Speaker 1 (00:08):
Hi, everyone, it's Amanda Rieger Green. Welcome to Soul Sessions.
As we begin to close out twenty twenty four, this
is my favorite time of the year to reflect and interestingly,
if you've listened to the podcast, we've got Mars retrograde
(00:29):
and Mercury is stationing direct on December fifteenth, So from
the fifteenth through the end of the month and even
overflowing into early January, it is such a lucrative time
to revise, reflect, review, and in numerology, we have been
(00:51):
in an eight universal year, as many of you know,
and the eight brought us a lot of beauty, a
lot of challenge, a lot of fear and pain, a
lot of motivation and demotivation, along with a buffet of
other experiences. But one thing I know about the energy
(01:14):
of the eight, and it reflects through all of my
engagements with this podcast audience, my clients, my friends, my family,
is the eight really forced a lot of us to
confront whatever in our life has felt out of balance.
(01:35):
Doesn't mean we liked it or necessarily really succeeded at it,
but it's almost like the eight forces us to confront
whatever is lurking beneath or that we have pushed down
beneath the surface or not been ready to face or
maybe not even been equipped to face prior to this.
(02:00):
As we close out the year, that you are finding
some strength and resolve and resiliency throughout your experience in
your journey this year, because as we shift into twenty
twenty five and a nine year in numerology, it is
a time where we get to rise up and let
(02:22):
go of anything that is limiting our health, happiness, well being, success, abundance, joy,
fill in the blank. It is a year of growing
stronger and with greater influence within ourselves and our personal
(02:43):
spiritual experiences. But the eight has prepared us in a
multitude of ways. So what I want to do is
give you some opportunity to reflect on the year. So
I'm going to offer some cornerstones of what the eight
may or may not have touched within you or taught you,
and ways to reflect on that so you can use
(03:05):
your experience and your wisdom as we shift into January.
I am actually looking at my twenty twenty four Numerology
guide book and I'm looking at the eight things that
I wrote about the eight, and I'm looking back and
I'm like yep, yep, did that? Did that happened? Oh?
(03:25):
My goodness, Ugh, didn't like that so much, but yes,
that happened. So I hope that you all feel some
resonance and can draw your own clarity and wisdom from
the cornerstones and the energies that I share with you,
and I'll offer you some reflections. So one of the
first energies that comes through with the eight is around
(03:47):
success and achievement. It's around success, achievement and motivation. But
the key in that energy for it to be fulfilled
in its highest light is when it comes from a
space of inspiration. So a good place to reflect is
what successes and achievements did I experience this year? Where
(04:11):
was I motivated? And what did inspiration look like to
me or for me? And then, because we are dealing
with the eight, the eight has a yin yang quality
to it where it is about polarity, it's about learning
through the polarity. Meaning if the energy is about success
(04:34):
and achievement and inspiration, it means that we may fail,
we may not achieve, we may not feel motivated, we
may feel a lack of inspiration. And usually it's the
lack thereof that Actually, it's like it paradoxically inspires the
inspiration or the success or the motivation or the initiative
(04:59):
to come forward. So for me, when I reflect on this,
I think of where wasn't I motivated? What demotivated me?
Where was I uninspired in my life, whether it be professionally,
in relationships with my physical body and my health, in
my family, in my spirituality for goodness sakes, Where did
(05:23):
I feel lethargic? Where did I feel demotivated? Where did
I feel unsuccessful or underachieving, underperforming? And then that usually
helps me to recognize when the inspiration came in because
what it did, and I can think back this year
is usually when I felt uninspired or unmotivated, it almost
(05:48):
forced me. And I'm using these strong words because it
really is. The energy of the eight is a bit
driven and forceful at times, and it's almost like it's like,
all right, you're going to do this from a place
where you're demotivated and you're just being busy for the
sake of being busy. Then we're going to kind of
(06:08):
knock you on your behind a little bit and get
you to reorient redirect yourself. So you're coming from pure
positive potential or inspiration. And that's what I want you
to ask yourself is when didn't I feel motivated or inspired?
