You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
Speaker 5 (00:21):
Good Monday morning, so nice to have you with us
on the forty seven Morning Update and hear the big
stories we're covering today. First up, it has been one
year since the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump and
Butler Pennsylvania. The President set down to do an interview
on that and many other issues, and oddly enough, he
wasn't too worried about the assassination attempt. He's more worried
(00:42):
about putting Americans first, and we'll have that for you
in just a moment. Also, Democrats got to go to Alcatrez,
you know, Alligator Alcatraz, and what do they do? They
freaked out and they lied. Tom Homan set the record
straight of what actually is happening at Alligator Alcatraz, and
we have the details for you. But first I want
(01:02):
to talk to you about starting my day. I do
it every morning with an amazing cup of Crockett coffee.
If you want unbelievable coffee every morning, then I got
to introduce you to Crockett Coffee. And I just had
my first cup a few moments ago. I've got a
cup of coffee every moment when I'm doing this show.
Crockett Coffee is roasted perfection in small batches on purpose
(01:23):
by experts that love the taste of amazing coffee. It's
roasted in our nation's heartland and delivered fresh to your
home or office. And if you want to drink coffee
every morning that makes you feel like you're outside by
a campfire, then you gotta check out the aroma of
Krockett coffee. It brews in your home or your office
and you're going to love it.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Now.
Speaker 5 (01:43):
This is premium coffee. If you want an average cup
of coffee, do not order Krockett coffee. There is also
one other thing I love. It is owned by great conservatives,
fellow Patriots, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. They came up
with this idea and their two guys that never sell out.
So if you're ready to have a great cup of coffee,
(02:04):
then choose between the fresh ground, the whole bean or
the k cups. And if you're instead of mushroom coffee
and the positive benefits that come with that, you can
also check that out at Crockett Coffee. Now, I want
to save you some money right now, go online to
Crockettcoffee dot Com. Use my name Ben. You're gonna get

forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Story number one.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
It has been one year since the assassination attempt on
Donald Trump. Donald Trump looking back at that year, making
it clear that he is doing this job now for
the American people, and it's clear that he has a
mission to do what he promised, which was to put
Americans first. The president was asked about that one year
since Butler Pennsylvania in an interview that he did with
(03:13):
his daughter in law on Fox News Channel. And I
want you to hear what the President had to say
looking back over the last year.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
But they briefed me, and I'm satisfied with it. I'm
satisfied with it. They should have had somebody in the building.
That was a mistake. They should have had communications with
the local police. They weren't tied in, and they should
have been tied in. So there were mistakes made and
that you know, shouldn't have happened. And that building was
a prime building in terms of what they were trying
to do. So but I was satisfied in terms of
(03:43):
the bigger plot, the larger plot.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
I was satisfied.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
And you know, I have great confidence in these people.
I know the people and they're very talented, very capable.
That they had a bad day, and I think they'll
admit that had a rough day. This is a very
dangerous job being president, you know, I say, a race
guard driver one percent of one percent, think of that die.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
It's not a lot a bull rider. I think that's
pretty dangerous.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
It's like one tenth of one percent die, and with
a president's like five percent.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Why didn't you tell me this?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I could have maybe made a different decision, but I
wouldn't have made a different decision because we're doing so well.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
The country's back.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
The country's back. The President of the United States of
America making it clear that he has a mission, a
mission statement, and his mission is to protect Americans and
put Americans first. He also had this to say about
a what he wants for the future of this country.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
A lot of people look at what you've done, though,
and they say, had you not had four years in between,
maybe all this success would not be possible.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Do you agree with that? Well, experience is very important
in life.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
I think talent is more important than experience, But if
you can have them both somehow, it's a very good thing.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
But experience is very important. I think it also helped.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
It was very bad for the country, but it also
helped to have four years of horror. What went before
me was horror, and by comparison, I think anything looks good,
and I don't want it to mean what we've done,
because we've done a lot of records, but what they've
done to our country should never be forgiven. Allowing millions
(05:25):
and millions of people to come into our country that
shouldn't be here.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
It's such a big aspect of what.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
We're doing now with the borders, and it could have
been so easy. When I gave over the country, the
border was great. Now it's better than it was, but
it was much worse than it was in twenty sixteen
when I took it over.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
That was a border problem also.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
But I think when people see the horror show that
we had for four years, an absolute horror show. They
tried to kill it was almost like they tried to
kill our country. And the beautiful thing is now we
have the hottest country in the world the present.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Making it clear, I have a lot to do. I
have a legacy. I am working for the American people.
