Speaker 1 (00:00):
Of the Law and Order franchises, SVU is considered especially watchable.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
We are the amateur detectives who kind of investigate the
vicious felonies.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
These episodes are based on.
Speaker 4 (00:09):
These are our stories, done done?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Who do you?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Who's that's messed up?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
But that SVU podcast, I am Li's a tragger and
I'm Kerrick Clink.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
And when we're not interview starting the episode in a
completely unhinged manner, we are recapping episodes of SVU talking
about the true crimes. They're based on, interviewing celeb guests,
actors from the episode. And today is a big one
the world at large. Yeah, we got a great guest today.
(00:58):
But first, last look, this is coming out probably a
few days later, so it's gonna be a little bit
of old news. But last night was the Emmys, and
I would say Law and Order had a massive presence.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yes, they did this.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
It felt very stilted to me, like for people that
have been career actors. It just felt like everybody was
maybe they didn't read maybe yeah it was a teleprompter. Yeah,
I don't think there didn't feel like there was a
lot of rehearsal. And then like I think iced Tea's
first line.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Was a joke. It was all about Marishka.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah, the first line that Iced Tea said was a joke,
but I think it got swallowed and so it was
just kind of awkward silence, and then it was like, okay, guys,
this isn't the roast of Marushka hargitat. But it was
cute to see them all. Fashion Wise, I hated what
Christopher Maloney was wearing.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
I thought that were weird. It was so ugly. The
pants were a weird cut.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I did not like this like this like it looked
like hypercolor. It reminded me of a hypercolor shirt from
when I was like a kid. She was wearing something
different on the Emmy stage than when she was wearing
the red.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Both of me, the red looked so beautiful. She's really
just crushing it in every.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
But then I watched Nikki Bell, who I love, watching
his reviews, and he did not like Murshca's red dress,
and I was like, not that I agree with all
of his takes, but I was surprised because I just
thought she looked like stunning.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
I don't know, they all look good. Tony Goldwyn, I'm like,
is he like in the reboot or something. I'm like
one of.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
These, he's originally he's in the original reboot. Yes, in
the reboot reboot.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, because I was looking at him and I go, what,
because you were in one episode of Dexter?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Why are you here? No? No, no, no no.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
But he does look good. I mean, listen, they're a
good group. I like anytime they get attention.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I sold the dress to Tony Goldwyn one time when
I was what's thirteen nineteen the kid's clothing story I
worked in my town.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I was a child, I was. I was starstruck because
I love him and whis from What's he Big? In
Well Scandal. He's the bad guy in Ghost and His
Ghost a blind spot for you? Yeah, it is. I've
never seen Ghost.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, Casey's a spoiler. That's a spoiler that he's kind
of bad.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Sorry, well, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
I know there's about twenty five I know a lot
of stuff that's going on.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
There's a lot of references. I'm with the yeah. Yeah,
but he's also just like in stuff.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
I mean, obviously you know he's in hacks now, but
I've just like known him and stuff forever. And then
he came into the store, and I was just like,
you know, I only ever helped him and Glenn Close
were the only famous people I ever helped, and so
both of them.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I was like, so, I will say, Emmy's I hate
Nate Bragatzi. And to see that all the articles or
that he sucked are they are it's all like he
seemed nervous, nothing hit like the charity timer. People hated
that it's like you're rushing people who have worked their
whole lives for this and then.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Taking money away from kids in the process.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, and that it didn't actually play out and that
he Yeah, I just there wasn't any glowing stuff, and
especially after like Nikki and Conan.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah, the only thing that I read was that excited.
The only thing I read was that ratings were up,
and I sort of assumed that was just because of
the Republican nature of him or something. Yeah, that he
would bring viewers, They would bring people that are like,
I'm gonna watch them, but my boy Nick Bargatzi is
host it, you know. Yeah, Well I'm glad he sucked.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
And also what I love is when everyone is happy
for someone and every single story in my Instagram was
Jeff Hiller.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
It was Jeff Hiller love.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Everyone was out of control happy, and I love when
we can have a hero. It's very Tim Robinson AI,
like we love a hero, everyone's happy.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
We just started watching that show a couple of weeks ago.
When I love it.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
I've always loved Bridget And when I was an intern
at UCB, Jeff was like one of the big stars
Jeff Hiller at UCB, and I remember being.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Like, this guy is gonna be huge.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Like I was just like, this guy is so fucking
off the charts funny, and then he was doing stuff.
I saw him and stuff forever, but like you know,
I was like so excited to see him have that moment,
like truly, everybody was like couldn't have happened to a
better person, Like just such a good guy.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah, and I'm glad for adolescents. I didn't watch it,
but I'm really glad for that whole production and maybe
I'll watch it.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
I'm gonna watch it.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
It's only three episodes apparently, so I think I watch It's.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Like I can only handle so much. Yeah, in terms
of trauma, I just I know.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
But also like that's how I feel about the Pit.
I really want to I just go back to Dexter.
I can't watch the Pit.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
It's too It's like I watched the first episode was
like this is great, and I also don't want to
watch disgusting like surgeries and like clothing getting cut off
of like bloody bodies.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I mean it's just like, I mean, yes, I watch
the YouTube guy doctor Mike, who I've always liked. He's
like part like from where I'm from. He's really huge
on YouTube now Beyond. But he Noah Wiley did his po.
I love this guy, this guy, but I was I
was not ahead of the curve. But I think he's
a consultant because he was on the Emmy red carpet
(06:09):
and he's like celebrating my friend Noah and I Noah
did his pod and I know he's like a famous
doctor podcaster. But I just feel like maybe he was
a consultant. I should look it up. I do like
I could look it up. But why would he be
at the Emmys. I think he had something to do
with the PIT.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
I like this doctor Mike guy because I have seen him.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
He's very cute, he's a good doctor. He listens, he
wants to grow and learn.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
And I saw him like very calmly on one of
those like surrounded shows where he had to talk to
like idiot college like you know, Republican. I think they
know about anti vaxxing. Yeah, So.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I'm just like liking that.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
My feed is a lot of health professionals that are
trying to like do undo the work that RFK is doing,
and he's one of them. So I like that, as
well as doctor Jessica Nurik, who I think I've shouted
up before and I love her. She's like gets everybody
to shut the fuck up about their misinformation about food
and stuff.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
She just posted thing yesterday.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Trump said in an interview, three hundred million people died
of drugs last year. She was like, sixty two million
people died in the entire world for all causes last year.
It's just we're living in a simulation.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Back to the Emmys, I didn't watch. I looked at
some outfits.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
I looked at I forgot you.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
It's crazy because I used to be such a like
award show girl, Like I still watch the Oscars or
whatever and like, but I used to be like appointment
with the Emmys, with the with the Golden Globes and
now I just sort of miss them and watch the
clips later and read the winner's.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Lists, like I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
I don't always like sit and watch the whole thing.
But also, wait, what was I going to bring up
about the Emmys?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
I do want to say? Come see me on tour. Dublin, London, Springfield, Missouri, Amsterdam, Baltimore.
I'm in Australia, Like, come see me San Francisco, get
it together.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah, go see Lisa, guys, And if you are in
New York City this coming Sunday, the twenty eighth, I'm
hosting a show at the Bell House at five o'clock.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
That's such a lovely early time.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Lisa's on the lineup along with Jay Jorden, Jake Cornell,
I'm a willman, Josh. It's such a fun lineup. Everybody's
gonna be great. It's for a great cause. It's in
memory of my friend Jed, who I've talked about on
the podcast before, and it's a benefit for the Connecticut
Pride Center, which is the Triangle Center in Connecticut, which
(08:45):
is like their LGBTQ organization in the area where I'm from.
So come it'll be so fun. It'll be like such
a great and you'll be out of there by six
thirty ish and ready to get to bed for your
Monday scaries or Sundays.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
Go.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Marshabelski has a show that night at seven at Little Fields,
and I'm going to skip on over. I'm gonna have
like a real, a whole little night, a night baby
a go on this evening.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
But don't plug that one. I don't want people to
go to that one. I want people to go to mine.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Wait, Okay, So I love Caleb's podcast So True, and
I watch it. So I'm watching it and it's his
episode with Grace Kool and Schmidt. It's from a year ago,
and she's so funny. She's so funny. So I'm getting excited.
I play it. I'm doing some stuff and then I
come up because I guess I was making phone calls
(09:36):
loudly in the room, and Caleb was like, she asked
if she can make a phone call.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
We told her no, what is she doing? They seem
really mad.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I mean, I'm trying to get more information, but they
were like that was insane, and I want to know
what I did, Like, I want to know what was
so insane. Obviously Caleb doesn't remember, like Grace hasn't received ago.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
It's from a year ago.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
But it wasn't like because if I was just talking
and I shouldn't that fine. But they were acting like
they're like that was insane. That was like a crazy
thing for her to do. And I'm like, who could
have called him been that crazy to I'm like so curious.
But I also like hearing my name you know.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Wait, they were recounting a time that they were just
hanging out with you.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
It was happening, like he retorted in the podcast.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah, like he recorded with me the day before, like
the episode before he banked him. Right, So I was
on my way out, she was in there recording and
I guess it was just like screaming.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
On my phone in the building.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
And so it was them being like, what the fuck
is that she is being crazy right now?
Speaker 3 (10:33):
And I'm like, what could I have? I want to know.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
I'm like, oh my god, I'm so curious at who.
I like, what crazy noises.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
I could have been making?
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, but such a thrill to like hear your name, yeah,
and you don't know you're gonna hear it.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
I like that totally fun. I never know. That never
happens to me.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Usually somebody messages me and says, you got brought up
on this thing, and then I have to go seek
it out.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
But thanks everyone that came to see me in Plano, Texas.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
That's it. I had a great time.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Actually the host Anna first day Benson and Finn ear rings.
Next day pink SVU badge earrings.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Oh, pretty thrilling. It was excited. She came to listen.
She knew I was. Hello. We got some information today
regarding Luigi.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, I you know what, I prioritized my sleep and
rest and maybe I shouldn't have. I should have been
in court, but I you know, I've been right on
the money with all of my research. And the terrorism
charges on the state level were thrown out today the
day we're recording this. And also they're not allowed to
use the health information that they got from the insurance
(11:57):
companies with like a false subpoena, so the judge dismissed
that being used. However, he and there's another like more
serious murder charge that's off the table, So that means
the life sent there he has a possibility for parole.
It just goes down. It's all second degree stuff. The
one thing that the judge did not go for was
(12:18):
she really wants, like the state trial to wait till
the federal trial ends because it's hard to play both.
She called it like a quagmire or something. She's like,
there's just double jeopardy involved, but also they're conflicting. But
he does not give a fuck. So the next state
trial will be December first or like hearing or whatever,
and then the next federal will be December fourth. But
(12:40):
and then I think sooner than that is the Pennsylvania
court dates, so we'll see what happens there where they
have allowed him to be able to go in person.
But I'm just really happy that the terrorism charges are
off because it was not terrorism at all. I mean,
he's also not guilty, but he wasn't there, but it
(13:02):
was not terrorism.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I can't believe that, like, you
know what a massive case this is, and you're still
going to try to like get medical records in not
a buy the book way.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
That's like, so it's.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
One thing when it's like Maloney, you know, Grease and
some poems to get files on the show. This is
like a massive, worldwide known case, like you have to
do everything the right way.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
And now it's out.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Well no, not in not in this America. You could
do whatever you want. Yeah, you can put someone on
a plane and go you're going there. So I don't
know what is real or not anymore. What he looked hot?
I you know, he looked sad. He didn't say a word.
There was not as much fun facial expression. So but
(13:50):
I also read something this last even before this, that
he's still reading like letters from January.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
So I don't know what's going on. He's backed up,
he's backs up, but.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
I can't believe everybody is actually sending the letters in
the right format and he's got that so many.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yeah, and there's they said that there was three rows
of Luigi fans in the courthouse.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
Damn. So oh.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
I remember the thing I was gonna say about the Emmys.
I posted this on our Instagram. But did you see
the video of Murushka and Christopher Maloney backstage where he's like,
she's like looking at the Emmys and she's like, you're
never gonna have one of these. But then she realizes
she's on camera and goes, oh shit. That really made
me laugh.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
I feel like almost All the shit they do is like.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Posed and it's like baiting, you know, the audio, like
the audience, And that was like really funny, like yeah, yeah,
caught on camera, candid camera a moment.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
She has one baby. Yeah, she's got Hopefully he'll get one.
Hopefully he'll have one one day.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
I hope he wins for comedy, like I hope he does,
like an amazing other guest star.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
And a comedy thing. I want him rewarded. Yeah, maybe
a golden globe and a funny movie. He's good.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
I mean, I don't think he needs awards. Oh you
mean in talent. I'm like, he doesn't need any And
he's like fine, what a wealthy man?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yes, Oh, and you recently discovered he plays backgammon.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
I felt like uncomfortable because it's his daughter's Instagram, Like
I'm trying to be respectful, but he's shirtless playing backgammon.
I can't believe it. Like I now, it's like I
just I want to play backgammon with him so fucking bad.
Never have I wanted to play with someone more. I
think I'm gonna get back into the Monday night game,
(15:38):
Like I got to get back into playing in the
city because.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Like, remember when we had a guest and you just go,
do you play backgammon? And it was like their passion.
