Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is Straight Fire with Jason McIntire.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
What is up straight fire for you. It's me Jason McIntyre,
Straight Boyer for Wednesday, October the fifteenth. Oh boy, oh boy,
the Dodgers look good people. Dodgers go up two to
oh on the brew Crew with a dispatch of Milwaukee,

(00:31):
and that game one, going back to it, that ninth
inning was so pivotal Dodgers steal that Brewers have to
feel kind of defeated, and then it was just, yeah,
the Bats want silent again from Milwaukee. So Dodger's up
to nothing, looking increasingly like a Dodgers Mariners West Coast
World Series. Yeah, obviously I'll be trying to get to
a game if possible out here. But we have other

(00:53):
stuff today. We have a great guest, Joe Shad Palm
Beach Post. I've I followed his stuff since he's covered
college football long long time ago. Now he's covering one
of the biggest train wrecks in the NFL, and that
is the Miami Dolphins. Because their coaches on the hot seat,
the defense can't stop a nosebleed, their quarterback is calling

(01:15):
out people on the team. It's all ugly and I
just wanted him to break it down. And it's funny
because Miami Dolphins in theories a good job. Players want
to go there, right And Joe runs through a bunch
of interesting names who are successful NFL coaches right now,
who had been in the building. It's a little spooky

(01:37):
how Miami just let these good. Dan Campbell was there,
Ben Johnson was like, geez, Miami, like it's an attractive town,
attractive city. But it feels like a full on reboot
is coming, all right. Enjoy Joe Shad. We are back
tomorrow obviously Bengals Steelers on Thursday Night Football. I did
bet the Bengals getting five and a half. I know

(01:59):
it's just small, small action play a fate of the Steelers.
We'll see if Mighty Joe Flacko can deliver with That's tomorrow.
We'll break it all down then, but now, enjoy Joe
Shadd of the Palm Beach Post.

he knows everything when it comes to sports. I know
what sports fans want, but for everything he doesn't. He

(02:32):
knows a guy who does.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Let's just say I know a guy who knows a
guy who knows another guy.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
All right, let's welcome back to straight fire. Big time
reporter knows the Miami Dolphins a sinking ship. Well, maybe
that's a little bit harsh as well as anybody. Joe
shadd Paul Beach post Joe, how are you man?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Good? Jason?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yeah, it's been a while since we've spoken. Not a
lot happening in Miami except for the last month. And
I don't know. We just saw the Tennessee Titans by
their coach and everybody's on, you know, Mike McDaniel, watch,
I saw the statement that Stephen Ross released. I don't
know what do you make of Miami at this point
the season. They as a brutal loss to the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, you know, one in five is certainly not what
the Dolphins were hoping. There have been several close losses,
but this is not a very good.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Team right now.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
And the off the field drama and turmoil, it just
compounds everything.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
You know.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Comments from Tua Tongue Vailoa and press conferences Tyreek Hill
and then of course the Tyreek Kill injury.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
It's just it's just not good at all.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
I mean, I'm trying to find a bright spot. I
was even gonna look to see like if they have
extra draft picks or maybe they don't have a lot
of guys who are free agents. But it's tough to
look big picture at the Dolphins without you know, looking
closely at Oh my gosh, what's gonna happen with the coach?
And then what the heck happens with Tua. Now I
know they did sign them to a long deal, but

(03:58):
I'm just curious, what's the vibe you got those comments
are to have made? You know, I know he's trying
to be a leader, but they came off clunky and
McDaniel had to correct him. I don't know where are
you on that?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yeah, you know, Mike McDaniel and to a Tongue of
Loo would seem to be attached at the hip. Mike
was obviously a huge advocate of To a Tongue of
La reinstilled his confidence after it was ruined during the
Brian Flores era. So you know, it seems more likely
than not that this will be Mike McDaniels last year
as head coach. We can't say with certainty if this
will be the last year for general manager Chris Grew,

