Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yea from you don't want to ask your question.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Real good, Let's just keep it real straight shot with
no chaser.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I'm gonna get a little bit roughturre.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I'm here for it. Those who really believed in the
American process, all of us Street.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Shot no chase with your girl Tess on Figure Out
on the Black Effect Podcast Network network was that everybody
chairs on figure row, straight shot no chaser on the
Black Effect Podcast Network.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Own are started by charlagnea God. Shout out to him
for giving many of us creators this opportunity, and shout
out to the entire Black Effect family make it all possible.
I'm very excited because this is actually the end in
the beginning of our next season. Five years in the game,

(00:54):
got Marcella's role rocking with me today. Hello Marcella's Yeah,
how's God. Appreciate you being here, but very excited. Guys.
You know, producing this type of content it's not easy.
It seems easy. Yeah, they think it's easy, marcell but
it's not at all. It requires you to just constantly

(01:15):
have your head down, constantly sourcing, constantly reading, constantly, like
no days off at all podcasts. Many of you have
seen people start stop, start, stop, start stops. Reason behind
the Marcels because to come and just talk for thirty
minutes straight or an hour straight, you know about content,
it's you know, it's just not an easy thing to do,

(01:36):
particularly in what we do, which is the nerdy stuff,
the stuff that's not as entertaining all the time, the
stuff that might be boring, that's important to do. Very
very happy to have almost three hundred episodes consistently every
single week for the last five years as a major, major,

(01:56):
major accomplishment. And I'm very happy to be able to
say that and shout out to you, Marcellus, who have
watched pretty much are listening to every podcast. I think
you know more on my podcasts than I do. But
it's people like you that really, you know, have kept
the podcast going. I would love one day to be

(02:17):
able to have millions and millions of people listening. But
I've just come to the conclusion that, you know, this
type of work is a niche work. You know, we
do great. We got great followers, great supporters, no doubt
about it. But I'm very grateful, you know, to be
in this space. And I think now more than ever
as news is just being you know, developing every ten,

(02:39):
fifteen minutes, fifteen seconds if you will. People don't know,
you know where to go, what to listen to. Who
believe people making it up as they go. So I'm
hoping that the consistency in this space that God has
allowed me to do will afford me a chance to
really be able to give people the information that they're

(02:59):
looking for. Why everything is so crazy?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
All right? And you always say everybody came around with us,
so maybe it was just need three hundred.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
You're going to put somebody out. Yeah, this is supposed
to be to put somebody in. You try to put
them out our sales quick to tell y'all to go
on and welcome home and find another job, find some
mist But no, I'm grateful though for y'all and excited
to start another season with Black and Fed podcast Network,

(03:31):
So shout out to them for having me. I want
to get to some news. You know, as we're recording
this breaking news is happening. Many will hear. You know,
this is a real time show, so this will be
dropped tomorrow. But right now, you know, today is Monday,
and we just got the news of the Delta Airlines

(03:51):
plane that flipped landing. Eighteen injured, including one child. There
are some survivors, you know, thankfully. But I'm just gonna
read a little bit about this crash now again, guys,
this is I'm reading this in real time because I
wanted to cover it because it's a major story. But
it will change, you know, so when you hear this, say, oh, well,
by then you know this happened that had you know,

(04:13):
let's really let's give some grace and some space for
as things change. But I did want to kind of
get this on the books as it's happening in real time.
It set a Delta Airline, a regional jet jet crashed
while landing at the Toronto pierce At International Airport. Then
no More says, We've been hearing a lot about these crashes,
and I thought people were upset the other day because

(04:34):
the crash they posted on one of the blogs and
it was a small plane, not a large plane. But
this is an actual jet. So this is a jet.
This is not one of a little small you know
planes is they call puddle hoppers and with a major airline.
But it looks like the incident upon landing, so it
was landing. It was not you know, in the air

(04:54):
arriving from Minneapolis. And the good thing is there's no fatalities.
That's good. But apparently, as of what we know right now,
it was landing. All eighty people on board were evacuated.
There were some injuries, but again no fatalities, and I
think that's good. People got a lot of anxiety about
these planes seem to be followed out out of the

