Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is straight Fire with Jason McIntyre.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
What is up, Drake Fire, fam, It's me Jason McIntyre.
Straight Fire for Friday, February twenty eight. The month has
come to an end. March is upon us. I know
you're excited. I'm excited for March Madness. Now it's time
to you know, be able to name more than Cooper
Flag in the college basketball ranks. You know we're gonna

(00:32):
We've done a lot of Lakers stuff this week, you know,
coming off the vacation and obviously the Big Game Tuesday
previewing it talked about Lakers with Bucker. So we'll save
Lakers for a little bit later and open with the big, big,
huge seismic matchup in the East, Celtics Calves. It is
a big one tonight. I still believe the Celtics are

(00:53):
the best team. The Calves have been the better team
this regular season. But again that doesn't mean a whole
hell of a lot. This is where it gets interest
and it's this is what makes the NBA so utterly
fascinating is these side stories, these subplots that emerge, and
you know we're already on words. Kevin Durant gonna play
next year, what's up with Paul George next year? And now,

(01:14):
because those are the two big horses, we're at the
face of the NBA discussion. It's like you could set
your clockvy February. What are we gonna talk about? Oh,
All Star Game sucks, ratings down? Who's the face of
the league? Lebron is old step sold you know, it's
all this normal stuff. But Jason Tatum, the great Jason Tatum,
who I will remind everybody for the Celtics led them

(01:35):
in point three bounds and assists last year during the
playoff run. He was phenomenal. I know Jylen Brown got MVP.
That's fine. I don't care. You know, Jalen Brown's a
very nice player. Jason Tatum is the better player than
Jalen Brown, period. I mean it's not I don't think
it's a huge gap. Tatum's better. But what's really interesting
is he was kind of sort of benched in the Olympics.

(01:56):
Is in a tough spot. You know, Kadie the veteran,
Lebron the veteran, those are the guys playing his position
makes it tough to get minutes. And then you look
around the league and who was it was it Patrick Beverly.
Somebody was disrespecting Tatum. He's not very good. And then
Rob g found a recent interview where his trainer, who
was a guest from the Pot I think two years ago,

(02:17):
Drew Hanlan, maybe it was last year, Drew Handlin, excellent guest,
you know, said Tatum's gonna be one of the all
time greats. And this is what's funny, Guys. If you
look at the numbers for a guy like Luca and
a guy like Tatum in their first five six years
in the league, you're like, wait, what have they accomplished? Ridiculous?
And then you look at playoff success and you're like, oh,

(02:37):
damn wait, Jason Tatum's been to wait the finals, the
conference finals, Like, how what's he doing? Like we forget
guys the likes of Michael Jordan, Carl Malowe. These guys
couldn't do. The guys in the nineties, guys that you love,
Kobe Bryant all the air balls. He was thrown up
as a young guy, like a lot of guys started

(02:58):
out with struggling. Tatum so went basically right to the
top of the class. Do you remember when he dunked on
Lebron Celtics Cavs Now. The Celtics ended up losing that game,
but it was like, oh, Jason Tatum is here. I mean,
while he didn't get out of the opening weekend of
the NCA tournament, rip that duke team, which was stacked,
I had them winning a title in one of my
fifteen brackets. But you know, Tatum is kind of a

(03:19):
superstar in my mind. A lot of people don't say
he's a top five player. I have him is definitely
top five. And then as Trader comes out and is
saying nice stuff about him, and of course there's a
lot of pushback, and then Jason Tatum spoke and Rob
g found this quote that I was kind of bewildered by. Rob.
You want to read the quote for us? Sure?

Speaker 3 (03:37):
So JT caught up with Michael Lee of the Washington Post,
longtime rider there, and he was asked if he feels
like he's properly appreciated in NBA circles. Here's what Tatam said, quote, Honestly, no,
if you took the name and the face away from
all my accomplishments and you're just like, this is what
this player a accomplished at twenty six. People would talk
about me a lot differently.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I mean, Rob that that's crazy his numbers. So in
year three he was All NBA and he averaged like
twenty three game. That was at age twenty one. He's
been All NBA First Team in the last three years.
The guy's putting up by twenty six to thirty points
a game. I mean he's awesome. He's filling the stat sheet,
plays a lot of games. Is not a guy load
managing by any stretch of the imagination, shooting in his