(04:29):
who's had ten years under owner Stephen Ross with no
playoff wins.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
What Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
In fact, he's been with the organization for twenty five
years and the only year in which the Dolphins won
a playoff game was his first year with the organization.
So it's really hard to understand how much patience owner
Steven Ross has. But he is an extremely patient man.
And if they bring in a new general manager and
a new head coach, you have to think that they're

(04:57):
going to at least want a quarterback Mike Panics, Kirk
Cousins for example, Russell Wilson, Jackson Dart for example.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
To usher out the Tua era because he's probably under
contract with the Dolphins next year.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Interesting, let me ask you about McDaniel. He came in
and it was, oh my gosh, this guy who's just yale,
little guy. He clearly didn't play football, but said all
the right things, and then you know, he seemed to
get a little cocky after the two playoff trips. I
think I don't want to call him the bell of
the ball. But a lot of people liked him and now,
of course, well he can't control the locker room. He's

(05:33):
too young, he's not a former player. He's too friendly
with the players. What do you make of the arc
of McDaniel.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yeah, and McDaniel is a great guy, and he all
those stories we wrote about him having emotional intelligence, the
ability to relate and connect to people from different environments,
the ability to lift their confidence, the ability to teach
using different methods.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
That hasn't gone away. He's not dumb, okay, And all those.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Things that we thought were funny, the fans no longer
think are funny. The press conference jokes, the quirkiness.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
It's just the way of life.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I mean, McDaniel knew that all the things that he
was praised for when he was winning, he would eventually
be criticized for if the team were to lose. He's
a very smart guy and anybody around McDaniel, anybody around
the Dolphins would know that those things fly when the
team is winning, and they become really highlighted as detrimental

(06:28):
when the team is losing.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Yeah, it's weird, Joe when I see him at the podium.
Now he's stub he seems to be. Now, maybe I'm wrong.
You see him way more than I do. Seems to
be a lot of well, he just doesn't seem or
look as confident. Is this a beaten down man or
pretty much the same McDaniel No.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I mean, it's hard to make as many jokes when
you're one in five. He has a certain self awareness
about that. But you know, Mike was always big on
eye contact, and there has been a lot of looking
down lately, and I've noticed that. And if Mike watched
back his press conferences, who would probably notice that too.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
I think that's on behind the scenes.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
He is probably as you would expect, frustrated, disappointed, melancholy,
all those things. I think even he probably realizes he's
in a ditch that's going to be really difficult to
dig out of.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Now.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
I haven't seen him try to play the blame game
and blame Greer the GM. I think we could both
agree that looking at the history of the draft day,
they have not done well. I know there were plenty
of people advocating to move on from Tyreek Hill and
they refuse to do that. They kind of built a
track team and it's pretty clear the AFC is going
to go through you know, cold Cincinnati, cold Buffalo, or

(07:46):
cold Kansas City for the next like, I don't know,
eight to ten years, and they weren't really built for that.
But you know, they did make the playoffs twice under
his watch. How would you analyze how he did in
Miami as a head coach? And I know I'm speaking
in the past tense. I'm just assuming they're not feeling
off a nine game win streak, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I mean playoff wins in the first two years certainly
acceptable performances.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
The Dolphins were hoping.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
That last year they would be legitimate Super Bowl contenders
in the AFC. That did not happen for multitude of reasons,
including injuries. But the Dolphins can't use injuries as excuses
anymore because they've had too many older players who they
signed or drafted despite knowing their injury histories, including unfortunately
to a.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Tongue of bell Low.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
The Dolphins drafted him knowing he had a catastrophic hip injury.
The Dolphins drafted him knowing he wasn't particularly strong or
strong armed or mobile. You know, the Dolphins knew what
they were getting. They were hoping they were getting the
next Drew Brees. They built their team and their offense
around his strengths, and so you can't blame them. You know,

