Speaker 1 (00:00):
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he
shall bless thy bread and thy water, and I will
take sickness away from the midst of thee Exodus twenty three,
twenty five. Dear God, thank you for creating a purpose
for my life. I lift my soul to you and
ask that you would bless me to day. Fill my

(00:22):
heart with the gladness of your presence. I pray that
my life would glorify you in every way. Help me
always to be thankful for the people that you have
placed into my life. Allow my heart to be full
of your light and love. May the guidance and appreciation
that I have for the people in my life always

(00:42):
be shown through my words and actions.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Amen.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
You know, long before COVID, there seemed to be an
epidemic of sickness and disease.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
In the world, even among Christians.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
In fact, I would dare say most people in this
room are dealing with some level of sickness or some
level of disease in their body and that's not God's
will for you. God's will is not that you are sick.
God's will is not that you're dealing with pain every day.
God's will is not that you're taking medicine, that you're

(01:55):
paying medical bills, that you have that experience. God's will
is that you live a life free from sickness, a
life free from pain. And so in this series, we're
gonna help you experience that. Anybody ready for that?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Amen?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
So so we're gonna start in Isaiah chapter fifty three,
turn neighbor to ask them, are you ready for no
more pain? Ask somebody else? Are you ready to be
paining free? Ask somebody else? Are you ready to be
paid free? Fire a warmer person, tell them that you're
in the right place. Come on, now, you're in the

(02:37):
right place. Come on, it's good for you to be
in this place. Is it's better for you to be
here than in the best hospital in the city Detroit
right now? And some of you getting that already, some
of you, we're gonna get you there. You're gonna see
that as we get into this. So Isaiah fifty three,
verse four. This is, of course Isaiah prophesying about what

(02:58):
would happen to Jesus.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
What's very interesting.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
About this prophecy is that he kind of goes not
only up to the event, but he kind of goes
past the event and then looks back as though it
had already happened.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
So I won't reverse three to you.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
But he talks about how he was despised and rejected
of men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. We
hid our face from him. So it's talking about Jesus
on the cross. But then in verse four he says,
surely that's a big word right there.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
This is a fact he has borne our griefs.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses, and carried our sorrows and pains.
Somebody say pains of punishment. Now notice he says, surely
this is the fact Jesus has.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Borne our griefs. Now, the word born.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
There literally means to lift up, to carry away. So
he's sayg that when Jesus was on the cross, he
was actually lifting something up. He was carrying away something
from us, and what he was carrying away was our griefs.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
And of course the Greek word excuse me.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
The Old Testament is translated from the Hebrew the Hebrew
word translated griefs it means malady, and it's also translated
in scripture almost every time sickness or disease. So he's
saying that when Jesus was on the cross, he actually
bore our sicknesses.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
He actually picked those up and carried them away.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
And not only did he carry our sicknesses, but he
also carried our pains. So when he was on the cross,
he bore our sickness and our pain. As we talked
about last week, he chose to take our place, to
become our substitute. You know, a substitute teacher comes into

(05:03):
a classroom and takes the place of the teacher that
would normally be there. They do the work the teacher
would normally do.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Well. Jesus knew that normally we would deal with.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Sickness and pain in this life, so he decided to
be the substitute and carry the sickness and pain for us,
and in doing that, he took it away from us.
And notice how he says he carried not just some
of our sickness and some of our pains, not just
our minor sicknesses or our minor pains. The idea here

(05:36):
is he bore all of our sicknesses, which means there
are no leftovers. Come on, that's how some of us
eat at Thanksgiving, right, we eat it all.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
There are no leftovers.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
When Jesus bore all of our sickness, he bore all
of our pain. In fact, the Bible talks about it
in Deuteronomy, chapter seven and verse fifteen, even under the
old covenant, that God would take away from his people
all sickness and all disease. So this is not something
that God only halfheartedly. Did.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
He sent Jesus to bury it all.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Somebody say, all once again, if he bore it away,
that means that sickness and disease don't belong to us anymore.
That means that healing now belongs to us. To help
you with this, and I won't reach it. Take you
to the scripture for time's sake, But if you were
to jump down to chapter to verse twelve, I'm sorry.

(06:28):
In this chapter you'll find that the Bible is set there.
He bore our sin, and the Hebrew word for bore
there is the same word that born that we.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Just finished reading.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
So when Jesus went to the cross, he took on
our sin. Right because he took on our sin. We
can be right before God. We can be a part
of God's family. Heaven can be our home. There's any
Christian in here believe that. I mean every Bible believing
church in the world believes that. Well, at the same

(07:06):
time he bore your sin, he also bore your sickness.
Just like you can be sin free and our sin
free before God. Because Jesus bore your sin, you also
can be in our sick free pain free before God
because Jesus bore your pain. It was the same exchange.