You just like knew it. But I think it was
Mark Machaka and Ercy Lanister. Yes, they play, and you
like sensed it. Nothing was said about it. You said
it out of nowhere. I was like, here she goes
with the backgammon and then it was like he was
(16:02):
like religiously every day, like it was so nuts.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Wait, dude, do you know Mookie Thompson comment, I'm assuming.
So I saw him last night and somehow I.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Brought up poker and he had like worked and played
poker for decades and now he plays chess hardcore. And
I was saying, how I really want to play backgammon
in the parks like in Union Square, but I'm a
little intimidated and I don't know what. And he goes,
they would be thrilled to play with you. He goes,
they might be fast to go, and he goes, it's
five dollars a game. He's like it, just go have fun,
(16:33):
and he goes, once they realize you know the moves
and can play, I think they're gonna like it. So
hopefully stay tuned to a street game experience.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Okay, is that in like Washington Square Park they do that?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yeah, I usually see more in Union Square area, but
I would try like Washington Square as well, cause but
there's more chessboards there. I have seen it, but there's
like one guy I see all the time by Union Square.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, because Jess It's like there could Yeah. Is it
like b yo backgammon board?
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Like he has his own, but he has his own
there with like bigger because mine is tiny. The like
league I went to play in once you have to
bring your own board, but I haven't been back. But
now I'm like, now I have this new fantasy unlocked
of trapping Maloney, having my suitcase of backgammon, finding him and.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Playing with him.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
I don't know, it's exciting. It's it was exciting.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
For me, but also exciting to hear from someone that
plays poker and chess so well.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Yeah yeah, and I.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Didn't know that he had all these skills. I'm actually
I wonder if it's open to the public. October fourteenth,
I am playing in like a Norm McDonald poker Memorial
Poker tournament.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Really, yeah, I was, Are you god? A poker.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
I think I'm gonna be out of the tournament. I'm
not gonna be in bear like when I go to casinos,
the guys will like kind of like an Orca playing
with a seal.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
They'll like pack me around a little.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
I think they enjoy my company and then they take
my money, you know what I mean? So yeah, I'm okay.
But and maybe I'll have some sort of luck or
situation or have the cards on my side and really
be able to get it. But I think i'd be
out in the first round if I'm being like fully
honest with myself at it.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Do you think, Yeah, I'm seeing articles for last year
and so I get they're doing it again and you're
on it.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
That's exciting.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah, Oh, it's invitationous players one thousand dollars. Wait, someone
must be I'm not paying this no right, let me
send an email Reroe, quick?
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Do I have to pay a thousand? Let's get started.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
If all Lisa finds out whether she has to buy
into a poker game for one thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Oh, We've got a great episode for you.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I mean, it benefits the thing, But I think it's
crazy that they told asked me to do this without
letting me know. But this is also an ongoing conversation
that my manager has been trying to have with me,
which is, you need to read your emails. Yeah, and
I refuse to read my emails and maybe, like I
keep getting tested in this universe. Oh my god, you
know how it's the seller. I'm usually late night, Like
(19:18):
I'm a late night girl. Yesterday I had an eight
thirty spot and I kid you not, no less than
five people went, what are you doing here?
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yeah? Wait? What?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
And then like I heard people talking about like I
saw two service be like why is lazy?
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Like it truly was confusing.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Why I was there before the comedy store people were
like checking the clock. They didn't really know what was happening.
They thought they had time traveled in a crazy way.
But I was like, is this a test? But yeah,
I could. I could be around us.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Updated on this poker tournament. I'm excited to see what
I hope.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
I hope by the time we do the post mortem,
I will have an answer for the people.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
So tease a tease and listen to our episode. Okay,
let's get started.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Okay, today we are doing the episode All Pain is
one milady. As Lisa likes to call it, all pain
is one malady. I've ever heard of malady as a word,
you know. I've heard of a malady as a like
a malady is like an illness, But like all pain
(20:31):
is one malady, I've never heard. And apparently it's from
the Greek writer in Tiffany's who suggests that all forms
of suffering are fundamentally the same, they just appear with
different descriptions and symptoms.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
But like suffering is suffering, I guess that's kind of
what it means. I disagree with this Greek bitch.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah, this old dead woman.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
We mentioned this at the very end of last week,
but if you didn't hear it, But this is essentially
episode three in a four episode arc that Chris crosses
with SVU.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
But I'm going to explain a little bit of background.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
And you'll understand while we're doing this when you get
to see our guest. Yeah, so yeah, I'm sorry, we are.
I mean, also, it's also a good episode. It's good stuff.
It's the I get, you.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Know, and well, normally you and I would do jumping
in with this episode, but jumping In is not based
on a true crime I don't think so. We basically
just are covering all pain is one malady.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
But I'll tell you the backup.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
So if you watch the episode Bad Things, which is
episode we're in season twenty four and episode twenty one
of that season is called Bad Things, and the squad
is really baffled by all of these like rapes that
are happening, but like the ems are the same, but
the DNA is different in every crime scene. But people
are taking selfies with the purpse, are taking selfies with
(21:58):
the victims and the victors. The victims are saying, the
guy knew my name, okay, so what's going on? They
basically uncover that these are revenge rapes and they find
out that it's essentially somebody has set up a task
Rabbit type website for people to get paid a ton
(22:20):
of money to put hits out on other people like murder,
sexual assault, whatever. You can just basically door dash someone
to go take care of your crime for you and
pay you them like fifty thousand dollars. And that's why
they're taking the selfies. So there's like proof. Right then,
the DNA at one of their crimes matches two cases
that the organized crime unit is working on, so time
(22:41):
to call in the old buddy Stabler. So then when
the episode Bad Things ends, they go to the OC
episode shadow Work, and that's when they discover really the
inner workings of this task rabbit for rapes and murders
and this super genius hacker that they cannot locate.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
He's so good.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
It's always like funny to me, Like when they act
like there's specific hacker. I think there's hackers that are
better than other hackers, for sure, but I always think
there's other hackers you can find to undo that hackers work,
or fuck with that hackers work.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Like there always like he's too good, we can't find him.
I don't know if that's necessarily how hacking works, but
we I'm sure you guys will let me know. I'm
sure some of you are hackers. But anyway, they cannot
find out who this guy is. They can't dig down
the site until they find out who built it. And
they're using jet slute mockers aka Friend of the Pod
(23:31):
Ainsley Seeger, and they've tracked the server to Dublin, Ohio. Okay,
so that is where this episode takes place. It picks
up with SVU in their season finale of season twenty
four with All Pain Is One, Milady. Okay the episode open.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
And gud you're doing this? One? Would I don't know
if it could have been so succinct.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
It's truly, I mean to get to get ready for
this today. I watched all four of these episodes and
then I watched the other six or Evan that our
guest is in. Yeah, so it's like it was a
it was a hard working weekend, Jake.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Yeah, I watched all I See You all day night.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
No, I mean, I was like freaking out because my
peacock didn't work and I was like, that's the only
way I can watch OCE.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
But I got another login. But the episode this episode
of SBU.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
So we're we're literally working across different organizations here. We're
working with the Organized Crime Unit and Stabler and Bell,
We're working and Jet. We're working with the Southern US
Attorney's Office, uh with Anya Avatal who we've seen before.
We're working with a New York federal agent named Curtis
McCrary who's working on the murders.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Oh and by the way, one.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Of the murders that they're investigating is a guy where
his wife comes downstairs and her husband's head is in
the dryer, Like you know when you hear something in
a dryer that's like good bunk, good bunk, good bunk.
It's her husband's head, So they're sending a message. Also,
I think a few b x nine related people are
sprinkled in here, like this episode so wildly like entrenched
(25:01):
in SVU and in Law and Order universes.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
It's crazy so.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Well because it's not only the crossover, but at the
time this showrunner two because he's the Maddie storyline too, right, Yes,
was it the same guy? You know, it's like so
much intertwinings is kind of.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
His yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
So we open up this SVU episode with an escrow
office in this tiny town in Ohio, Dublin, Ohio, and
it's hilarious. It's like all these coworkers are chatting. They're like,
what's going on with that little two bedroom bungalow and
it's like the bank is lagging I'll ping the guy
at Chase like it's just total like the most you know,
(25:40):
basic coworker banter.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
And then this woman comes out, this older woman comes out.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Holding accusatorily holding an empty container of strawberry Gavonnie and
she is pissed. It was the only one in the
fridge and it had her name on it, and what
the hell.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Is going on?
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Like fridge food stealing is such a like office job
thing that is so funny. And across the street we
see they're being surveilled by Southern District of New York
Federal agent Curtis McQuary and assists at US attorney Anya
Avital played by Kadiya Saraf who's been in a few
episodes of s View and we know famously as married
to Terry Cerpoco aka Tommy aka Chief McGrath in.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Real life and.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Is in the current season of Dexter, which we are
I am catching up with asap and Lisa is fully
entrenched in. But it is weird that these high level
agents are they seem to be alone doing this takeout,
like they're like across the street staring through blinds at
the scro company Like it's crazy, Like you would send
Lola would be the best.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Part of the job for me, Like sitting in a
van with just like a snack and some footage.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
I just waiting for to make a weird phone call. Yeah,
I would excel.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, yeah, And that's what I'm saying. It would be
low level field agents. I feel like doing that. It
wouldn't be like the bosses. But whatever, we want to
get screen time with the higher up so they can't
tell of all this talk about the yogurt is code
and it's like these would be the best actors on
the planet, Like this.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Is not code. These people are like these two investigators.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Are boring the office with no jokes, like it truly
is a mundane cubical vibe.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Yeah, they've got it down, like it's like the fluorescent lighting,
Like it's just boring cubicle talk and a small company
and they're getting nothing from these people. Jet is positive
that the server is there at the ESCRO office, and
Benson is just like, okay, we just like have to
be patient. But then as of course, the minute that
you say the word patients, it like conjures up Chief McGrath,
(27:37):
like he blows into the room and is like Benson
out here now, like needs to talk to Benson. She's
less than thrilled. She tells Bruno, rescue me. If I'm
going longer than a minute. So now McGrath is back
on his bullshit, pressuring Benson to close the case. Like
this case crosses a million time zones, it crosses multiple agencies.
It's like full Internet crime. It's involving Inner Pole, different countries,
(28:00):
and he's just like, close it up. It makes it's
so insane. And they're calling he says, all these agencies
are calling my cell NonStop.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
He looks tired, he looks stressed.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
He doesn't care about the larger operation really, he just
wants the glory for the five open rape cases in
New York City and one PP wants convictions and all
the shit that they normally say. And it's like this
is a literally a murder site that's up on the web,
and like we could find this guy. And you're like, nope,
we got to get these five convictions for New York.
And Benson's like, need I remind you? I forgot to
mention this. Things got ratcheted up a little bit on
(28:33):
the task Graberate website when a judge who was involved
in one of the cases of finding out who the
guy is the hacker is, is murdered, like shot through
the head broad daylight in his car like, so a
federal judge has been killed, and now it's like, okay,
this is huge again another reason why it's like, Okay,
the five New York rape cases are important, but like
(28:54):
this is a massive operation. Benson's like, do I have
to remind you that a judge was murdered and who's
a warrant like in this case? So this shadow hacker
is obviously watching the federal warrant system and he's probably
watching the NYPD as well, So are you cool with it?
Like if we just make it so we don't all
get murdered. So Benson says, we have to let this
guy think he's winning. If we arraign our purpose in
(29:15):
New York, he might put hits out on other judges
and Live is like, please patience, and this guy is
like so trumpy. He's just like we need to show strength,
like people need to see that the NYPD is being proactive.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
And it's like I don't know, and.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
It's all but it's all about what it looks like,
not what's actually happening. And it's like Benson's goals is
safety of people and justice for these victims, and like
safety of her coworkers and herself and and his is
just like, well, the bosses want attention in the news.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Yeah, She's just yeah, Well, Benson thinks about the greater
good and this guy kind of just thinks about his
own little like solar system. He's like, no, we need
to be proactive. I want all the New York City
purps arraigned and arrested today. It's like, I think they're
already arrested. But and so he storms out and Live
talks a little shit about him with Kevin Kine Akay Bruno,
(30:09):
and we move on, and now Jet is talking to Churlish.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
This is back, we have Churlish in these days. Who
I liked. I liked her.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
They kind of just like she's this is her last episode.
I think she's just kind of like gone after this.
And then I don't know, like whe the.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Way they said she went.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
But Cherlie's just talking to Jet about the guy they're
looking for, the super hacker in Ohio, and she can
and Jet's like, I can tell by the coding that
this guy is full of ego And she's like, what
are you?
Speaker 3 (30:35):
How does that even work?
Speaker 1 (30:37):
And she's like he's found a unique way to put
in shortcuts, like he's trying to validate his skill. So
Jet has the idea to fuck with this guy's server,
like give him a virus so that it will lag
and he has to come out and fix it. And
Cherlie's just like, ooh, can I help And she's like, yeah,
you know how to code and she's like no, I
don't even know how to boot up my laptop. And
she's like great, just keep me company. So these two
(30:59):
are starting a friend chip that I'll tell you goes nowhere.
