Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Take twenty with Mattie and Kenzie Ziggler and
I Heart Radio Podcast. Hello everyone, we're back baby. Um,
We're gonna be doing a Q and A because we
love doing these. We love answering your questions and we
kind of want to make this a regular thing so
(00:23):
we can, you know, update you guys. And it's also
nice to just kind of see what you guys want
to know, just because sometimes we ramble too much and
I feel like it's good to just get some questions
that the way, so we're not just like you're not
just listening to us rambling. Very contained episode here, This
is a very professional episode actually, So Kenzie, here we
(00:44):
go first. Usually have our suits on right now for
this and a mustache. Imagine if guys, everyone listening, paint
a picture right now, me and Kenzie sitting in a
corporate office, full suit and die mustache, loafers absolutely, and
it would be paper pen and paper pen and papers.
So sunglasses. I like, slick back Ivy agree, slick back hair.
(01:09):
Do you want to go first? Okay? This is okay.
The first question, Kenzie, if you could have one character
trait from your sister, what would what trait would you
use in Maddie, what about you? Oh, I know what
I would chose for you, but go ahead, mhm. It
doesn't have to be. There's gonna be. There's gonna be two. Okay.
(01:30):
One would be how clean you are and how organized.
That's the one, because that's the same thing because I
just you have a little department. Yeah, I just don't
feel like my room needs to be clean. I don't
feel But then I'm like losing my mind at times
because I'm like, oh my god, why isn't my room clean.
(01:51):
You go through cleaning spurts I do, and it's like
at the worst times. Um. But but the there one
would be your fashion, your style, because you you style
me constantly and my outfits look the best they've ever looked,
Like when I went to London, she literally packed my
(02:12):
whole suitcase for me and packed like put outfits together
and I looked so cute. Yeah, but also you style
yourself so good, like I think you're personal, Like the
outfit you shot up in my house too, I was like, okay, girl,
that's very nice to you. Thank you. What about you?
My character trait will also I would want your style
(02:34):
as well. But another character trait I would want from
you is your like confident, care free attitude, because you
are so good at just like speaking your opinion and
you're so nice about it, like you do it in
such a nice way, but you're just so like you
really just say what's on your mind. And I don't know,
(02:56):
I feel like you're really good about that stuff and
you have such a care fore attitude and you just
do what you want and like, I don't know, I
really respect that and I've always admired that from you,
and I always have wanted to pick up on that.
Thank you. That's very see. Okay, Maddie, this movie involves
some very big issues of trauma. What were your initial
thoughts when you read the script and what did you
(03:18):
do to prepare for the role. Well, when I read
the script, I was immediately impacted, and I thought, oh
my gosh, I would really love to help tell this
story because it's super important and really relevant and something
that I think older people watching could really learn from
and just see the fear of what it's like to
be a high school student in today's generation. Wow, that
(03:40):
was like really well said O kidding um. And I
also to prepare for it, I did a lot of
research and kind of um really looked up on past
tragedies like this and seeing how people who in live
events coped with it. Um, and it's it's really heavy,
(04:02):
but uh, there's a lot of also like different things
like navigating, like self discovery and things like that. So
I think that was also really important to tackle and
something that I could relate to where I was almost
like finding myself within the character, which was really cool. Okay,
kenzie h m oh, this is a really good question.
(04:22):
Whoever wrote this? If you could have dinner with any
four people, dead or alive, who would you pick and why? Okay,
this is really hard. I already know my answer. Do
you want to go first? Now you go? This is
this is really really really hard for me because I
really don't know. But okay, well one of them has
(04:47):
to be my celebrity crush because that's just who's up.
How it's going to be, um aceep Rocky would have
to be at the dinner table, um along with Rihanna,
I think because those are my two favorite people. Um
maybe like maybe like Prince, you literally are reading my
entire mind. Really that wasn't even a proper sentence, but
(05:11):
you are reading my mind, Prince, and if you say
the same last person, I will won't because I don't
know who it is yet, because I have to think
about it. I've actually never thought about this question. Well,
here you go, um, and you know what, I really
like John Mayer. So maybe John Mayer. I was gonna
(05:32):
say a sav Rocky, Rihanna, Prince and Stevie Wonder. Good one. Okay,
good one. You could throw Oprah in there too, Wendy
Williams fly Wendy, she just gave up in my head.
There's a lot of people I would like to have
if you could have Okay, I have a better one,
(05:52):
if you could have dinner with for YouTubers, who would
you choose for YouTubers? Okay? Um, I would pick so
as you guys know, I love games and you're SIMS girl. No,
she's not my SIMS girl. Actually you know gen x
pen she I've always watched her, but she now has
(06:15):
a gaming channel and all the time, and she's just
really bad at them. But that's what makes it really
so I would like to have dinner with her, I
would I mean, I love Alicia Marie, Yeah, she's great. Um,
I love Emma Chamberlain and Cody co Oh's but okay,
(06:36):
one more and Kelsey His. I love her, He's my favorite.