And how did I shift my attitude or my perspective
(06:31):
in order to move forward with inspiration? What does inspiration
look like for me today? So that's number one. The
second cornerstone of the energy of the eight is around
money and finances, something we all love to talk about
and shows up in our life no matter what, because
we live in this economic currency where money drives us
(06:53):
in a multitude of ways, and it, however fortunate or unfortunate.
That is the inner of the eight. Out of all
the single digits, is the number and frequency that connects
most with the material world and finances. So financial prosperity
and abundance are what the eight strives for. But if
(07:16):
the eight teaches through polarity, then usually it is lack consciousness, poverty,
feeling bankrupt, being bankrupt, losing money, and all of it
is connected with our self worth. Because with the energy
of the eight and the polarity or paradoxical energy that
(07:37):
it creates is it's about creating this internal wealth, internal richness.
So what the eight does, It's like it rings us
out and says, do you really value yourself? Do you
really feel worthy? And that will somehow be reflected in
your external experience. And this isn't all about dollar and
(08:00):
cents and money and amounts of money in the bank.
One of the stories I want to share with you,
and I'm not sure if I've shared this before, but
it was an AHA, light bulb moment for me. I
remember when I left the corporate world and I left healthcare.
This was twenty sixteen. And when I left, my intention was,
and I'm going to tell you my intention, it was
(08:21):
so financial. My brain thought in dollars and cents and
success related to dollars and cents. And when I left healthcare,
my intention was I will work less and earn more.
And I meant I meant that literally, I'll work less
hours and I'll earn more money. Like that's really that's
the way my mind was thinking. It was like, I
(08:43):
want to work less and have freedom and flexibility and
earn more money. Well you all can imagine, you know,
I left health care to become a psychic, So do
that math Like that was a big leap of faith,
and I had prepared for it. I was ready for it.
It was a calling, but it was I mean, I
had to really build and evolve a business, but I
also had to build a lot of trust and build
(09:06):
up my confidence and my self worth and my practice
and shining my light and being who I was versus
living in the past. But anyway, flash forward and it
was the fall. So I left healthcare officially June first
of twenty sixteen, and I remember it was maybe October.
Was I earning more money than I had been in healthcare?
(09:28):
Heck no, nowhere near it. I was teaching yoga, I
was doing workshops, I was doing readings, but I wasn't
earning anything like I had been earning in corporate healthcare.
So you know, you can imagine. But I remember it
was this one afternoon and it was two o'clock and
my husband had just gotten off worth work, and I
(09:49):
had a pretty productive day. I had, you know, gotten
a newsletter out and reached out and worked on my
Facebook page or my website and maybe had a client.
I mean, it was a productive, lucrative day. And it
was two pm. And he said, hey, you want to
take the dogs out up the way to the river
and play with them this afternoon? And I was like, yes,
(10:10):
And we went out and it's two o'clock on a
Tuesday and we're playing with the dogs. And I had
had a productive day and I remember standing on the
bank of that river and smiling at those two labs,
you know, coming out of the water retrieving, and my
husband happy, and it was just a regular week day
and I stood there and I go, oh, my gosh,
(10:32):
I'm working less and earning more and more. Wasn't about money.
It was more time, more flexibility, more freedom, more happiness.
And that was a game changer in terms of Oh.
I set that intention from a very linear, three dimensional space,
but in a very short amount of time it materialized,
(10:56):
but not necessarily in my bank account, in my lifestyle,
and in my heart. And that has been something I
brought with me. And guess what the money has followed.
Not always I have all my financial fear and struggles
and strife and all the things like we do. But
that is a cornerstone of the eight is looking at
(11:18):
your money and reflecting where have I been financially challenged?