(05:16):
sky everywhere, so people are just feeling away. As of now,
we don't know what happened, why I rolled over the landing.
You know it was snow to ice whatever, so you
know they're still processing it right now. But what do
you think about all these planes that we've been hearing?
Do you think some of us been misleading because they've
been no small planes and the media just wasn't covering
it as much. People said that the media is doing

(05:39):
fear mongering. What's your thoughts on all these planes that
seem to be happening more often than not.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, I was just I was just looking seeing everybody,
you know, going back and forth on social media about it.
I don't know, it's kind of I don't know, it
does seem strange. You know, a lot of it keep
happening back to back. But you know, like you said,
some people feel like the media is just you know,
showcasing it more now than you know ever. So I

(06:08):
don't know, I just think it's it's weird though, Like
it's just it seemed like every week we having a
plane crash. I thank god that you know, all of
them survive and according to what we know as of.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Right now, Yeah, so that's good. And like I said,
I don't know, it's just reporting it more what it is,
and people just you know, feel away because so many
different things are happening, so much is unsure. Trump firing
folks left and right, which we're gonna talk about that
in a minute. So people just are unsure. It's uncertain times.
So anytime you have uncertain times and things like this

(06:42):
happen and simultaneously, which could have been happening every day,
it's just not reported on. So thankfully everybody survived. We'll
get more information about that through the week. I just,
you know, did definitely wanted to mention it since it's
something that that happened. Nothing I want to mention Saturday,
and I posted these guys. Make sure you follow me

(07:03):
on Instagram. Make sure you follow me at Revolt Black News.
So this is the setup for this year Marcella's. We
got the podcast as usual, that's not going anywhere. As
long as they have me every Thursday, you get long,
extended coverage and we really get into the ways of things,
talk about a lot of stories that you may not
have talked about, may not have heard. But Revolt Weekly.
I'm back at Revolt excited about that for those who

(07:25):
don't know. It was a cheap political correspondent last year,
you know, during the election, and so now I'm doing
a weekly recab Marcella's, which you've seen by now, but
it's just about seven eight minutes of about four or
five stories. Can't cover everything. The visual you know, y'all
love the visual Menyn you know y'all got to see
what the lipstick look like, what it is, what to that.

(07:47):
I prefer podcast. I prefer the audio learner. But for
people who really need the video, need to be on
social media. That's where you can get the video. Obviously, again,
I can't cover every single story. I can't cover it
as long is you know you would like for me
to not really commentary a lot of commentary. I might
get to do a little bit of commentary Marcellas, but
it's mainly just letting you know, you know, hey, these

(08:09):
are the top four stories because a lot of people
are saying, you know, I don't want to watch the
news every day, you know, I don't want to sit
back and be depressed and watch back to back stories.
So this is a segment that I hope you guys support,
and it's just kind of covering, you know, a few stories.
So one of those stories I covered last week that
I wanted to be petty and expound upon here at
the time at the podcast, which I can't which I

(08:31):
didn't do at Revolte News is Trump said that he
is sick and tired of playing games with a moss.
They better get the release in these hostages no more.
One by one, he said, get down or lay down,
or all hell is gonna break loose. I'm gonna play
the clip quickly and then we're gonna do a recap.
They ought to be returned by twelve o'clock on Saturday.

(08:51):
And if they're not returned, all of them, not in
drips and drafts, not two and one and three and
four and two.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Saturday at twelve o'clock.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
And after that I would say all hell is.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Gonna break out.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Well, guys, you heard it. Trump said no more one, two,
three four, you said either all or all hell is
gonna break out? Now? The time now is Monday. I
gotta make sure we looking at the time February seventeenth,
seven pm Eastern. Now, we was on hostage watch all
day Saturday. Harmas released three Me and all the Petty

(09:34):
shout out to all the Petty family in the Instagram
because what they kept on going in the comments saying
the time is now, this time, the time is out.
At that time said were trying to see who gonna
stand on business? Is gonna be Harmas, is gonna be Trump? Now,
this may not be an instant thing. Net and Yahoo
also the president of Israel also said that all hell
is about to break out. Basically, so we getting ready

