On today’s episode, Jason discusses whether or not the San Francisco 49ers might feel forced to offer disgruntled wide receiver Jauan Jennings a lucrative contract extension this summer, why Jalen Hurts should feel disrespected after a panel of anonymous NFL execs/coaches/scouts ranked his as the 9th best quarterback in football five months after winning Super Bowl MVP, if we should be surprised that Patrick Mahomes is still ranked #1 after two statistically mediocre seasons, and why you shouldn't believe the latest trade rumors surrounding LeBron James and the Dallas Mavericks.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is straight Fire with Jason McIntyre.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
What is up straight Fire Famp. It's me Jason McIntyre.
Straight Fire for Tuesday, July fifteenth. Oh, yeah, Monday happened.
It was a day at the home run derby. Shout
out to the Big Dumper. Fun fact, Rob, I did
not know what that nickname was about. Obviously, I know

(00:33):
dumper is your butt, but I did not know that
they had nicknamed cal Raley the Big Dumper like that is.
I'm sure his parents are thrilled that that's his nickname.
What do you can put that on T shirts? But
shout out to cal Raley for winning the home run derby.
Unfortunately I was otherwise occupied and I missed it. But

(00:54):
we are recording this late Monday night after cal Raley
capture the home run derby. We will do a lot
of NFL today, obviously because some stuff happened. And then
at the end we just have to address something. I
don't really want to get into it, but I think
I have to, So we'll address that at the very end.
But I do want to start, obviously, the ESPN list

(01:14):
of the top quarterbacks according to executives, coaches, and scouts.
We'll dive into that, but I did see something that
I thought was even a bigger deal than that, as
the kids say, a low key bigger deal, And that
was Juwan Jennings in the middle of July, about a
week before he's got a report to camp. Juwan Jennings,
who was nearly the Super Bowl MVP two years ago.

(01:37):
I don't know if you guys remember that he threw
for a touchdown and then let me see he threw
for a touchdown. I think he caught a touchdown in
the Chief Super Bowl. Yeah, five catches forty two yards
in a touchdown and threw a TV pass. They did lose,
but he was in the mix for Super Bowl MVP.
And then last year he really broke out. Remember this
is a seventh round pick. Niners love those seventh round picks,

(02:00):
and he went from this is his receiving receptions per
year as a rookie twenty four. I'm sorry, he was
drafted in twenty twenty, so as a rookie he had
he didn't even play. In his second year, he caught
twenty four, then he caught thirty five. Twenty twenty three,
he caught nineteen balls in thirteen games. That was the

(02:22):
year they went to the Super Bowl, he had nineteen catches.
Last year gets hurt Debo's in and out of lineup.
Juwan Jennings had seventy seven catches. His target share rose
from twenty twenty three thirty three targets to one hundred
and thirteen. His targets went up fourfold. His yards went

(02:46):
up over four folds. He had six touchdowns last year,
seven in the first three years that he played football combined.
So Juwan Jennings blew up last year. But I think
it's contextual, right Why well, brandan Ike was out of lineup, okay,
Deebo Samuel not one hundred percent in an out of lineup,
and Ricky Piersoll of course got shot their early round
draft pick got shot in uh before the season even

(03:08):
started and had to miss some time. But Jennings look
like a keeper. So what do they do? They move
off Deebo Samuel Ayuk's recovering and Piersol should be ready
to go. So Juwan Jennings a week before he's got
a report says, you know what, I think I'm gonna
hold out or if I don't get a new contract,
And at first glance, I'm like, wait a minute, that

(03:31):
that's what a jerk move. Why why wouldn't you do
this back in March? And he's now realizing that Brandon
and Ayuk probably this the news came out over the
weekend that Brandon and I you probably will start the
season on the pup list returning from injury. I'm shocked
that Brandon Ayuku got hit with the lazy tag is
not going to be ready to start the season. Interesting,

(03:52):
So Juwan Jennings just last year got a new deal
two years uh as something like uh thirteen, two years,
twelve million dollars. Just got a new deal two years
eleven point eight million dollars. And then he's looking around saying, whoa, whoa,
whoa hold up, brock Perdy got fifty something, Brandon ne