(08:50):
nobody was complaining when the Dolphins scored seventy points at
a hard rock stadium against the Denver Broncos. But it's
been down hill from there. And I think you know,
it's both on and off field. The defensives have sort
of caught up to some of the scheme things that
were causing tremendous confusion for the players that the Dolphins
were facing. And then also just off the field. Man,

(09:11):
you know, you went from really good vibes to really
bad vibes. And the Dolphins would have moved off from
Tyreek Hill, but there's no chance they were going to
get equal value for him. It's like trying to trade
your two year old Ferrari. You know, it's like you're
not going to get anywhere close back to what you
paid for it, or for how well you.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Know it can perform when it's not in the shop.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
But at the same time, they're now going to get
nothing for him because he's hurt and down for the season.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Now, I know you.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Couldn't have predicted that, but I would assume his days
in Miami are done. And the problem with building around Tua,
which again it wasn't the worst idea, they did have
some eyes, is that now you've got to kind of
tear it down to the studs to rebuild, right. I mean,
I don't think you could just say, hey, we're a
few pieces away. We could keep tuoh, we could keep Wattle.
My read is you kind of got to tear it up.

(09:59):
And I, as a Jets fan, I know this because
you know, Aaron Rodgers is now thriving with Pittsburgh, and
I got buddies who are like, oh, come on, Jay,
you guys Golda had Err and you're moved off them.
I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, it was not
going to work with the Jets.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
So you move off him.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
You got to tear it down. It's going to be ugly,
but then you build it back up.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Do you think.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Miami could salvage this with like a hate we could
make a few moves around the edges, bolster the O
line or is it like a hey we got a
clean house, GM coach, quarterback, everything.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
No, it's a starting over. I mean, you know Jason
that the Dolphins tore it down. They didn't want to
call it a tank, but it was an intentional tear down.
In twenty eighteen. At the start of twenty nineteen, All
Pro safety mikeer Fitzpatrick asked for a trade. He wanted out.
I think the Dolphins reacquire him nineteen to twenty five,
six years later, and they're no better off. They spent

(10:50):
all this draft capital, they invested all of Steven Ross's
free agent dollars, and they're no closer to a Super Bowl.
As a Jets fan, you know that pain, You know
the torture. You know that your friends say, what about
Aaron Rodgers, Maybe we should have kept them? Look how
he was succeeding elsewhere. What if I told you that
Todd Bowles was an interim coach for the Dolphins, that

(11:11):
the Lions coach was an interim coach, Dan Campbell for
the Dolphins, and that Ben Johnson was an assistant coach
for the Dolphins. Those are three coaches who have come
through the organization. And what Dolphin fans consistently say is
how come players and coaches have more success after they
leave the organization?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Wow, that's an amazing said, I did not know that
about Ben Johnson. So let me ask, so now you're
scared of me? When you start looking big picture, you're like, well, geez,
these guys haven't really been successful since I don't know,
Dan Marino. Is that how far back you have to go?
I think feeling they got to an AFC championship, didn't they.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Well, you know, I was the first time I covered
the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
They had some really good players, Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas,
Ricky Williams, Patrick Certain, So that was really the last
time the Dolphins were really good.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
You know. Obviously it's just been so long and the
owner has tried all sorts of things. He's gone players coach,
he's gone disciplinarian, he's gone offense, he's gone defense. You
have to assume that if and when the Dolphins move
on from Mike McDaniel, they'll go back to the Brian
Flores model of disciplinarian.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I mean, we see this in all sports. We see
this in all franchises. Dependents and swings back and forth
and back and forth. I think that owner Stephen Ross
would be smart to pursue a head coach with experience.
He's pursued and failed on Jim Harbaugh and Sean Payton
in the past. If he had delivered those guys, this
might be a different story. If he had delivered Tom

(12:45):
Brady on that yacht Super Bowl weekend.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
You know.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
And when Belichick said he couldn't play anymore, well, we
all knew he could, and I guess Stephen Ross knew
he could too, because he wanted to sign him.