(07:31):
It was the same event. He chose to be our
escape goat. Now many of us are familiar with that statement,
that phrase, but we may not know where it came from.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
And actually in the Bible, one of.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
The things that God had Israel do before Jesus came
to take care of their sin was that he would
have them literally take a spotless goat. He'd have the
high priest lay his hands on the goat, symbolizing that
all the sin of Israel we're now being placed on
that goat. Then he would send the goat into the wilderness,

(08:05):
and then the judgment for that sin will fall on
the goat because sin deserves judgment. The Bible says the
paycheck for sin is death. So what God would do
is instead of judging the people and them dying because
of their sin, being sick and dying, he would judge
the goat. The goat became the scape goat. You know,

(08:25):
in sports we see this sometimes, you seeing it right
now in the NBA. You'll have a team that doesn't
do as well as they shouldn't do and it could
be many many, there could be many reasons why that is.
But they fire the coach. You know, we're gonna watch
this with the Brooklyn Nets.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Mark my words. My man is gonna be fired.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
In about a week. But it's not all his fault.
Let me not get into sports, but it's what happened. Well,
they're gonna say all of this is your fault. You
deal with the punishment, and they will all be free
of it.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Well, you know, in the natural, that's not fair.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
It's not fair to the goat, it's not fair to
the coach, and it wasn't fair to Jesus.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
But Jesus chose it. He said, I'm signing up for it.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
I loved them so much that I don't want them
to ever have to deal with sin again. I love
them so much. I don't want them to ever have
to deal with pain again. So put it on me God,
I will carry it on the cross so they don't
have to.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
And he got the job done.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
That's what we finished talking about, just talked about last week. Right,
we keep reading here, he says, Yet we ignorantly.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
In fact, I'll just read the whole scripture.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Surely he is born our griefs our sickness, is weaknesses
and distresses, and carried our sorrows and pains of punishment.
And as we just finished saying, yet we ignorantly considered
him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God as with leprosy.
They thought God was doing this to him. But he
was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our

(09:57):
guilts and iniquities. Listen, if you believe Jesus bore your sins,
you should believe he bore your pain.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Right, he bore our sickness, He bore our iniquities.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
The chastisement needful to obtain peace and well being for
us was on him. And with the stripes that wounded him,
we are healed and made whole. I like how that
word healed their means to mend, to cure. So we
are cured. Some might say, I'm cured. We will say

(10:30):
that again. That sounds good, I'm cured. Think about whatever
that is. A doctor says, you couldn't be cured of
whatever that pain is in your body.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Say it again, I'm cured. I'm cured. I don't have
it no more. Come on now, I'm cured to that
because Jesus bored for me. How did we get to
this place with his stripes? We are cured.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
You jumped down to Matthew chapter twenty seven. We can
go to Matthew twenty seven. We can take a look
at him burying those stripes. It says, so Pilot released
Barabus to them the Great Exchange, and he ordered Jesus
flogged with a lead tipped whip and then turn them
over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified. You know,

(11:16):
we just read the chastisement of our piece was on him.
That's the beating right here, we reading about that actual beating.
Jesus was whipped with something called a cat and nine tails.
And I looked it up again today and it's described
as a cruel whipping. Contraption whose lashes were often tipped
with metal or barbs. So it was bad enough when

(11:38):
you were being whipped with the cat of nine tails,
but what's worse was they were literally putting metal or
barbs at the end, so that when it hits your back,
it not only cuts you, but it pulled your skin out,
pulled some of your flesh out. And history says that
when people were flogged in this way, they were flogged
thirty nine times.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Why thirty nine times.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Because they believed that if you did it forty times,
you would kill the person, so they decided forty minus one.
Now what's really amazing is that it's been said that
there are thirty nine roots to sickness and disease in
the world. So every time he took a hit, he
dealt with one.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Of those roots.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
And this is what the Word of God is telling
us here, that he actually bore those stripes and actually
wrote this down one day as I was meditating on this,
I wrote down the fact that just like every stripe
took chunks of flesh out of Jesus' back, every stripe
took sickness out of my body. Come on, just as

(12:44):
sure as he bore the pain of the stripes, I
can enjoy the pleasure of health. This is what Jesus
was doing on the whipping post and on the cross.
Jesus bore yours and your pain. And just like in
God's eyes, you are sin free if you chosen to

(13:06):
follow him. In his eyes, you are pain free as well.
Somebody say I'm cured, somebody say I'm pain free. All right,
let's go to first Peter, chapter two. I like something
ff Bosworth said. He said, all that Jesus did in
his substitutionary work is the private property of the individual
for whom Jesus did. It is your own private property.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
What is healing? You are cured?

Speaker 3 (13:35):
One Peter two twenty four, who himself bore our sins
in his own body?

Speaker 2 (13:42):
You know what? That sounds familiar, doesn't it.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Peter is looking back at the crosses after Jesus died
and rose again, and he's talking about what happened. He
bore his sins, our sins in his body. Well, how
do you do that by bearing the punishment of our sins?