(04:22):
mid to high thirties from three. But what he doesn't
have is the sizzle and Rob. I you know, I
was like taking a shower last night and I had
this idea. I was like, you know, it really has
to do with the sizzle. The NBA culture is so
different than any other sports culture that swag and showing
out and highlights, that stuff matters so immensely. You go

(04:48):
back to Alan Iverson, right, Alan Iverson, I mean he
was an awesome player, obviously went to the finals once,
didn't always have a ton of help, but we forget
like did he make other players better or was he
just a scoring machine? But he had the highlights and
the swag and the crossover of Jordan. Okay, you know,
people tried to put Allen Iverson as one of the best,

(05:08):
like combo point guards ever, like not even close guys,
really awesome player, but he had the swag and that's
why people love him. Russell Westbrook, mister triple double guy,
can't make up three pointer and save his life, never
won a title, but triple doubles look bit the dunks. Oh,
he tried so hard, Like people love Russell Wills, Russell Westbrook.
It is very strange like Anthony Edwards is being talked

(05:30):
about his face of the league. Why is he getting
the nod over a guy like Tatum? Why Because Anthony
Edwards dunks on, people talks trash, curses in interviews, has
a cool nickname ant Man, and people love him. The
basketball culture rewards these guys who were peacockying and celebrating
and swagged out and have a deep bag, right as

(05:52):
opposed to Tatum, who's just kind of a quiet superstar,
puts up massive numbers, goes to the playoffs every year.
I mean, look at Tatum. The last three years played
nineteen playoff games, twenty playoff games, twenty four playoff games.
I mean, that's like another season for most players, that's
like a high what is that forty four plus sixty
three games? Chalks in a seventeen playoff run nineteen is

(06:15):
a rookie. He's had another season already. Like Jason Tatum
statistically has been otherworldly and he gets no respect, and
it's kind of dumb and annoying. But it is interesting.
If you look at Magic and Larry, you know they
both want a lot. Larry with the MVPs obviously three straight,
but Larry was kind of a quiet superstar. Magic had

(06:36):
the highlight reel passes, He had the big smile. Michael
Jordan obviously major superstar. Kobe Bryant one MVP, but you
could name all his amazing eighty two point game, cursing
out Schwach Parker, fighting with Shaq like legendary work ethic.
Kobe highlights are legendary right there everywhere. It is just

(06:57):
so weird that a superstar, a legit superstar like Jason Tatum,
doesn't really get the love that he should. It stinks,
but it's the NBA culture.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Now.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I will say Rob, the one guy who kind of
sort of has broke through is Steph Curry doesn't talk
a lot of trash, is a below the rim player,
but he's got thirty five foot three pointers. He a
flurry of threes. He makes impossible shots. He's got a
little swag with like the three that he puts up
and then turns around to face the crowd, the no

(07:26):
look three as they call it, Like that's awesome, those
cut through and it's weird. A guy like John Stockton,
no flash, no sizzle, all time leader in assists, all
time leader and steals. But I mean maybe I fall
victim to this. He's not considered one of the all
time greats at point guard. I mean top ten obviously,
but not like a top five kind of guy. Isaiah

(07:48):
Thomas legendary, Like you need these moments where Isaiah goes
after Michael Jordan, Isaiah doesn't want to shake hands, Isaiah's
crossing people up. Isaiah and the bad boy Pistons are
punching people, Like again, what like if you want to
be face of the league or as celebrated as the
top guys are, Like do you have to be one

(08:11):
of these in your faced dudes, talking trash monster dunks?
Like can you be successful by just scoring and winning
does that even work anymore? And we're a weird, you
know point in the NBA, where again, culture has taken
over so much that if you don't have all those
unbelievable highlight reels, it's like, oh, yeah, he's good. But

(08:32):
so I don't know, Rob, it's a little disappointing. I
maintain that the league right now, the top five guys
unequivocally Luca Weemin, Yama, Jokic, Giannis, and I have Jason
Tatum as five. I you know, and a lot of
people put Lebron there, and Lebron's been amazing, no doubt,
But I think Jason Tatum right now, I would take
Jason Tatum right now over Lebron, you know, as my one.