Fox Sports Radio has the best boy talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (13:10):
That's funny you said when you were mentioning all those Dolphins.
You said Patrick Surtan, I was like, wait, a sec
pecard Shirtan didn't the Broncos drafted like no, his dad?
Oh my gosh, that's how long it's been.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Now.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
It is interesting. This whole disciplinary and the Brian Flores
thing flopped badly, like really badly. You know, they went offensive.
So you, my guess is a defensive minded disciplinarian is
probably who they would target. So what let me guess
like a Jesse Minter.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Of the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yeah, but here's the he's too young. He doesn't have
it here's.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
One thing about NFL coaching hirings, and you know this.
You want to, if possible draft have the play caller,
the offensive play caller, be the head coach because you've
seen this so many times where you lose the talented
offensive coordinator very quickly to another franchise as the head coach.
So you know that's why the Dolphins went Adam Gase

(14:02):
Mike McDaniel, And so I wouldn't rule out offense, okay,
and Mike mctag Dolphins fear, the Dolphin fans fear that
Mike McDaniel is going to go become one of the
best play callers in the NFL somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I would suspect that he So do you think do
you think he'll be a head coach or do you
think he goes OC and then head coach again?

Speaker 3 (14:22):
I think oh would be smart. We saw Adam Gase
make a mistake. It's not his fault. The Jets wanted
to hire him for some reason, and so it's hard
to say no to that head coaching salary. But I
could certainly see Mike McDaniel being a successful coordinator. Uh
and then who knows, maybe down the road, having the
success that the Dan Campbell's and the Todd Bowless of
the world have had years years later.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
But yeah, but Brian Floores in't tw a tongue of Vallo.
It was just a terrible mesh. It was oil and water. Yeah,
I did know they weren't a good match.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
So you you mentioned bulls just now. So he seems
to somehow have unlocked the strategy where he's like, hey,
I'm a defensive guy and I will rotate OC's But
he maybe they've just gotten suit him and Jason liked
have been gotten just lucky.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
He'll give you another one.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Josh Grizzard, Grizzard or Grizzard. Yeah, he's a right, he's
a rising star. Okay, did you know that he was
the receivers coach for the Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
I didn't know that all of these.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Guys chasing all of these guys that have come through,
whether they were receivers coaches. He was like a quality
control guy and I was like one of the fastest
ricketing stars in in football.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
That's interesting. So how does that what's your read, Joe?
How does that happen? How do all those big names
come through there? Is it simply that everybody wanted to
work in Miami. Hey yeah, honey, we're moving to Miami.
Like you're a young guy, You're moving to Miami. Like
that's I'll definitely go there.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
That's part of what makes it so painful, right, I
mean you look at you look at the Florida Panthers,
back to back Stanley Cup championships, no state taxes, beautiful weather,
great culture. The Dolphins have outstanding facilities, beautiful stadium. The
owner is willing to do anything, He's willing to pay anything.
It's the opposite of the Marlins guy, you know. And
you know, I would like to see a winning product

(16:10):
down there with the baseball. But all they do is
just keep turning it over and turning it over. They
never actually invest. This guy Ross invests. So that's just
part of what makes it so difficult. You know, so
many players want to come here, but then you got
to question while they're coming here for the right reasons,
you know, So you really got to do your investigative
work because too many guys have come here to sort

(16:31):
of wrap up their careers, you know, and when they
get here.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
On the back nine, it's interesting, I'm looking at their schedule,
it removed that Colts game that early one. They've been
able to put up points right twenty seven on the
Patriots twenty one now know some special teams as factored
and then the Jets. So they're they're scoring, they're just
not completing the process in winning.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Defense has been terrible defensive cooridator Anthony Weaver interview for
Hedghut Coachings last year Rising Star in the Professional Smart Guy,
Good Coach. Terrible season. They're one of the worst defenses
in the NFL. They're the worst defense in the NFL
against the run. I think the Dolphins underestimated how much
the losses of Klais Campbell, Javon Holland, and Jalen Ramsey

(17:19):
would have on the field. Ramsey went as part of
a cultural turnover.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
They wanted to.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Have guys who weren't always can we say being and
moaning and unhappy?