And where have I been financially abundant this year? Where
have I felt rich and expansive, and where have I
felt a sense of lack and limited energy, limitedness, so
(11:39):
to speak. So really look into your finances and also
reflect on your internal bank account, your sense of self worth.
One of the cornerstones of the eight is this energy
of resolve, and I know for me, I have developed
a strong resolve in terms of moving from any kind
(12:01):
of lack or small consciousness that is focused in three
D reality to jumping in a quantum way into an expanded, infinite,
unlimited energy field as resiliently and quickly as I can,
because I know that's where the gold is, that's where
the rich is. And I'm not talking about the gold
(12:21):
in the bank account. I'm talking about the sparkle and
the gold in life. And when I am in that
state of consciousness, not only do I gift it to
other people around me and the frequency around me, it
comes internally and then it materializes in a multitude of ways.
So really reflect on money, prosperity and your wealth and
(12:43):
sense of self worth and where it has been lacking
and where it's been abundant, and see what conclusions or
cosmic dots you can pull, because it'll be very helpful
as you move into twenty twenty five. A third cornerstone
(13:04):
is leadership. Authority and leadership lead to personal and spiritual sovereignty.
Sovereignty is a massive theme energetically, especially as we have
Pluto transiting into Aquarius for the next years. It is
about our inner sovereignty, our inner sense of authority or agency.
(13:30):
So thinking about how you have either been the leader
of your own life or you feel like you've been
led you have been following blindly. Were there areas this
year where you felt like you were doing the same
thing over and over because everybody else was doing it,
or the masses we're doing it, or it was socially acceptable,
(13:51):
and where you had some wake up calls where it
was like, wait a minute, that's not my truth, that's
not my leadership. I am being led by others and
it actually doesn't align with my beliefs. So the energy
of the Eight truly encourage us us to reclaim our
(14:12):
personal power and empowerment, and not through tyranny or dictatorship
or authoritarian energy, but through this light, this fifth dimensional sovereignty.
Knowing that we have divine light, unique talents within us,
and how do we express those and how do we
(14:33):
take responsibility for our life through our attitudes, actions, and beliefs.
So ask yourself, where have you had those aha moments
this year? And where have you felt suppressed, oppressed or disimpowered.
That's my favorite one is where have I felt disempowered?
(14:53):
And how have I created empowerment through that? Again, that
paradoxical energy or polari energy that helps us to rise
up with a greater sense of autonomy, agency, and sovereignty.
What does that look like for you? A fourth cornerstone
is balance and harmony. And it's so funny when I
(15:16):
think about the energy of the eight, I don't go, oh,
it's about balance and harmony, but it actually really is
because if you turn the eight on its side, we
know that it's the Infinity symbol and it is in
perpetual motion. But if you draw the Infinity symbol, you
trace it with your fingers, it is creating this balance
(15:38):
ebb and flow. And the analogy I always give for
the energy of the eight is like being on a
roller coaster. Once you get on and they lower the
lever and hit go, you can't get on down the
road on the ride and say no, no, sorry, sir,
I want to get off the roller coaster. It's like
once you're on, You're on, and you learn to surf,
(16:00):
learn to ride the highs and ride the lows, and
find some sort of equilibrium. I think that is the
gift of the balance and harmony of the Eight. It's
about equilibrium, It's about resolve something deeper, this deep sense
of commitment to something greater, something truer, something more natural
(16:25):
and organic within us. So ask yourself, where did you
come back to yourself this year? And as I say that,
that's been a huge story for me this year. I
have been recognizing, recognizing, remembering who I was when I
(16:47):
came onto this planet and when I was little, the
things that I love to do, where my creativity sword
And how have I been able to reclaim those attributes
and bring them in to mine now my day? And
that has been like illuminating and awakening and joyful. So
(17:09):
ask yourself, where have you experienced imbalance? Where have you
felt out of whack? And it could be professionally, or
it could be with a health challenge, or your marriage,
a relationship, or with your children, or it could be spiritually.