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Right? The punishment for sin is sickness, disease, and death.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
So he bore it in our body once again, he
bore our sickness. He bore our pains, that we, having
died to sins, might live for righteousness. By who stripes
you were healed, By who strives you were healed.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
You know, as I read this scripture sometimes.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Because understanding that sin is the root and sickness is
the fruit, I like to take the word sin in
this scripture and replace it with sickness, because as actually
doctrinally accurate. Let me read this again, who himself bore
our sicknesses in his own body on the tree, that we,

(14:49):
having died to sickness, might live for health. Come on,
did you see that he bore our sicknesses? So since
we're dead to sickness, we're like dead man. You know,
when a dead man is laid up in a a
not a tune, but of course on a casket, that
dead man doesn't have to worry about being sick.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Dead man can't get sick. Dead men don't feel pain.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
And of course we're talking about about somebody that's chosen
to follow Jesus. We know what they're feeling. It's just
pleasure and joy unspeakable in heaven. But a dead body
can't get sick and God's saying I made you dead
to sickness. I made you dead to pain. I'm preaching
better than y'all saying amen today. But you're gonna get this.
So are we gonna talk about this for a while
because you need to get this. This will change your

(15:39):
life forever. Your sick days are over, your pain feel
days are over. Satan will no longer reign in this area,
in my life or your life. In the name of Jesus,
Come on, We're gonna make the devil paid this morning.
We're gonna make him pay for every single pain he
put in our bodies, our children's bodies, every type of

(16:00):
way he's attacked us. He will pay today and over
the next four or five weeks, we are cured. We
are paid free, and we'll stay.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Like that all the days of our lives. Come on,
say it. I'll never be sick another day in my life.
Come on, by whose stripes? I like this? You worry? Hell?

(16:30):
So he did it for you. He did his thinking.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
About your future. And when did he do it on
that cross? How did he do it? It was by
his stripes. In fact, when I was reading this off
the when I meditated on this, because this is one
of those, because I look at every day when I'm
brushing my teeth, and so it says by his stripes
the king jeans versus ye worry hell. So I literally

(16:56):
wrote to my Bible and I remind myself, ye means
me and we.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
But what I've really.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Been focusing on is this last word healed. And I
looked it up again, and it means to be cured.
Somebody said again, I'm cured. So according to the scripture,
you and I were cured two thousand years ago. You know,

(17:28):
if you were healed, that means it already happens that
day in history, that day that is documented.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
When Jesus bore our strikes and he was crucified on
that cross. That day. We were cured. That day. We
were healed.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
And I like something fred Price used to say, if
I were healed, then I is healed.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That may not be good English, but you get it.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Come on, if you were healed, then you is healed
and you will forever be healed.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
And that's how God sees this.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Glatian three thirteen says Christ has redeemed us. That's past
tense from the curse of the law. What's the curse
of the Law include every kind of sickness and every
kind of disease in the planet.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Christ has already set us free from it.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
And Joshua chapter six really helps you see how God
sees the situation you're in right now. He says, now
Jericho will securely shut up because of the children of Israel.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
You remember this story.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
God told Israel, I want you to take the promised
land that got to the city of Jericho. Jericho had
huge walls around it that were impenetrable, and so when
Israel approached Jericho, the people shut.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
The city up. There was no way you were gonna
get in it.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
And yet God says to Joshua, and the Lord said
to Joshua, see, I have given Jericho into your hands.
It's king, and the mighty men of our God saw
it as already handled because as far as he was concerned,
it was. And God is looking at you right now,

(19:08):
even if you have pain in your body, even if
you got sickness in your body, even if it looks
impossible and they say you will never ever be able
to do this or that or the other. Again, God's
looking at you and saying, see, I've already given you
healing already put it on Jesus already had him take
care of it. See, you are already healed. And if
you already healed, that means you have no more pain.

(19:30):
Come on, now, say it again.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
I'm cured. In Jesus' name. You are cured. And see,
part of the thing we've got to get a hold
of is we've.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Got to stop focusing on what we see and what
we feel and start to just say what God says
is truth.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
As long as you focus on your regular.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Census, then you're never gonna get to the place of
faith that you need to get you.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
But when you step into the sixth.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Sense, when you get into a place of faith where
you say it doesn't matter what I see, it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Matter how I feel.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
God said it, so it must be so, and everything
something else is a lying symptom, then you will feel
the healing power of God flow in your body and
you'll say, I'm paying free, I'm cure. So say it
like you believe what God said is so, I'm cured.

