Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep Psalm by Prey dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm eighty six. Take a
deep breath through your nose as your belly expands. Lift
your fears and worries to the Lord. Exhale slowly and
(03:20):
relax as the Lord alleviates the stress and tension in
your body. Breathe in and out slowly. Straighten your back,
relax your neck and shoulders. Breathe in and out. Allow
the air to flow freely from your lungs throughout your body,
(03:43):
from your head to your toes, replenishing every cell, every muscle,
every joint. Clear your mind, and meditate on God's goodness
and faithfulness. Know He is always here to help you
throughout the day and comfort you throughout the night. Take
(04:05):
a few deep breaths to settle your heart and calm
your mind as you feel the power of His presence.
Close your eyes and get ready to immerse yourself in
God's word in times of distress. Tonight Palm tells us
to turn to God and put our trust in Him
(04:28):
so that we can find rest in His joy and
peace as we lay down to sleep. Psalm eighty six
from the King James version says, bow down thine, ear,
O Lord, hear me, for I am poor and needy.
Preserve my soul, for I am holy, O Thou, my God,
(04:49):
Save thy servant that trusteth in THEE. Be merciful unto me,
O Lord, for I cry unto THEE daily, rejoice the
soul of thy soul servant. For unto THEE, O Lord,
do I lift up my soul. For Thou Lord, art
good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto
(05:10):
all them that call upon THEE. Give ear, O Lord,
unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.
In the day of my trouble, I will call upon THEE,
for thou wilt answer me. Among the gods, there is
none like unto thee O Lord. Neither are there any
(05:31):
works like unto Thy works. All nations whom thou hast made,
shall come and worship before thee O Lord, and shall
glorify thy name. For thou art great and doest wondrous things.
Thou art God alone. Teach me thy way, O Lord,
and I will walk in thy truth, unite my heart
(05:53):
to fear thy name. I will praise thee O Lord,
my God with all my heart, and I will glorify
thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me.
And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell,
O God. The proud arisen against me, and the assemblies
(06:14):
of violent men have sought after my soul and have
not set thee before them. But Thou, O Lord, art
a god full of compassion and gracious, long suffering, and
plenteous in mercy and truth. Oh, turn unto me and
have mercy upon me. Give thy strength unto thy servant,
(06:35):
and save the son of thine handmaid Shew me a
token for good, that they which hate me may see
it and be ashamed, Because Thou Lord hast hopen me
and comforted me. The Bible reminds us we can place
our trusting God during difficult times because there is no
one like him. He is compassionate and gracious, sotin and strong,
(07:01):
and loving and faithful. Tonight, let's focus on how each
of his wonderful traits can comfort us and help us
find rest. Close your eyes and allow God's grace to
wash over you like a spring rain that refreshes the earth.
His grace renews your mind and spirit. Allow His compassion
(07:26):
for you to bring joy to your heart and lighten
your load. Tonight, take a few deep breaths. As your
heart rate slows down with each breath, feel your body
relax and your mind quiet down. Focus your thoughts on
God's sovereignty. Though he is in complete control of your world,
(07:49):
and only he can do the wondrous things He has
done in your life. Think of all his mighty deeds
you have witnessed. Rejoice in his power and strength. Breathe
in and out slowly. Rest in the Lord's strength. Rest
safely and securely in his hands. Take a deep breath
(08:14):
as your lungs fill with air. Imagine God's love filling
your chest. Exhale slowly and Feel his love flow through
your veins, warming your heart and body. Meditate on the
Lord's faithfulness. Think of the times he has helped you,
(08:35):
delivered you, and comforted you. Allow these moments to bring
you comfort and joy tonight. Rest in His love for you.
Find hope in his faithfulness. Acknowledge any unconfessed sin before
the Lord. Confess any fears and doubts that are keeping
(08:56):
you from surrendering to him. Ask for the Lord to
show you his mercy and grace. Take a deep breath,
Allow his forgiveness to refresh you. Rejuvenate you. Exhale slowly
and release any stress and tension in your body. Feel
(09:18):
your heart lightened and your mind calm as you release
your sin and shame to the Lord, who is forgiving
and good, who is abounding in love to all.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Who call on him.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Think of a time when God delivered you from your distress.
Thank Him for the ways he has helped you. Thank
him for the times he has comforted you. Praise his
name for the good things he has done in your life.
Think of someone who needs God to intervene on their
behalf and deliver them from their troubles. Pray they will
(09:56):
find comfort in his faithfulness and rest in his peace.
Pe Call out to the Lord, lift your requests to him.
Ask him to hear your prayer and to answer. You
know he is always faithful when you call upon him.
Pray for the Lord to teach you his ways. Pray
(10:18):
you will walk with him in his truth all the
days of your life. Pray for his provision in a
specific area of your life. Pray you will be satisfied
in his joy and peace. Pray for his protection tonight
as you sleep, Pray he will sustain you with his strength.
(10:40):
Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly, and release any tension
that is still lingering from today. As you relax, allow
God to comfort you and keep you in his perfect
peace as you rest throughout the night,