(04:15):
Yuke's not ready, Deebo's gone, I gotta get paid. And
then you look at the fact that Juwan Jennings is
already twenty eight years old, turn twenty eight this week.
He's probably saying, well, shucks, I might as well go
out and try to get some money out of these guys.
Let me squeeze him. And then you look up who
his agent is and if your sand friend You're just like,
oh great, now I gotta do what this headache. His

(04:36):
name is Drew Rosenhause, who everybody knows. So the Niners
all of a sudden feeling good, easy schedule. Right, You
got Jennings, you got pearsall, you got Kiddle, you got
a healthy Christian McCaffrey, Trent Williams looking good, brock Perdy
got paid forty nine ers or a Super Bowl contender,
and then you get this a week before camp starts. Now,
I don't exactly know what kind of guy Jennings is.

(04:59):
Is he gonna be Hey, I'm holding out. I'm not
showing up at play hardball? Like, what's the move here?
He hasn't really been paid in his career, and so Rob,
I don't what do you think the move is? San
Franz just has got no luck. Remember Deebo Samuel was
a hold out a couple of years ago, and then
Ayuk was just a disaster dealing with that guy. I'm

(05:20):
not sure how they fell into such a crappy situation here,
this late in the summer, but it's tough. I don't
think you can go into the season without Juwan Jennings.
If you're the forty nine Ers. You just can't do that.
But do you have to bend over and pay this guy?
It's it's a real crappy spot for the Niners. Rob Yeah,
well just look.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
At it this way. For anyone who's not familiar with
the forty nine ers receiving room, here's how it stands
right now. Brandon Ayuk recovering from a torn acl and
mcl okay DeMarcus Robinson, who is potentially facing league discipline
for a DUI.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Oh, I didn't even know that.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Ricky piers Saw, who you recall was shot in the
chest about a year ago and coming off a c
and where admittedly because he was recovering, did not put
up the best numbers right as a rookie. Jacob Cowing
is five to nine a bucks seventy two.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
He's a rookie, right.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
And Juwan Jennings, who was unhappy with his current salary.
Now to your point, the timing of this is terrible
if you're a San Francisco forty nine Ers fan. But
if you're Juwan Jennings, can I give him a round
of applause for being one of the few NFL players
who is willing to maximize his leverage, even if it

(06:32):
makes him look like a dick to like the rest
of the fan base, because it's not like s doesn't
have money. At last checked, according to people around the
Bay Area, as of Tuesday morning here in the East Coast,
San Francisco has the second most cap space available of
any team, just under forty six million dollars. So if

(06:54):
they really wanted to, they could easily rip up that
current contract. Say we're going to front life the hell
out of this deal. We're gonna make the cap number
ridiculous right now, so it descends in years moving forward,
and this way we are not totally ravaged by the
salary cap, and quite honestly, it would behoove them to

(07:15):
do that. To your point, this San Francisco forty nine
ers team is kind of being slept on right now.
They're gonna have an easier schedule going a forward next season.
Brock Purdy is back, the offensive line looks healthy right now,
and most importantly, their best player, Christian McCaffrey, appears ready

(07:35):
to go. So they have legitimate aspirations coming out of
the NFC. And if you don't have Juwan Jennings, yeah, like.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Where do you go?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
There's only so many times you could hit McCaffrey out
of the backfield or hit George Kittle on a seven
yard crossing route.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Teams will stack the box exactly.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
So you need that threat on the outside that quite frankly,
they do not have without Juwan Jennings.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
I was actually targeting Jennings in fantasy this year. I
think he could have a good year. I'm not at Ayuk.
I'm not a humongous Ayuk fan. Just the attitude like
he was a really good player two years ago, but
ever since he was chasing that money, it was just
very I don't know. I don't want to des Bryant
d George pickensy just I'm not in debt. That's not

(08:24):
really my vibe. But it is interesting that Jennings is
holding out because his quarterback got paid. But Rob, I
don't know if you noticed.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
I mean, I thought the big story in this ESPN
quarterback list again they pulled quote dozens dozens of GMS.
I'm sorry not GMS. It was executives, coaches and scouts.
Executive could be a player, personnel, it could be anybody.
Coaches and scouts, dozens of them were polled and they

(09:04):
ranked Jalen Hurts ninth among quarterbacks, which I think is
just freaking balder dash.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Give me a break.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
And Brock Purdy did not even crack the top ten. Now,
obviously we need a disclaimer. You know, Dak Prescott didn't
make the top ten. I think eleven they said was
c J. Stroud and twelve was Jordan Love, which fine, whatever,
Now this is where it gets weird. Rob. A year