(20:17):
Come on, Saintsan deals in deception. He likes to put
things in front of you that aren't true. Those symptoms
in your body are lying symptoms that doesn't belong to you.
Stop calling it your issue, your allergies, your cancer that

(20:37):
ain't yours.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Jesus boring is your health, your healing. Come on now,
your future. That's what you need to say.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Stop agreeing with the devil and start agreeing with God.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
You are cured, you are healed. Now, come on. This
is the gospel. This is the gospel. This is good news.
He bore your sin, he bore your sickness. Acts Chapter fourteen.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Paul and Barnabas are going about preaching the word of God,
and they go to a city called Listra, and it
says here and there they preached the good news.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
They preached the gospel, or we just finished saying.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
This is part of the gospel, right as Aed fifty
three is the gospel one Peter two twenty four. He
bore your sin, he bore your sickness, all of it.
So they're preaching the gospel, including what we just finished saying.
And we know that because of what happens next. While
they were at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas came upon a

(21:51):
man with crippled feet. He had been that way from birth,
so he had never.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Walked so he was literally born with crippled feet. So
he came out with his feet not right.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
He was sitting and listening as Paul priest just like
you guys are doing right now, and looking straight at him.
Paul realized, I believe the King James Virgin says, he perceived.
In other words, it wasn't something he could see with
his eyes, he was able to recognize in his spirit.

(22:32):
God pointed out to him that he had noticed this
faith to be healed.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
So Paul called to him in a loud voice, stand up,
and the man jumped to his feet and started walking.
I mean, no, that's a miracle.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
This man had never walked, and out he's walking. And
we also know it's a miracle because of what happened next.
If you're to keep reading this, you find the people
lost it.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
They were like, the.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Gods have come down to us, and they went and
got a priest and they were about to sacrifice to
Paul and Barner business. Paul and Barnabus ran in there,
like what are y'all doing? We're not God, He's God,
but this miracle was. I mean, come on, if you
saw that and you don't know nothing about God and
you've seen this guy's whole life and all of a
sudden he just jumps up and he's healed.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
That will get your attention. Your whole life changed right
in front of your eyes. It was a miracle. And
what's really wild about this was that this man was healed.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Just hearing preaching, just like you can be healed today
just hearing this preaching.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Come on now, God's word is medicine. We're gonna come
back to that.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Why was this man healed and no one else He
couldn't have been the.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Only person there that has sickness or disease.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
You can go to any crowd anywhere and somebody has
something going on their body.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Why this man he had what.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Faith to be healed. We just finished talking about trust issues.
Right when you have faith, you're trusting God with all
your heart. You all you're just saying, I completely and
totally believe what I've heard. Jesus bore my sickness. That's
a Paul's preaching. Jesus bore my pain. He did that
on the cross. Healing belongs to me, and he got that.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
He I believed that.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Paul saw and said jump up on your feet, and
the man was healed. And what's really wild for those
of you that a little deeper in the things of
God was the man had faith to be healed, but
was still sitting there sick. Why because he needed a
little help to release his faith. Because sometimes it's not
good enough to believe, but you got to act on it.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
So God had Paul.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Use his faith and boldly declare in front of everybody,
get up on your feet to a cripple man. I
meanna take faith if I'm Paul, Because if I say
that to a crippled man, he can't get up on
his feet. My message is over and they running me
out of town. But Paul believed too. He was used
as a mediator to tell the man how to release

(25:23):
his faith. And if you look at Jesus' ministry, the
majority of the people that were healed in Jesus' ministry
were healed in that way, like the man who came
to church like this, and Jesus said, stretch forth your hand,
and the man had to act in faith.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
But when he did it, bam, his hand was healed.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
So sometimes what God will do is he'll have somebody
lay hands on you or give you instruction by the
Holy spirit, and if you'll do what it said, then
you'll see your healing. How about Naimen, He came to
see the Man of God to be healed of leprosy,
the Bible said, And the Man of God didn't even
go see him. He just sent a word. He said,
go dip in the Jordan River seven times. And Ayama

(26:02):
didn't want to do that because he was looking for
something spectacular, but somebody talked him into looking for the supernatural.
So he went and he got down and he dipped
in the seven rivers, and as he obeyed God, he
was healed. We heard the story from Michelle during our video.
You know what led to her healing? The Holy Ghost said,
do the trial. Somebody by said, well she got healed

(26:23):
by the trial. No, she got healed because God told
her this is the way you gonna get healed.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
And she acted on what God said, and now she's
been healed.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
I'm getting a little deeper than I shouldn't be geting
right now, but I'm gonna throw that out there for somebody,
because for somebody, you need to be used as a mediator.
God is well beyond you just getting your healing. It's
time you to help other people get their healing. In fact,
really that's what FX church should be all about, going
all over the city of Detroit and those who are online,
going all over this country in this world, and making

(26:53):
a mark by helping others experience their healing. Jesus bought
for them, but caused this man to be he had
faith to be healed. There's a story in Luke chapter
five where Jesus is sitting in a room preaching, and
the Bible says, the power of the Lord was present
to heal them. God doesn't waste power while was healing

