Psalm ninety seven, Verse one. Dear Lord, as I lay

down to sleep tonight, I thank you for the light
you have sown for me Throughout this day. Your guiding
hand has kept me on the path of righteousness, leading
me the joy and peace within my heart. As I

rest tonight, I pray that you will continue to shine
your light upon me and guide me toward an upright
and righteous life. I rejoice in your holy name and
give thanks for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me.

We will be meditating on Psalm ninety seven before we
listen to God's word. Take a deep, cleansing breath. Hold
your breath for a few seconds. Exhale slowly and clear

your mind of any distractions. Meditate on the holiness and
power of God. Reflect on his righteousness and justice that
firmly establishes his throne. Think about his power that shakes
the earth and consumes his enemies. Know his power delivers

you from your troubles and sustains you through the night.
Breathe in his power and strength. Breathe out your fears
and worries. Inhale and lift your weaknesses to Him. Exhale
and feel His strength flow throughout your body, rejuvenating you

and restoring you. Close your eyes and open your heart
to receive God's word. Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly
and relief. Lease the tension in your muscles. Relax your
neck and shoulders with each breath you take. Focus on

softening every area of the body, from your head to
your fingers and toes. As your body relaxes, your heart
will settle, alleviating the stress in your body and mind.
Focus on hearing the voice of truth as you listen

to this wonderful song of praise. Take delight in his
glory and lift your spirit to rejoice in his name.
Feel his joy, warm your heart, and refresh your soul.
Psalm ninety seven from the King James's version says, the
Lord reigneth, Let the earth rejoice, Let the multitude of

isles be glad. Thereof clouds and darkness are round about him.
Righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. A
fire goeth before him and burneth up his enemies round about.
His lightnings enlightened the world. The earth saw and trembled,

the hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord.
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth,
the heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see
his glory. Confounded, be all that serve graven images, that
boast themselves of idols, worship him. All ye gods Zion

heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoiced
because of thy judgments, O Lord, For thou Lord art
high above all the earth. Thou art exalted, far above
all gods. Ye that love the Lord, hate evil. He
preserveth the souls of his saints. He delivereth them out

of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for
the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice
in the Lord, ye righteous, and give thanks at the
remembrance of His holiness, the Bible tells us. Nature reveals
the glory and the power of its creator. The lightning

flashes his brilliance and strength as it lights up the
world and causes the earth to tremble. The mountains display
his majesty and power as they stand firm and strong
over the earth, but melt away in his presence. The
fire demonstrates his sovereignty as it consumes his enemies by

day and guides his people by night. Know the same
power that sends bolts of lightning across the sky, that
forms and moves mountains and the sets the fire ablaze
is the same power protecting you and preserving you. Tonight,

(07:08):
Close your eyes and Bask in the glory of the Lord.
Lift your spirit to rejoice in His holy name and
in his righteousness. Take a deep breath. Feel his glory
fill your chest and lungs. Exhale slowly and feel his

(07:29):
glory spread throughout your body, warming your heart and soul,
renewing your mind and spirit. Think of someone in your
life you prioritize over God. It could be a person
like your spouse or a child. It could be a
job or a hobby. Confess any idols you have worshiped

(07:52):
in your life. Ask for his forgiveness, Ask for him
to help you. Prioritize spending time with Him above all else.
Breathe in his mercy and love. Breathe out your guilt
and shame. Know his righteousness covers your sin. Know his

(08:13):
hands deliver you from the evil one. Rejoice in the Lord.
Thank him for revealing his glory to you and shining
his light upon you in the darkness of the night.
Thank Him for the times he has protected you. Thank
him for the times he has delivered you. Think of

(08:35):
a person who needs deliverance from a troubling situation or
from the road of temptation. Pray God will reveal his
glory and shine his light upon the darkness that surrounds them.
Pray he will protect them to night and deliver them tomorrow.

(08:56):
Ask God for his help in navigating our fallen world.
Lift the troubles and struggles you are facing tonight. Know
He will protect you and sustain you as one of
His beloved righteous. Pray for God to help you discern
good from evil. Pray his light will guide your steps

(09:18):
in the darkness of our world. Pray for God to
lead you away from temptation and deliver you from the
wickedness in our world. Pray you will recognize the idols
in your life and turn back to Him. Pray for
God's glory to be revealed in your life. Pray his

(09:39):
favor will shine upon you, keeping you warm and safe
throughout the night. Take a deep breath. Exhale slowly and
release any tension that is still lingering in your body.
Take another deep breath. Exhales slowly and surrender any anxious

thoughts that are still troubling your mind. As your body
relaxes and your mind calms, allow the glorious presence of
God to fill you with his joy and peace and
help you experience deep RESTful sleep tonight