We're now at a hotel room and one of the
rape victims from you know, the last episode of svu
UH is named Kate Wallace, and she's talking to her
mom and she's the mom is like so bad, She's
like such a nag, like her daughter's a victim, and
she's like, let's just get out of here.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Let's just go back to Columbus.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
And the girl's like, I'm not leaving New York until
they arrest my rapist and like I get some justice.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
This always happens with parents in these storylines of like
I need to get you out of this dumb city,
and it's like the rapists are in Columbus as well.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean and the same.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Institutions and then the same it's the same types of people,
and it's happening in your dumb town as well.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yeah yeah, I mean Columbus is dumb.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
New York is a I was just seeing some statistic
guy talking on online about how New York is a
very safe place to be. You there's almost like there's
very few fatal car accidents. There's uh very low chance
of being murdered. I think it's like much safer than
of course, you know, some news outlets will make you think.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
But nothing is more infuriating than people telling me how
unsafe New York is. I never felt unsafe now I'm like,
I'm here. Yeah, it's ah, did you see the new
same with Chicago. It's like get the fun, like leave
us alone, Yeah, leave us alone. Let's live in our cesspool,
you losers. I know that kid.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
I mean, I have rayel about the same things over
and over. But it's like kids in New York.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Get to eat at school for free, so we're better
than you.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
No, It's like it's like how like a friend of
mine just posted recently, like, of course they send the
National Guard into Chicago after holiday weekend. Which is notoriously
when crime goes up and people were like, no, no,
Chicago is so safe. That's why I left, and people
are like, I'm here, the crime has actually dropped. Like
it's like, I don't know, it's like what you're saying,
(32:54):
you're just like nobody listens to from places.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
It's also disingenuous, Yeah, because if you can about the
safety of people in Chicago, you would try to control
gun sales in Indiana, you know, like there, It's just
you wouldn't shut Robin Manuel didn't have to shut down
over fifty schools in like poorer neighborhoods. Like there's just
all these it's this ingenuous saying. You're trying like you
(33:18):
care about the safety of a place when you do
everything to make sure that place stays unsafe. Yeah, so
it's not like they actually care. They're like using it,
you know, for control and racism. I don't know, I
have no idea what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah, no, I hear you. Well, yeah, he's using it
to show force, like the way that this fucking McGrath
does it with like whatever.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Not listening to anything, Benson says.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Anyway, So this Columbus mom wants to get the hell
out of the cesspool New York City, and this girl's like, no,
I'm waiting for my Which it's funny because in the
show these things happen quickly, but in reality it's like, girl,
you'd be like moving to New York if you were
going to stay in town until your rapist is caught
and prosecuted, Like that's you know not, But in the show,
like she's just like, Mom, shut up, like I want
(34:06):
to stay here for that, And then the mom starts going,
this is all your ex boyfriend's fault, and her ex
boyfriend Gil is the one who made the hit on
her on the website, like he's the one that put
the hit out on her, And the mom's like what
did you ever see in him?
Speaker 3 (34:19):
And is like harping on it.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
It's like, bitch, your daughter's been through a massive trauma
and you're like, why did you even go out with
that guy? Like it's crazy. She can't handle it. She
goes out for her a little walk. Okay, she goes out.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
For a little walk. She's under a bridge, she's it's
a beautiful view. She's on the water.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
She stops though when she's walking as she's walking when
she sees a man sitting on a bench, and then
she stops herself for a second, and then she's like no,
like you're brave, like keep going, like you should like
not out loud, but like this is like internally what
it feels like she's going through, Like keep going, So
she keeps walking. She goes up to the railing, she's
(34:55):
looking out at the bridge. He comes up to her
while she's looking out at the water, and he's like, amazing, Huh,
it's incredible what people are capable of. And she's like
nodding and smiling because she thinks they're talking about like
the bridge and the modern marvels of structural engineering. Until fuck,
this guy grabs her by the back of her hair,
drags her away, like pushes her against a post that's
(35:15):
like more hidden, tells her to get on her knees
and says, I'll snap your neck if you scream. And
it's like, this is such a hard scene to watch
because we've all been there, Yeah, where you walk past
someone you don't like their vibes, you don't want to
be rude, and now you're in this situation you can't
get out of and your safety is compromised and like
(35:36):
no one's around.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
This is of all the graphic shit we watched. This
was the tension building in this and just all of it,
and the way he was pretending to be friendly, yeah,
tough watch.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, and also like he's almost like self aware that
he's like evil, Like he's just kind of like, isn't
it crazy what some people will do? And then he
attacks her, you know, like it's that's like doctor that's
Lex Luthor shit about say doctor Evil. I was, and
then I was like I say evil twice anyway you
(36:13):
We go out from to the credits being like, fuck,
this is not happening to Kate again, Like ouch, that's
that's a hard sell.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
On New York for Kate, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
So now at the top of act one, there's a
big press conference happening outside the courthouse and McGrath is
like going on this big like Dia tribe. It's like
this long speech about how evil exists in darkness and
you were gonna make you come to the light blah
blah blah. Benson and Stabler are there and we're cutting
back and forth between the arraignments of the five NYC
(36:43):
rape cases. While we keep while we keep getting some
of like McGrath's long dramatic speech about weaponized anonymity.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
It's like all coming in and out. So it's like
all very cinematic.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
So first we cut to the arrangment of Billy Vitally
who's asked for his plea and he goes, I did
it raper and the victim goes, yeah, you paid someone
else to do it and then watched you six son
of a bitch. It's like the fact that these guys
were all like, but I didn't do anything, Like it's
like you ordered it. This is not before there was technology.
You still got in trouble for ordering it. Charles Manson
(37:14):
never murdered anyone. He's in jail forever because he was
in charge of it, you know, Like and CARIESI has
to tell the defense counsel to remind his client he's
being charged for soliciting the crime, like please don't be
so dumb, like you're in court, like, don't be the
biggest dumbass of all time.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
In the next arrangement, it's actually a woman.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
It's a rich lady getting fifty thousand dollars bail and
her lawyer tries to argue, like, but she has a
stable job and no record in the judge goes, yeah,
and she ordered up the sex assault of her former
nanny like she was ordering a pizza. Bail has said
at fifty K and gotta love that judge. Next up
is Junior Suarez, a member of BX nine, who pleads
(37:53):
not guilty even though he set up the nanny to
be raped in the job in one of these jobs.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
As well, like maybe there's two nannies. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
I'm sorry, I'm confused about who did what. But Junior
Suarez is there. He's the guy that in his episode
he's in jail, he's in prison on dialysis, and he's like,
how could I have done anything? But he's like ordering
up these hits as well. All these defendants are pleading
not guilty and all asking for low bail as if
they're not deranged psychopaths, as if it's like not that
(38:23):
big of a deal that they did click clack click
and try to get somebody and successfully got somebody sexually assaulted.
Katie's rapist is next, this guy he gets remand then
her ex boyfriend Gil is up for the solicitation charge,
and he tells the judge, I thought the site.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Was a joke.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
It's like, and when they charged your credit card for
fifty thousand dollars, like you thought it was a joke.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
And he pleads not guilty. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
They're all pleading not guilty. Now we're at the hotel
where Kate is staying.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
What's the joke. I know you thought it.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Was like a guy goes and scares her and goes, boo,
you're sexually assaulted?
Speaker 3 (38:58):
What yeah, a photo? Like yeah, not seeing the joke there, Gil.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
And so now we're back at the hotel where Kate
is saying, and the cops are talking to this bitchy
mom and she's like, well, yeah, we were only staying
in town so Kate can go to trial. And then
she changed her mind about watching her rapist get arraigned.
And I don't know what happened. She went out yesterday
and she came back upset. So now they send in
the pros to talk to Kate. Right, it's Bruno talking
(39:25):
to her in finn and they're in her room. She's
she's in bed, it's dark. She's like, this is all
my fault. I knew the guy was bad, but I
didn't trust my instincts. She's reluctant to tell them anything
that happened, and then Finn goes, we got to talk
to us, so she's like okay, and she tells them
everything and that happened. She's like, I didn't want a
stereotype in based on what happened to her. The guy
(39:46):
who assaulted her second was also a black man, so
she's like, I didn't want a stereotype in based on
my previous attack, but you know, this guy sexually assaulted me.
Like she describes, like what happened, what we what we
all saw right up until it has And then she's like,
but then I got to give you guys something, and
she gives them the hoodie she was wearing, and she goes,
something in my head like this voice told me to
(40:08):
spit this rapist jiz.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Into the hood of my sweatshirt. So she got the
guy's DNA.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
So now the gang is back in the huddle and
McGrath is like raving mad about this attack on Kate
because he's like, anothery're rape in my city from this
shadow work guy. But Benson's like, I don't know the
m O was slightly off, like he didn't call her
by her name, there was no selfie, Like, this doesn't
seem like it's related. And they're still waiting on the DNA,
but let's get Kate to work with a sketch artist.
And then Benson said that she also sent detectives to
(40:37):
talk to her ex gill at Riker's. But Jet confirms
like there's no new posts on the website about Kate,
and McGrath's like, there are new posts, and it's like, yes, sir,
the site is still up, like and Churlish is like,
but we're working with the law enforcement in local areas,
like as the posts go up, you know, like we're
gonna stop crimes, hopefully before they happen. But McGrath is like,
(40:58):
is there anything we can do? And Churlish is like
Jet's working on a virus and Jets like like you know,
she's like, it's already written, it's ready to go. I
just need a few days for what we don't know.
McGrath is like, and wait for another judge to get killed.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Just do it now.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
You know this guy who knows nothing about computers at all,
and he's like, just install the virus.
Speaker 5 (41:18):
You know.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
So now at Rikers Munsey and we're back in the
Monthly Times. Munsey and Alasko are talking to Kate's ex Gill,
and he's like, he's shocked she.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Was attacked the second time.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
He's like, wait what and they're like, dude, you have
more to do with this. The site is in Ohio.
You're from Ohio, Ohio? Did you hire someone to sexually
assault Kate? And his lawyer is like, he's locked up here,
and they're like, well, clearly that hasn't stopped anyone from
committing any crimes if you've paid attention to this entire
string of cases. On the way out, Monsey asks what
(41:51):
is wrong with men? And honestly the central question of
the show. Munsey tells velasco, oh, can I tell you something?
Because I don't know what they were doing with these two,
Like you kind of felt like maybe they were gonna fuck,
but then I think they just ended up being like
brother and sister whatever.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
But she's like, I gotta tell something.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
It's just like a bag of nothing with an accent,
like truly.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
I.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
The fact that he got more time than Kat like
bothers me.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
I know, I know, I don't know what you know.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
It's like when somebody, like once in a while they'll
hire somebody for SNL and I'm like, Okay, I don't
see it, but I guess Lauren, does you know?
Speaker 3 (42:30):
Like I don't.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
I didn't see it with that guy, but uh, he
got definitely more time than Kat, and I thought Kat
was great.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Muncie tells Velasco about how McGrath pulled her aside to
congratulate her on nailing Elias Olsen. And this is a
guy that she nailed in the first episode of this saga.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Was the guy I forgot about the Elias element of all.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
Yes Too, Yes, So Elias was the guy that was
like the big like sort of like role that lived
in his house and was like killing people for his
dad or something like that. But he she had he
had gotten off because Monsey fucked up in court. She
had she had popped off in court, screamed at him.
The jury was deadlocked, so he got off. But then
in the episode Bad Things, she figured out a way
(43:17):
to get him. She brought him in humanely, she figured
out a way to get him. He's going to jail
for life. So McGrath has told Munsey, we you know,
your contribution to the department hasn't gone on notice, and
he offers her a job on a DEA task force.
This is obviously we know that the actress is being
furlowed out. She's come for her season and she's no
longer needed, and she's gonna think about it.
Speaker 3 (43:39):
And she asks Velaska. She goes, are you sad?
Speaker 1 (43:41):
And he goes no, And then she's like, can you
keep it a secret? And he goes, who what I
tell you? My only real friend. It's like, okay, I
don't know. These two have like weird emotions. Back at
the house, they're talking about Kate's second attack and it's
really not looking like it's connected to this site at all.
Monsey points out, well, you know, statistically, victims are more
prone to getting attacked a second time, and was like,
like twice in one week.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
That's kind of weird.
Speaker 1 (44:03):
And the guy's DNA is not in the system, and
Munsey wants to run them through viscap, but then they.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
Get a pretty good sketch of the guy from the artist.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
It's it's quite good, and Kate says that this guy's
at least six', six so someone that tall with like
a specific mug shot out or sketch out. There they're
gonna blast out his description to the news and socials
and see what they. Get, now the gang In New
york is watching footage of the surveillance op In. Ohio
we're still working on these little escro workers who are
(44:33):
all commenting about how slow the internet is.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
Moving jets virus is working so like they.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
Point, out, like what if this guy is just using
the server, Remotely like what if he's not connected to
anyone at the main office because they all have clean.
Records and McGrath is once again acting like an impatient little.
Child he's, like so we just, wait And churlish is, like,
yeah it's kind of like. Hunting does that do anything
for your male? Ego you know how you have to
like wait for the deer to come?
Speaker 3 (44:59):
Out And jet.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Explains jet explains to this adult that computer crimes cases
can take months and sometimes, years And benson's, like if
we move to, aggressively this guy will just shut down
the site. Forever and which one is longer waiting like a,
week a couple, months or.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Forever you.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
Know finn And bruno are Telling, kate we found out
That gil had nothing to do with, this and that
it was kind of just a random attack on, you and.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
She's like so. Upset she's like DO i look like a?