(27:15):
power in the room because somebody needed it and none.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
Of them got it.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
The only person that got healed that day was a
man whose friends carried him on what we would call
a stretcher today and went up to the roof of
the house, broke up the roof and let the man down.
And the Bible says, when Jesus saw there was faith,
he said to the man, get up on your feet.
There's some things that happened, but bottom line is.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
The man was healed. See, believing this message that I'm
preaching right now will produce a pain free life for you.
Just this message, because this is the gospel. You know
this story in March.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
I have to find this reader for a moment. Let
me show you one more woman in the crowd Mark
five twenty five. Woman in the crowd has suffered for
twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great
deal from many doctors, and over the years she had
spent everything she had to pay them, but she had
gotten no better.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
In fact, she had gotten worse.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind
him through the crowd and touched his role For she
thought or had really studied multiple translations. As she said,
if I can just touch his cold his robe, I
will be healed. Immediately, the bleeding stopped and she could
fill in her body. She had been healed of her
terrible condition. Jesus realized at once that healing power had

(28:37):
gone out from him, so he turned around in the
crowd and asked, who touched my robe? All these people
are touching his rope right, The disciple said to him,
look at this crowd pressing you. How can you ask
who touched me? But he kept on looking around to
see who had done it. There must have been something
different about this touch. Then the frightened woman, trembling at
the realization of what had happened. Her came and fell
to her k needs in front of him and told

(28:58):
him what she had done. And he said to her, daughter,
your faith has made you well. Go in peace, Your
suffering is over. She touched him with a touch of faith.
And many people would believe that if Jesus were here
today and he walked in this room, that if you
could just touch him, you'd be healed. But the fact

(29:19):
of the matter is he's not only in the room today.
When Jesus rose again and the Holy Spirit was poured
out into the earth, that power was made available anywhere
in the world. You could be in a cave in
Afghanistan right now and access the power of God, just
like Jesus was there. But you must touch that power

(29:44):
with the touch of faith. The Holy Spirit is in
this room right now. You've just got to make a
decision to believe the gospel. You know, if everybody's phone
in this room, for whatever reason, just died, every one
of us forgot the charge it last night, every one

(30:06):
of us. The only people in the room who would
ever see their phone revive would be the ones that
found the charger. I'm sorry, found an outlet, grab the
charger and plugged it in. Now, electricity is all throughout
the building, right It was here before we came.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
It'll be here till Jesus come back, right.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
But just because it's electricity in the building doesn't mean
you'll get a charge.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
You got to plug in.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
The power of God is present right now, and it
shows up even heavier when.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
It's talked about, and it's in this room right now.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
But you need to use your charger, your faith to
get it from the atmosphere into your body. So you
are experiencing what Jesus already bought for you.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Somebody said, again I'm cured, But again I'm cured, all right.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
So number twenty one, and I get what you're saying, Pastor,
I'm already he healing already belongs to me. I've got
to just get to that place of faith so I
can experience that, I can feel that. How do I
do that? It's not hard, Honestly, what you're doing right now.

(31:27):
Faith is rising in this place right now. It's not
hard to get faith. Part of the challenge people have
is they won't open their hearts.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
So that guy he heard Paul preaching. You know Paul
his first time.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Paul showed up in this city and he heard that
gospel and he had an open heart toward it.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
It's like, okay, I'm game.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
I think you're talking about I choose to believe that
faith came, healing came.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
It's not hard.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
But sometimes we do find ourselves in a bit of
a faith fight.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Where it's not you know, we're.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Struggling too fully believe to trust with all our heart
that I'm already cured, I'm already healed, that this these
symptoms they're gone.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
This is this is a mirage.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
Sometimes we struggle again, how do I break through that?
When number twenty one, there's a story where Israel, of
course is in the wilderness and God has given them
some miracles, but then they're also having some challenges and
they begin to speak against God and against their leadership

(32:43):
and begin to complain. And they're speaking against their leadership,
and their complaining opened the door to a major attack.
And so the Bible says that what happened was poisonous
serpents guiding among the people, and they were biting the people,
and people were dying on the spot. People were dying,

(33:04):
and so you've got this. This is a disaster. And
so finally the people run to Moses and they say,
we have sinned before God. You see against sin leads
to sickness. We sin before God. Please ask God to
forgive us and do something about this, because this was rare.
And to tell you how amazing God is, they lived
in the wilderness for forty years and there were only

(33:25):
a few instances like this. You would think if you
were in the wilderness living there, that people would be
getting picked off all the time, lions and tigers and bears,
oh mine, right, But that wasn't happening because God protected them,
said He took sickness away from the midst of them.
When they walked out of Egypt after having partaken up
with just represented Jesus right the lamb and putting blood

(33:50):
on their doorposts, the Bible says they walked out there
was not one sick person among them. And as they
walked through the wilderness all those years, the Bible said,
their feet didn't even get sore.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
That's how much God protected them.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Nobody ever got sick unless they did stuff like this.
That's when they would get sick. And then God would
heal them. And in this case, the Bible says, in fact,
we'll reverse six. And the Lord said, if you look
at the original Hebrew, it would be allowed fiery serpents
among the people. And they bit the people, and much

(34:24):
people of Israel died. Therefore, the people came to Moses
and said, we have sinned. We have spoken against the
Lord and against thee. Pray unto the Lord that he
take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for
the people, and the Lord said, funny, how that works.
You pray and God speaks, don't pray, you don't hear them.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Notice, once again God gave instruction that led to healing.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole,
and it shall come to pass that everyone that is
bitten when he looketh upon it shall live.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Now, why a fiery serpent and why on a pole?

