(00:52):
set and a blanket of shadows covers earth. I ask
that you would cover me with comfort, envelop me with
your mercy and steadfast love. Give me rest they can
only come from God above. As I sleep, Flood my

(01:18):
mind with thoughts of awe, gratitude, and thanksgiving. As my
body recovers from the day. Restore my heart and my
mind in Jesus' name, Amen, Thank you for praying with me.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm eighty nine. Retreat to
a quiet place where you can clear your mind and
open your heart to receive God's promises. Relax your body
by taking long, deep breaths to soften your muscles and joints.

(03:02):
With each breath, focus on the areas of your body
that are tense as you inhale. Contract a tense area
of your body. As you exhale, relax that area of
your body and release the tension. Close your eyes and

(03:23):
focus your thoughts on God's power and glory. In his power,
he helps you and sustains you, upholding you with his
right hand. In his glory, he shines his light and
favor upon you, keeping you warm and safe. As you rest.

(03:45):
Take a deep breath. Breathe in the presence of the Lord.
Exhale slowly and release any anxious thoughts. Let go of
any fears and worries. All allow His power to lift
your burdens and give you rest as you listen to
His word. When we lose hope in this world, the

(04:10):
Bible reminds us of God's loving kindness and of his
promise to preserve and protect us, to set us apart
for his glory to night. Find comfort in his powerful presence,
and place your trust in his promises. Psalm eighty nine
from the King James version says, I will sing of

(04:34):
the mercies of the Lord forever. With my mouth, I
will make known thy faithfulness to all generations. For I
have said, mercy shall be built up forever. Thy faithfulness,
shalt thou establish in the fairy heavens. I have made
a covenant with my chosen. I have sworn unto David,

(04:54):
my servant, Thy seed. Will I establish forever and build
up thy to all generations, Sayllah, And the heavens shall
praise thy wonders, O Lord, thy faithfulness also in the
congregation of the saints. For who in the heaven can
be compared unto the Lord, who among the sons of

(05:16):
the Mighty can be likened unto the Lord God is
greatly to be feared in the assembly of the Saints,
and to be had in reverence of all them that
are about him, O Lord, God of Hosts, who is
a strong lord like unto thee or to thy faithfulness.
Round about thee, Thou rulest the raging of the sea,

(05:38):
when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them. Thou hast
broken rahab in peaces as one that is slain. Thou
hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm. The heavens
are thine. The earth also is thine, as for the
world and the fullness thereof Thou hast bound at them

(06:01):
the north and the south. Thou hast created them. Tabor
and Hermann shall rejoice in thy name. Thou hast a
mighty arm. Strong is thy hand, and high is thy
right hand. Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne.
Mercy and truth shall go before thy face. Blessed is

(06:23):
the people that know the joyful sound. They shall walk,
O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. In thy
name shall they rejoice all the day, And in thy
righteousness shall they be exalted. For Thou art the glory
of their strength, and in thy favor our horn shall
be exalted. For the Lord is our defense, and the

(06:46):
Holy One of Israel is our King. Then thou spakest
in vision to thy Holy One, and saidest I have
laid help upon one that is mighty. I have exalted
one chosen out of the people. I have found David
my servant. With my holy oil. Have I anointed him

(07:06):
with whom my hand shall be established. Mine arm also
shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him,
nor the son of wickedness afflict him, And I will
beat down his foes before his face, and plague them
that hate him. But my faithfulness and my mercy shall
be with him, and in my name shall his horn

(07:29):
be exalted. I will set his hand also in the sea,
and his right hand in the rivers. He shall cry
unto me, Thou art my Father, my God, and the
rock of my salvation. Also I will make him my
first born, higher than the kings of the earth. My

(07:50):
mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my
covenant shall stand fast with him. His seeds Also will
I make to a door forever and his throne as
the days of heaven. If his children forsake my law
and walk not in my judgments, if they break my
statutes and keep not my commandments, then I will visit

(08:14):
their transgressions with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless,
my loving kindness, will I not utterly take from him,
nor suffer my faithfulness to fail my covenant. Will I
not break nor alter the thing that is gone out
of my lips? Once I have sworn by my holiness

(08:36):
that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall
endure forever, and his throne is the sun before me.
It shall be established forever as the moon, and as
a faithful witness in heaven Silah. But thou hast cast
off and abhorred. Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

(08:58):
Thou hast made void the cove and of thy servant.
Thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges. Thou hast brought
his strong holds to ruin all that pass by the
way spoil him. He is a reproach to his neighbors.
Thou hast set upon the right hand of his adversaries.

(09:21):
Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice. Thou hast
also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not
made him to stand in the battle, Thou hast made
his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to
the ground. The days of his youth hast thou shortened,
Thou hast covered him with shame. Selah, how long, Lord,

(09:46):
wilt thou hide thyself? Forever? Shall thy wrath burn like fire?
Remember how short my time is? Wherefore hast thou made
all men in vain? What man is he that liveth
and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul
from the hand of the grave? Silah, Lord, where are

(10:09):
thy former loving kindnesses which thou swearest unto David in
thy truth? Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants, How
I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all
the mighty people. Where with thine enemies have reproached, O Lord,
wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of Thine anointed. Blessed

(10:32):
be the Lord for evermore? Amen and Amen. The Psalmist
reminds us of God's power, sovereignty, and faithfulness. He reminds
us we can completely put our trust in Him because
he is our rock and savior, our father and redeemer.

(10:54):
We can stand firmly in His righteousness and love. Know
His arm will strengthen you through the day, and his
hand will sustain you through the night. Breathe in and
out slowly. Close your eyes and imagine walking on a
beach in the cool of the night. The waves roar

(11:17):
as the wind blows them to and fro. Take a
deep breath. See the waves rise up as the wind
becomes stronger. Exhale slowly and release any stress and anxiety.
Watch God's hands still the wind and the waves, calming

(11:38):
your storm, calming your chaos. Find rest in his peaceful presence.
Take a deep breath. Bask in the presence of the Lord.
Exhale slowly and surrender completely to him. Seek his face

(11:58):
and walk in the light of his glory. Allow his
brilliance to lighten your heart and brighten your spirit to
keep you warm throughout the night. Confess your sins to
the Lord and repent. Turn to him and ask for
his forgiveness. Lift any doubts you have of his faithfulness

(12:20):
and goodness. Ask him to teach you his ways and
to show you how He has been faithful in your life.
Take a deep breath. Allow his grace to cover your
sin and shame. Exhale slowly and release any stress and
tension that is still lingering from today. Rejoice in His

(12:45):
name and in his righteousness. Praise Him for his faithfulness.
Thank him for his salvation that has redeemed you and
restored you. Thank Him for the blessings and favor he
has poured upon you. Think of someone who needs to
be reminded of God's promises to night, Pray God will

(13:07):
remind them of his faithfulness and comfort them with his love.
Submit to God and lift your requests to him. Tell
him what you need and what you desire. Ask for
his protection and provision. Know God always keeps his promises,

(13:28):
and he promises to rescue you and restore you. Pray
God will help you follow him and keep his commands.
Pray you will walk and rest in the light of
His presence. Pray God will remind you of his promises
during difficult times. Put your trust in Him and rest

strength you need for tomorrow. Pray you will help you

in the strength and in the glory of God. He

(14:11):
will sustain you and guide you in the darkness with
his love and light. As you lay down to sleep,

to refresh your mind, body, and soul.