Speaker 1 (45:27):
Victim and the mom is, like it's the, city and she's,
like but is this just gonna keep happening to? Me
and they're like, no but it's possible that you might
have to relearn how to trust, yourself WHICH i thought
was like a sensitive way to you, know handle this
in this, situation because it's, like how do you tell
someone this has happened to you? Twice, like so like
(45:49):
they've done this before where someone's been attacked, twice, right,
like but usually much more time goes. By this is very,
traumatic and they tell her we'll keep you in the
loop about anything we find out about this. Guy on
the way, Out finn Tells bruno this guy's struck, again
same M o, description but this time the victim is
a fourteen year old. Boy so when they get, there
(46:10):
they go talk to this, boy his name Is. Manny
he doesn't Want he's, LIKE i didn't tell anyone to
call the. Cops he looks so upset and. Traumatized he,
finally this kid's a good, actor like he was making
me really. Upset and he tells them he's, LIKE i
was just sitting here waiting for the bus and this
black dude comes up to. Me he got really. Close
he said get on your knees and he. SAID i
tried to fight him, off but he was too. STRONG i,
mean this guy's six foot six and this is a
(46:31):
fourteen year.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Old kids just to be gener switch and age, like not.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
A type for this.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Criminal, yeah, yeah, yeah he doesn't care at. All it
seems he's just like a crime of opportunity and this
guy's like on a spree.
Speaker 3 (46:47):
Essentially so they.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Tell him we got to take you to the hospital
and get you checked, out and we got to tell your,
parents and that really freaks him. Out he's, LIKE i
didn't do anything, Wrong like my mom's gonna be mad at,
Me like why are you doing this to? Me, like
please let me go, home and you, know spoiler, alert
they don't let him. Back at the, Precinct stablers In
live's office while she's on the phone talking about this spree,
rapist And live gets off the phone and tells him
(47:11):
that it was forced oral. SODOMY i was yesterday's years
old WHEN i found out that sodomy is not just anal.
PENETRY i thought it was just ANAL i thought it
was like anything penetrating your, Anus but apparently it's any
sexual act involving the sex organs of one person and
the mouth or anus of. ANOTHER i didn't know. THAT
i didn't know mouth was in the sodomy, Realm so
(47:33):
NOW i. Know before they get further into their, convote
churlish comes to get. Lived there's trouble in hacker town
and McGrath is yelling At jet and we find out
that the hacker has to shut down the. Site McGrath
is being so rude To, jet he's blaming. Her stabler's,
like take it, easy But McGrath's, Like i'm not gonna
take it. Easy he's like popping off at everybody's, screaming
(47:53):
And benson's trying to tell, him, like, look we still
have eyes on the escro, place and he's, like oh,
great so we can a yogurt thief.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
Sorry like to act like this and continue to get
promotions to.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
Be at the top of YOUR i, mean, ugh, yeah.
Yeah he's so. Terrible he's screaming At benson and he's, like,
oh NOW i gotta go tell The feds That Judge,
ziegler the federal, judge was, murdered that his murderer just got,
Away and it's, Like, okay are The feds going to
start crying about?
Speaker 3 (48:24):
It why aren't?
Speaker 1 (48:24):
They they should be on the case also trying to
find the, Murderer like do they all personally Know Judge
ziggler because he's a federal, Judge, LIKE i don't, know
IT'S i guess it would be like we got to
go tell everyone That Judge petrotski just got, murdered like
we'd have to tell.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
People But jet, goes, well at.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
Least people aren't being raped and, murdered like she's trying
to look at the bright side of this murder rape
task rabbit being taken, down and he, goes nice, Work Sloute,
mocker good, job like really, sarcastically like he is not.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Serious she is not being offered a, promotion although she's
already gotten.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
One top Of act, three we're at the hospital With,
manny the fourteen year old victim of this spree rapist
and his mom who's on his, ass, GOING i told
you you got to be more, careful like she's in
his on his ass like it's really like too much yelling.
Speaker 3 (49:08):
For the hot parents are annoying that. Word, yeah he's
in a gown.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Like and Then finn And bruno mentioned something about the
rape kit and the mom's, like what do you what rape?
KIT i thought he got beat, up so obviously he
lied to his. Mom And bruno has to tell her
That manny was sexually assaulted and that they need to collect,
evidence and she's, like absolutely. NOT i can't hear, this
and neither will nobody. Else and she goes and she
asks her, son a teen, victim how can you be
a man?
Speaker 3 (49:32):
NOW i.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
DON'T i do not like her style of, parenting and
neither Does. Bruno he's, like CAN i talk to you, outside,
babe And finn's, like, LISTEN i Love.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
BRUNO i really. Do he's. GREAT i. Am, Yeah i'm
A bruno. Head, yeah he's. GREAT i love. Him he's
everything THAT i think they Thought molasca was. Giving he
was not. Giving bruno's.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Giving bruno asks to doctor, outside And finn stays With
manny and, goes, listen your mom's old.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
School she's. Proud.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
Man he's, like she's Worried i'm gay, now and and
like that's not how it.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
Works don't.
Speaker 1 (50:01):
Worry So bruno is talking to the mom outside and she's, like,
man he was born in this hospital and ever since,
Then i've been trying to raise a. Man And bruno, says,
well he will be a, man and what kind of
man is up to? Him and then she, asks do
you have, kids, detective so a little shout out to
our merch and he says, no BUT i had a
father who raised me the same way you're Raising, manny
(50:23):
and he thought it would make me, tough and it
only made me hate. Him the only way he becomes
a man is to heal and find peace and not
shame in what's happened to, him and then he might
be able to move past.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
THIS i think he gets through to her.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Somehow at the, Precinct amanda walks into the precinct like.
Pregnant she's pregnant With careesy's, baby and you, know lives
like live. LIKE i can't understand why there is there.
Is somebody told me what it's. Called The Rollins benson fan.
Fix somebody told me what it's, called BUT i. Forgot
but she does light up when she Sees. AMANDA i
(50:56):
think it's because Also marishka And Kelly gettish are friends
in real. Life but like she comes into the place
and she's, like you look. Beautiful, like so they go
To live's office and she casually Asks rollins to break
down this hackers end game since Now rollins is the
new criminal profiler on the show and she's still a
college professor at this. Point and she, says anyone this outwardly,
(51:17):
destructive it starts with, them like this site is his
sole reason for being. Alive he didn't take it down
to avoid. Arrest he doesn't care about. That he took
it down because it was sullied and tainted because of the,
virus and she thinks it will be back up. Again rollin,
says this guy isn't selling, Revenge she's taking revenge on the.
World SO i guess her thing is, like this isn't
(51:38):
a guy who's been like spurned by women and wants
like men to have an outlet to sexually assault or
even murder. People it's really a guy who's just, like
fuck the whole. WORLD i WANT i just want the
whole world to, suffer like The batman quote or. Whatever
that's like some people just want to watch the world,
burn Which Michael kaine says in his LITTLE I think he, goes.
Speaker 3 (52:01):
Some people just want to watch the world. Burn that's
My Michael caine.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
Impression benson, says you look like you're enjoying this and
are you sorry you? Left and she's, like, LISTEN i
love my, students but And benson's, like you love us,
more and she's, like my life could be so, easy
part time.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Teaching spending time with my, family but it's just not.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
Me and it's, like, also to be, Fair billy And
jesse do seem kind of, boring like they're not really.
GIVING i need to get home and be with these
kids all the time kind of. VIBES caresi doesn't know
that she wants to go back to work, yet, though So.
Olivia their conversation gets interrupted by a call To. Olivia done.
Done this serial rapist has just struck. Again this guy
(52:42):
is moving.
Speaker 5 (52:43):
Fast.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
Now it's that we're at a subway station And, Finn,
Bruno munsey And velaska are all on the.
Speaker 3 (52:48):
Scene they talk.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
To the, victim who's like a grown man who's also
a black, man so it's not like this guy Is
he's now attempted to rape people or rape somebody across,
genders ages and, races and he tells the. Cops he's, like,
yeah this guy told me to get on my, knees
BUT i don't get on my knees for, anybody AND
i carry a knife for. Protection so he stabbed the
(53:12):
guy in the gut and he points out a puddle of.
Blood so now we got to go check the hospitals
and the urgent care is looking for a guy with
like a stab wound to the ABDOMEN cariesi goes To
live's office and is, like how are. You she's, like,
Oh i've been up for twenty four. Hours i'm a
stale sandwich of a human. Being we don't usually get
that kind of dialogue From. Olivia it's kind of. Fun
(53:32):
careese's spiraling about bringing a kid into this world while
so many people are out there trying to burn it all.
Down benson, says your kid is going to bring more
joy into this world than that guy took. Out and it's, Like,
okay this is a guy who created a website that
multiple people have been murdered and raped from that kid
better bring a lot of joy into the.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
World if it's going to counter that much. Suffering that's
a lot of fucking.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
Suffering and then she's got to GIVE caoresi this pep,
talk like how good is it going to feel when
you get this guy for? Good and then she gets
a call that they found the serial rapist at an
urgent care. Uptown so now at the urgent, care the
guy's lying on the exam table almost like nodding. Off
finn And bruno walk. In this guy's lying. There his
Name's Randy, gordon and he, goes who are? You And bruno,
(54:13):
goes an, angel you're. Dead we've come to welcome you to.
Speaker 3 (54:15):
Heaven all.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
Right maybe it's not the funniest Thing i've ever, heard
but it's Getting we're getting a munch territory. There that
sounds like a, munchline AND i like. It the guy
is acting, clueless like why would the cops be? Here
he makes up a story about tripping on a box,
cutter and they're, like cut the, shit, Dude like you're
under arrest for three charges of criminal sex act in
the first AND i wonder why it's not, Rape like
why is he not charged with? Rape like is sodomy
(54:37):
considered a criminal sex?
Speaker 3 (54:38):
Act and?
Speaker 1 (54:39):
Not you, know like, THAT i feel, like H i
don't know why he's not charged with. Rape but, anyway they're,
like maybe you shouldn't have come to the clinic and
the guy. Goes the guy, goes it wasn't worth dying,
over and it's, like you're being very casual about the
fact that you've been on a sexual assault spree that
ended with you getting, stabbed and it's really, Weird like
(55:01):
this guy's vibe is very. Strange at the, precinct the, Gals, Munch,
churlish And jet are all in the break room And
munsey's telling her, like, oh, yeah That's bruno's. Yogurt have at.
It so yogurt theft is a recurring theme in this.
Episode they Compliment jet on getting. Promoted she just made
it to detective second, grade and she's, like, YEAH i
still don't know HOW i feel about, it because you,
know if you WATCH oc It all or you listen
(55:23):
to our interview With, ainsley Like jet's character is like
a hacker who likes doing, good but SHE i think
she also secretly is like a cabin doesn't really like
working for authority and, like you, know the institution of
police law. Enforcement so she's you, know doesn't know how
she feels about working her way up the, ranks And
churlish just like get that, bag, girl like get. Paid
(55:43):
you know it's gonna be more. Money take. It So jet.
Leaves munsey Tells churlish about her, promotion And munsey's, LIKE
i don't know If i'm going to take it BECAUSE
i Love. Benson she's always been so good to. Me
And churlish is, like, Listen benson And stabler are. Good
rawlins is here and she's. Fine people adapt and then she,
says you do you? Boo so you, KNOW i think
we find out That muncie takes the. Deal in the next,
(56:05):
Scene coureese is With kate and she easily Picks randy
out of the, lineup like this guy has now a
POSITIVE id from a victim PLUS dna at all three,
scenes so he better be pleading, guilty like we don't
have time for, this And cresey's like on behalf Of
New York. City he says To, KATE i hope you
can give us another, chance and she, Goes i'm not SURE.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
I can promise, that Mister, creasy.
Speaker 1 (56:27):
And, like to be, FAIR i don't think you'd catch
me in a city like WHERE i got sexually assaulted
twice in a, Week, like, no.
Speaker 5 (56:34):
Not.
Speaker 1 (56:34):
Happening kate Asks finn And, bruno like what happens, next
and they're, like this guy's going away for a long,
time And i'm, like let's be, real he'll probably be
out in like five. Years LIKE i just feel like
the nature of his, crimes LIKE i don't think he
would get a huge.
Speaker 3 (56:45):
Sentence but she throws them me if he gets five.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
Years, yeah she throws them An iHeart New york, keychain
And finn grabs it instead and steals it from you,
Know bruno and goes two slow money bags because let's
not Forget bruno down to. Earth but he did sue
the department and has now an expensive watch, Collection so
it's really.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
CRAZY i don't, know LIKE i think men love. Watches
it's like really. Crazy, Yeah AND i just am so
disconnected and checked out from that in any. Capacity but
when gut, around dude's talking. Watches it's probably how we
talk About. Bravo it's like so foreign to.
Speaker 1 (57:23):
Me, yeah and it's like they're only it's their only
form of, Jewelry SO i guess that's they're just so
that's where they're.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
Putting the money jewelry.
Speaker 1 (57:31):
Wise but they Tell kate she's gonna be, okay and she,
goes don't tell my. Mom when she feels, guilty she
stays off my back and they're, like we get, it
we've met.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
Her she's.
