Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, friends, Welcome to his Biology Squad. We are a
team of spies who specialize in science. You see doctor
Stinky Breath in the Purple Ninjas are trying to take
over the world through science, and it is up to
us to stop them before.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
It is too late.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
On the last episode, we saw that mister Jim and
his family are not only stuck inside of some giant
plant that hate them, but it seems to be starting
to digest them and it's melting their flip flops. O dear,
Ava and Jaden have finally found them, But how in
the world are they gonna get them out and save

(00:45):
the world from these ginormous carnivorous plants. Well, let's find
out what happens next. As Jaden was rushing around the
beach area looking for something sharp to cut open the
plant that mister Jim and his family were stuck inside of,
Ava was taking a sample of the plant cell to
take a closer look at it. Wow, this is unreal.

(01:10):
I'm gonna need to call main HQ for this one,
said Ava. She reached down for a walkie talkie. S
HQ HQ, come and this is Ava over sh Hey, Ava,
aren't you on vacation. Sh I was until mister Jim
and his family got eaten by a ginormous plant. Sh

(01:33):
Oh my, that's not good. How can we help sh Well,
I'm pretty sure this plant is a carnivorous plant, possibly
a venus fly trap, but it's the plant cell that
is super strange. I need you to send me as
much salt as possible. Sh will do over and out.

(01:54):
Sh As Jaden was running back into the forest from
the beach, he was carrying a large rock with him
that hopefully would cut open that plant to get mister
Jim and his family out of there. He started hitting
the stalk of the plant with it and said, Hey, Ava,
did I hear you ask HQ for salt? Wow, that
looks like a heavy rock. And oh, it's starting to

(02:16):
make some dense said Ava.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
You see, every plant or animal is made up of
something very small, you know, called a cell. Even our
body is comprised of all these cells. But there's a
difference between animal cells like our cells, and plant cells.
Animal cells usually increase in size by increasing their cell numbers.
They turned one into two, into four into eight. Plant

(02:41):
cells only increase their cell size by becoming larger they
grow by absorbing more water into that central vacuule of
the cell.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Okay, but what does that? What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Said Jaden as he was huffing and puffing after slamming
this rock into the plant stem. Well, basically, these plant
cells are so huge because they've absorbed a lot of water.
So is there a way we can drain these plant
cells of all the water? Said Jaden. I like the
way you think, Jaden. That's exactly why I asked HQ

(03:20):
for all the salt. You see, there's a process called
osmosis that is going to help us shrink these plants
back to their normal size, or at.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Least I hope so said Ava. Ugh there.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I got it, said Jaden as he pulled back a
giant piece of the plant, making a big hole. Mister Jim,
are you able to climb through this hole?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Here?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
He shouted?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Well try all right, hey, boys, let mom through first,
then you're next. Go. Miss Jocelyn was able to squeeze through,
followed by Miles, Malachi, Derek, and then mister Jim. Whew, wow,
thanks for saving us, said miss Jocelyn.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Now how can we help? Well?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I just called in to HQ and We're waiting for
them to send us a lot of salt with a drone,
said Ava. Wait a second, said mister Jim, Are you
thinking about using that to pull the water out and
shrink the plants? He got very excited. You nailed at,
mister Jim, said Ava. Just let us Moses do the

(04:33):
work for us. Hey, Dad said Derek, what's us smoso osmosasaurus?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
What was it? Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah, Derek, it's called osmosis. What Ava is planning to
do here is brilliant. If we pour a whole bunch
of salt at the base of the plants, you know,
the plants that just ate us, the salt is actually
gonna be able to pull the water out of the plant,
thereby shrinking it back to its normal size. Off in

(05:05):
the distance, Malachi.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Heard the drone. I hear the drone.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
He shouted, good ear, Malachi said, Jaden, Hey, we could
use all of your help. Everybody, grab a bucket of
this salt and dump it on those giant carnivorous plants.
Just make sure that you don't pour it on any
other plant, cause it will kill them. Everybody started getting
to work. Mister Jim, Miss Jocelyn Miles Malachi, Derek Jaden,

(05:33):
We're all grabbing salt buckets and pouring it on the
giant carnivorous plants. After Ava passed out the last bucket
of salt, she said, well, it looks like you all
have this under control. My guess is doctor Sinkybreath has
bigger plans with this, so I'm gonna fly up to
the blimp and stop them before it gets out of control.
As she grabbed her jetpack, mister Jim said, good luck, Ava,

(05:56):
We'll take care of all this down here. Just stay safe.
Mean while the Purple Ninjas were finishing up their next
batch of that water expanding serum.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
All right, little guy, he's your special syrup. Just hold still.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Oh hey, what's going on? Steve? Hey, bien by.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Noes get him off of me, Get him off.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Hols Now, hols Now. Why didn't we have the big
plants that bite well, Steve, let me think, do you
think Daniel lions wouldn't be able to help us take
over the world? Come on, Steve, anyways, just show me
how the serum.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Is coming along.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
We need to hurry.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Ava had just arrived at the outside of the flying blimp.
She was able to peek in through the window and
hear what they were saying. I knew they were doing
something to the plants. Looks kind of like it's that
serum that they're talking about. It's in that big container.
I wonder if i'd pour some of the salt in there,

(07:01):
maybe it will stop the osmosis process and the plant
won't be able to absorb unlimited water. Brilliant Ava carefully
climbed through the window while the Purple Lungines were arguing
about something. She poured all the salt she had with
her into that container of serum and jumped back out
the window and blasted off without even being detected. Wow,

(07:25):
what an amazing spy that Ava is. Okay, fine, Stave,
have it your way. You can have the boss's old
stinky sock.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I've always wanted on a bish.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Doctor stinky Breath heard all the noise and came walking
into the lab. Stop fighting, he said, pairpo Ninjas were
running out of time.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Pours seramon all these plants. Now.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
The Purple Ninjas started to pour the serum on their
venus fly traps. Wait a second, fires Vilting, what did
you do? They're not getting bigger?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
The Purple Ninjas were shocked.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Am Ah, but I don't know what's happening.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
That's here?

Speaker 3 (08:13):
What's perfect and ready to go?

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Does this Luke? Perfect and ready to go? Their ponin chow.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
As Ava landed back down on the beach, Jaden and
mister Jim were just walking out of the forest.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Ava, we're over here, shouted Jaden. Hey, how's it going
in there? Did the salt work?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Yeah, Ava, your plan was perfect, said mister Jim. They've
all shrunk down back to their normal size. Uh Jaden,
are you holding one of those venus fly traps behind
your back?

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Uh? Yes, yeah, this one was kind of cute, said Jaden.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I think it might be a fun pet. Well, you know,
as long as it stays small, of course. Mister Jim laughed. Well,
you guys better get back to your families. Don't want
to miss out on all the fun they're having. Wait
a second, said Jaydon with big eyes. My ice cream.
Jaden pushed the turbo button on his jetpack and blasted off.

(09:23):
Uh AVO, what was that about, said mister Jim, confused,
Oh you know Jaden and his ice cream. Wow, great jobs,
Biology squad, We saved the day.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Holy smokes.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
I do not want any carnivorous plants getting ginormous.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
And oh that would be terrible.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
It's a great thing that Ava saved the day through osmosis.