(09:31):
ago at this time, C J. Stroud was number seven
after his monster rookie year. So flashy new toys get
preferential treatment. Jade Daniels had the greatest rookie year ever
for a quarterback. He checks in at five. Okay, five.
There's really no firm criteria that I could find out about,

(09:53):
Like what are they judging on the objective was to
identify the best players four twenty, not a five year
projection or a career achievement award. Who are the best
players today? So Rob, when I say who are the
best players today, you largely have to lean on what
happened at the end of last season, right, I mean,

(10:14):
I could players have gotten that much better from January
and February to now. Not really no games were played,
I mean, but the guys aren't even really playing since
the Super Bowl ended. Nobody's doing anything. And so I
look at this list and I think it's just a
little bullshitty when it's preferential to first round picks. Nine

(10:36):
of the ten guys were first round picks, Jalen Hurts
the only nine, and Jalen Hurts, who was the MVP
of the last football game we saw play He was
tremendous in the Super Bowl. The defense was excellent too.
He still only comes in at ninth, behind Jared Goff,

(10:57):
behind Justin Herbert, who, for what it's worth, is awesome
but has zero playoff wins, Matthew Stafford, and then a
Jayden Daniels like the top four I get. I guess
Rob among my beefs are if we're just talking about
right now. I don't understand how Jalen Hurts cannot be five,
and there are numbers that show from the pocket he

(11:18):
was a top five quarterback in the league last year
and over the last three years he has been winning
significantly from the pocket. And I'll add Rob that he's
had three different offensive coordinators in that stretch. Now, a
guy like Jared Goff again, I like him. He lives
out here near me in the South Bay. I've seen
him and his supermodel girlfriend who's about to have a baby.
They got the exact same dog we do. I like

(11:40):
Jared Goff everything about the guy. So Rob, you're one.
I'm fairly certain Jared Goff had Jeff Fisher as his
coach and he was I think Owen seven and was,
oh my gosh, what a bust. Then he gets McVeigh,
one of the smartest offensive mines in the league in
the last fifteen years, and boom, Jared Goff is like
a star and within a couple years he's in the

(12:00):
super Bowl. Then McVeigh says, oh, Goff is limited. We're
gonna get rid of him. We're gonna bring on Stafford,
and GoF gets Ben Johnson. Now I know people are like, well,
who the hell's Ben Johnson? I don't know who was
McVeigh before he got the head coaching job. Ben Johnson.
All he does is ascend to basically the most coveted
offensive coordinator we've seen in the last I don't know,
five years, and Goff has basically had McVeigh and Ben

(12:24):
Johnson and he's crushed it. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts every year's
been in the league, he's had a different offensive coordinator. Well,
how fair is that? Now you can look at Baker
Mayfield and say, listen, listen, Baker Mayfield can't keep a
coach because every coach who coaches him crushes it. And
I would point out, well, okay, Baker's also got Godwin
and Evans one of the best receiving duos in the league.

(12:45):
I mean, they got to a Super Bowl with Tom Brady,
didn't they, Like, he's got weapons. This whole like Jalen
Hurts gets knocked because of the weapons. It's goofy, Like,
I totally get it. Jamar Chason Tiggans are the best
recon duel in the league. Joe Burrow would be fine
without them. What happens if brock perty gets those guys?
You know, like it's just you could play this game

(13:07):
all day. It's so tough in the NFL. But I
don't think most people have beef with you know, if
you want to put Mahomes one off his worst year. Fine, whatever,
I don't care. Josh Allen too, he was the raigning MVP. Sure,
I can't really quibble with people who have beef with
the top four. They're unassailable the top four, and I

(13:28):
just I think Jalen Hurts did enough last year. And
I know people will say, well he stepped back. Remember
they were were like two and two to start the season,
and then they leaned on Saquon Barkley. More okay, sure
they leaaned on Saquon Barkley in a two thousand yard season.
Derrick Henry did he not have an incredible season? With
Lamar Jackson? Was he nothing special? I mean, Patrick Mahomes