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Can you say that on a podcast?

Speaker 2 (17:32):
You can say bitching, You can be so.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Jalen Ramsey very talented player, but he was always bitching
and moaning and causing a headache for the Dolphins, and
so they said, let's get rid of this guy. And
now again Dolphin fans, watch your watch Jalen Ramsey winning
games for the Steelers and Brian Flores be doing an
outstanding job as a coordinator.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
It's just a very pay I feel bad for Dolphin fans.
They're they're a very torture group.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yeah well, I mean, listen, you're talking to a Jets
fan here, and you beat the Jets. On the game,
I thought the Jets played okay. They just kept fumbling
and screwing up at the most inopportune times. Now here's
my thing. One of the bets I made this week,
I'm on the Browns against Miami. It was two and
a half. I'm seeing on some threes now. I mean,
if they lose to Dylan Gabriel on the road. Now,
the problem with the Browns is their home road splits

(18:19):
are incredible. For whatever reason, they become a juggernaut at home,
playing in front of the Dog Pound, and I don't
I'm a little worried about that offensive line. I'm looking
at some of the grades for Miami. Holy hell, it's
not good. Can't stop the run. We know that the young,
the rookie, the dolphin the Browns have, he could get loose.
I think the Browns win this one, and I don't
know what's your read on if they lose to the

(18:41):
Browns this week.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Yeah, the Dolphins are gonna have a hard time winning
in Cleveland. I absolutely agree with you there. The Dolphins
starting right guard has only played a few snaps this year.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
He's out. The Dolphins right tackle has only played a
few snaps this year. He's out.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
The dolphins starting left guard is a rookie, and he's
the worst graded garden in the entire NFL.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
So this is a bad matchup. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
If the Dolphins win, it's gonna have to be like
thirteen n in my opinion, So take the under.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
I guess.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Take the under if you believe in the Dolphins. But
I don't think Ross is in any rush to fire
Mike mcdane. I think the assumption is going to be
that McDaniel not will not be that coach next year.
But you know he calls the offensive plays, so Hoo
becomes the offensive play caller.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Anthony Weaver was the assumed interim.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Coach, given a chance to become that coach, but they
have the worst defense in the NFL, so it's hard.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
To make him the interim coach.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
You know, it would be have to be a compihlation
of these awful off the field moments where the Dolphins
become sort of the laughing stock of the entire NFL
world and media.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
It is.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
You know, you watch those TV shows and when they
talk about the Dolphins, it's not a flattering light. I'm
sure that Stephen Ross's friends are letting him know the
things that are being said about his franchise. But you know,
I mean, look, we saw with the Titans, right, Folks
didn't think that he would get fired this Yearly the owner, Yeah,
maybe speak speak of the press conference to explain herself,

(20:09):
but she obviously woke up and said, I'm done with this.
I'm washing my hands, and that can happen, you know,
you lose, you know, thirty to seven.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Yeah, of course I think he might get fired.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Yeah, So again, it's disrespectful to McDaniel, But I got
to ask, like, if I'm spit bawling Kneans, I'll just
throw something at you. You give me your read on it.
It doesn't fall in the disciplinarian bucket, but he knows offense.
And if there's anybody who could take two out of
the next level. Your thoughts on Cliff Kingsbury.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Yeah, I mean, I know Cliff, and certainly he would,
in my opinion, be an intriguing candidate to owner Steven Ross.
I think he would be excited about the offensive pedigree
and track record. And you know, I would say that
if Cliff Kingsbury wanted an interview that he would probably
be able to get one if in fact the Dolphins
job opening, you know, occurs.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
How about you know, not as sexy of a name,
a little older, Mike McCarthy one with Aaron Rodgers, did
a lot of good things with Dak Prescott. It kind
of left that ship before it sank in Dallas. Defensively,
at least they're not an eleven win team. Any thoughts
on McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah, I mean, not a name that's going to necessarily
excite the fan base. But I think because of his
credibility as a legitimate, established head coach who's won a
lot of games, that he's a guy who certainly would
would merit some consideration. And it's kind of just hard
to know. When they hired Flores, it was all about CEO,