Speaker 1 (57:40):
Awful so in the next, Scene cariesie is Telling, Livin
stabler And finn That Randy gordon actually had seven victims
and he copped to all of. It so this, guy
they somehow found four more victims and he cops to
confessed and liv, goes, yeah he's looking at life with
no chance of, Parole And i'm, LIKE i just don't
(58:01):
have big the fat's a realistic, sentence like.
Speaker 3 (58:03):
From our justice. System i'm, like, yeah he rapes seven.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
PEOPLE i still think he's out in Twenty LIKE i
still don't think that they're keeping him in for life
with no chance of, Barol LIKE i don't. Know but
the good news is because he, Confessed manny doesn't have
to testify and so he can start on his healing,
journey And finn And creasy helean in my healing. Journey
finn And creasy call it a night and they Leave
(58:27):
benson And stabler hanging together and she's like like two
hunters in the same duck. Pond and WHEN i type,
THAT i actually wrote fuck pond by accident, First AND
i bet all You bensler horndogs wish that it was
a fuck. Pond they there's a lot Of benson And
stabler giving each other longing looks Like the thing is
(58:48):
is he never looked at her in the first twelve
seasons the way he looks at her when he comes
back in the Post kathy being. Dead he did not
used to look at her like with these longing eyes
and like big grins on his, face like this is
new twenty, twenties trolling the fans for the benchlur things
(59:09):
that they.
Speaker 2 (59:09):
He always like he's not a, fool like he's always
known she's, hot, Right LIKE i forgot someone wanted to
get with her and he's like, yeah get in, lie
or like, yeah, yeah, yeah you'll see lose. HER i
don't remember the. Line and it's obvious that she's hot
when they go, Undercover BUT i don't think He, YEAH
i don't think he would cheat on his, Wife LIKE
i don't think that was Really but then he did
(59:31):
kiss fucking what's her?
Speaker 3 (59:32):
Face but, yeah back they were on a. Break, yeah
but it's like JUST i don't.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
Know it's like it's just so different the way they
look at each other with these big walking. Smiles but
a decade has gone by and they're different people.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
Now SO i think he was always like she's a,
babe but, LIKE i don't think he.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
WAS i think he's like that liberal.
Speaker 2 (59:53):
Cut, no not, really but he's LIKE i gotta go To,
catholic LIKE i. FEEL i don't, know or maybe he
did want to bone her the whole, time and, YEAH
i don't, KNOW i don't see.
Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
IT i just didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
See, obviously there is, tension AND i think she had
moments of longing for.
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
HIM i.
Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Do, yes they both like have moments where they're looking
at each other for a little bit too, long like
the part in any movie where people two people would
kiss and it just keeps happening and it doesn't. Happen
but they're gonna just these two are just gonna tuck
in for a night of Watching Escrow island on the. Monitors,
okay they're still watching these like four people at. Work
so now they're Eating chinese together and they haven't paid
(01:00:32):
the electricity bill At New york AT nypd because there's
barely a light. On, yeah they've got a ton OF
i thought. THAT i, Go lisa's gonna love. This they're
like eating out of all These chinese food. Containers they're
talking about the.
Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Sauce something that's so communal about like eating lunch with,
coworkers like work. Lunch LIKE i just think about my
riscill on receptioning days or even on, SET i, guess
but it's like there's SOMETHING i don't know if it's
cause of school, lunch but there's something like cute about
it to.
Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Me, yeah, yeah, yeah it's, Yeah and like Regular, chinese
The chinese also kind of implies, that like we're all
having bites of we're all, sharing you, know we just
ordered a bunch of things and we're. Sharing it's like
very communal. Eating and we're here for the. Night, yeah
we are in so it's dark as hell and these
two are doing this and Then stabler out of nowhere
again more of What i'm talking about the ways he
(01:01:20):
would never. Talk ten twelve years, ago when he was
on the, show he, GOES i WISH i could bottle,
this and she's, like what and he's.
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
Like, THIS i hate this. Moment i'm like, WHAT I
i hate?
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Him like that's just that's like really not How stabler has.
Talked it just feels like they're really like. Leaning they're
just so leaning hard into like these two getting.
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
Together up to. Grief chop it up to. Grief you
don't chop, anything chop it up to.
Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Grief, Yeah like and he's just, LIKE i WISH i
couldottle this. Moment like if someone said that to, Me
i'd be, like, ew why are you being such a
Door LIKE i don't. Know that's just such a Dorky
like it's so overly sincere for, him for.
Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
Him, yeah she smiles at him and and he's like
and he's, like but things just keep, changing like things
are just. Changing and she's, like, yeah things are, changing
like it's like.
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
Whatever and then he changes the, subject is like you
like this new team you rebuilt around, here and she's like.
Yep and then he's like you talk To rollins and
she goes, yeah and boy did we need. It it's
LIKE i DON'T i don't really. Understand like the conversation
they had about her wanting to go back to work
doesn't really feel like it was like feels like it
was like a conversation Maybe rowlins needed to, have but
she makes it sound like it was like their friendship
(01:02:27):
was in a bad place and they needed to. Chat but,
ANYWAY i like that Even stabler was getting involved in
her And rollins's. Issues but he clocks The christmas gift
that's behind live it's like a Wrapped christmas gift and
asks about it and she's, like, oh that gift that's
From noah's half brother's adoptive, parents which is a. Lot
And stabler, goes, OH i, Know i've met, them the,
(01:02:48):
McCanns and she's, like, oh you met, Them like they're so.
Normal they're like A tv, family like so. Wholesome And stabler's, like,
yeah well that's easy to get when you're not dealing
with rape and murder every day like we, are you.
Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
Know and he's, like CAN i open?
Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
It and she's like, no and he's, like it's A
christmas present in the middle Of, may and he, Goes
i'm not gonna open, it But i'm gonna tell you
why you're not opening.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
It whatever's in this.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Box you're worried is too normal and it scares you
more than anything you'll ever face in your. Life WHAT
i don't even know what he's fucking talking, About, like
it's literally probably a LIKE i, mean we know what
it is now because we've seen the, episode BUT i was, thinking,
oh it's like a, trinket you, Know LIKE i don't
think it could be that. Traumatizing and she, goes, well thank,
(01:03:33):
you Doctor, STABLER i have. Normalitis and he's, like deflect
all you, want but it's the. Truth and he, goes
if it were, me i'd open, it and she, goes
you're not, me and then he goes detective detect. THYSELF
i don't even know what the fuck this dialogue. Is
Suddenly stabler grabs the. Remote there's nothing of note happening
on the, screen but he grabbed the remote and his
(01:03:54):
attention has been. Caught the blonde woman at The escro
place is like on the, phone going you're coming in?
Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Now oh it's five. O'clock we're all.
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Leaving and then we go back To, Anya avatal and,
McCrary who are watching the feed and at The escro,
company the blonde is telling everyone SOME it guys coming
over to check the, system And benson tells the Team,
okay when THE it guy shows, up it's go.
Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
Time so a car pulls.
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
In they're all, watching and The New york crew is
talking to The ohio crew over.
Speaker 3 (01:04:21):
Zoom or, whatever like you know video call they have.
Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
And they confirmed that THE it appointment was actually made for.
Tomorrow so, however this guy is is not the REAL it.
Guy so they run the plates and the car belongs
To Jacob beckincourt's a college student who goes To Kenyon,
college WHICH i know a lot of people have gone
there grade.
Speaker 3 (01:04:38):
School stabler. Goes that's about an hour From.
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Dublin you just know off the top of your head
how Far Kenyon college is From, Dublin. Ohio, okay it's
not A catholic, school Or i'd believe.
Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
It you, KNOW i.
Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Would understand if he knew Where kenyon. Was maybe you,
know he did some college tours the, Kids but The
dublin of it, all IT'S.
Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
I wonder where More green ended up going to college
after he fucked up and didn't send in the money
like the check for Her columbia.
Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
APPLICATION i wonder where she went, Anyway oh my.
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
God it's four.
Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
Twenty, okay sorry, guys but are you listening have.
Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
Fun this, Guy Jacob bettencourtz does it jobs for Task,
rabbit which is, LIKE i didn't even realize WHAT i
was calling. It the Task rabbit of like a rape
and murder site that they actually refer to the actual
task rabbit in. Here and it's funny because they're calling
a task rabbit when normally it would be, like, oh
(01:05:34):
it's for job, monkey you, know like they would make
up something different because they don't use real, websites like
they make up things like you, know friend face or
whatever face, union you. Know BUT i guess they got
some kind of promotional deal with Task. Rabbit the guy
walks into The escro place and The escro people are
all like immediately. Suspicious they're, like what company did you
(01:05:55):
say you're. From, MEANWHILE i think they'd normally just be,
like go fix. It we want to go out, here
like they're all talking about going to the ball and he's, like,
Oh i'm from task Grab. It i'll call your server
needs to be. Replaced and they're, like, well we didn't
call task grab. It but then the one guy at
the office is, like it's right back, here come with,
me and he's, LIKE i just want to get to
afterwork drinks at. McLellan's and this guy, goes no, Problem
i've got a new server in my. Car and then
(01:06:17):
he hooks up his computer to the. System you unless
you actually know code or something. LIKE i don't know
if this guy's doing anything sinister or, not but he
hooks up to the. Thing we see a bunch of
woop woop be bop bop happening on his, computer And
jet goes he's taking the server like he's about to
remove the server physically from this, office and if he
leaves with, it they have no. Evidence so they move.
(01:06:38):
In it's like, go go. Go they swarm The escrow.
Place everyone's screaming to people that work there are like
what they arrest the kid and McGrath Wants benson And
columbus like, immediately So stabler goes. Too at THE fbi
field office In, columbus they're talking To avatall and McCreary
like all The escrow office people are sitting there like
(01:07:00):
against the. Wall but apparently they've they've been pretty. Unhelpful
they don't know anything and they seem, clueless but they
also haven't lawyered, up so that's.
Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
Good we can still talk to.
Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
Them but Then jet calls and goes the site's back
up and it's running faster than, ever and there's probably
there's also something you should probably. SEE a new hit
is listed and, duh it's For benson And, stabler fifty k.
Each pictures of them in their little uniform like it's
Been it's, like if you're trying to get, it put
a hit On.
Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
Menson put her with her hair.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
Down it's her. Signature, look you know you got her
hair underneath her little police. HAT i JUST i don't
know if you've maybe like so many people to find.
Her so, anyway there's a bounty on both of their
heads for fifty k each on the site And benson,
goes who is this? Guy and To stabler and That's
dick Wolf.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
Baby.
Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
Now this episode concludes with THE oc episode with Many,
names where essentially they find out that the blonde woman
that works at The escro, Place how in the world
have we not actually done a deeper dive on all
of the employees', backgrounds has a seventeen year old son
Named kyle who teaches coding at summer camp every fucking
(01:08:11):
summer and is like a computer whiz and they like ask,
Her they're, like do you know any like buddy that's
like teen's early, twenties it's. Antisocial she's, like, NOPE i
don't know anybody like. That like she's boy momming. It
she's like covering for her. Son but they eventually find this.
Kid we see a backstory of him that he almost
took his own. Life he basically what happened was he's
set up Shadow work because he hates the world and
(01:08:34):
he wants to show everybody the true face of like
what people are really, like, right that's the point of.
It he feels like he's doing a service to humanity
and that Shadow work is going to be his.
Speaker 3 (01:08:44):
Legacy but he makes it and.
Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
At first no one's using, it and then as he
goes to take his own, life he's literally hanging from a.
Rope he sees that one person has done a post
on Shadow, work and he somehow manages to get down
and saves his own life because he's so excit that
this site is working and that was six months ago
and now he's just fucking letting Shadow work do its.
Thing they corner him at his old coating summer. Camp
(01:09:09):
they get, him not before he shoots one of THE
oc guys kind of like a hottie that people That
jet had a really special relationship, with and he gets
nicked in the. Neck spoiler alert if you're WATCH, oc
that's this is all in season. Three but he does
die eventually from his. Injuries but we Had Rick gonzalez
on our podcast who Plays Detective Bobby reyes and he's
like good friends with this with this other detective and
(01:09:32):
has to like hold his bloody wound and as he
first he becomes paralyzed from the waist down and then
he passes away in the.
Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
Hospital it's sadder than.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
That it's really he's like begging multiple people to please kill. Him,
yeah he's, like please pull the, plug LIKE i can't
live like. This and then they don't say, it but
we think his dad finally does. It but you know
he's gonna be taken out because he's talking about seeing
the northern, lights you. Know, yeah he's, like we're going on,
vacation and IT'S i the MOMENT i heard, THAT i was, like,
bitch you do not talk about vacations when you're about
(01:10:02):
to do a.
Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
Sting, yeah he's telling me.
Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
All about this exciting train trip Across canada And i'm, like,
dog you're never gonna see those. Lights so, anyway this fucking,
kid when they corner, him he.
Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Does like supuku or, whatever what's that. Called it's a.
Ritual it's a ritual suicide with a.
Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
Sword so this guy shoves a fucking samurai sword through
his uh mid, section but he.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Lives and then they bring him in and he has to.
Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
He has he basically doesn't want to give up the
site and he wants to keep it. Up and he's,
like you, guys can't really do anything to hurt me
BECAUSE i don't. Care but then they're, like, well we're
gonna charge your mom as a, conspirator and so that's
what gets him to as long as they leave his mom,
alone he'll take down the site and he's going to jail,
forever you. Know and when they find his like hideout
or whatever at the, camp he's got like all the
(01:10:54):
selfies that these people have, taken like all the selfies
that people have taken on this revenge, Site like he
has posted up like little.
Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
Trophies so he's a, sick sick.
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
PERSON i, mean And rollins is talking to the mom,
earlier and she's, like it's not your, fault, Sociopathy like
it's like it just, happens like you, know you can't
always like you, know she's there kind of trying to
absolve the mother of her guilt because kind of one
of the reasons why she's hiding him is because she
feels like she's failed him in every way now that
she finds out he's essentially a murderer by.
Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
Proxy so, anyway that's how it all.
Speaker 1 (01:11:28):
Ends we thought it was, this, LIKE i mean it
it is a master, hacker BUT i GUESS i kind
of thought it was gonna be some super mastermind and
it's just like a fucking seventeen year old in cel
who hates the.
Speaker 3 (01:11:36):
World, yeah so that's how it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:39):
Ends AND I i, mean it's a lot to invest
in a four episode arc that crosses multiple, franchises but.
Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
It is satisfying in the way that it was like
someone that works their's son and like the darkness of
the attack and the.
Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
SELFIEASON i just think.
Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
That THE fbi that would have been the first thing
they would have done is go through a full fucking
detailed profile of each one of the people that works
at that little. Business they're sitting there watching them still
yoga from each, other and no one's found out that
she has a psycho soun like that feels like like a,
hole but you know, WHATEVER i love finding. Holes but
ALSO i just, LIKE i do not mind a crossover.
(01:12:27):
EVENT i kind of like SOMETIMES i like even watching
a trial by jury or something like that to get
across the ping ponging back and forth where you're gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
Make me go here and then there and then here
and then there is like a little.
Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
MUCH i don't like a four part, arc but that
kind of story is like what they do ON. Oc
like ON, oc they'll usually be like a longer thing
where it's takes multiple episodes to find, somebody and, like you,
know if not a full, season you, Know i'm still
behind On this season OF oc THAT i just recapped
(01:12:59):
was the last THAT i, watch SO i have to.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
Wait, also the theme, Songs i've never really WATCHED, oc
and the theme song is jarring yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:13:07):
And uh In New York, city the Organized families of
crime or, whatever like CAN'T i.
Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
CAN'T i was, like what is this? Techno like it
kind of hit me in this kind of weird.
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Way it was sped. UP i don't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
KNOW i don't THINK i can watch organized, crime And
i'm obviously like a maloney. HEAD i like the, franchises
BUT i just can't do.
Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
It, YEAH i do like it WHEN i have like.
TIME i think it's more like a show that you,
binge like you sit and watch a few, episodes you,
know not like they don't stand alone the WAY spu, does.
Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
Where you can like pop in and pop. Out But
i'm excited to hear about these. Crimes, Okay so there
is three.
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
CASES i, mean if there's four, episodes there's gonna be
a few cases.
Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
And i'll get into.
Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
Them so the first one is the bas of mafia
darknet hitman, site and it wasn't. Real it's a, scam
but a bitch got, caught So christyla And. Falcons she
was living in Fallin, nevada and she used this website
to try to kill her ex. Husband she used twelve,
bitcoins which is like about five grand at the, time
(01:14:23):
which is twenty twenty three, lol so five, grand and
she spent months communicating with this the administrator of this
hitman site Called Beasa mafia and was arranging for this
murder of her ex. Husband she gave over his specific,
location and the site was operating as a hidden service
(01:14:46):
on the tour. Network we could PRETEND i know what that,
means but it's basically the dark.
Speaker 3 (01:14:52):
Web but it was a.
Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
Scam it was a, scam so she didn't get refunded
for the. Money people just want your. Money so these
little losers are hiring people to kill their, people but
it's a scam and they take the.
Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
Money she was not. Refunded the site is no longer in,
operation and she was sentenced to five.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Years SO i Guess gil was, LIKE I i JUST
i thought it was a. JOKE i just wanted to
give away fifty thousand, dollars like to.
Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Scammers, yeah it's.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Wild but Like Homeland, security like all all the government
people were involved in this.
Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
One and yeah you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
CAN'T i guess if you really want someone that, dead
it's just you can't trust another. Person if you want to,
murder you have to do. It yeah you're gonna get.
Caught you're gonna get. Caught people that hire other people
to murder usually get.
Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Caught mm. HMM i guess people that murder usually get caught.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Too so the next case is The Carl fanner, case
and he attacked three women on The Manhattan waterfront on
three separate. Occasions so it's based on that guy who
is six y. Six this happened Between march And november
twenty twenty. Two there were violent sexual assaults of women
that were walking or jogging in the. Mornings and So
(01:16:09):
march twenty, seventh twenty twenty, two it was at six,
am and he attacked a thirty nine year old woman
as she jogged along The Hudson River greenway Near pier
forty six In Greenwich. Village he was on a bike
and hopped, off tackled, her choked her before sexually assaulting,
her and then took her cell phone during the. Attack
and Then october, sixth twenty twenty, two he strikes again
(01:16:33):
five am and a forty eight year old woman as
she walked Near east thirty Seventh street AND Fdr drive In.
Midtown he approached her from behind and placed her in
a chokehold and ripped her jeans open before fleeing with
her credit card and cell. Phone and you, know a
lot of the city was really upset at how slow
the cops took at finding this. Person AND i want
(01:16:57):
to hate cops so. Bad but it also like it
must be hard to catch someone in a place with no,
care you, Know, like, yeah SO i see both sides
if his LIKE dna wasn't. Clicking but people were really
mad at the cops that it took this, long And
The times wrote an article about it as. Well november,
third twenty twenty, two five forty five, am he attacked
(01:17:19):
a forty three year old woman as she jogged along
The Hudson River, greenway this time Near pere forty five
In Greenwich. Village he grabbed her from behind and threw
her to the, ground choked, her raped her before fleeing
with her cell, phone credit, card and other. Belongings and
because of this, attack she ended up having a cervical
spinal fracture in her, neck rib fractures and a sternal,
(01:17:40):
fracture and a punctured. Lung and he was finally arrested
later that morning At Port authority bus terminal attempting to
get a bus ticket with her credit. Card so that's
how you catch, someone you. Know, yeah he pled, Guilty thank,
god so no child enough they he pled. Out So
(01:18:01):
On april twenty, ninth twenty twenty. Four he pled to
three counts of predatory sexual assault and two counts each
of criminal sexual act in the first, degree robbery in
the second, degree and strangulation in the second. Degree he
also pled to one count each of attempted murder in
the second, degree rape in the first, degree and robbery
in the first, degree and attempted rape in the first.
Speaker 3 (01:18:22):
Degree so a lot of. Degrees, yeah so many.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Degrees and he got twenty five years to life and
on top of, that if he does ever get, released
he gets ten years post release. Supervision SO i guess
in the episode while, watching we were, like we don't
believe the, sentence but it.
Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
Is what the person.
Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
Got he got how many twenty five years to life
and if released ten years post release?
Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
Supervision?
Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
Shit, yeah, okay all, right, OKAY i just feel like
we've seen.
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
Less he is a black, man so that might be
part of the sentence as, well and if he was
maybe it wouldn't have been if he was.
Speaker 1 (01:19:07):
White it's we can't ruin this young man's life just
because he did a couple of awful.
Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Crimes, yeah and if he was white and the women were,
black it would be, like here's a.
Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
REWARD i don't, Know.
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
So i'm as shocked as you, are but then not
because of all the racial. Implications BUT i am glad
this person got twenty five to. Life it didn't seem
like he would stop and, yeah fuck. You so the
next case is about a woman Named Michelle Suzanne, hadley
and she was a twenty nine year old graduate student
(01:19:43):
living In california when basically her ex was falsely accusing
her of allurid.
Speaker 3 (01:19:51):
Crime and THAT'S Nbc, newswords not.
Speaker 2 (01:19:53):
Me so by the time the case, unraveled like you,
know she was accused of the, stuff had to go to,
jail all these things are. Happening she ended up losing her,
job her. Reputation in this article, said and like most,
people her faith in law. Enforcement And i'm, LIKE i
think that's the least big deal of your, Aftermath like
you lost your job and everyone thinks you're a.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Criminal she loved the cops and now she's, like doesn't
know if she can even trust.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Them her faith in law.
Speaker 2 (01:20:20):
Enforcement so so she gets she's ends up in. Jail
she's charged with, stalking criminal, threats attempted, rape at with
a possible life sentence on the. Line the target Of michelle's,
crimes according to The Anaheim, police was a woman Named Angela,
diaz who had just recently married her ex and former,
(01:20:41):
Fiancee Ian, diaz who was A us.
Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
Marshal so that's kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:20:46):
Important So michelle was With ian for a couple of.
Years he's A us. Marshal they break, up he gets With,
angela But michelle And ian they are still tied together
because they own a. Car they, okay they are still
tied together because they own a condo. Together it's An
anaheim and they fought over this condo a. Lot, Okay
(01:21:10):
so they're fighting over this condo via email And hadley And,
diaz LIKE i, said together two. Years they ended their
Relationship august twenty, fifteen but he married a different, Woman,
Angela february twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
Sixteen that's.
Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
Quick, yeah that's meeting someone or overlap and like being
married within six. Months that's like pretty. Wild So september twenty,
Fifteen michelle Sends ian an email with biblical language in,
it things Like god's law being above all laws for
swords Of, gods that kind of.
Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
Stuff they both hire. Lawyers it's like a very tense.
Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
Time and then In may twenty, Sixteen ian's new wife
announces her, pregnancy and as soon as that, happens she
starts receiving emails that were a very threatening mean and
we're sent, anonymously but seemed like they were coming From,
michelle same religious. TONE i hope you're scared of death.
Tomorrow be, prepared don't, Sleep be watchful of the daughters Of.
(01:22:09):
God we will steal your child and we will watch
it as it.
Speaker 1 (01:22:13):
Dies So angela, religious so. Religious god's love is all around,
us isn't.
Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
It angela files a restraining order Against. MICHELLE a judge
granted it and Ordered michelle to stop Contacting, angela but
the emails continued and they became even more. Threatening june,
six twenty, sixteen she gets an email that, says you
will pay for. THIS i hope To god you are
ready for the. PAIN i will show you burn in
(01:22:41):
the fiery pits of hell, tonight as By god's law
you will be. Hurt i'm having a good time reading.
This two weeks, later they Arrest michelle for violating the restraining.
Order her parents bail her, out and then it gets even.
Worse someone is responding To craigslist rape fantasy, ads so
like it's basically, look men are looking for violent sexual.
(01:23:04):
Encounters one response to the ad, Said i'm dying for
this kind of fantasy to come. True pull me, down
choke and bruise, me have your way with. Me and
the address was The anaheim condo Where ian And angela were. Living,
Now angela said men were showing up to her. Home
one even attacked her and she had to fight him.
Off and they were all coming for this like Fake
(01:23:27):
craigslist rape fantasy ad that was being put.
Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
Out oh my, god this is just like what we
just talked about on another.
Speaker 3 (01:23:34):
Episode, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
Wild So anaheim police get. In michelle's Arrested july twenty,
sixteen and then she stays in jail for. Months she's
in prison for eighty eight. Days her parents decided that
instead of bailing her out, again that they would use
the money for a defense. Attorney so the parents and
the defense attorney get to. Work so they were using computer.
Forensics they were looking at the timing of emails and
(01:23:58):
they quickly Realized michelle is being fraand the police and
prosecutors came to the same conclusion almost immediately as. Well
So i'm. Confused why it took this. Long AND i
think him being A us marshal might have affected how
things were. Handled but it was the. Guy it was the.
Guy it Was it Was.
Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
Ian oh my, gosh this is on no number type,
shit this.
Speaker 3 (01:24:21):
One this will be a.
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
Lot of, references a lot of. References, yeah but, YEAH
i Was.
Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
Ian it Was.
Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
Ian AND i didn't know BECAUSE i gave a way
up top that she was accused that maybe you would
put it together AND i would be boring and should
have framed it all a different.
Speaker 3 (01:24:34):
Way but no. Idea And i'm glad you're, surprised like
you're writing this ship to your pregnant, Wife like that's so.
Deranged why it's so?
Speaker 2 (01:24:44):
RIGHT i didn't even think about the pregnant. Wife that's
even more. CRAZIER i was just, like what a?
Speaker 1 (01:24:49):
Psycho, yeah why was he doing it just to fucking
shit on his?
Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
Ex he wanted the, Condo so the. Condo this is
all over a. Condo why Does angela have to be
port of? This so, yeah he made.
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
It, see he made it seem Like michelle was luring
men to his home to sexually assault his then.
Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
Wife they're not, Together.
Speaker 2 (01:25:15):
Diaz Had hadley framed as a twisted plot together her
to walk away from the. Condo but there is evidence
That angela And Ian keather created the multiple online accounts
Using hadley's, name So angela was in on.
Speaker 1 (01:25:28):
It it wasn't Traumatizing, angela, okay so she had to
do some serious.
Speaker 2 (01:25:36):
Acting she had to go to the cops and be, like,
hell this is like, yeah but maybe at first he did.
IT i don't, know or she didn't know exactly what was.
Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
Going i'm not.
Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
Sure but they created the accounts, together, YEAH i. Guess,
yeah they enticed the men to do rape fantasy With.