(13:52):
has the greatest coach in the league in Indy Weed.
You can play this game all day. It just irks
me that we're dinging a guy who just won Super Bowl.
MVP was excellent in the playoffs. He's a multi dimension quarterback.
I don't see a weakness that hurts his game. Can
you play from behind? Well, I don't know. He is

(14:13):
so good in the first quarter that they're not really trailing.
So this love for Daniels I get. And he was outstanding.
But I don't know, Rob, I just the list kind
of pissed me off.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yeah, when I first saw the list on Monday morning,
immediately I had two thoughts. One of them, as you mentioned,
the Jalen Hurts situation, because, like you, I want to
know what the criteria is, because it's definitely not who
is the best quarterback right now or who is the
best quarterback entering the twenty twenty five to twenty six season,
because if that was the case, then Jalen Hurts would
be much higher. He would definitely be in the top six,

(14:44):
probably at five. If it's based on historical numbers, then
Jane and Daniels should not be in the top five
because only had one good season, right So it's very
confusing as to what exactly they're voting on. And I'm
not even a huge Jalen Hurts fan. I've been on
this podcast for years and I've always been kind of
lower on him than the mass is definitely lower than you,

(15:05):
But even I got to admit that he is a
big time, big game player. Like if you even just
remove the Super Bowls, because I know that he's had
two of the greatest statistical Super Bowls of any quarterback,
not just you know, recent memory, Like he's just been
incredible in the Super Bowls. If you look at his
playoff numbers, he has as many playoff wins in his

(15:28):
career six as the rest of the twenty twenty quarterback
class combined. Burrow, Love, Herbert Tuak.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Wow, if you wouldn't been holding hold on, hold on Burrow,
Burrow went to a super Bowl, Love has at least
one yep, Herbert zero to a zero exactly, and he
hurts as.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Six damn exactly.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Okay, if you look again, not even just counting the
Super Bowls where he has been otherworldly, if you look
at his playoff career six and three averages just under
two hundred and forty four total yards a game, twenty
total touchdowns, three I INT's with two super Bowl appearances,
one super Bowl championship, and a Super Bowl MVP. Like

(16:16):
what else does he have to do to get the
kind of respect around the NFL that his resume would suggest,
Like it's gotten to a point, and I think you
might agree with this. Where the people who are voting
in these polls in this case, the execs, the scouts,
the coaches. It's not just that you are a good quarterback.

(16:36):
It's that you're playing quarterback the way we want you
to play, the way historically the best guys have played.
Because there is no good reason why Jalen Hurts would
be ringing ninth coming off a Super Bowl MVP where
you had the most dominant offense that we had seen
in a postseason sometime. There is no good reason why

(16:58):
Lamar Jackson, a two time MVP missing unanimous two time
MVP by one vote, a four time I think he's
four time All Pro quarterback at least three for sure,
and you have him a distant fourth where one guy
who actually voted him as the sixth best quarterback in football. No,
what it is is, you don't like the way he plays.
You don't like that he seems to be more of

(17:20):
a runner than a thrower. You don't like that he's
not six five to two thirty standing in the pocket
and delivering crossing routes all day or out routes for
fifteen yards like. It's just you want it to be
a certain way and it's not. So that's why I
have an issue with Jayleen Harrist the other one I
had an issue with, and I saw that you kind
of took this and ran with it on the Herd
on Monday. Again, we don't know what the guarteria is,

(17:43):
but in what world is Patrick Mahomes right now playing
like the best quarterback in fullth He's not.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
He's not. Now, listen, what's his name? Adam Chernoff came
on the Herd and was like last week and actually
pointed out, listen, their receiving corps was really banged up
last year. Hollywood Brown was hurt, she Rice played a
handful of games, Xavier Worthy was a rookie. All those guys,
all that speed with a motivated Kelsey could vault Mahomes

(18:09):
back to being old Mahomes next year. And I had
not considered that, but I would agree with you in
no planet should Mahomes be number one heading in the
next season. I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Yeah, And just because again, if it's a lifetime achievement award,
then one thousand percent he's number one, and he's probably
in the conversation for number one all time before we
being quite honest, just based on his resume, but in
the last two seasons he has thrown twenty five interceptions,
one less than Baker Mayfield, who has the league lead

(18:40):
with twenty six. The difference is Baker Mayfield during that
same stretch has a passer rating of over one hundred.
Patrick Mahomes is ninety three. During that same stretch, Baker
Mayfield has thrown sixteen more touchdown passes than Patrick Mahomes.
Patrick Mahomes in the last two years, I know that
it's comparing, you know, apples to oranges because its first
four years starter work arguably the greatest four year run

