Speaker 2 (02:43):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's Sleep Psalm by Pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm ninety nine this evening.
Begin by relaxing your body. Sit in a comfortable chair
in a quiet place. Be sure to sit straight up,
(03:03):
using good posture, with your back straight and your shoulders back.
Rest your feet flat on the floor. Rest your hands
gently on your lap. Close your eyes, and take a
deep breath. Exhale slowly and release the stress and tension
(03:25):
in your muscles. Quiet your mind by focusing on God.
Focus on his goodness, on his righteousness. Remember God is
the righteous judge that loves Jesus and mercy and judges fairly.
Trust he will always do what is best for you.
(03:48):
Take a deep breath. Ask God to lift your burdens
from today. Exhale slowly, and surrender your anxious thoughts to
the Lord. With a calm body and mind, you are
ready to receive God's word. Listen for his still small
(04:09):
voice to speak to your heart. Allow his song to
fill your heart with joy and peace as you prepare
for rest to night. Let's find comfort in knowing we
could place our trust in the Lord because he is
a perfectly just and holy God. Psalm ninety nine from
(04:33):
the King James version says, the Lord reigneth. Let the
people tremble. He sitteth between the cherubims. Let the earth
be moved. The Lord is great in Zion, and he
is high above all the people. Let them praise Thy
great and terrible name, for it is holy the King's strength.
(04:57):
Also loveth judgment, that thou dost establish equity. Thou executest
judgment and righteousness. In Jacob, Exalt ye the Lord our God,
and worship at his footstool, for he is holy. Moses
and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that
(05:18):
call his name. They called upon the Lord, and he
answered them. He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar.
They kept his testimonies and the ordinance that he gave them.
Thou answeredest them, O, Lord, our God, Thou wast a
god that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
(05:44):
Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill.
For the Lord, our God, is holy. Meditate on the
holiness of the Lord. His goodness resounds throughout the heavens
and the earth. Hear the angels singing, Holy, Holy, Holy.
(06:05):
Feel the nations tremble and the earth shake at the
sound of his name. Rejoice in his great and awesome name.
Feel the joy of his salvation. Renew your spirit and
comfort your soul. Take a deep breath, lift up praises
to the Lord. Exhale slowly and submit to the Lord,
(06:29):
for he is holy. Take delight in his commands. Follow
him unto his path of life and righteousness that will
lead you to a quiet place where you can rest
securely in him. Close your eyes and envision a majestic
mountain towering over all the earth, filled with the holiness
(06:52):
and splendor of the Lord. Sit at the foot of
his holy mountain and come into the presence of the Lord.
Take a deep breath and lift your spirit to exalt
the almighty King who rules over the nations with his
power and might. Breathe out slowly and be comforted by
(07:15):
his powerful presence. Tonight, think of a time when you
misused the Lord's name. Confess the times when your words
and actions did not reflect his holiness. Ask him to
help you say and do what is right in his eyes.
Take a deep breath, allow his forgiveness to wash over you.
(07:39):
Find comfort in his mercy. Breathe out slowly. Know he
is a forgiving God that uses your weaknesses and failures
to transform you into the likeness of His son. Rejoice
in the holiness of the Lord. Praise him for his
justice and maas. Thank him for the times he has
(08:03):
forgiven you and given you grace. Thank him for the
prayers he has answered in your life. Think of a
person who needs to trust God with a difficult situation
in their life. Pray they will turn to Him and
ask for his help. Pray they will put their trust
(08:23):
in His sovereignty. Like so many great people before us,
we call upon the Lord's name, and he will answer us. Tonight,
call on the Lord and lift your requests and wait
expectantly to hear from him. Pray God will help you
(08:43):
with an unfair situation. Pray he will intervene and bring
his justice and mercy to the situation. Pray God will
help you submit to Him so that He can make
your paths straight. Pray you will lead you to a safe,
secure place where you can rest peacefully tonight. Breathe in
(09:07):
his holiness, Breathe out his praise. Take a deep, cleansing breath,
be filled with the spirit of God. Exhale slowly and
allow him to rejuvenate your body, refresh your soul, and
renew your mind. With your next breath, feel his love
(09:32):
and peace flow throughout you. Feel his presence flow outward,
filling your room, keeping you warm and safe. Close your
eyes and rest in his tranquility.