(08:54):
You know, if you're picking your like number three guy, well,
Lebron obviously, but Tatum overall, I think it is certainly
a top five player in the league. Like he just
doesn't really struggle at all. He puts up massive numbers.
I know, he plays a lot of minutes and he's
on a winning team. But guy's a superstar. Rob.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Jmack, you are so right. You can't turn left right
now like you would just tip over. Everything you said
was one hundred percent accurate. And I want to throw
some names and some numbers at you, just to put
in perspective what Jason Tatum has done in his NBA career.
And again, I am a through and through Purple and
Gold Laker fan. If anyone is supposed to hate Jason Tatum, it's.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Me, all right, Yeah, that's you.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
That's me SGA, who by all account is gonna win
the NBA MVP this year in a runaway landslide. I
know SGA is kind of only recently burst on the scene.
He is already to twenty six years old. At the
end of this season, he'll be a three time All Star,
a three time first team All NBA, and to be

(10:09):
determined in the postseason. Okay, Jason Tatum, depending on how
these playoffs shakes out, at twenty six, will be a
NBA champion, six time All Star, four time first Team
All NBA, one time third team All NBA. And if
you don't want to just bring up the Championship. He's

(10:31):
been to the Eastern Conference finals five times. He will
have been to the finals twice.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
How many conference finals trips for SGA that'll be zero?
Oh interesting? Okay? And then the other one.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
And this one's gonna blow your mind, especially because I
know this is your guy, Luca Donches.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I think Luca's great.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
I think Luca at worst is the third best player
in the league. You have number one.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
We can argue semantics at that point.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Luca, when this season is over, entering the playoffs at
age twenty six, will be five time All Star, five
time First Team All NBA. He have made the finals once,
made the Western Finals once. As great as Luca is
and he is phenomenal. If I'm just comparing resumes, Tatum's

(11:17):
gonna have one less First Team All NBA than him.
He's gonna have one more All Star appearance, He's gonna
have a hell of a lot more postseason success.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Oh, and he has an.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
NBA championship under his belt. And here's the last one
for you for all the you know today's NBA is
not great. What about the guys in the past, They
were so much better? YadA YadA, YadA, Like just look
at the resumes, look at Okay, when this season is over,
Jason Tatum will have as many first Team All NBA

(11:47):
nods as Derk Novinski, Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett, David Robinson,
Steph Curry.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Wow, he will have more first.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Team All NBAS then Alan Iverson, Scottie Pippen, Steve Nash,
Bill Russell, Isaiah Thomas, Kawhi Leonard.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Wait, wait did you say Scottie Pippen.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Scottie Pippen only had three and Tatum this would be
his this will be his fourth.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Hey, do you think he's a lock for first team
this year? Absolutely a lot. I think guys had the injuries, right, Yeah,
I mean that that's that's terrible.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
But even without the injuries, when you are the best player,
I think he leads the Celtics right now in every
major category and they're the number two, there'll be the
number two three seed in the East. It's kind of
hard to deny him a first team All NBA. Not
but just that that's the way putting it into perspective.
And you brought up a good point because he's not sexy,

(12:44):
because his personality, as we saw after they won the
championship is kind of awkward because of the narrative that
came out about him during that Olympic run this last summer,
he's viewed as like, oh, yeah, he's okay, like he's
pretty good, but yeah, but when you just put his
resume up against your favorite player in the league, you

(13:08):
know this side of what Lebron James and even Steph Curry.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Funny you said, Steph Curry, Yeah he overtaken Curry, Like
he's right there.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
And if we get to this conversation and you brought
it up, illustrated it perfectly. We are in this age
now where everybody is so concerned about the bag and
what are your Instagram highlights look like? How many views
do you get on tape? That's how we determine who
the best players are. I'll give you an example again.
I am a Laker fan, I am a Kobe guy.