I am doing things. For example, the Big Beautiful Bill,
which is going to help Americans, and I made it
a reality, another part of his commitment to the American people.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
It's unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
It's the most incredible bill, one of the most incredible
bills ever passed, and it's the biggest.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
It's the biggest bill.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Of its kind ever passed, and we have to talk
about it when you think about no tax on tips,
no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime, a
big tax cut in addition to that, plus we're saving
the tax cut.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
That we made years ago, which is big.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
It expired in another couple of months that would have expired,
they would have had a sixty eight percent tax increase.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
And now they have a tax cut.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
And you have to explain that to people, because you
know the public, they're driving a cab, they're working as
a lawyer, accountant, or a teacher, or doing it any
one of a million different things.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
They're not into it like we are.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
You have to explain it, so every chance you get,
because what they do is they set a phony.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
You know, they're fake. The Democrats are fake.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
They're part of the fake news, and the fake news
will take it and they'll go with it.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
It's unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
I love this president how quickly he moves on from
a question like, hey, year ago, they tried to kill you.
He's making jokes. He is making jokes and going back
to what he's trying to do put together an incredible
administration with an incredible cabinet that is doing incredible things
for the American people.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
We have really good people this time, and they get
along with each other, they love each other, they love
the country, and it's smoother.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
I think it's smoother.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
You know, we did a lot of people thought my
first term was phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
I did. I thought.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
You know, we got the largest tax cut in history,
the biggest tax cut in history, the biggest regulation cuts
in history by four times. Nobody even came close. We
rebuilt our military. They gave some of it away to Afghanistan,
and one of the most embarrassing moments ever. But you know,
we we terminated ISIS was one gone and terminated. They
(08:12):
started making a little bit of a comeback since Biden
got in, as you know, but they were gone, and
we'll take care of it. But now we're doing things
that maybe are on even a different level.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Now.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
It's been especially this last couple of weeks, has been
pretty amazing.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
Protecting Americans, standing up for Americans, protecting us at the border,
protecting us with taxes, protecting us from terrorists. That's what
the president wants.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
You to remember about it now. Story number two.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
President Donald Trump made it very clear when he was
running for president, if you vote for him, he's going
to secure the southern border and also have the largest
deportation this country has ever seen of illegal immigrants. The
President holding true to that promise, regardless of how much
the media tax him. Which brings us to the big
story about Alligator Alcatraz. It is simply the Everglades Detention Center.
(09:03):
It's located at the Dad Callier Airport in the Florida Everglades,
and the facility has actually been nicknamed Alligator Alcatraz. And
that's where the media lost their minds now. It began
operations on July third. It's intended to hold up to
five thousand immigration to dainees. As of today, lawmakers and
the press have visited under tight restrictions. Democrat officials infuriated,
(09:28):
describing it as quote vile, horrible, and citing overcrowded cages,
lack of sanitation, extreme heat, worm infested food, flooding toilets,
and restricted legal access. The reality that's all a lot
the Trump administration. Republican officials have defended it, saying it
(09:50):
meets standards and it serves a deterrent, and plans exist
to replicate this model in other states, doubling down now.
It's currently a flashpoint in the immigration debate, praise by
many like myself who support the present saying this is
effective in condemning illegal immigration, even as Democrats quote unquote
(10:12):
call it inhumane. Well, the President of the United States
of America making it clear, sending out Tom Holman to
do TV to talk about immigration and also Alligator Alcatraz,
and he set the record straight with Dana bash On
see it in take a listen.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
I do want to turn to what is going on
in Florida, and that is what the administration, what you
call Alligator Alcatraz, was visited by Democratic members of Congress yesterday.
They were given limited access. And this, of course is
a new detention facility set up by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
(10:52):
What these congress people described was sweltering heat, bug and infestations,
meager meals. They say, they heard detail needs crying out
for help. The wife of one man detained there said
he's not been given access to a lawyer. He's been
in detention for about two weeks. Is that acceptable to you?