I mean, I've had a lot of people recently reach
out and say, gosh, I've really struggled with God or
(17:33):
feeling like I am a victim or why is God
doing this to me? So it could be deeply spiritual
for you, And those are the things that it's like, Gosh,
I love it when people tell the truth. I love
it when they say I'm angry at God. Not that
I love them being angry at God or I want
them in that kind of frustration or pain, But I
(17:55):
love it when people are honest because it's like, just
the awareness of the fear, the pain, or whatever imbalance
is going on is what starts to create a recalibration.
So with the eight, there is this opportunity to really
trust in and be in the flow of life. So
(18:16):
think back, when have you been in the flow of life?
When are you in the flow of life? Versus when
are you not in the flow of life? Like when
are you the human doing versus the human being? That's
probably the best question to get your juices flowing in
that area. A fifth cornerstone of the energy of the
(18:40):
eight is manifestation, conscious cocreation, and strengthening your point of attraction.
So I've talked about this a little bit, but I'm
going to drill down the eight energy because of its
paradox energy, it's whatever is going on internally will be
represented externally. So it has been a year where we've
(19:03):
been able to look at our pains and our challenges.
But it's almost like the eight has forced us or
encouraged us to confront what's been out of whack and
what we don't want to manifest, because if we are
always manifesting, either consciously or unconsciously, the external world, meaning
(19:27):
our relationships, our financial situation, the community we live in,
our families of origin, even and the dynamics with them.
Not that we manifested that family necessarily. Maybe we did,
then we can get into that another day. But the
dynamics we have with our families, our work, our health,
(19:48):
all of those things. It's not saying, oh my gosh,
I have such a terrible life, or I don't have
enough money, or I don't have the love of my life,
I can't find love. It's not about being of victim
to it. We get to feel all our stuff, right,
I am not bypassing that, and I can raise my
hand and I have been there. But it's about saying, okay, well,
(20:10):
what are you gonna do about it? What are you
gonna heal? How are you gonna love differently? How are
you gonna love yourself more? How are you gonna value
yourself more? How are you gonna create more internal harmony
to create it externally in your relationships? How are you
gonna create more optimism and joy and creativity and then
reflect that back in the job you do professionally? Everything
(20:34):
this year has been strengthening our point of attraction and
whatever we are bringing into our life is this reflection
of what we are getting to heal or what we
are calling in on a higher plane. And one of
the things that I really love is as we move
into higher dimensional energy, so more heart centered energy, the
(20:56):
more we sustain those frequents, sees, the more people and
experiences we attract into our life that are filled with
ease and joy, functionality, delight, reciprocity, creativity, prosperity, fill in happiness,
fill in your blank. But oftentimes as we shift into
(21:21):
higher frequencies, it feels like we can be confronted more
with old, outdated, heavier stuff, old relationships, old dramas, old
patterning that maybe we haven't quite moved through or learned
the lesson around or healed the karma around and that's
(21:41):
going to get me to number six is karma. But
think about your point of attraction and what you've manifested
this year and get really honest about it. Get honest
about whoe I have this brand new friendship and I
am so grateful for this person, Or I had this
long term health care going on and I feel amazing
(22:03):
right now. Wow, I did that. I put the effort in,
I took responsibility for it, and I was strengthening my
point of attraction to attract the right people, places, and
experience to support that healing or that growth. Wow, I
did that. And then also looking at the dysfunction or
the disease or the toxicity that showed up in your
(22:24):
life through people and jobs and experiences, and say, okay, like,
what is my part in that? Did I not set
a boundary? Have I lingered too long here? Have I
compromised or put up with things? Really take stock because
the more you clarify your point of attraction, the more
(22:44):
solid next year will feel. And next year is anything
but solid. So if there is one energy in the
energy of the eight that I would encourage you to
focus on, it's probably this one is what have I manifested?
