Speaker 2 (02:51):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on song eighty three. Be still
before God and know He is sovereign over every crisis
in our world and over every circumstance in your life.
(03:12):
Take a deep breath. Breathe in His power and strength.
Breathe out your stress and anxiety from today. Know He
is with you and is willing to lift your burdens
and give you rest tonight. Inhale and exhale slowly as
(03:36):
God lifts your burdens. Feel a weight come off your
shoulders and feel the lightness in your chest and heart.
With your next exhale, surrender to the Lord and trust
Him for his provision and protection. Know he will sustain
(03:56):
you through the night. Take a deep breath. Feel the
air fill your lungs. Once your chest fully expands, hold
your breath for a few seconds, Exhale slowly and release
any tension in your body. Take a few more deep breaths.
(04:22):
With each breath, feel your heart rate slow down and
your muscles and joints soften. As you get ready to
listen to tonight's psalm, lift your anxious thoughts to God.
Clear your mind of any distractions, and focus on hearing
(04:43):
God's voice through his word. When the enemy rises up
against us, we can rest assured that God is with
us to help us fight our battles. We can find
comfort knowing we never have to face adverse alone. Psalm
eighty three from the King James's version says, keep not
(05:07):
thou silence, O God, Hold not they peace, And be
not still, O God. For lo thine enemies make a tumult,
And they that hate THEE have lifted up the head.
They have taken crafty council against thy people and consulted
against thy hidden ones. They have said, come and let
(05:30):
us cut them off from being a nation, that the
name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For
they have consulted together with one consent. They are confederate
against Thee. The tabernacles of Edam and the Ishmaelites of
Moab and the Hagarenes, Jibal and Ammon and Amelek, the Philistines,
(05:53):
with the inhabitants of tyr asur Is joined with them.
They have hope been the children of Lot Sellah. Do
unto them, as unto the Medianites, as to Caesera, as
to Jabin. At the brook of Quisson, which perished at Endore,
they became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles
(06:17):
like Orab and zib Yea, all their princes as Ziba
and Zalmunna, who said, let us take to ourselves the
houses of God and possession, O, My God, Make them
like a wheel, as the stubble before the wind, as
the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth
(06:41):
the mountains on fire. So persecute them with thy tempest
and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces
with shame, that they may seek Thy name, O Lord.
Let them be confounded and troubled for ever, Yea. Let
them be put to shame and perish, that men may
(07:01):
know that Thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the
most high over all the earth. Meditate on the sovereignty
of the Lord. Think about the glorious day when every
knee will bow and confess He is Lord. Take joy
in knowing and serving the Almighty God. Invite his presence
(07:25):
as you sleep and allow his power to rest on
you through the night. Breathe in and out slowly. Close
your eyes and imagine being on a boat in the
middle of the sea. The waves are gently rocking you
back and forth. In the distance, you see a storm
(07:49):
ruing the tumultuous waves plunging into the depths of the sea.
You watch the waves rise quickly, but they fall before
they reach you. Know as your enemies rise against you,
they will fall at the mighty hands of God, just
(08:10):
like the waves. They will not overwhelm you. They will
not bring you down. He will use the storms in
life to reveal He is Lord in whom we can trust.
Find comfort in knowing you serve the one True God
who controls the winds and the waves. Take a deep breath,
(08:36):
Allow his strength to fill your lungs. Exhale slowly and
feel his strength. Restore your body and renew your mind.
Know you are his possession, and nothing and no one
can harm you. You are safe and secure in his hands.
(08:59):
Think of a tumultuous time when you do not trust
God's sovereignty. Confess any doubts you have of God's power.
Confess any fears of the enemy you are holding on to.
Ask Him to help you. Focus on Him in the
eye of the storm. Breathe in and out slowly, allow
(09:24):
His forgiveness to wash over you. Exhale slowly, and release
your fears and doubts, knowing God is in control and
you are his. Think of a difficult time in life
when God delivered you. Thank him for the ways he
protected you and helped you. Thank him in advance for
(09:48):
the ways he will continue to help you, and for
the times he will deliver you in the future. Think
of someone who needs God's protection tonight. Pray the Lord
will keep them safe and secure in his hands as
they rest. Think of an area where you need God's
(10:09):
urgent help. Ask Him to move in this area of
your life in a mighty way. Ask Him to sustain
you through the night. Trust in his sovereignty, in his power.
Pray for those who are being persecuted because of their
faith in God. Pray he will protect them and give
(10:32):
them rest. Pray for those who are rising against God's
people Pray they will seek God and realize he is
the most High over all the earth, so that they
may turn to Him and praise his name. Pray for
you and your family to be secure in the Lord's hands.
(10:55):
Pray you will trust Him no matter what you are facing,
and rest in his peace. Take a deep breath, be
filled with his joy and peace. Exhale slowly, allowing his
joy to lighten your heart and his peace to relax
(11:15):
your body. As you lay down tonight, allow the presence
of God to comfort you and help you experience deep,
RESTful sleep.
