Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Take twenty with Mattie and Kenzie Ziegler and
I Heart Radio Podcast. Hello, So a lot of a
lot of you. I've been wondering how our days go.
So we're gonna go through, you know, our day in

(00:24):
our lives. Yeah, we thought it would be fun to
do kind of like for this specific like we'll do
like a two parter because obviously there's two of us,
really really really if you didn't know, but I might
not know because our voices sounds. I would love to
see how many people get confused by our voices, like

(00:45):
while listening to this podcast, I know, let us know,
let us know, but um yeah, I know, right, but
um yeah. So I'm gonna ask Kenzie like a bunch
of questions just so you guys can get to know
her more in her everyday life. And then the second
part we'll do vice versa. So let me just put
my interview hat on. Where's your hat? I didn't put

(01:07):
it on, Okay, I put on my glasses. Okay, Kenzie,
what time do you normally wake up if I don't
have anything that day? Probably like ten. But you've been
getting better at waking up earlier because have been going
to sleep earlier. I'm becoming you because Maddie goes to

(01:32):
sleep at like nine o'clock. I went to bed at
ninety last night. I knew it. Um. But yeah, I
most of the time, if I have stuff to do,
I usually wake up at nine. That's good. That's a
good time because I work out at like ten most
of the time. Kenzie has been on like, okay, let

(01:53):
me let me just how about you walk walk us
through Like you wake up, do you lay in bed
for a while or do you get up straight away?
Do you like do your workout because you work out
in the backyard? Explain, I have a trainer that comes
to my house and we work out in my backyard.
It's so nice, just because you know, working out outside

(02:16):
is so nice and refreshing, and you don't feel like
do you get like a really hot though, because now
it's getting hotter, there's like shade. Um. But when I
go to a gym, I just feel, for some reason,
I feel more unmotivated, interesting different with pilates than there
is with a gym because the gym there's so many people,

(02:37):
like everyone's doing different things and it's very overwhelming. But
pilates is just like three people and the one we
go to it's just like three reformer machines. But yeah,
it's also just like refreshing and like sign on your
face it's really nice. So it's so nice, Like you
wake up, you can just put on workout cloth and
just go downstairs. It's it's really nice, like have a

(02:59):
nice meal. Yeah, what's your skin? Do you do morning
skin care? Just nights? Can care? M I should be honest, Okay,
you have like such clear skin, you don't really need
to I just have really really dry skin, So you
could expliate that's I need to do that. But most

(03:20):
of the time I just do my skincare at night
because I shower usually at night too. I'm a night
shower girl. Or if I work out and I have
and then I shower. But most of the time I
shower really late at night, which might be bad because
I'm sure that wakes you up. I don't think so,
but I also I don't know. It's just easier when

(03:43):
you're like you go to bed like freshly cleaning, you
wake up in your bed clean. Okay, how often do
you shower today? How a day? Like Eddie takes four
baths today? Okay, Well, that's different because I will wake up,
I'll work out, I'll take a shower. Maybe if I

(04:04):
don't have anything to do that day, I'll take a
bath because I love basket and I are the same
way you take a bassetl lot. I will take a bath.
If I'm like bored and I'm like you want to relax,
I could do take a bath. That's that's the first option. Um.
And then I'll shower at night. So maybe like shower, bath, shower.
That's a fun comma. Or sometimes like three baths today

(04:26):
just because I'm not knowing anything that's funny. Um, what's
your go to breakfast? Recently it's been oatmeal. Yeah, I
love oatmeal for breakfast. I like the brown sugar oatmeal.
Do you make it? No? Mom makes it for me
because I still don't know how to do it. Um,
it's very put hot water and I know. But you know,

(04:49):
my mom likes making me breakfast because she can't really
make dinner. Um, that's true. So she always used to
say to our mom when we'd be getting ready for school,
where like can you make us a real She's like, yeah,
I'll start cooking now. It was just like a joke
because she just makes the easiest things, but she makes
them really good. She does. She has a special touch.

(05:10):
It's because she makes it with love, right, so it
like tastes better. Of course if I would have made it,
it probably wouldn't have been as good. True. Okay, how
often do you talk to me? Every day? We talked?
We talk a lot. We talk a lot a lot. Yeah,
we go through we go through waves. Like sometimes sometimes
we don't talk for like a week, not because we're
mad at each other, because we never really get mad

(05:32):
at each other, um, but like maybe one of us
is busy or Maddie sometimes ignores me. It's like that.
I just like am so bad at responding sometimes, Like
my mom and I are both like, hey, have you
talked to Maddie? And she's like, no, have you And
I'm like no, And we're like worried because we're like
is she mad at us? Like is she okay? Like

