Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's up? This is the people Shark. Here Damon and
John with a motivation moment for you courtesy of that
Moment with Damon John, a production of The Black Effect
Podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Now, I'm reflecting on the fact
that I have been There were seven cities in the
last five days, and often it is nine. If you

(00:25):
ever follow me on social media, people say I'm crazy.
But the more things change, the more they stay the same.
What I have found is, after we've gotten out of
the pandemic, that the face to face meetings mean so
much more. Everybody's hiding behind a screen, their eyes are glossy,
they're trying to get off. They don't want to interrupt anybody,

(00:46):
and if they like something or if they don't like something,
their emotions are not necessarily seeing the way they are
when you are in person. They say over sixty percent
of communication is in body language. Can I say that
every single city, every single room that I'm in is
super productive. Absolutely not. However, that sets it up for

(01:10):
the next time that I'm in a room with somebody,
I get to meet such great people, and I also
get to meet people that think like I do. They
travel from around the world, or even in that city,
to be in a place where they exercise the fact
that we are pack animals and we love to see
and talk to people. I'm giving you a motivational moment.

(01:31):
Get outside of your ivory tower or in your house,
get outside and start to network people. Or there was
social network, there was networking in person and this is
the best time. And I have found that it is
the most productive time because when everybody else is talking
behind the screen, you're talking in person, you're shaking a hand,

(01:52):
you're giving positive body language, and that is paying way
more than anything else. They are paying dividends for the
rest see a lights these type of meetings. So go
ahead and enjoy that time outside and go out and
make money, make new friends, and have a great time.
And there you have it. So tune in every week
or more episodes of that Moment with Damon John Peace