They're both my favorite iTunes. How about you? I would
say Sacred Time, Okay, I only I would say Nicky Tutorials.
Oh my gosh, I forgot about my queen. I would
(06:57):
say Julia Haven's who's one of my favorite YouTubers. Her
and her husband have a channel, and I just love her.
Ah j C. Marie, do you know her? I think so.
I think she's really cool and um and maybe, oh
my god, this is hard, say Kelsey. Yeah. I love Kelsey.
(07:20):
She's so cute. I don't know, this is a hard
question anyway, Okay, every time I watched her videos, I
just she looks like, you know, she's her personality as you.
But Eddie looks like when we went, I didn't know
who she was until like after and then I looked
her up and I found her on YouTube and I
didn't know she was dating Potico, and I just thought
she's so cool. But literally, like I went to an
(07:42):
event at Devon. Devon had like a lack of color event.
Um Devin, who was on our our podcast a few
episodes ago, but She basically was there just as one
of Devin's friends, and we just like met each other
and kind of like hung around each other the whole time.
And I was like, who is this girl? She said,
she's like a school teacher, and I think she's so
(08:03):
cute and just the funniest person ever. And then I
realized it was her, and then I became obsessed and
I started watching all of her videos and I think
she's just the coolest ever. She's so cute, She's so
cute and hilarious. Kenseie, I know, so funny. Don't trust me.
I watched her every single day. Oh. I almost just
(08:41):
asked you a really funny question, but I'm not going
to why just because no ask me? Okay, when did
you have your first kiss? You regret it now, don't you. Actually?
I've told everyone this, when who was your first? Kensie
had like eight boyfriends, like when she was like five. Okay, listen,
(09:02):
here's this story. I was. I think, oh my gosh, wait,
I think I was twelve years old. I think I
was dating. I think was a way you would have
been like singing. Okay, well that's that doesn't count. Again.
I was eleven years old. I think and my neighbor
(09:27):
Um at our how at our how what am I
trying to say? At our hometown, our neighborhood, in our neighborhood. Um,
we actually went to school together when we were in
like second grade, and I hated him. Um, but we
started dating and we never you didn't even hold hand,
We did not hold hands. We did not even like
see each other ever. I mean I but we would
(09:49):
text each other all the time, and as we're each
other's screensavers. Yeah, that's just like so embarrassing. And I
was with my friends and him and his brother at
the park and then we went back to their house
and they were all dared me to kiss him, and
I was like, oh yeah, yeah, like whatever, acting like
I've done it before. Um. And then we like pecked,
(10:12):
and then I got all my friends. I was like,
all right, let's go hang. We got on our bikes
and I went back to my house and I broke
up with him and he cried. That's kind of sad.
I was scared, Like that's scary, year old. What was
your first kiss? Oh? I was there. Well my technically
(10:33):
my first kiss was on TV. That doesn't count. Okay, Well,
my first real kiss was in Australia. You were there.
You're not going to tell us a story. I just
told everyone my whole story, just like. It wasn't that exciting.
It was just it was a truth or was a
truth or dare as well? And then we like pecked
for a second and then ended up kissing again that night,
(10:53):
but it wasn't like anything. You kissed again, but not
like for more than like probably five seconds. Like it
was really quick, and I was like, I'm in love.
I was like I was like twelve. And then that
ended up dating him and then that ended very poorly.
So you live and you learn. Also, Kensay, you know
how in the in the other episode, I was trying
(11:15):
to say, I sound like a and I couldn't figure
it out. I figured it out. I found like a
broken record, That's what I was trying. I have another
question for you, Kensey. You've been asking You've asked three questions,
I know, but I'm asking you another one. O what
animal best represents you? See that's a hard one because
(11:39):
I feel like Ivy really represents me. But that's just
not like an animal. Yeah, what do you think Ivy is?
She's a person. She is my child. Um, okay, psychopath.
I think Boots represents you a hundred percent. But if
I could pick like another animal, I feel like I'm
(12:01):
just very drawn to monkeys. I was just gonna say that,
you're like a little monkey. I like to climb up things.