(09:56):
to see guys, We're gonna see what it is. I'm
committed to take over Gaza and leveling it. He's been
very clear and they want those hostages released. So we're
just gonna continue to keep watching it guys and see
you know who's really gonna be standing on business and
who's not.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, let's gonna push the line.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, let's see gonna push I believe in the East
side of those what I call I believe they really
they really willing to die for the cause. So it's
gonna be an easy. Matter of fact, there was a
march over the weekend for got where was apologized. Guys,
I consume so much information, but there was millions of
people in the streets saying that they will not be
relocated in Gaza, the Palatines will not be relocated, and

(10:36):
they don't care what Trump is talking about. That they
willing to go to distance. So we don't continue to
keep watching, you know, what's going on in the Middle East,
because shit is about to jump off for sure over
there now. In America News, Mayor Eric Adams he just
having a time. You know. They dismissed his charges without
president a prejudice on last week, which means that they

(10:59):
can bring them back up on the charges again. But
as of today, his four deputy deputies said that you know,
they just gonna go ahead and resign. I'm gonna read
a little bit about it. Four New York deputy mayors
resigned from adams administration. Uh, this is just a big
damn mess. Y'all. Four deputy mayors Deputy mayors from Adams

(11:20):
administration confirm their resignation Monday because they could not fulfill
their oath of office. As they're being asked by Mayor
Eric Adams not to criticize President Donald Trump's administrations on policies,
they canfliicck with their work. According to the source for
MEI so ooh, so they basically saying, ooh, they tell them,
tell them they're saying Marcella's day. They're not gonna sit

(11:41):
in here and not talk about Trump. So that tells us.
Now I'm just guessing. I don't know this to be true,
but they tell us, you know, they were saying, well,
Mayor Eric Adams, Trump did that to, you know, to
get Mayor Adams on the side. So if that's true,
that's looking like that might be true. If Adams is
telling them, hey, we don't want you saying nothing about Trump,
and they said, not gonna do that. They gonna speak
up on what's right, and so they decided to get

(12:01):
on out.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Why not talking about your opponent, that's your opponent.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Yeah, but apparently it ain't because Trump the one legently, uh,
they got them to dismiss the charges. So that's not
this don't look like it is.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
It is the part of the same team.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
It look like they're on the same We're gonna find
out sooner later. This is really interesting, guys, that they
basically saying that this corruption going on.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yeah, especially if you want to resign. Mh.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
They said, uh that they tried to get them to
slow down. Uh, you know, just kind of hold up,
stand back and stand by, but they said no, we
ain't standing back and standing by. They said, were leaving.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
And that's it. That's all. I don't care if it
destabilize him or not. Uh. This says a lot for
deputy mayors leaving all At the same time, this said
a lot.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yes, I mean, I mean right, And I won't be
surprised if they start they if they started releasing some
more information.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Mmm. Looks like they're gonna be telling over there, guys.
And I'm just looking at this story as we're looking
at it in real time, because this is breaking news.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Mayor Adams said last week a couple of story last
week he said he don't lie, never will lie, and
all that. But I don't know Mayorp. Someday they watch you.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
They watch you, bro.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
So we're gonna see what that's looking like. I'm gonna
keep covering that story because it's just getting real juicy.
And I guess he said he running again for re election.
But I don't know, Mayor Adams don't look like they're
gonna re h re elect you.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
We don't. I don't think they're riding with you at
this point. Yeah, you're riders. They gone now right, m.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
And they said this, Rena said, this is too much
at state for our city in New York is to
allow us to continue. We have endured scandal, selfishness, and embarrassment,
all of which distract from the leadership the New York deserves.
This is the opposite of public service. Our city needs
a leader totally committed to protect the New Yorkers and
improving their lives. Now say Meanwhile, community leaders and clergy leaders,

(14:17):
along with support supporters of ATOMS gathered to show solidarity
for Adams. The mayor spoke with the event, defending himself
while saying that those who are calling for him to
resign are mistaken because he's not stepping down. He said,
I ignore the noise because I know we have accomplished
The mayor went on to say that there is inconsistency