(13:42):
I think Kobe's phenomenal. I think Kobe's the top five
player in NBA history. I think Kobe wow. I think
he's one of the greatest scorers I have ever seen.
But I could never tell you with the great with
a straight face that just because his bag is deeper,
that he is a better scorer than Lebron James because statistically,

(14:03):
my argument would fall apart immediately.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
At some point.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
It doesn't matter how you get the ball in the basket,
as long as you get the ball in the basket.
And if Lebron's gonna do it by bulling his way
to the hit the hoop or shooting a three and
not having much of a post game, we're not having
much of a drops thee.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
But YadA, YadA, YadA.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Because Kobe's game is prettier, I can't necessarily say he's
a better scorer because Lebron can do the same way
in a more efficient way. And that's where we're at
with Jason Tatum. Because he doesn't yam on dudes like
ant Man, because he's not pulling from three like Luca,
because he's not, you know, bulldozing his way.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
To the basket like Giannis.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
He's kind of discredited over and over and over when
if we're just going resume for resume, there's not five
guys who have a better resume of his era than
Jason Tatum.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
There's probably not even two. But by the way, real
quick on the three pointers. One of the craziest stats
I saw Obviously, Curry, nobody disput he's the best three
point shooter in league history, best three point shooter now.
But would you believe that Anthony Edwards leads the league
in three point makes this season? He has kind of
transformed a little bit to only dunks and threes. He

(15:13):
is starting to get the memo that Tatum got many
years ago, where it's, hey, we don't love those mid
range shots, buddy, you need to be going to the
ten or shooting threes. And it's it's weird, but that
Anthony Edwards leads the league in three point attempts by
over Jason Tatum. Tatum is number two. Now if I
were to tell you, like guess, you would not have
guessed either of those guys. Top five. Curry is actually four,

(15:35):
Tyler Hero five Malik Beasley, who's jacket in Detroit. But
it's like, you're right, Anthony Edwards is now trying to
get in that highlight reel three point stratosphere the way
Curry is, and he's already got the dunks.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Yeah, And it's just it's just a weird space to
be in because I actually did know that Anthony Edwards
stack because I think that it was either you or
someone else. And fs one who pulled that it might
have actually been Rick Buker before we were recording yesterday,
or he kind of mentioned that. And you know, Anthony Edwards.
I don't want to bash Anthony because I like Anthony Edwards,

(16:11):
I like SGA, I like all these guys. But at
some point, the end result has to matter. It's not
just how it looks. It's got to be what the
destination is. And Jason Tatum since he's been in the
NBA has done nothing but produce at a high level
when a hell of a lot of basketball games and

(16:32):
collect hardware, Like, like, what else can you say about
him at this point? And it's kind of disappointing that
because he's quote unquote boring if you want to call it,
that he's not seriously considered as the next guy to
take the torches to face the league.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I don't get it. It is kind of interesting when
you kind of when you look around at some of
the stuff Tatum has accomplished and you're like, oh my gosh,
already I didn't realize the all NBA thing, you know,
And I'm sure some people out there are listening to
this saying, well, wait a minute, guys, what if Tatum
wasn't drafted by Boston and he went to Philly. Remember

(17:10):
Marco Fultz went number one. Remember that draft? It was
like an Alonzo ball went to What if Tatum had
gone to the Sixers? Would they still be in the
process and would he be Joel embiid where they can't
win or title, they can't break through and Mark kel
Fultz and I would say absolutely not. I don't think
in any world Mark l Fultz could have done what
Tatum's done. No way. Now what Tatum would be doing

(17:32):
in Philly is another story. But I'll ask you Rob
if and this is I don't really like this argument,
but people are doing it listening, so I know I'm
just gonna appease them. If you put Anthony Edwards on
Boston and you put Tatum on Minnesota, do you really
do you think Boston is a juggernaut because I don't

(17:52):
know that they're the same player. I think Tatum is
a better creator than Edwards, and frankly, I don't know
that Edwards is a better scorer. He's got a better
I like real, but I don't. I can't say for
certain that I think Anthony Edwards would be carrying Boston
the way Tatum has, and how would Anthony Edward tandle up?
But by the way, he had Karl Anthony Towns as

(18:13):
his wing man. It went well for a year and
then Anthony Edwards is now leading the show and they're
in the plan. So I don't really know how fair
that is to say, well, if you don't put Tatum
on the Celtics, what is he The fact is he's
on the Celtics and he's delivering. He's got a championship,
he's been to the finals, Conference finals, like the guy
who's delivering.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
You can't just dismiss that. You opened up the rant
about Tatum, Well, what ten fifty minutes ago that last
year he led the Celtics in the playoffs, points, rebounds, assist.
You know, he was only the sixth player in NBA
history to win the title and do that. It's Jokis
who's going to be a Hall of Famer, But Kim
olaju Wan Hall of Famer, Tim Duggan Hall of Famer,