I like to I'm I'm just gonna stop, you know
what I am. I'm a do it. Okay, if you're nuts,
(12:21):
like you don't want sluggish, but I'm like, I'm just
I look like a sloth. No you don't. You're cindaly
like a little like Koala bear. Do you miss living
in Pittsburgh? No? No, I mean I can, Like we
when we went home for Christmas, I really actually was
one of the first time times I really enjoyed Pittsburgh
(12:42):
in a while, and I really appreciate it for what
it is. But I don't think I ever want to
live there again. You know, It's just not for me personally,
and that's fine. I feel like same for me. I
I go back way more than you do, but you
still don't go back that much. No, But it's like
it's a nice break, definitely. It's like, obviously I can
(13:03):
be very overwhelming sometimes, so it's like a completely different,
you know, place, and I love that. That's what I
love about it. It's kind of like a home away
from home type situation. Definitely. It's also interesting the more
you get older and the more you can like find
value and appreciation in different things that you used to
not you would just like throw away, you know. Like
(13:25):
now I feel like we can both appreciate it for
what it is. At their hometown, it's where we came from.
There's really beautiful parts of Pittsburgh. So okay, um, what
is a fashion trend that you want to try that
you haven't yet? Fashion trend? I feel like, I don't know,
maybe like the comfy style, like comfy cute, like I'm
referencing Hailey Bieber and and like um Bella Hadid like
(13:52):
track suits, oh yeah, and like but like cute, you know,
I feel like I need to explore that a little
more like that definitely, Or like skirts. I don't wear skirts,
and I want to, how about you? I mean, I
definitely have been trying not to do like not not
on the level of like I'm a New York fashion
(14:12):
student on TikTok and I you know, do all the layering.
But I love layering and it's so fun and I
wish I could like pull it off, and I'm definitely
I've been trying to explore that like trend, I guess
you could say, but just like not like that way, No,
I'm The reason I'm laughing is because every time I
go on face time with her and I'm like, hey,
can you help me pick out an outfit, which I
(14:34):
the TikTok's of like I'm a New York fashion student,
like get ready with me, I'm obsessed with but like Maddie,
it's so obsessed with that too that she were on
the phone and I'm like, Okay, you need to pick
out an outfit for me right now. This is what
we always do. I face time her and ask her
and she's like, okay, use that tube top and I'm
like all right, and then she's like okay, but put
(14:55):
this white button up underneath, and I'm like that always
looks like crap is one time, but listen, that is
cute and we need to make it work somehow. Thank you.
You just have to trust the vision. I think it was.
Think if it of it. If it was that situation,
was the button down with the tube top a black
mini skirt, black tights, black knee high, big chunky boots,
(15:18):
in a bleather jacket in a beanie. Sounds perfect, That's
what I'm saying. Like, but like my button up and
top was, it's just weird. Okay, I'll ask you a question. Okay,
mm hm. Who was more affectionate between the two of us?
M hm. I feel like we're very equal, Like I
feel like, what what do you think? I think you're
(15:42):
more affectionate, but but like it just depends who. Like
we're both very affectionate to our boyfriends as to one another. Oh,
I'm more affectionate to you than you are to me.
I used to cry because Kenny wouldn't hug me when
she was younger, and like I try to give her
a kiss and she wouldn't let me, Like what the hell?
Like we're sisters, like let me hug you, let me
(16:06):
cuddle you, Like she's just like, let me cuddle you.
And because you and snuggle yea at the same time.
And I'm like, Okay, s I'm not trying to be
that annoying sister that's like, give me all the love.
But I just think you're so cute and you're just
like a little ball of joy and I just want
to hug you. Thank you. Well, that's what I find
(16:26):
for kind I'll never hug you again. We hug all
the time. I don't save each other like deep and
meaningful hugs. Okay, that's kind of rude. No, I just mean,
like it's not like a long hug. It's like a
pat in the back, like hey, how are you? Yeah,
But like it's fine because we hang out. We give
our dogs more affection, the most affection, but they give
(16:48):
us so much affection. If and when you have kids,
will you put them in dance or will you let
them decide? See that's hard because I when I was younger,
I did not like dance. Well you did at one point.
It would be like I like dance, I don't like dance,
like it was always just I mean, I quit to
(17:09):
play soccer, so um it really, I think I'm just
going to let them do what they want to do, obviously,
like every kid should decide. Obviously when they're like two
years old. You can't be like, I'll probably put them
in dance when they're two years old, just because but
they're like, I don't want to do dance. I'mo be
like all right, yeah, literally you're like school. Yeah, but yeah,
(17:31):
this was so much fun. Um. We always love like
answering your guys questions just because it's cool to get
like fun. I don't know, different perspectives and things, but yeah,
thank you guys for tuning in. Thanks John, back to
you because remember we're in a corporate office right now
with Jerry. See you John. That was j, J and j. Anyway,
(17:56):
we need to go. We're very delusional. I think the
cookie dough I was eating kicked in the sugar. Okay, bye,