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Because that fiery serpent represented sin. That it was a
brass serpent, so it represented sin and judgment. So that's
sickness and disease. That's sin and sickness and disease. That's
what Jesus born across right on a pole. Well, is
that what Jesus did right. He bore our sin and
our sickness on.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
A pole, on a tree, on a cross. So this was.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
Actually what would commonly be called a type of Christ,
something that points to what Jesus was going to do.
So God, he was making a point here he's literally
talking to them, fixing their problem, but at the same
time he's talking to us.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
And showing us.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
If you've been bitten, the answers on the cross, look
to the cross. So he tells them, here, man, take
the serpent, and and and and that represents Jesus on
a cross. Put it up, and that and everyone. This
is for anybody who wants it. Everyone that is bitten.

(36:12):
When he looketh on it shall live. This bite was
killing people, but a mirror look at what represented Jesus.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
Would heal them? That venom going through their bodies?

Speaker 3 (36:33):
It was, it was paralyzing them, it was it was
stopping their hearts. And yet just a look would heal them?
Pastor you don't know what I'm dealing with. I know
I may not know what it is. I know how
how how horrible sin, sickness can be, how pain could be.
But I'm here to tell you a look can heal you?

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Look at what pastor let me read this.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
When God said this, he says, God was teaching the
people something about faith. It is totally illogical to think
that looking at a bronze image could heal anyone from
snake bite, but that is exactly what God told them
to do.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Someone else said.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
There was nothing more that could be done or added
in either case. There were no home remedies. There was
no snake bite antidotes or helps from others that would
cure in Israelite, only that he or she would look
upon the serpent on a pole. It was by faith
alone and obeying God's instruction that someone would be healed.

(37:31):
So these people are getting bit and they're dying, and
God is saying I want you to trust me enough
to believe that if you just look at this that
represents Jesus, you will be healed. And anybody who did
it was if you were to keep reading. That's exactly
what happened in verse nine and verse ten, and talked
to the Bible talks about how everybody that was bit

(37:52):
when they would behold it, we're healed. And now let's
talk about this look. Because they were healed while they
were looking at what represented the cross.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Get that.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
The word look here means to gaze at. It's not
a passing look. The word behold in the next scripture
it means to look intently at.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
So the idea here is not you know.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
You know sometimes we talk to the fellas, we say, man,
when you know you're married, you got a wife, and
and and you know she some some fine.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Woman walks by. What do you have to do?

Speaker 3 (38:41):
You got to bounce your eyes. I didn't get one ad,
not a male amen, not a female amen, not a
grandmama saying that's right, preaching nothing.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
You gotta treat it like a hot stove out that's hot.
Let me move my hand right. You gotta bounce your
eyes that kind of look. Is that?

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Doing that will save you from a bunch of things,
including your wife killing you. But your wife you can
gaze at all you want. That's why God gave you your wife.
Which is why ladies, it's okay for him to look
at your lingerie. Give him something to look at all

(39:28):
the time. Oh see, how y'all gonna make me preach
a whole other message. That's part of what the gift
you are to him. There's a difference between just kind
of touching and looking and a gazing keep my eyes
on this. What happens nowadays is when we want healing,

(39:51):
we like to do this. Look, I'm a look at
the scripture real fast. I'm gonna hear a good message.
And then when it comes to our sickness, we do this. Look.
We investigated. We are experts. We might as well have
MD behind our name. We know every detail, every symptom,

(40:12):
every this you know. And I don't say it to
be mean, because that is hard. It's hard to not
do that. It's the fight of faith. But in this moment,
when their lives were on the line, they had to

(40:32):
look at that surpent. They felt the bite, but I
had to focus on the serpent. They could feel the
venom going up their arms, but they had to focus
on the serpent.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
They could feel the going on their net.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
They came around the earth, but they had to focus
because if they took their eyes.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Off that serpent, they were gonna die. But if they
kept their eyes on that serpent, they were gonna live.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Well, I'm here to tell you I don't know what's
going on in your body today, but I want you
to know that even though you might feel it. Though
people might tell you about it, even though the doctor
may say something to you about it, you cannot afford
to just glance at the cross. You got to stare
at the cross. You got to look at the fact
he bore my sickness. I know I feel it, but
he bore my pain.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
I'm sneezing.

Speaker 3 (41:15):
He he took every pain I ever had by his tris.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
I am heal. I can imagine some loved ones.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
Seeing one of their family members of a son or
a daughter, or a brother, a father, get bit and
and they're, ah, what are they saying?