(21:38):
leader of men. When they hired McDaniel, it really came
out of left field. Remember, no one else had even
interviewed McDaniel for the head coaching job. They were just
blown away by his acumen and smarts and enthusiasm.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
So, you know, it's hard. It's hard to know.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
And I know you're a long ty. I first met
you or got to go up on your stuff when
you were covered from college football. I'm just gonna throw
a name at you. You know, I think he's coveted.
I thought he would be ticketed.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
For the Bears.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
They went a different direction, but Marcus Freeman of Notre Dame.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
Yeah, I mean, I know Marcus.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
I think Marcus is certainly a rising star in the
coaching profession.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
No idea.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Obviously, owner Stephen Ross is a Michigan guy. Yes, it's
always certainly familiar with Midwestern football.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Who won the Michigan Notre Dame game this.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Year at her I don't think they've played yet, but
I'm fairly certain Notre Dame will win it.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Yeah, I mean, obviously you know that he went Nick.
They went Nick Saban at one point, so.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yes, yeah, I think anything's in play. You're right, McDaniel
was a curveball and Miami who I wonder. Lastly, you
know the Verabel's success with the Patriots. He's now on
top the division. That's got a stay. I know that
hurts the Jets, but it really has to sting the Dolphins,
who have been the second best team in this division

(22:57):
for a few years now, and you know it to
be them in Buffalo, and clearly New England has passed
both the Jets and Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
It's funny, right, the Bills and the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Two defensive coaches who are you know, tough and you
know strong and all this sort of stuff.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
Yeah, you know the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
The Dolphins thought that once they had gotten rid of Brady,
that that would usher in an era of enthusiasm, optimism
at Hope. I think eventually the Dolphins is going to
end up trying to seek their own mic Forrabel. I
don't know if Rabel ever would have coached the Dolphins,
but that's the mode or model that they might be

(23:38):
turning back towards.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
All right, Joe Shad Palm Beach Post. Listen, man, my
Jets are down bad. I don't mind them being down
because I want them to get the number one pick. Listen,
as soon as you're right. As soon as Brady left,
I was like, all right, the Jets have a chance.
We just got to find our guy. They haven't been
able to find their guy. And the Patriots said Drake
may who Now you saw him up close. He kind
of looks like a French quarterback, doesn't he.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I think the Jets and the Dolphins have both been
seeking their identity.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
For me, for the Jets, when I think of the Jets,
I think of either the Wesley Walker altoon explosive offense
days or the Rex Ryan defenses, so you can.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Kind of go both ways. I would prefer to see
the Jets go defense.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
And of course Aaron glenn is supposed to be, you know,
the answer for the Dolphins on def for the Jets
on defense.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
But well the Jets had that with Robert Salah. Yeah, good,
good coach, and Aaron Rodgers let him down. And I'm
sorry people don't want to hear it. Aaron Rodgers let
him down. Not the injury, but last year. I mean, Joe,
I don't know how close do you follow the Jets,
but like he had like three or four chances in
the first half of the season late in games to
deliver and failed all of them. It was like vikings.
There were a few other games. I don't have them

(24:52):
off the top of my head. But and he just
didn't deliver.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Same old Jets and same old Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
All right, Joe, take it easy.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Goodness here

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
