in his salvation. Psalm ninety eight from the King James
version says, Oh, sing unto the Lord, a new song.
For he hath done marvelous things his right hand and
his holy arm. Hath God him the victory the Lord.
Hath made known his salvation, his righteousness. Hath he openly

(05:07):
shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered
his mercy and his truth toward the House of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation
of our God. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord,
all the earth, make a loud noise and rejoice and

(05:29):
sing praise, sing unto the Lord with the harp, with
the harp and the voice of a psalm, with trumpets
and the sound of a cornet, make a joyful noise
before the Lord the King. Let the sea roar, and
the fullness thereof the world, and they that dwell therein.

(05:51):
Let the floods clap their hands. Let the hills be
joyful together before the Lord. For he cometh to judge
the earth with righteousness. Shall he judge the world and
the people with equity. When we are overwhelmed by darkness
in our world, we can sing this song of joy

(06:14):
and victory to calm our minds and soothe our soul.
Know His love and faithfulness will sustain you until the
very end. Know you can rest safely in the Lord's
right hand, where your salvation is secure. Close your eyes
and picture the most wonderful celebration taking place in a

(06:37):
city on a hill. There are people from every tribe,
every nation, singing songs of worship and praise with one
beautiful voice. The mountains shake, and the sea's roar at
the Lord's arrival. In this moment, there is no one
crying out in pain and suffering. There is just the

(07:01):
tubulent song of the fulfillment of hope and the manifestation
of joy being played. Take delight in the music, feel
the joy flow through your veins, warming your heart, lifting
your spirit. Open your eyes and take a deep breath.

(07:23):
Know this celebration is your future. Exhale slowly and allow
the hope of eternity to comfort you as you rest.
Think of a time when you cast unnecessary judgment on someone.
Confess any arrogance in your heart. Ask for God's forgiveness.

(07:46):
Ask for him to remind you that He is the
righteous judge who will bring the type of mercy and
justice to our world. Take a deep breath, allow his
righteousness to vindicate you. Exhale slowly and release any guilt
and shame you are holding on to Know He is

(08:09):
always faithful to forgive our sin. Think of all the
marvelous things God has done in your life. Thank Him
for the blessings he has given you in the past.
Thank Him for his love and faithfulness that sustain you
in your present. Thank Him for his salvation that secures

(08:31):
your future. Think of a person who needs to experience
God's love. Pray he will open their heart to him
and reveal the joy of his salvation. Pray his love
will sustain them through the night. Talk to God about
your struggles. Ask for his help to fight the battles

(08:55):
you face every day. Put your trust in the Lord
and know he has already won the war. Pray for
those who have not accepted the salvation of the Lord.
Pray he will help you share the story of his
salvation with others, and he will soften their hearts toward him.

(09:18):
Pray for him to remind you of his promises to
return and to rescue you from the darkness of this world.
Pray he will keep you in his perfect peace. As
you sleep tonight, Breathe in and out slowly, allow the
sweet song of the Lord's salvation to play in your

(09:39):
mind and to fill your heart with hope and joy.

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