This year, both light and beautifull and what has challenged
the living heck out of me this year? What has
(23:06):
brought me down to my knees this year? And get
honest about it all and then get empowered, get your
sovereignty on and strengthen that point of attraction. Okay, guess
what's next. Karma. A big energy of the eight is karma.
(23:28):
And it's because this balance of power with the energy
of the infinity symbol. It's like what goes around comes
around kind of energy. And a lot of times when
we are in an eight universal year or you're in
an eight personal year, things come back up for review, lessons,
experiences in order to clear or heal some karma. So
(23:53):
I know, for me, probably the best example I can
give of this is if I end up in a
relationship and whether it's a friendship or a business partnership,
and it goes sideways for some reason, and I feel
like I've done my best, I've communicated well, and it
just is disjointed for one reason or another. And I'm
(24:15):
not saying I'm perfect and lily white in all of it,
but I've done my best. I've tried to communicate, I've
given the other person a chance to and it just
keeps going sideways. That is such a simple example of Shoot,
maybe there was some karma for me to heal here.
Maybe it was because I needed to learn more patience,
(24:37):
or to communicate more clearly, or set better expectations or
time frames, or keep a better schedule, be more organized.
There's a multitude of things, but a lot of times
karmic relationships can be very intense and disastrous, like they
can be super passionate and wild and high highs and
(24:58):
low lows. Those are the more obvious once where it
is like an old toxic relationship where it's like when
we're on, we're on, and when we're off, we ought
to be both put in jail, like it's that, you know.
It's those kinds of extremes. Those are the more obvious
karmic relationships. And if you are experiencing something like that
(25:18):
right now, whether it be romantically, familial, professional, it is
a really good time to say, what am I healing
in my DNA in my cells? And it may not
even be something that you have done or touched in
this lifetime. It may be generations back, it may not
(25:39):
even be your karma and I find and I have
this conversation often with people, is whoe that doesn't feel
like my stuff. It feels like I'm taking one for
the collective. This is something, this fear that is coming
up in me. It doesn't feel like mine anymore. It
(25:59):
feels like something in our human genome. It's a fear
that is in the human genome that is not even
my stuff. But I am here to add love to
it and light to it and heal it. So karma
is so layered, and the energy of the eight will
bring up karma, whether it is personal karma and it
(26:21):
is from this lifetime or maybe pat other lifetimes, or
it is something in the collective karma, the collective consciousness.
And we are in this accelerated phase where I feel
like we are in a very short period of massive
evolution and acceleration. So this stuff is feeling more intense,
(26:43):
and I feel like we will feel it into next year.
So it's a really good time to reflect on what
was painful and what did I learn? How did I
bust up and change up patterns, How did I let go?
How did I heal? How did I remove myself from
this situation with love? Did I have to burn bridges
or did I do it with love, peace and tolerance.
(27:06):
And there's no right or wrong, good or bad. It's
just taking an assessment and looking back and thinking about
what felt like karma to you again that you either
created in this lifetime or something that may be much
deeper and ancestral or even in the lineage of humanity.
(27:27):
And I know that's really deep stuff, and I hope
it resonates and that you can get some reflections out
of that. Next is risk and Reward. And I've thought
about this one and I kind of laughed about it
because it has not played out the way that I
thought it would. Surprise surprise, But one of the big
energies of the eight is taking risk, leaps of faith,
(27:50):
putting yourself out there dynamically, and then reaping the rewards.
And here is my takeaway from Risk and Reward. In
twenty twenty four, I have put myself out there in
a multitude of ways. And guess what the linear version
of Amanda would think, Oh, I'm going to get more clients,
(28:11):
or oh this is going to be successful professionally, or
oh I'm going to be proud of myself. Maybe like
I'm just kind of telling on myself how my ego
and my brain works a little bit. And the funny
thing is where I took risk this year. The rewards
were that my family showed up for me and that
(28:32):
was a big one. Like I took some risk this year.