And is that what you're saying when you go, I
(11:12):
have not been there.
Speaker 6 (11:13):
Yet, and I doubt a lot of that's factual. I mean,
bottom line is, you know from the day one I've
been doing this job since nineteen eighty four, detainees complain
about the conditions of detention. And I said this many times.
You can simply go to ICE dot GUB and look
at the detention standards ICE has. They have the highest
attention standards in the industry. But these same congressmen that
(11:35):
complaining about alligator alcatracts, you didn't see him complaining about
under Biden administration people being held in borbitual parking lot
surrounded by a fence and the swacter heat. Not a word.
You didn't hear a word about half a million children
being trafficked in the country and them not being able
to locate three hundred thousand. President Trump, this administration is
finding thousands of those children. So you know, they have
(11:57):
a lot of anger under President Trump and how we're
doing business. And they ignored four years of open borders,
historic migrant death, historic Americans dying from fatanhl, historic numbers
and women chilling me a sex traffic, historic number of
people on Jervis's coming across the border. Silence, silence because
they're complicit. But they didn't take the administration on and
(12:17):
ask them security border. You can't have strong national security
in this country if we don't have border security. We
got to know who's coming and what's coming to where's coming. Well,
instead they kept silent, and they kept feeding the American people.
We have a secure border, and we did.
Speaker 5 (12:31):
Not tom home and make it clear that Trump officials
have given him a job. And reportedly they arrested thirty
thousand undocumented migrants in June, the Trump administration putting out
the new numbers, saying that this was a significant escalation
in immigration enforcement. According to ICE data, now, the surge
(12:52):
reflects a focus on detaining individuals, with over fourteen thousand
convicted criminals nine eight hundred facing pending charges. Among those
apprehended since January, only about eighteen thousands so far have
actually been deported, highlighting a gap due to overcrowded attention
(13:12):
facilities and pending asylum cases, yet again proving the point
of just how many illegal immigrants were allowed into the country. Now,
you may ask, what is the reason behind Alcatraz? Right,
this alligator Alcatraz is the media keeps freaking out over.
It's obviously meant to be a deterrent. Do not break
(13:33):
in to the United States of America. If you do,
we will come after you. Dana Bash also asking Homan
about this and listen to his response.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
In communities and sanctuary cities.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Well, you just said that there are called collateral arrests
and that is sparking fear in communities where people are
again scared to go out. Well, I guess my question
is do you have compassion for those people who are
seeing what's going on hearing you speak, seeing what's happening
(14:09):
in their neighborhoods, shouldn't have any concern, but do just
because of.
Speaker 6 (14:14):
The reality data. The bottom line is if you want
less collabor arrest and let us in the jail, I
mean we want to arrest a bad guy in the
safety and security of the accounty jail, with sanctuary cities
or releasing in the community, which means we've got to
go to the community and find him. And when we
find that bad person, many many times, whether it's at
the work site or in the community, they're with other people.
(14:35):
Other people in the United States illegally and We're going
to let ICE enforce law, uphold the ohth they took.
We're not going to be like the last administration who
told Ice instructed Ice you can't arrest somebody for simply
being here illegally. They got to be convicted of a
serious offense. That's not the law, says we're enforcing the law.
But look, immigration enforcement, I'm going to be clear. Immigration
(14:55):
force has always been emotional. It's always been controversial. I've
been doing this since nineteen eighty four. I get it,
and I understand why people want to come to the
greatest nation on Earth. I get it. Well, we can
send the message to the whole world it's okay to
enter this countryly. You don't worry about it. Emails of
crime coming enter I legally, and when you get order
removal from a judge, you don't have to leave. You
(15:17):
can become effusitive and we'll never look for it. We
got to send a message the whole world. There are
consequences of breaking laws, and I think that's why one
of the reason we have the most secure boarder in
history of this nation today. It's just not because we've
got boots on the ground on the border, not because
we end the catcher leaves a lot of its consequences.
You're watching what's happening, We're enforcing the immigration law, and
(15:38):
I think that consequence has a lot to do with
having the most secure border in the history of this nation.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
Having the most secure border in the history of this nation,
exactly what President Donald Trump promised, and now we're seeing
the numbers backing it up.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