Angela this isn't according to the. Indictment so, yeah, Damn
i'm like surprised by my own.
Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
Work.
Speaker 2 (01:25:57):
Okay so when the cops showed up To dia his
home On june, thirteenth twenty, sixteen he told officers That
hadley needs to be in fucking cuffs in a padded.
Room he also, said at what point does this girl
get arrested for sending this shit and hiring guys Off
craigslist to Rape? Angela that's THE nbc. News and then
On january, ninth twenty, seventeen Da Tony RECACAUCUS i don't, Know, Racaucus,
(01:26:22):
RACAUCUS i feel LIKE i just Said tourette's. RAB a
press conference was called and announced that she was innocent
and was just a victim of a diabolical. Scheme but
six years went by before any justice was. Served So
(01:26:45):
march twenty twenty, third finally a federal jury convicted the ex,
Boyfriend Ian, diaz a FORMER us. Deputy LIKE i said
that he set her, up and now he was found.
Guilty and the day he was, Convicted michelle gave birth
to her first. Child that was like a fun moment for, HER.
Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
A cool, day cool.
Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Day and so then he was sentenced to one hundred
and twenty one months of imprisonment and three years of supervised.
Speaker 3 (01:27:10):

guilty and was sentenced to five years in prison In
october twenty. Seventeen hadley did file a suit against the
city In anaheim and four of its police officers in
late twenty. Eighteen she alleged they rushed to charge her
based on clearly doctored emails in the. Suit according TO
(01:27:43):
Nbc news that at its, heart this is a case
about the blue wall of silence law enforcement officers and
officials enabling fellow officers to violate civilians. Rights, Wow and
that they did the bidding for a corrupt us marshal
and like it.
Speaker 1 (01:28:00):
Might have worked if she like didn't have a, Lawyer
like if she had like a public defender who was
overworked and like didn't get to look into all this.
Stuff like maybe they were banking on that that she
wasn't gonna spend, like you, know really higher good, counsel because,
like if you got people covering up your, shit he
could have gotten away with it if it wasn't for
you pesky.
Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
Lawyers, yeah she did accept a Settlement april twenty twenty.
One amount not disclosed since it's our tax dollars and
there is a dateline if you want to.

fucking condo and split the.
Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Money the condo's not that big of a. Thing, yeah so.

Person, Okay i'm gonna have to talk to him about.
Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
That do you pay attention to The dexter fandom like
theory is about The ripper and, okay all.
Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
Right, yes and it's very.
Speaker 1 (01:30:03):
ENTERTAINING i feel LIKE i want to take my earphones
out right, now like we're the both we're both the

spoiled it's.
Speaker 5 (01:30:15):
Fine well we'll have to meet again then after, NO
i know we'll have to the.
Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
Dance how long like choreo, wise how long did it
take you to learn that?
Speaker 5 (01:30:24):
Dance, well it's my? CHOREO i, yeah nobody has said.
Anything nobody said there there's a plan for. That they
just threw it at me and, said we trust you
do something good with. It AND, i of, course because it's,
ME i you, know really invested in it and spend
probably a few months just taking all the disco moves
(01:30:46):
and kind of putting them together in a way that
is also easy to learn and, visually you, know some
funny elements in there that you would not expect code too.
Speaker 2 (01:30:57):
WELL i also wasn't expecting the, fit like a pink
and red dress was very.
Speaker 5 (01:31:03):
Shocking that was the goal to be the complete opposite
to shock.
Speaker 3 (01:31:07):
People, No i've been telling.
Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
People with the, FINALE i felt such completion and like,
resolution but also. ANTICIPATION i think they did such a
good job of, like, YES i feel, good but, like,
oh so many, answers so many questions for next, year.
Speaker 5 (01:31:22):
Right, right so, many so many. Possibilities, yes AND i
don't even know if they know what's going to. Happen you,
know they're leaving a lot of possibilities for themselves as
well as. Writers so this is it was.
Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
Exciting, yeah, congrats that was that was.
Speaker 5 (01:31:38):
Huge thank.
Speaker 3 (01:31:39):
You, yeah the show that keeps on.
Speaker 1 (01:31:41):
Giving, Dexter so are you were you friends with a
lot of the casts you?
Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
Mentioned you, know just Just, David, okay Just.
Speaker 5 (01:31:47):
David. YEAH I i'm trying to think IF i knew anybody. Else,
no Just david And david who kind of nodged me
to check in on this role that he read in the,
script and that's HOW i kind of got my team
to try, to you, know get their hands on that
self tape. Invitation and, yeah in many ways he's the
(01:32:12):
one who he's the catalyst in.
Speaker 1 (01:32:13):
This SO i like that you were just talking about
getting like weaseling your way into getting the self tape or,
whatever BECAUSE i kind of was interested in reading about
your career and how you came to The states to
be an actor and then you sort of like had
kids and got like a little sidelined and started. Later
(01:32:33):
AND i like sort of love hearing about people getting
going in like their true calling a little bit later in.
Life SO i just wanted to hear a little bit
about that from, you like, YOU i, mean getting YOUR
SVU arc was probably one of your first major.
Speaker 5 (01:32:50):
Things, YEAH svu was the first recurring and it was
a self. Tape it was in an Office Jonathan, strauss
his office called me and for so many things for
years and they're really you, know they're they advocate for
the FOR us. Actors and that tape came. In it
(01:33:11):
seemed like one of those THAT i just threw away and,
Said i'm not going to get it. Anyway just put
another one in the books AND i ad libbed a little.
BIT i just made it my own AND i booked
it and it was very, exciting AND i showed up
on set and just the idea of having something that's
recurring was really exciting for, me and just being on
(01:33:33):
set that day was just so incredible to see how
everything works on, THAT i, mean legendary. Show. Yeah AND
i also felt like NOW i can officially call myself
A New york. Actor, YES i was on. That and
my daughter just Wrapped law And. Order she just did
a guest appearance on the original. Original how she's getting
(01:33:57):
her Sex she's going to be seventeen In. December, Wow
so she's going to get her sack card and first
Job law And. Order she's already set to.
Speaker 2 (01:34:05):
Go and does she ask you for? Advice do you
guys do tapes? Together is it like a team get
out of my?
Speaker 5 (01:34:10):
Face, no not at. All we WHEN i, started WHEN
i came back to, acting my kids were very, little
so they were my. READERS i did my scenes with
them all these. Years so they're watching this. Happen we're
we're studying with the same teacher With Bob krakauer self.
TAPES i, mean we're set up here for self. Tapes
(01:34:31):
and you, know it was one of those scripts that
we saw that there's potential and we kind of broke
it down together and did. This did the scene? Work
and she's she's so, Good but you, know.
Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
We're getting into the family.
Speaker 5 (01:34:46):
Business, yeah and my husband was also on.
Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
Five the most one of the most unlikable characters of the.
Show oh but you saw you saw past? It, WELL
i read your Guys's New York. Times really, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:35:06):
Well i'm trying to.
Speaker 1 (01:35:07):
See, Yeah, like our podcast had been going on for
about seven months when Your New York times article came
out about your, wedding and like the number of people
who sent it to, us it was like hundreds of
people were sending it to, us and we were, like
oh my, god we're going to get them on the
pod one.
Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
Day so here we. Are we've got you.
Speaker 1 (01:35:24):
On you did seven episodes OF svu and you were
also in LIKE Oc.
Speaker 3 (01:35:28):
Cross hopefully more.
Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
Coming there's more With, yeah they got to get.
Speaker 3 (01:35:32):
More with the eighty AS i, mean the speaking.
Speaker 5 (01:35:36):
Attorney but, wait.
Speaker 3 (01:35:37):
But personal cases. Too she's really. RIGHT i.
Speaker 5 (01:35:42):
Turned SO i think it's just because we loved each
other so. Much they want to wanted to bring me.
Back so in some you know, STORYLINE i went to
to be like a high powered attorney and THEN i
came back as he was attorney AND i, Said i'm
not even going to ask legally Works and even on
set it was so funny BECAUSE i remember in that
(01:36:04):
scene where we're raiding the office where the server. IS
i rated that with, them WHAT us attorney raids with THE.
Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
Fbi, yeah it was all, Like, also you're A us
attorney and you're just like on a stakeout doing the grunt.
Work like looking at these people in The escro office
argue about. Yogurt i'm, like this woman would not be
doing this like she.
Speaker 3 (01:36:28):
IS i was.
Speaker 5 (01:36:29):
Cute and it was also funny on set because the
first ad, said, okay we need all THE fbi, agents
and for some, reason THE us, Attorney, oh he was
just you know, thing, obviously we love having you. Here
so you're here and you're gonna raid this place with everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:36:44):
Else they were crossing over, franchises they're crossing over, agencies
they were just crossing.
Speaker 3 (01:36:48):
Over it was a. Lot it's all.
Speaker 2 (01:36:50):
Good but in the article it said it was like
a slow burn in the department for you. Guys so
you didn't have a crush at. All you weren't, like oh.
Speaker 5 (01:37:00):
NO i wasn't. Looking in, FACT i told him when
he reached out to my, MANAGER i told HIM i
don't date on. SET i don't drink alcohol And i'm
not going to sleep with, you so what do you?
Want so he just, said, well a, COFFEE i. Guess
and it took another month until we. Met and it
(01:37:21):
was very slow because at that time in my LIFE
i had no intention of just dating for the sake of.
DATING i really wanted to be intentional and ask questions
BECAUSE i have a closet filled with red flags THAT
i just collect, generally SO i wanted this time to
be different and ask those questions and be very upfront
(01:37:41):
about certain. Things and of, course you, know life also
brings things to the forefront when you start. Dating but,
yeah it was very, slow and then suddenly it was very.
Fast so we got married less than a year after we.
Met which is.
Speaker 1 (01:37:58):
Did you meet on your first like time on set FOR,
Svu like it was like a couple episodes after you've done.
Speaker 5 (01:38:03):
That, no you, know it was the first day and
it was the press conference in which he did not
remember the name that he was supposed to, announce and
he wrote it on a piece of paper and put
it on the, podium And i'm thinking he's a recurring
actor and he is not. Memorized it was just a.
Name it was like two first names or something that
(01:38:24):
he just couldn't you. Know sometimes it's just like it
trips you. Up, YEAH i thought to, myself the, hohotspa
this guy has to write another piece of. Paper you
can do that and people don't judge you on, Set,
okay just, ME i judge. Him but he had to
make way For marishka For benson to, speak so he
moved towards my direction and then he stepped on my
foot and had to turn and. Apologize he's very. Shy
(01:38:49):
he's Not terry is.
Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
Not, yeah that's what it said in that, article AND i,
mean obviously it's, acting but, YEAH i couldn't imagine him
being like a shy guy.
Speaker 5 (01:39:00):
He's in real. Life is he's Very, yeah he's. SHY
i mean initially he's, shy but he's definitely the opposite of, McGrath.
Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
Who's they always just Give benson a.
Speaker 3 (01:39:11):
Man she has, to you.
Speaker 2 (01:39:12):
Know prove birth to and respect and time and time,
again and they just don't listen to.
Speaker 5 (01:39:18):
Her but things changed, now right in the new, season
so the woman, Showrunner, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:39:24):
Yeah we're excited to see where that. Goes and you're
back this.
Speaker 5 (01:39:27):
Season I'M i don't, KNOW i Mean i'm open to the.
Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
Casting ears are very happy to see what goes down
with the new show.
Speaker 5 (01:39:39):
Running, well, wait how long does a use? Attorney it's
four year.
Speaker 1 (01:39:42):
Term, OH i think if she comes, back she's coming
back as like a, lawyer probably right, lawyer.
Speaker 5 (01:39:48):
Or EVEN i don't, know maybe a hitman.
Speaker 1 (01:39:52):
Involved in, something involved in. SOMETHING i, mean, listen your
husband has been five different characters the, show, right so
you could be back for you could be back like
in a year as a completely an, assassin you, know
like who knows that's.
Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
True you could be back as a totally different.
Speaker 1 (01:40:10):
Person you've played like so many like just glancing at YOUR, IMDb,
like BECAUSE i don't watch every one of these, shows
but like a lot OF us attorney chief, detectives like like,
cops and you've been ON Fbi international Blue, bloods like
all these different cop. Shows, right what do you think
it is about you that gives off such a copy.
Speaker 5 (01:40:31):
Vibe it's not my, wardrobe that's for, SURE i would.
Say just that's the WAY i walk into the. Room
Either i'm going to kick someone's ass or or be
paid a lot of. MONEY i, Guess, yeah that's how
that's HOW i walk into a. Room usually that's the.
Speaker 2 (01:40:49):
Energy has Playing detectives And cops changed or made you
understand like a perspective that you didn't or not, REALLY.
Speaker 5 (01:40:58):
I would say Playing claudette has yes because of, that
because see with because there's so many more episodes to
dive into that are the storyline is a lot. MORE
i mean there's a, beginning, middle and. End And i'm
not a guest that comes in to complete the. Story
(01:41:19):
i'm part of the. STORY i got a chance to
really dive. Deep And i'm now actually studying At John.
Jay i'm studying With Professor Lewis, schlessinger who is THE
og Of research on Serial killers whoa. Filing, yeah and he's.