(05:53):
what's happening? And then I'll call her one time and
she's like hey, and I'm like, you have not talked
to me in a week. What is wrong with you?
She's like, Oh, I didn't even know you called me.
And that's what you always say. I didn't even know
you were texting me. I genuinely don't. Like It's not
like I would never try to ignore you. But we
have to text Eddie and be like, hey, are you
as Maddie And he's like yes, and I'm like, okay,

(06:15):
well we do we FaceTime like every second? Oh yeah,
even like just getting today. She's like, we're on FaceTime
this morning. She's like, all right, so what am I
wearing today? So I picked out her office and then
I ordered a Starbucks so that when she picked me
up it arrived at the same time. That was genius timing,
by the way. I just want to say, I know

(06:36):
that good. Um do you what shows are you watching
right now? Obviously Euphoria? Well we finished watching you for it,
obviously Euphoria, But now we have to wait till for
the next season. That's just absolutely which is ridiculous. But
you waited because you watched it right when it came out, right,
I did. I watched like how it's based out every week.

(06:58):
That's how I watched it, like for the first season
as well. Yeah, but I watched it all together because
which I was. I was late to the party on
up You, so I only had to wait like six
months till season two night. But also think about it,
like a lot of people have been sorry. I don't
mean to cut you off, but like people purposely, like
there are certain people that are like, I'll just wait

(07:18):
until all of it's out so that I can bene
it all together. But there's now social media and TikTok
and everything. There are so many spoilers everywhere you go,
so you have to watch it. Yeah, Well, that's one
thing that I wish it all came out at once,
just because they leave you on such a good cliffhanger
and it's like, oh my god, I need to watch
the next episode, but I have to wait till next Sunday.

(07:41):
Like that's the worst. It's kind of good though, but
it is good because everyone's looking forward to it, so
I see why they do it. And and also it
because it's such a heavy show, it kind of gives
you a minute to like, breeze, okay, just kind of
mentally prepare myself for the next episode. What else have
you been watching? I was talking too. I was talking
to Dylan about this in the last episode, but I've

(08:04):
been watching the first forty eight. What's that It's a
crime show. Oh my gosh, you love those shows and
it's like it shows how but it's not. It's not
like a is it a like a Docky series or
like yeah, it just shows how like police officers do
their job and solve and solve like crimes and like

(08:24):
how they do it. Yes, but it's just like so
insane because you've never seen that part of it, see
the whole process. But I might be weird for watching that,
but I know a lot of you people like watching crimes.
So also, um, have you watched the new season of
Rick and Morty. There's a new season season five five?

(08:51):
Oh that that came out a little while ago, right, Oh,
I don't know. Eddie was like new season, new seasons
and I haven't seen it. So I just started to
like watching that season. It's a really good show. Actually,
I love Ricking Morty and I don't like cartoons, but
that's a great show. Yeah, it's it's really funny. It's
also like still watch Big Mouth, like over and over

(09:13):
and over. It's just the humor is like like it's
very satire and funny. I like it. It's just also
a good background sound that show. Specifically, it's because it's
cartoons like Euphoria would be a little intense to go
to sleep too, But you big Mouth is like funny,
you know what's so funny too? But like you're are

(09:34):
you able to go through Okay, Let's say you're watching
a movie at night, are you able to go through
the entire movie without falling asleep? Okay? Same even even
with TV shows too, Like if I'm watching a TV show,
the lights have to be on or I have to
not be under the covers, like Cozy. That's that's my issue.

(09:55):
The only show I actually stay awake for at night
is eu for it because it's just it's too stressful
that I can't even relax. Usually I do. But the
last the last no, not the last episode episode before
I fell asleep and I had to watch it again.
Remember I was like, don't say anything. I still didn't
finish it. But that last episode was crazy. That was insane.

(10:34):
What is your comfort show? Like? If you're if there's
one show that you will constantly have on in the background,
like you're not even like watching it necessarily, it's just
like always on, Like big Mouth, I love it, that's cute.
I don't know why. I think just because it's like
easy and every episode is good. Um, because I wouldn't

(10:55):
be able to put on like a series like big
Mouth is a series. It has a story, but you
kind of can just like pick up on it if
you're like walking around and you watch it. But you
can't with like Outer Banks or Euphoria or something because
it's so intense and it has like a full storyline
you need to watch. I could be wrong, but because
I don't really watch cartoons, is it like every episode

(11:19):
kind of like how Phineas and Ferb was, It was
always a different plot every episode, like it was you
could just pick up wherever? Is that how it is
with like no big Mouth has a story, Like there's
certain relationships and like certain things that are going on,
but there's always like something new that's happening. Sure, that's funny.
That's why I like Rick and Morty too, because it's

