eighty eight, verse fifteen.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Dear God, I pray tonight for strength. This life is
filled with blessings for which I am abundantly thankful. However,
this life also brings strife. My soul can feel the
sting of sin and shame. There are times when it

(00:51):
all feels too heavy for me. Lord. That is why
I take heart in knowing I do not have.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
To bear these burdens alone. Before I sleep, I seek
to cast my cares upon you, for I know you
care for me. You have not shunned me in my weariness,
nor forsaken me in my time of need. You set

(01:24):
your son to suffer so our separation would be buried.
I can confidently speak to you, knowing you will give
rest to the heavy laden. Give me rest tonight, Lord,

(01:44):
relieve me from my distress. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen,
thank you for praying with me. I'm Bishop TD Jakes

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on songs eighty eight. Breathe in
and out slowly. Relax your neck and shoulders. Rest your
feet flat on the floor or on your bed. Take

(03:13):
a few deep breaths inhale through your nose and exhale
through your mouth. With each breath. Feel your heart rate
slow down and your mind quiet down. Clear your mind
of any distractions. Focus on God as your savior and redeemer.

(03:36):
Meditate on his love and on his saving grace. Know
he saves you from death and destruction. Know he sees you,
and he loves you, and he will sustain you with
his strength. Breathe in slowly, feel his strength fill your lungs.

(03:58):
Breathe out slowly, and lift your stress and anxiety from
to day to the Lord. Open your heart and prepare
to receive God's word. Ask God to give you wisdom
and understanding, and to help you hear his still small voice.

(04:19):
Allow his truth to transform you, Allow his presence to
comfort you. Allow his voice to guide you to a safe,
quiet place where you can rest peacefully through the night.
When our strength is depleted and our sorrow threatens to
overtake us, the Bible reminds us we can turn to

(04:43):
God and express our deepest fears and worries to him,
knowing he is there every time we call upon him.
Psalm eighty eight from the King James's version says, O, Lord,
God of my salvation, I have cried day and night
before thee. Let my prayer come before thee. Incline thine

(05:06):
ear unto my cry, for my soul is full of troubles,
and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. I am
counted with them that go down into the pit. I
am as a man that hath no strength, free among
the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave,

(05:27):
whom thou rememberest no more, and they are cut off
from Thy hand. Thou hast laid me in the lowest
pit in darkness, in the deeps. Thy wrath lieth hard
upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Sellah,
thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me. Thou

(05:50):
hast made me an abomination. Unto them, I am shut up,
and I cannot come forth. Mine eye mourneth by reason
of affliction. Lord, I have called daily unto THEE, I
have stretched out my hands. Unto THEE. Wilt thou shew
wonders to the dead. Shall the dead arise and praise thee? Sillah?

(06:13):
Shall thy loving kindness be declared in the grave, or
thy faithfulness in destruction? Shall thy wonders be known in
the dark, and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness.
But unto THEE have I cried, O Lord? And in
the morning, shall my prayer prevent thee? Lord? Why casteth

(06:36):
thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me?
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth
up while I suffer thy terrors, I am distracted. Thy
fierce wrath goeth over me. Thy terrors have cut me off.
They came round about me daily like water. They compassed

(06:57):
me about together, Lover and friend, hast thou put far
from me and mine acquaintance into darkness. When we pray
to God, we may not always find relief from our
stress and anxiety or the solution to our problems right away.
But God's word makes it clear that God is always

(07:18):
with us, and he listens to us when we call
upon him. We don't have to be cheerful to come
to the Lord. We can bring our grief and depression,
our troubles and worries to Him and find rest in
His presence. Take a deep breath as your chest rises,

(07:40):
feel God pull you out of the lowest pit, out
of the darkest depths of despair. Exhale slowly and release
any stress and tension in your muscles. Release any anxious thoughts,
and surrender to the Lord. Take another deep breath. As

(08:02):
you inhale, imagine God lifting your burdens, alleviating your stress
so that you may find relief to rest tonight. Exhale
slowly and feel the presence of God rest upon you,
keeping you safe and warm through the night. Sometimes, when

(08:23):
life is hard and we are facing seemingly impossible circumstances,
we begin to doubt God's goodness and faithfulness. Confess any
fears and doubts you have, lift them to God and
ask him to restore your faith in him. Breathe in
his goodness and faithfulness. Breathe out your guilt and shame

(08:49):
Inhale and exhale. Slowly release any tension in your body.
Allow God's strength to sustain you through the night. Think
of the ways God has kept his promises in your life.
Thank Him for his faithfulness. Thank him for the times

(09:09):
he has helped you and delivered you. Thank Him for
comforting you tonight. Think of someone who needs to experience
God's healing. Pray he will place his hands on them
and restore their body, mind, and soul. Pray he will
help them rest safely in his hands tonight. Cry out

(09:34):
to the Lord. Tell him about your troubles and your struggles.
Cast your fears and worries on him. Know he cares
for you and loves you. Know he is always in
control and nothing happens without his knowledge. Pray for God's

(09:54):
healing in your home. Pray for him to heal you
and your family from any disease or disorder that is
causing you pain physically or emotionally. Pray for Him to
restore you tonight. Pray for God's provision in your life.
Lift your needs to God and trust him to help you.

(10:19):
Pray for God's protection as you sleep. Pray he will
sustain you through the night and renew your spirit as
you rest. Take a deep breath. Exhale slowly and release
any tension that is still lingering from today. Draw near

(10:39):
to God. Breathe in his strength, Allow it to fill
your lungs completely. Exhale slowly, feeling his strength spread throughout
your body, restoring you, rejuvenating you as you sleep.