TEACHING i actually heard him on a. Podcast he was
a guest on the, podcast AND i just googled him
(01:41:40):
AND i saw a number AND i left him a
message AND i, said, WELL i would really love to
pick your brain and then realize maybe it's not the
right term to, you but here's my. Number and he
called me up and we talked on the, phone and
then we audited a class and Now i'm in his
forensic psychology. Class oh my, god wait say his name.
Again Professor lewis l O U I. S SCHLESSINGER, S,
(01:42:06):
YEAH i got.
Speaker 2 (01:42:07):
It so are you going like a few times a?
Speaker 5 (01:42:10):
Week like once a. Week it's just this one chorus
on zoom And i'm DOING i have to do a
paper on a serial. Killer and they told, me you,
know you don't have to because you're NOT i, know
BUT i want. To, Yeah so Now i'm doing. That
so doing this and auditing his class and picking his,
brain that's so cool made me understand MAYBE i understand,
(01:42:35):
sociopathy made me understand. Psychopathy this is something also that
when the original show was, out we didn't understand that
it was just like the bad, Guys and now we
see the. Layers we see you know that there are
sociopaths living among, us wanting to, belong to be part of.
Society AND i, think you, know working of, Course i'm
(01:42:58):
learning a lot about lawyers and the system playing us
attorney and. Lawyers but HERE i had an opportunity to
kind of to step into a personal, element like what
are my reasons to do something like? This why WOULD
i choose such a? Profession what is my you, know
(01:43:20):
what is my not white? Whale but what is my absolute?
Death IF i don't achieve as a. Character and these
things made me ask a lot of questions and call
different precincts and talk to detectives and ask them, questions
and you, know and apparently nobody's really excited about me
playing in the show UNLESS i tell them which one of?
THEY i, Thought i'd, Say i'm an actress And i'm
(01:43:43):
playing on the. Show And i'm, like, okay what do you?
Want that's a few? Questions, sure email.
Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
What so what are, like do you remember any of
the things you learned from the detectives and the calls
you made outside of the?
Speaker 5 (01:43:57):
Professor, yes the one DETECTIVE i spoke. To first of
all the, grades the different, grades you, know there's all
the steps you have to climb in terms of how
long you've been a, detective what kind of cases you
would take. On but what really was interesting this man
was so jolly on the, call AND i asked, him,
(01:44:20):
like you're dealing with homicide all? Day what is how
are you still so? Jolly you sound so? Happy and he,
Said i'm retiring in a few. Months but apparently in
their forties they, retire you, know they have that, opportunity and,
YEAH i don't know it's really. Interesting Even Professor, schlessinger
he's such an innocent not, innocent but he has this
(01:44:42):
innocence AND i don't, know like childlike awe about him
and joy THAT I i don't know how he still maintains,
after you, know interviewing all these.
Speaker 1 (01:44:56):
KILLERS i think it's like like a compartmentalization on another
level from but it has.
Speaker 5 (01:45:00):
To, be it has to, Be.
Speaker 2 (01:45:02):
Yea but also maybe it's like dealing with all these,
sociopaths you connect more with your own humanity or like
you're able to see goodness more and like the absence
of this.
Speaker 3 (01:45:14):
Sociology or psycho.
Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
Sociopathic LIKE i wonder if once you see someone that's so,
empty you're able to like touch a closer into your own.
Speaker 3 (01:45:25):
Humanity, wait AS i was.
Speaker 1 (01:45:27):
Just looking in preparation for, THIS i didn't realize you
And terry have writing credit or like story by credit
for the episode jumped.
Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
In so how did that come? About you guys were.
Speaker 5 (01:45:40):
LIKE i think we're the first in the history of
the show in fact. Actors, yeah so what? HAPPENED i
started LEARNING aso four years, ago and AS i was
learning the, LANGUAGE i started learning about the deaf. Culture
which is inseparable from the, lang which and The it
(01:46:03):
was just crazy to hear the numbers of deaf people
who get sexually. Assaulted, yeah and the numbers are, staggering
and that approximately maybe the numbers, changed but approximately five
percent report the, assault which is a very low. Number
(01:46:25):
and the reason for that is that from reporting to achieving,
justice they are reliving the trauma over and over and
over again because there's no one that can understand. Them
there's not. Many the access to interpretation is very. SCARCE
i hope that has changed since, then AND i wanted
(01:46:49):
TO i reached out to this. ORGANIZATION i SAID i
would really love to hear some. Stories AND i think
they did their due diligence and found out That i'm
on the show and wrote me, back don't touch this
because you guys do it wrong all the. Time you came,
out you come out as. Heroes you don't tell our stories.
Accurately SO i Approached David, graziano who was the showrunner
(01:47:12):
at the, time AND i told, him, look there's a
story to tell here that can actually make a. Difference
but we ass few as law enforcement and the justice
department in the, Show we're going to have to hold ourselves,
Accountable so we're going to have to admit something's not
working and how do we change? This and they welcomed
(01:47:37):
it with open. Arms it was an incredible, experience AND
i was able to give notes on the scripts ahead of.
Time and you, know there were certain Things terry AND
i had a story in, mind but of, course you,
know they have to continue with their a. Story but
there were certain things that were really. Important for, example
the lack of access to an. Interpreter SOMETIMES i have
(01:48:00):
to sit and wait for hours until one arrives and
then they just go. Home lack of patience from the,
interpreter or not understanding the verbiage when it comes to sexual,
assault so many. Things, yeah It's i'm so so proud of,
it and the feedback THAT i got from the community is.
POSITIVE i, MEAN i, would of course would love to
(01:48:23):
continue expanding on the topic and have a deaf character
on the, show and BUT i consider this a. Win
AND i have to say that the collaborative space was
very inspiring and very moving to.
Speaker 3 (01:48:38):
Me that's so cool that you very did that like that.
Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
That, yeah have you always been a very good? Student,
yeah it's like.
Speaker 1 (01:48:50):
Impressive, YEAH i remember this episode Where Cameron mannheim is doing.
Speaker 3 (01:48:56):
That, now did she know the sign?
Speaker 5 (01:48:58):
Language she? Does she's been. SIGNING i think she's an
interpreter as. Well she signed All law And order as,
well where one of the interviews the interrogations were in
sign language and she was.
Speaker 1 (01:49:09):
Interpreting that thing is sort of so perfect because she
was just starting on the New law And. Order probably, right, perfect.
Speaker 5 (01:49:16):
It's, Perfect but also that was if that scene wasn't done,
correctly we would have lost all of the death. Viewers,
yeah the good. Way, yeah because the lack of availability
and when somebody walks into the precinct to, report that
is what makes them usually walk. Away and she was.
(01:49:36):
Available so if you notice in that episode she, says
just so you, know To, benson this is not. Normal
i'm happy to, help but this is Not this is not.
Normal this doesn't happen that someone is available and can.
Help and you know that's that was a back and forth.
Conversation this is great that she's crossing over into our,
show but we have to make sure that we highlight
(01:49:58):
because that is the end, point entry. Point this is
exactly the one thing that's going to be a make
or break for a successful you, know attempt of.
Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
Justice can you give us some like maybe scoop fun stories.
Speaker 5 (01:50:14):
That are oh my.
Speaker 1 (01:50:16):
GOD i Mean marishka and her husband came to your.
Wedding how excited they.
Speaker 5 (01:50:20):
DID i think they posted on your wedding was small. Vacation,
yeah they postponed air. VACATION i, mean she's the. Reason you,
know she's the. Matchmaker we call her the. Matchmaker apparently
sv brings a lot of couples. Together yeah and, yeah
behind and also behind the, scenes there's a lot of.
Couples so she has this she's a magical Fairy.
Speaker 3 (01:50:44):
Marishka, YEAH i kind of like Iving Taylor swift at your.
Wedding she, Came.
Speaker 5 (01:50:51):
She came to her, wedding and apparently it took way
too long for me to come out of or come
with the, car come down the. AISLE i didn't know
that people waiting for three? Hours she, said three. HOURS
i don't her faster, MAYBE i, mean it was a nice.
Day it was, outdoors you, know AND i definitely don't
didn't have a concept of time that. Day but it
(01:51:11):
was very special that they. Came, yeah very. Special oh fun, experiences.
Speaker 2 (01:51:17):
Cold, facts, yeah, Tea, yeah we like to. Learn he
recently had a great tweet about marriage THAT i was.
Into he said everyone always asked me advice on how
he stayed married for twenty five. Years he, GOES i
know how to be married to my, wife not your.
Speaker 5 (01:51:33):
Wife, wow that's like. Smart let me tell you something
about ice tea.
Speaker 3 (01:51:40):

really know it was based on, that and like maybe
that's probably not something the director told them to. Do
but she like took a full criminal justice class for
Her Dexter resurrection.

because you only want it in one little. Spot you
don't really need it in the rest of your forehead
not gon What. Jesus although it is like it did
like sneak up on me THAT i even needed, it

Funny they were, shocked BUT i.
Speaker 2 (01:59:57):
Said lars And lisa are the most vapid people and housewives,
history AND i was like they like everyone, gasped AND
i was, like, whatever.
Speaker 3 (02:00:06):
How is that?
Speaker 2 (02:00:06):
Not how is that shocking to? ANYONE i don't know.
That maybe it was like very. Rude maybe it was
more rude and Like i'm harsh than they anticipated coming
out of my. Mouth LIKE i don't know what it,
was but they all seemed, shocked And i'm, like.
Speaker 1 (02:00:18):
YEAH i guess like you could just be like they're
just like kind of, clueless but you're just like went
straight to, vapid which is.
Speaker 2 (02:00:24):
Yeah, YEAH i think THAT i, said like they have
their empty, vessels is WHAT i?
Speaker 3 (02:00:28):

afraid to.
Speaker 1 (02:00:51):

Speaker 1 (02:00:59):
Had A i guess this is a nightmare episode of
like fucking.
Speaker 3 (02:01:04):
Higher, okay like many Different why AM i, Franchises like.
Speaker 1 (02:01:12):
Yes it's like a two four episode art that ping
pongs between two, franchises like very crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:01:19):
Files of the world and The anger and the thing
and the. GUY i JUST i Don't, yeah men need
to stop with the, violence like well the CAN.
Speaker 1 (02:01:30):
I you probably saw this because this was on your
best Friend's instagram this. Morning so she posted this video
that was from, TikTok and the TikTok's user's name Is
kristen nineteen forty. Two but, uh she had this like
(02:01:50):
amazing point in her video that was like the reason
that you don't see women sectioning off into faction of
like fringe factions what like you do with, men like
with in cells and like the psycho guys that are
coding and making a website about murdering. People WHICH i
(02:02:11):
know that this is pretty fictional within the, episode but
this is definitely a real life kind of, character like
a guy who feels like the world is against him or.
Whatever the reason you don't see that with women is
like women come together over, actual real, problems like their reproductive,
rights domestic, violence like the pay, gap like we. Have
women have actual issues and they come together to commiserate
(02:02:32):
and to enact policy change and try to make those
things better for. People and a lot of the problems
that men have in these groups are perceived, problems like
that women won't date. You there's no, pot like she,
goes there's no policy that can make women date. You
there's no policy that can be enacted to make you
get more praise that you think you're deserved or that you're,
(02:02:53):
owed you know WHAT i. Mean AND i was, like
that's so, True like there are not ultra fringe groups
that really involve women because they women have actual fucking
problems and they take steps to fix, them whereas these
guys just are like creating their invented problems and making
groups so that they can commiserate about their invented.
Speaker 3 (02:03:15):
Problems well, yeah AND.
Speaker 2 (02:03:19):
I feel Like i've said this, before but women are
like what CAN i do? Differently you, know like a
lot of self improvement self help for us is like
we're always, growing what can we do? Better and dudes are, like,
well can't be my, Fault like there's no, OH i
should go to.
Speaker 3 (02:03:38):
Therapy it's like you should suck my. Dick you. Know
it's like kind of.
Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
Crazy, yeah it's like it's the problem IS i mean
there's women, racists of.
Speaker 1 (02:03:47):
Course but it's like the women are, creed but in
terms of like forming groups like in cells and, gropers.
Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
And they're blaming everyone for their non.
Speaker 2 (02:03:57):
Success you, know it's like they don't have it because
these people are taking it from. Them then titlement to
all of these. Things while women are, LIKE i Guess
i'll get a. Cat, yeah it's just like you, said,
NO i don't.
Speaker 3 (02:04:09):
Know they're just so.
Speaker 2 (02:04:10):
Annoying it's so. Crazy it's, like, yeah you're gonna be
alone with a, Cat and people are, like all, right
we'll be alone with cats and they're, like.
Speaker 3 (02:04:17):
What the fuck's? Stop you, know actually you can't be
alone with a? Cat oh my. God.
Speaker 1 (02:04:24):
Whatever, yeah this, guy the kid character that they ends
up being the killer and the creator of the website
is like an absolute nightmare and, SADLY i feel like
a very real character living in our.
Speaker 3 (02:04:36):
Country BUT i was glad That live And.
Speaker 1 (02:04:42):
Stabler could team up to get his ass and finally
figure out what was going on with that That scrow.
Speaker 3 (02:04:49):
Company they were really making me.
Speaker 1 (02:04:50):
Laugh the yogurt stealing and just the like are you
not coming with us to mccallahans or, Whatever like just
funny little office politics. Stuff but, yeah if you know
an angry team that's just spending a lot of time,
coding just check in on, THEM i. Guess but that's