(19:02):
in NFL history. But over the last two years, his
passing yards per season from that four year run are
down by over seven hundred yards a year, his touchdowns
are down twelve touchdowns a year from his peak, and
his interceptions are up. So I guess you know where,

(19:24):
maybe we're not comparing Patrick Mahomes from his absolute peak
to what he is now. But you cannot tell me that,
based on what we've seen on the field, that he
has been a better quarterback than Lamar Jackson, has been
a better quarterback than Josh Allen, has been a better
quarterback than Joe Burrow. Hell, you can even make an argument.

(19:45):
I wouldn't, but you probably could make an argument that
Jared Goff has been better the last two years than
Patrick Mahomes. That's not to say that I would take that.
I would take GoF over Mahomes. But again, what's the criteria.
If we're saying right now in this point in five,
in July of twenty twenty five, that Patrick Mahomes has

(20:06):
shown himself in the last eighteen months to be the
best quarterback in football, you're lying to yourself because he hasn't.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
It's weird how so many people get upset that Mahomes
is if he's not one, Like, what's wrong with the list? Again?
It says clearly right at the intro, this is not
a career achievement award. I guess a quick word rob
like this Jordan Love situation in Green Bay. I don't
know what to make Is Jordan Love good? That's a

(20:37):
really good That's like a basic question. But I don't know.
If you're getting paid like a top eight quarterback in
the league and you're not considered a top ten quarterback,
what's going on now? You could play the Hey, Christian
Watson was hurt last year and you know, I mean again,
you got excuse me like that for every freaking team.
I mean, where's Kyler murray on this list, where's Dak Prescott,

(20:58):
who's the highest paid by a mile and two years
ago was MVP runner up. I believe, Yeah, yes, here's
what he's thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. I don't This is weird
and like, listen, these lists do well. I like them.
But yeah, the Jaalen Hurts thing irked me more than anything.
I just think it's a disrespect because, you know, first

(21:20):
impressions matter, and he was his second round pick and
he was not amazing out of the gate, you know.
And Jade Daniels had the greatest rookie year ever, you know,
And it's just this whole the disrespect for brock perty
being a seventh rounder. Okay, I cannot wait rob for
party's nine ers to go like twelve thirteen wins and
everybody's gonna like, oh, well, let's see you. It's a
rock party. You know, it's not him. Everybody's healthy, so

(21:43):
they're good.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
It's just annoys, you hear.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
What else you got to consider is that in the
others receiving votes, your guy, our guy, friend of the show,
Aaron Rodgers was getting votes. What I did not see
in what world is Aaron Rodgers performing any way shape
or for him like a top ten quarterback.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
He was horrific. How could he get any votes?

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Exactly?

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

Speaker 2 (22:18):
All right, listen. I didn't want to talk about this,
I really don't, but I feel like I at least
need to address it this. So we're recording this late
Monday night, and undeniably all over social media was this
idea that the Dallas Mavericks are imminently trading for Lebron James. Now,

(22:39):
if you listen to yesterday's pod, Rob and I broke
it down pretty clearly that it's not gonna happen. There's
no there not gonna be another deal between Nico and
Rob Polinka. Okay, it's just no way. And the Lakers
would be fools to take back a poop poop platter
of no disrespect to poop PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford, you know,

(23:03):
washed Klay Thompson, although he's down dating making this down in,
the Lakers are not doing that for an all NBA guy.
They're just not it makes no sense. The Lakers would
laugh at the Mavericks for that. But for some reason
it is going viral that there's an imminent deal. Now,
this is probably wishful thinking for the Maps. Hey we
get Lebron, Kyrie a d Cooper flag. Oh my gosh,

(23:26):
we got the chip. That's a lock. There's no way
that's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Now.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Maybe Lebron is upset and would love to get there
with his boys. You know, he's tied with Kyrie and
he loves ad. Maybe Lebron would love to get there
with those guys. Maybe, but that's not happening. If you
want that to happen, you should not have opted in.
You should have opted out, and hell you could to
just look gone. But there's just no world where this happens.
Rob as a Laker fan, though, I am sensing that

(23:54):
Laker Nation is reaching that tipping point with Lebron where
they're kind of like, I'm over this, We've got Luca.
Can we just move on? Are you getting that vibe?