(11:39):
so like it's kind of like something different every episode.
You don't really need to know anything about the last one.
I felt like I was caught up by like the
first episode of season Like I was like, oh, okay,
I understand what's going on right exactly? Um, what's your
favorite dinner and then what do you have if you're
going to have a class, Like your favorite dessert after

(12:01):
my favorite dinner, that's really hard. I really like spaghetti bolonies.
My mom makes a really good that's like her one
meal that she has mastered. She is so good at
spaghetti bolones. That's good to know. And it's just like
an easy dinner. I mean, if I had to choose
somewhere else to go, it would be Catsia, just because

(12:24):
it's so good. Um, But dessert, I don't really I'm
not brownies, but mom my mom or our mom? How
our mom bought brownies? Remember, sometimes they'll be in conversations
and you'll be like my mom. I like, she's mine too.
We always do that. You do that more than me though,

(12:46):
Um yeah, she Well she usually makes us desserts and
I eat them all. But she bought brownies and they
were delicious. They're not going to be good, but they're
actually really good because she makes really good That's one
thing she is. She's a baker. She she is a baker.
It was so funny last night we were like, she
put what's that little thing called like the little tray,
like the dessert tray. It's like on a pedestal. I

(13:07):
don't even know. But Kenzie, there was like one brownie
left and no one was like getting and can He's like, okay, fine,
I'll eat it like no one wanted. It's all yours.
You could have it. Three. It's good for you. It's
all about balance. Workout in the morning, three bounties and
that right exactly. You should treat yourself. You've been working
so hard. Um, what is your bedtime routine? And obviously

(13:30):
skincare because you don't do it as much of the
morneing Wow, I skincare my nighttime. I'll just go through it, Okay,
go through it. I usually clean my room sometimes not
actually like clean my room. I would put my clothes
in the hamper, you know that on the floor from yesterday.

(13:52):
That classic that classic chore. Um. I'll take a shower
and then I'll watch them to TV and like snuggle
with my dog most of the time, or she like
has the zoomies so I have to play with her.
And then her zoomies were out of control last night.
She was changing her tail outside. Um, and then I'm like,

(14:13):
oh shoot, I have to do my skincare. I still
make up on good for you that you still think
about that. Well, it depends. But then you know, do
some moisturizer and wash my face, not in that order.
You know, wash my face, moisturizer, I have like a
free picture. You're doing that order. Probably, I'm like, honestly,

(14:35):
I don't know what I'm doing. Both. Whatever you're doing
is great because your skin is so nice. I just
need to exploit. But and then you're like, I put
on a face mask. Sometimes you do. Actually sometimes I
do um if my skin is really dry, and then
I go in my bed. I maybe play some cod

(14:55):
Mobile we love that game, and then sims Sims maybe
both at the same time. You never know. Do you
do that? Sometimes? Oh my gosh, my friends want to
play a game, so I'm like, have my sims up
that I'm building a house, but I have to play
one game and that I switch. You're a multitasker, you

(15:17):
know how it is. But recently I've been like going
through my entire room and like packing things in boxes
just because we're like starting to move things. Do you
feel emotional at all that you're moving? No, not because
not because of the family purposes, Like obviously I'm going
to be upset, Like it's a sad thing. But I mean, like,

(15:38):
do you feel emotional that you're living a room? I
guess you don't have as much time to connect to
that house. I don't. It doesn't do anything, doesn't feel
like a home. Like the last we moved, like two
years ago, when I moved out, Guy moved but our
first house, all of you know what it looks like. Um,
it was just like it was great. It was so fun.
It was the best. My room was so far away

(16:00):
from my mom, so I could be screaming at night,
and like I have friends and I would just have
a blast. Um and like all my friends were over
all the time. We would play basketball, we would just
do whatever. But at this house, I have my volume
on my TV at like two. My Mom's like turn
it down. So that's it. I'm so excited for you.

(16:21):
I'm so interested to see what routine you pick up
when you move out, because I was we were talking
about this the other day because obviously, like I've always
been kind of like, you know, I've had a routine
when we all lived together, but then like when I
moved out, you know, you obviously create new habits and
new things in your own space. So I'm so interested
to see what you do. And like I think I'll

(16:43):
be clean, I think you will too. I'm not. I'm
not clean at all. I'm very messy. Yeah. Well, that
the more you know so interesting. I already knew all
those things about you because I'm a loyal sister. I
just know I'm not going to be a clean freak
like Mattie Sigler. That's okay, it's okay, it's okay. You

(17:04):
can just come. I literally will. I will absolutely do that.
But now we're going to flop it over. Oh my god,
that I hated that so much. Flop it over. I
am so excited to hear your routine. You know it's
gonna be way different than my Not really, I mean
I definitely washed my face before I put my stripes, right, Okay,
I don't do that. Well. Thanks for telling us about yourself,