(14:38):
in what his opponents are saying. They are trying to
rewrite my entire history with their own agenda.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
I thought he was ignoring the noise though, right, do
you see that's how you go. He may ain't losing
a Yeah, you know you run this sign because you
too much. You ignoring no you gotta address it. Yeah,
if everything you saying.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
It's true, they love it that they think ignoring it.
Just like I was telling somebody in the comments last weekend,
y'all love ignoring it. Y'all think ignoring it is the win,
and it ain't because that just allows your opponent to
get out there and say something different.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
So yeah, they basically knock you out.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Mm hm, well that's definitely what's happening, uh New York.
I don't know how he's gonna win the next election,
but we'll see. Meanwhile, Trump, they've been cutting everybody left
and right. I can't even keep up DHS cut four
hundred and five employees from the workforce. Now, I know

(15:39):
how you feel about this, Marcella. You want to know
they know what it is they got they did, but
this is a mess. They said a buck of the
cuts came from a federal emergency management agency, which saw
over two hundred people cut, and then Cybersecurity and Infrastructure
Security agents saw one hundred and thirty people cut. US

(16:01):
Citizenship and Immigration saw fifty people cut, DHS Science and
Technology cut ten people. I just don't so we got
a federal emergency right now, FEMA did all those cuts.
Now what they said twelve Coast Guard. This is just
a mess. Yeah, this is a mess. But they're claiming

(16:22):
that this is gonna save money. The statement they issue
said depart Today's Department of Home and Security personnel action
will result in roughly fifty million in savings for the
American taxpayer and cutting the red tape. Hey, so I

(16:43):
don't know. They said they have a work force of
two hundred and fifty two thousand in the twenty twenty
four budget, but said that it's totally unnecessary. Basically, we're
gonna see what all this looks like in the wash
in the long haul.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah. I got a friend he uh he works with IRIS,
and he was saying they sent them something about, you know,
potential cuts. They all got to come back in the
office now.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Well, I heard nothing about the IRIS. I'm like, what now, iris,
they're gonna get them too.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, and it's gonna be slowing down. You know you don't.
You're talking about people get these tax returns. That's gonna
slow that down too.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Turn in asaples. Look like anybody gonna built for their
Now another mess with them, be cusey. Trump administration tries
to bring back fired nuclear weapons workers. They done accidentally
fired the people that do the new nuclear weapon. Now,
this is a mess. They fired all of them, but
then they said they didn't have the contact information to
good and bring them back.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Oh man. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Three hundred and fifty employees at the Nationalnoklear System Administration
were abruptly laid off on Thursday, with some losing access
to email before they learned they were fired, only to
try to enter their offices on Friday morning to find
they were locked out. This is just ridiculous, Like even
the way they letting them go, Like what is all
it's about? You can't just let people know you're just

(18:07):
taking them out the email abruptly screwing up people's lives.
It just don't make no sense, Like let people go,
give them some notice, tell them we're doing something else,
but to just go into the email, can't get an email.
This is just ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Well, he, like we had said before, he was gonna
make the news every day so far has been true.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Day. Every day, hundreds were let go. The target about
two thousand employees, they said the Dodge, which is a
department of efficiency they created, are coming in with absolutely
no knowledge of what these departments are possible responsible for,
said Darryl Kimball, executive director of Arms Association Control Reference

(18:50):
and Elon Musk's Department of Governor Efficiency. They don't seem
to realize that it's actually the Department of Nuclear Weapons
more than it is a Department of Energy. But late
Friday night, the agency's acting director, Teresa Robbins, issued a
menu a memo rescinding the firings for all but twenty
eight of those hundreds of fire staff members.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Mm hmmm, ain't nothing to say next thing. You know,
it's gonna be a Department of labor. He ain't gonna
see They're gonna get everybody.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
This is a mess y'all. So hey, you know, I
found some interest in data. The majority of people employed
by the federal government are white folks. But I know
people say, you know, oh, we're gonna sit around, We're
gonna f around and find out I'm mine of my business.
Black people losing their job to y'all. Yeah, this ain't
just on no white folks. You know, people losing their