Speaker 3 (24:04):
I'm one thousand get into that vibe because I'm kind
of in that boat right now. Oh and I might
be the wrong person to talk to about it because
you know, day one listeners of the pod that know
that I've run hot and cold with the Lebron James
experience here in LA because on one hand, it's given
you some of the highest highs, obviously the Bubble Championship
being won, and even the next year when they started

(24:25):
off so hot like Gangbusters, and then Lebron's ankle got
ran into by Salomon Hill like kind of derailed everything
and they lose to Phoenix in round one. But it's
also giving you some of the most uninspiring, you know, embarrassing,
quite frankly basketball that I've seen in my life, Like
the Russell Westbrook experience was terrible. Lebron when he knows

(24:46):
his team is out of it, throws the ball off
the back of a backboard, you know, trying to inbound
it right like, or they inbound it and he's watching
it roll up the court and he forgets to get
it before it goes out of bounds like like that
kind of stuff. And then you know Lebron pulling power
plays year after year after year after year and really
nothing to show for it, say for that one championship.
This is not like peak Lebron, where every year you're

(25:07):
in the mix that just hasn't worked out that way,
So I guess I wouldn't. I'm not saying I'm rooting
for Lebron to league, but I wouldn't mind it either
at this point. But you know what's funny is I
saw that mav stuff percolating online and it's all MAVs Twitter, Like,
it's not anybody reputable. It's just like MAVs fan sides
and Reddit size and credit to those guys, Like we've

(25:29):
seen some of the best NBA news in history broken
on Reddit, you know, just because it's people who know somebody.
They know the Valet guy, they're friends with, the agent
and their investment. Baker is his best friends with Nico
Harrison and blah bla blah blah. Stuff like that happens
from time to time. And then in the very next tweet,
you know, after that one gets shared half a million times,

(25:50):
there's a video of Lebron James at Summer the League
dapping of Ropelinka, and you're like, well, I don't know
what to believe anymore, because on one hand, it seems like
he's definitely going to Dallas. The other hand, it seems like, nope,
me school he's hanging out with the rest of his teammates.
Either way, I like you, I don't see it happening.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Yeah, I just don't see it. I mean, you know,
we'll get through these July dog days of Lebron. I
will say I think one of the biggest sports moments
of the year this calendar year, excluding you know, the
Dodgers World Series Game one shot on Halloween, I think
the biggest sports moment of the year because there wasn't
like a moment in the Super Bowl. I guess the

pick six was big, But the Luca trade, to me
is like last year we had a lot of mo
It's the Dodgers World Series, you had the Steph Curry
at the Olympics. I'm trying to think, was there anything
in the NBA Finals. No, the Super Bowl went to overtime.
That was That was great. So twenty twenty four was amazing.
Twenty five I don't really know that there's been a moment.

(26:50):
I think the Luca trade was probably the biggest sports
woman of the year. And again I'm just going off
the cuff. If Lebron somehow got traded, I think that
would eclipse the Luca moment. Wouldn't it Ooh, I mean,
I mean he's ever been traded, is he? Yeah? Now,
I mean I mean, I don't know if there was
like an opt in and sign and trade. Maybe there
was that I forgot with like the Cleveland or Miami.

(27:11):
I don't remember exactly how.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
The technically the Miami deal was a sign and trade.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Sign and trade, right, Okay, traded? Yeah, well this would
probably have to be a Now it wouldn't be a sign.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
So here my only and I think you're onto something.
My only I guess Devil's advocate pushback would be what
made the Luca trade so size me because that nobody
saw it coming and people thought that Schams was hacked
when it happened. At this point, because of all the
uncertainties surrounding Lebron, even though it would be a seismic trade,
just because anybody anytime I guy have that status gets dell.

(27:44):
It's a big deal. But because we've kind of been
murmurs about it for a couple of weeks now, maybe
it's not as big. But in terms of like the
grand scheme of thing as sports, Oh yeah, Lebron James
getting traded would probably the biggest deal of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Yeah, for sure. And I'm sure some of you out
there thought I was going to talk about something else,
but I definitely was not. And we had to get
into Lebron there to wrap the pot. Okay, we're back tomorrow.