And guess who was there always cheering me on or
there for me to pick me up. My family, namely
my sisters, like they were there. And my really good friends.
I have a handful, like I can count on one
hand of very close friends in my life and they
(28:56):
were just their rain or shine and I recip I've
been risk to reciprocate that well for them too. It's maturity.
But my friends and family have been there, Like That's
been a huge reward this year. And the other reward
again really intangible stuff. Right, It's like it's like it's
(29:18):
deeper than that. And that's what I love about the eight.
The eight is tricky, you know, it's like we get
what we need, not what we want necessarily. But the
other thing in the rewards sector that I feel like
I've gleaned this year is recognizing what I don't enjoy
(29:40):
or feel delighted by, and when I feel enjoyment and
joy and delight. Oh my gosh. I can work and
shine and shake and support and love on and do
all the things. But when I am uninspired or not
enjoying something, and I feel like I'm pushing and working,
the reward this year has been recognition of what I
(30:04):
enjoy versus what I don't enjoy. And the more that
I can attune to joy in my day to day,
the more productive and empowered I feel. So just assess
your risk and reward. Look at where you took risk,
but really get honest about where your rewards are. And
maybe your rewards were financial, Yes, go you. You know
(30:27):
whatever your rewards are, write them down. But I feel
like for so many of you that I've connected with,
the rewards have been better knowing yourself and better knowing
who loves you, who your people are, where your support
system is, your ride or dies, because that's been reflected
(30:47):
to me from a lot of people. Last, but not least,
the eight is a very spiritual number. And while it
can be a hard, driving, confrontational, pushing energy like very masculine,
it is also this energy that gives us this opportunity
(31:08):
to break the glass ceiling of ourselves, of our abilities
of our talents and it helps us to rise higher
in our consciousness. So it's like it had, It drives hard,
it pushes us almost into a corner, and it basically says,
(31:29):
are you going to shrink down? You know? And you
get to shrink down for a little bit because we're
human and we get tired and we get overwhelmed. For
goodness sakes, life on life's terms can be a challenge,
but also are you going to shut up, show up
and live and live lighter and brighter and truly be
of service to life? So looking back, what are the
(31:51):
spiritual revelations or areas of growth that happened for you
this year? And it could be in your physical body.
It could be with your intuition, your dream life. It
could be with your psychic abilities, or you've opened up
to new areas of metaphysics. It could be that you
(32:15):
started writing poetry, singing songs, performing whatever it is, writing code.
I don't know, how has your spiritual life expanded this year?
And where was it strained? Where was your spiritual life
really put to the test? And where are you today?
(32:37):
And where do you where are you wanting to evolve
it forward? What does that look like? For you, all right.
I know that is a lot of a lot of reflection.
You can come back to this over and over again.
And I told my producer Elizabeth, I was like, this
will be really short, we'll go through it. But once
I started diving in, it was like, gosh, there's so
(32:59):
much to extrapolate from this year, and a lot of
it feels intangible. It feels like it's been a massive
inside job for many of us. And I tell you what,
as we move into next year, we will get to
put our strength and our sovereignty and our faith and
(33:21):
our expanded consciousness to work, and we get to do
it together. You all know I'm going to end on
that note is you're not alone. Whatever you have worked
through this year, wherever you've been challenged, wherever you've been
delighted and rewarded, know that you are worthy and you
(33:42):
are celebrated because, thank goodness, we have each other. Thank goodness,
we are here and we are showing up and growing
because all of our sovereignty and our missions are meaning
our purpose on this planet and in this lifetime. We're
here in the most unprecedented times of humanity. And shoot,
(34:05):
it's hard, but it's freaking exciting, and I hope you
are excited for the growth and also for the journey
you've been on and the journey you are going on
as we shift into twenty twenty five. So take some time,
get reflective, celebrate your wins, and recognize where you've got