(18:54):
Lebron James Hall of Famer, Larry Bird hall of Famer.
Like you can't just say, well, if if if Athony
Edwards was there or SGA was there, that things would
be different and they'd be doing things extens like you
can't dismiss that level of contribution and greatness, Like it
doesn't work that way. Number one, and number two to
anyone who's gonna say because he played in Boston and

(19:15):
that's why he's had the success, because he has a
better structure around him, you could I understand that to
a point. You also have to consider that since he's
been there, they've overturned that roster about three times. The
only constant is him and Jalen Brown. Remember there was
the Kyrie Gordon Hayward edition. Then there was the Marcus
Smart Terry Roseier edition. Then there was the Isaiah Thomas edition.

(19:37):
Then there was now this one you have right now
where it's Tatum and Brown and Holiday and then and
those guys like the If you pay attention to what's
going on in Boston all the way down from the
way they played back in the day when you had
Kyrie and the way they played when they had Marcus Smart,
and the way they play now completely different. The the

(20:00):
only thing that is the same, the only son in
this you know solar system is Jason Tatum he's the
only constant in all of it. He wanted to play
a defensive style where he's kind of the third and
fourth option and every once in a while, Hell, yam
on a guy like Lebron James.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
He can do that.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
You want to play in an up temple, We're gonna
shoot eighty five threes a game, and we're gonna try
to outscore you and win you with efficiency. He can
do that too. And oh, either way, he's gonna be
all NBA while he's doing it.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah, I mean, he's just scratching his shirt. I don't
feel like he's I guess he could be in his
prime right now, but it's early prime. He's got a
ways to go.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (20:45):
It would be remiss if we did not mention the
passing of the great actor Gene Hackman, who has such
an amazing catalog. I'm not gonna go through all the movies,
but obviously he had a significant sports one. By the way,
Enemy of the State, if you have not seen it,
Will Smith Gene Hackman. You must see that. I mean,
it's on TBS and TNT all the time, but if
you're terminally bored this weekend, please check that out. It's excellent.

(21:08):
I love that movie. But Gene Hackman's Hoosiers is considered
one of the best sports movies of all time, one
of the best basketball movies of all time. That being said,
I've tried to show it to my kids. A little
bit slow for the kids. It's one of those not
quite thinking man movies, but you have to put your
phone in another room or you'll be on your phone

(21:28):
pretty quickly because it does move at a bit of
a snails pace. Now, the basketball scenes I would highly recommend.
Now you could you could do what I do for
a karate kid. Well, you know in Rocky four as well,
but you can fast forward to the good scenes, aka
the fight scenes, the battles, the basketball and I just

(21:50):
love the scene where Gene Hackman takes over the team.
He's meeting them for the first time, Like the dads
of the players come in and he's like, oh boy,
I'm gonna have to clean this shit up and instantly
kicking guys out who are goofing off and I just,
you know, as a guy who coaches his kids. And
you know, I don't know if I mentioned this on
the pod, but I did get offered a high school

(22:12):
basketball coaching job not far here. We go about a
year ago, well maybe like eight months ago, and I
briefly entertained it. But I don't even have kids in
high school, So what's the point. I just love hoops
and watching Hackman the way he does that in some
of the drills that he did. I'm not gonna lie.
When my kids were I don't know, third grade, I
would set up chairs on the basketball court and they'd

(22:35):
have to dribble around them and go in for the layup.
Not just straight layups, you have to go around the
chairs like in Hoosiers now Rob. I know some people
push back on like Hoosiers, Rudy, these like eighties sports
movies that feel like they're in the sixties. People think
they're a little overrated. I like Hoosiers. I think it's
really good.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Yeah, I do too, and quickly, I don't want to
be remissry to bring this up. I would love to
see you be the next Guylie, but I think you
can win. I think you could I think you would
have more success.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
They the college guys respect Doug because he obviously, you know,
played at a super high level. Me, I just love
hoops and it's it's so funny. Somebody, Damn, I can't
believe I'm saying this. So there's this significant basketball tournament
in our area that I'd never heard of for youth sports,

(23:26):
and they're like, no club teams allowed, but you can
field your own team and bring it to the tournament.
And so I read this. They sent it to me
because I'm like the commissioner of a league, and I
was like, holy cow, this could be so fun. So
we're actually putting together a team to enter this. It's
like the fiftieth anniversary of some tournament. Now we could
get smoked, and you know me, I don't really like losing.