Speaker 5 (41:36):
Look at the cross? Look look at it, Look at it,
look at it.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
They're desperate. They don't want them to die.

Speaker 5 (41:41):
Look at it. Come on, stop, look at it. There
then no there. And that's what God has me saying
to you today. Look at him. Look at him. Look
at him. Look at him, Look at him. Look at him.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
He bore your sickness, He bore your pain by his trys.
You are he Stop looking everything else, look at him.
Remember this story from Kenneth Hagen, and he was a

(42:16):
man who was healed of a couple of incurable diseases.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
As a teenager.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
One of them was a heart disease, and so he
said years later, you know, he's now preaching the gospel
and he's married and all of that. And he said,
he fell these really bad heart symptoms coming again, and
he recognized him because he had it.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
He knew what was happening.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
And he said it kept coming on him like a
couple of nights in a row. So he was doing
what he knew to do. So he would, you know,
he said, no, I rebuked that, and about eleven twenty four,
So when you pray, believe you receive, you should have it.
I asked for healing his father. I think I'm healed
in Jesus name. And then he would, you know, it
would give him some relief. He'd go to sleep, said
and particularly on his last night, and then it wake

(43:02):
him up again. So he'd do it again, and it
wake him up again, and he'd do it again and
it wake him up again. And he said, you know,
at this point, he's getting frustrated, starting to think, should
I called a doctor? Should I should I wake up
my wife? Should I should? I don't to go to
the hospital, wanting and he said he heard and here
the Holy Spirit say, consider not, consider not and which

(43:24):
means ignore the ignore it, ignore the pain, ignore the pain.
And so he's like, okay, So he started to try
to do that, and he will wake him up again.
He started to try to do that and wake him
up again, and then the Holy Spirit will say, consider not,
consider not. And then he finally said, I'm trying to
consider not. I'm doing everything I can. And then the
Holy Spirit said consider him and he said, that's when

(43:46):
it got the victory. At that point, symptoms were gone.
He lived into his I don't know, middle mid eighties
at forty fifty years later because he stopped focusing on
it and he started focusing on the fact that Jesus
bore his sickness and his pain on the cross, that
by his stripes he was healed. So I got a

(44:15):
challenge for you today. I want to go to Proverbs
chapter four. I wasn't kidding when I said, we want
to end pain in this place. We want to end
sickness in this place.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
And here's how we do it. Here's how we keep
looking at what Jesus did on the cross.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
Proverbs four twenty says, my son, give attention to my words.
Somebody say words and cline you r get this. Ear
to my sayings, do not let that, Do not let
them depart. And there's some intensity in that. Don't take

(44:59):
your eyes, eyes off of it. Don't let it depart
from your eyes, so ears eyes, keep them. There's intensity again,
keep it there. It's gonna be a fight. Say, he's
gonna try to dig this up. No, but you got
to keep my words. Not on the edge of your heart,

(45:21):
in the midst of your heart, so ears eyes and
the real you the inside. Why for they are life.
Not to everybody who hears it. Everybody hears this message

(45:42):
gonna walk out of her heel. They're life to those
who find them. If I find it, that means I
was seeking. If I'm seeking, it has my full attention.
If you lost your cell phone, you would figure out
what the biable term for means.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
You be like, oh, I'm seeking.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
Right, This is seeking now right, That's what you're supposed
to do when it comes to the God's word in
this area.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
You're seeking to get.

Speaker 3 (46:14):
Revelation for the light to come on when you see
on the inside I am cured, and to keep that light.
So it says, keep it in the mishair, because some
of us we get that light. We've got some of
it today, but by the time we get home, it's
gone because Satan. As soon as you hear me, I
can tell you, as I started to prepare for this,
the last two weeks I have been under physical attack,

(46:38):
and I said more than once, this is. This is
because of what I'm about to preach. Satan will come
and attack you to try to get that word out
of your heart so you can say, oh.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
That must not be true, that can't be No, no, no, no,
he says. You keep seeking the word.

Speaker 3 (46:56):
You keep looking at the word even though you feel something.
So you keeping in her so you can have the
light come on and you can keep the light on.
Notice his last thing. They are life to those that
find them. And notice this health. That word health literally
means a cure to all all their flesh. There is

(47:16):
no part of your body that God's healing power cannot heal.
There is no sickness or pain in this place that
God's healing power cannot heal.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
God already did it.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
Actually, we're just trying to help you to walk in
what already belongs to you.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
And here is how you do it.

Speaker 3 (47:35):
You keep your eyes on what Jesus did on the
cross for you. By keeping your eyes on God's word
about healing, he just gave you his prescription for health.
Give my words attention, climb your ear to them. So
just listen to you know, get sticking neck out right,

(47:58):
don't let it depart in front of your eyes. Keep
it in front of your eyes. Fight to keep it
in the midst.