(19:46):
job left and right.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yeah, and we also seen more crime. Now this is crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
And then the price of eggs ain't been what's going
on with the price eggs? What y'all said, y'all voted
for the and so we're still waiting on that. Yeah,
but Trump say this is gonna help with the long term.
So I guess we'll see. We'll see if it's gonna
help with the long term or not. But right now,
buckle up, brace yourself. It's a mass. I got a

(20:16):
friend that works for the government. I check on him
every day just to kind of see, you know, because
he works from home. The commuter is so long, it's
like an hour in and he's able to be you know,
with his children and things like that. And he said,
people are just suggested. And he told me that they're
getting satellite offices for those who are fifty miles away,

(20:38):
you know, at least fifty miles away, and then the
other ones, you know, they're bringing back and people just
you know, kind of make an adjustment. So guys, we're
gonna see how it all play out in the wash.
You know, maybe maybe you do make a difference. Maybe
the waste is gonna make a difference. I don't know
how the American people are gonna see it in their hands,
you know, the tangible difference, But I do know these
people losing their job are absolutely gonna see the difference.
A lot of people to work in government sectors, Marcelle's,

(21:00):
they don't transition in the civilian world because the jobs
are so governmental specialized. You know, like you worked on
nuclear where else do you go work? You know, it's
not like there's other jobs that have those transferable skills.
So this is just kind of very very interesting. Guys,
y'all better do like I've been telling you. You better
buckle down in your local community. You better partner up

(21:22):
with other folks, rent parties, shacking up, get rent from
Mark Philla's don't want know with me, but he better
start a little so you'd have to get real crazy
end of that before we get out of here. Guys,
make sure my town hall that's exactly what we're gonna
be talking about in Atlanta, March thirtieth, Sunday, Bankhead Seafood.

(21:43):
This is truly the we All we Got program are
selling like literally, even if it's just a hundred people
in the room, one hundred people in the room, we
got to have each other back. If doesn't mean a
rent party, if that means somebody may need a job,
if that mean somebody need a babysitter. It it has
got to get down to that level of micro organizing.
That's you know, the trying to save everybody in Atlanta,

(22:05):
trying to save black people all over the country, trying
to save everybody in Georgia. I can't do that myselves.
I'm just one people, one person. So our bowl is
try to get people in the room so at least
we can have each other's back. It's really just that
simple to kick and sup forty five dollars you getting
weigh you know, a lot for your money. I got
two comedians that are coming in because we do need
some comic relief, you know, laugh about something, have some

(22:28):
type of comic relate. Trying to also support them to
put money in their pocket. It's bigger than just you know,
all coming in the com you know what I'm saying, like,
we gotta take care of each other's put money pocket,
Put money in the DJ pocket, order some food, so
bankhad seafood. Can you know, be in business, you know,
try to support each other. I'm giving everybody a free shot,

(22:48):
you know, straight shot, no chaser, free shot. I won't
be making probably no profit out of it, just trying
to break even. You know, pay the people pay you
pay Jade pay shall be for helping, you know. Let's
just try to circle this around, guys and try to
pay it forward as much as we possibly can, so
that forty dollars ticket is gonna go about six to

(23:10):
seven different ways.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
You know.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
I'm just being as you know, as I can be
with it. Yeah, ain't no other to say it, you know,
And if we can do bad and just try to
keep something. It's hard to have a business. It's hard
to can't just as soon because Mike and Tip you know,
are millionaires that that it don't cost running a restaurant.
It's actually one of the worst things they tell you
to do. It's the most unprofitable thing to do, you know,

(23:33):
it doesn't you waste a whole lot of money. Food
go bad, you know, h ingredients go bad and people
ain't buying it. So I just want to do my
part while I'm in Atlanta to try to support guys.
So please get a ticket to that. Do not wait
till last minute. The seating is very limited, so you
don't ticket ahead of time, you just won't be getting
in because they literally don't have the space.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Hell yeah, shout out to kill Mike and ties.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
That out to them. We're just trying to Hey, we're
gonna keep Atlanta popping and we can't do nothing else.
So everybody gets been star moving to Atlanta, but they
said don't move because it's.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Full soft here.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
I'm gonna do our part, So thank everybody. Thank you

I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
