He judgeth among the gods. How long will ye judge
unjustly and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. Defend
the poor and the fatherless, Do justice to the afflicted

(05:57):
and needy. Deliver the poor and needy, Rid them out
of the hand of the wicked. They know not, neither
will they understand. They walk on in darkness. All the
foundations of the earth are out. Of course. I have said,
ye are gods, and all of you are children of

(06:19):
the most High. But ye shall die like men and
fall like one of the princes. Arise, O, God, judge
the earth, for thou shalt inherit all nations. Meditate on
the mercy and justice of the Lord. Picture him as
a righteous judge that perfectly rules over the earth with

(06:43):
fairness and equity. He hears every case and cast judgment
in his righteousness and in his truth. One day his
justice will prevail, and there will be accountability for all
who defended the unjust and showed partiality to the wicked.

(07:03):
Find comfort in the hope of God's redemption of his
word and restoration of his justice. Take a deep breath
as your lungs fill with air. Imagine God filling you
with his strength and courage to defend the weak and
the fatherless, the poor and the oppressed. Exhale slowly and

(07:27):
feel his strength spread throughout your body, reaching the depths
of your soul to restore you, rejuvenate you, renew you.
Think of a time when you did not stand against
injustice due to fear. Ask for his forgiveness. Pray he
will help you stand for His justice in our world.

(07:51):
Take a deep breath, allow his mercy to wash over you.
Exhale slowly, and surrender your sin and shame to the Lord.
Know he is patient with you, and he loves you unconditionally.
Praise God for his mercy and justice. Rejoice in his sovereignty.

(08:14):
Thank him for the times he has made things right
in your life and in our world. Think of someone
who needs to experience God's justice in an unfair situation.
Pray God will intervene on their behalf. Pray he will
comfort them with his peace. Tonight. Cry out to God,

(08:37):
lift your requests to him. Wait expectantly for Him to
work in your life and to work in our world.
Pray over the leaders of your country and the judges
in your judicial system. Pray they will seek God and
his wisdom and discernment when making judgments. Pray over an

(08:58):
injustice in the world that weighs heavily on your heart.
Pray for God to right this wrong with his justice.
Pray you will lighten your heart and give you rest
to night, knowing the world is in his hands. Pray
over your community. Pray God will help you serve the

(09:20):
vulnerable and the oppressed so that they may experience God's
love and peace. Take a deep breath. Feel God lift
the burdens from your shoulders. Exhale slowly, and release any
tension that is still lingering from to day. Breathe in

(09:41):
His peace. Breathe out your fears and worries. Trust in
the sovereignty of the Lord. As you relax, allow God's
peace to refresh your mind, body, and soul as you
sleep tonight.