Speaker 2 (48:03):
Of your heart.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
If you do these four things, you'll experience the cure
that Jesus bought for you. No, you were to go
to the doctor tomorrow and say, doctor, I'm dealing with
this issue, and the doctor said, I'm gonna put a
prescription in for you.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Go pick it up at CBS or Walgreens. They should
pay me for that moment. But I'm just joking.

Speaker 3 (48:28):
And the prescription said, take this pill three times a
day for seven days and it'll be gone. How many
y'all would do it? How many y'all have done it?
You mean, I do it now because you know some.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
But how many because you believe what the doctor says.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
You believe in a medicine and you don't even know
how it works. Come on, if you think about a
hot is something that goes in my mouth and go
down to my stomach, fix my head. But you believe it,
so you'll put something in your mouth and your body.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Believing in the education of a doctor. You barely know
if you can do that because the doctor gives you
a prescription.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
How much more when God gives you a prescription. Who
created your body, who loves you, who died for you,
who wants you to live pain free? And I want
to challenge you. I'm declaring something. My team hadn't heard
any of this yet, but we start in twenty eight
days of being pain free right now. I want to
challenge you. Every day over the next twenty eight days,

(49:48):
you open God's word on healing every day. Some might say,
every day we are eradicating sickness out of this place
in the.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Next twenty eight days.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
Every day, every day, every day, every day, open your.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
Bible and look at.

Speaker 3 (50:04):
The fact He borre my sickness, he borre my pain
by his stress.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
I am cured.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
Attend to his word and cline your air to a saints.
Let him not depart from your eyes. Keep it in
the midst.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
Of your heart, a pastor.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
But I'm studying this in the Bible, and I'm studying
that with about our chapter we read every day.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
I remember something I heard but said before.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
If you are in the hospital and they say you
got a few weeks to live, that is not the
time to study the Book of Revelation.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
If you don't fix this soon.

Speaker 3 (50:42):
Enough, you're gonna be experiencing the end of Revelation really
soon called heaven.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
That's the time to study God's word on healing. You
got sickness going on your life.

Speaker 3 (50:52):
In fact, part of the challenge some of us have
financially is your sicknesses have been robbing your bank account.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
You pay so much money.

Speaker 3 (51:02):
If you just had all the money you paid for
medicines and doctor's appointments and hospital visits, how much would
you have.

Speaker 2 (51:12):
Now this is a big issue.

Speaker 3 (51:15):
God wants you paying free, and he also wants you
paying free. So people who don't know God can come
to you and ask you, how on earth are you
this healthy? How did you get over this? How did
this happen? How did your spine all of a sudden
get what happen? And you can tell them that Jesus
that did this for me is the one that will
save you, and he'll do it for you too, and

(51:36):
they'll believe it because they can see what God did
in your life. Let's make the next twenty eight days
twenty eight days of healing. Let's dive into the Word
of God on healing like never before. Anybody gonna do
that with me, even online. Put your hand up, anybody game,
let's do it. Let's go after it. Come on, you

(51:56):
gotta have some toughness and tenacity when it comes to
spiritual things. This is why people think Christianity that's not
for women. You don't know what Christianity is. You know
they tell men men shouldn't be going to church because
you know that's all for women stuff. First of all,
but you don't understand there's women a lot of times
a lot stronger than you are. Brother, So you are

(52:22):
totally misguided in that statement. But second of all, brother,
this is gonna be the toughest thing you ever do.
It's gonna take a it's gonna be a fight. I'm
telling you, I'm telling you, Satan comes for the word.
Say you're gonna you're gonna walk out of here, and
Satan gonna try some stuff.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
But I'm gonna let you know what he's gonna try
to do.

Speaker 3 (52:43):
So you know what to do. Let me go right
back in the word of God. Let me go right
back to looking at what God said. In fact, I'm
gonna find somebody that needs to be minister to, and
I'm gonna tell them about Jesus, just to remind you, Satan,
not to.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
Mess with me.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
Let me read one more scripture to you, Joshua eighteen
verse three. This was Joshua talking to God's people. I
just love this statement. Then Joshua asked them, how long
are you going to wait before taking possession of the
land the Lord's given you?

Speaker 2 (53:20):
That's my question for you.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
How long are you gonna wait? How many more days
are you gonna be sick? How many more days you're
gonna have pain? How much are you not gonna be
How many days of playing with your kids, your grandkids
are you not gonna have? How many more How much
more money are you gonna spend on health issues?

Speaker 2 (53:34):
How much longer? How much longer? Or maybe we can
just stop it today.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
And go after this thing and allow the healing that
belongs to us to actually show up in our bodies
and in our lives. Decide today that your pain field
days are over.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
You made that decision.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
You follow up with what we talked about, and that's
exactly what you're going to experience.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
You will be like God.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
Human unity with God was severed, and through it all,
God's promise remain true.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
Follow me, April, and I will make a.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
Great This is the Chosen People.

I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