(23:48):
So we are, shall we say, recruiting somehow some good
young girls basketball players that my daughter knows. So but anyway,
it's like I love coaching. I highly recommend the Gene
Hackman movie Hoo's Yours. I consider it a Gene Hackman movie,
that's fair to say.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Right, Yeah, Hoosiers is one of those movies where, like
you said, there are there is some slow build in
that movie and let's be honest, right and that and
that's not unusual for movies made at that time because
it was nons of a sports movie. It's more of
a story, right like. That's that's what those movies were
like than when they were made back then. It's not
like what you would see today where the sport is

(24:26):
the highlight, right like that. That's kind of what we've
morphed into with movies like you know, Creed and some
of these other ones like that and for boxing, yeah, Hoosiers,
And we were texting back and forth.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
I don't know if we're gonna have time to do this, but.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
As great as it is, and it's a beloved film,
and I don't want to bash Gene Hackman on his
deathbed because Gene Hackman is one of the greatest enemy
of the stay as you mentioned, is a phenomenal movie
underrated by the way Heartbreakers with him and Jennifer Love
hewittt that.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Way Jennifer Love Hewett and anything. Yes, great, great Janie Hackmen.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
It's funny place like a a tobacco tycoon and he's
talking to a movie. But I must say, and maybe
it's I'm showing my age on this one. I don't
know if Hoosier is in my top five of basketball
movies of all time.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Okay, let's hear him.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Okay, so the top three without having to think about
it in no order. He got game that's good above
the rim, white men can't jump that.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
That's that's I can't I can't find anything other than
those three. What about Coach Carter?

Speaker 3 (25:30):
That would that's one that's in the mystry. Like after that,
I go, okay, I got coach Coach Carter's there. I
don't know if you remember the movie The Sixth Man
with Marlon Wayne's is a college basketball and his brother
dies and he plays as a ghost, and.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Then if my god, there's no way that's better than
it's a fun Okay, we'll fly that away. The way
his brothers shout out to those guys are good blue
chips show. Okay, now that's good. Nick nick nolty, right, Nicky.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
And then depending if you view it as a basketball
movie or if you view it as like a romantic
love story, love in basketball is a good movie.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah, that's good. That's I don't know that that's better
than Hoosiers. Just the the warmth of who dealing with
all this stuff. I thought that was great. Now it's
funny I mentioned coach Carter. I showed that to my kids.
They really liked it. It had good subplots, better ones,
you know, the kids trusted at a party, the shooting,
all the bad stuff. But the basketball was kind of

(26:25):
good in it. That a young Channing Tatum. That's right. Yeah, no,
that's a good good call by So Hoosiers doesn't crack
your top five. Interesting.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
So if we say, like if we mentioned coach Carter,
he got game above the ram, blue chips, white man
can jump, then that's five right there.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Hoosiers has to be in there. I will remove above
the room because is that Tupac. That is Tupac Tupac
Leon Duayanne Martin. I don't know who Leon is. You
don't know cool runnings Leon? No, I don't. Oh my god.
We will get.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Leon on the show because he knows you. He's actually
a friend of mine. He is one of the most
dedicated and fans in the world. Like he goes to
almost all the games. He's always sitting there with Spike
and Tracy Morgan. He's like in the third fourth row
and based on my conversation with him, he can legitimately ball.

(27:15):
So when they were filming above the rim, like you know,
when he's wearing the quarturoy.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Oh dude, I think he came on the podcast like
a couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Yeah, like he can legitimately play ball. So if we
want to get him on again and just talk about
your knicks before we flame out in the postseason because
I picked the next to win the championship, you know,
it might not be a bad idea.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Yeah, not a bad idea. All right, Well, that takes
us another weekend. We will come back Monday with some
very spicy Combine takes. I can't wait. Combine probably a
lot of the weekend. You know, I got kids sports
as usual and marches upon us. Gosh, I'm so excited.
All right, talk to you that
