Speaker 1 (00:01):
Are you going to deploy marines in California.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
We'll see what happens. I mean, I think we have
it very well under control. I think it would have
been a very bad situation. It was heading in the
wrong direction. It's now heading in the right direction. And
we hope to have the support of Gavin because Gavin's
the big beneficiary as we straighten out his problems. I mean,
his state is a mess.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Good Tuesday morning. Welcome, it is the forty seven Morning Update,
and we have one big story for you today. Gavin
Newsom says it's not an insurrection in California, but he
is wanting to sue the President of the United States
of America, suing Trump for what he says is the
legal takeover of the California National Guard. Legal experts say

(00:47):
Gavin Newsom's gonna lose this battle, but it doesn't matter
because he's decided to put politics over public safety. We're
also going to talk about this spreading and is this
organic or is this just another summer of rage being
paid for by the radical left that we saw under
Black Lives Matter and Finally, what is the president saying

(01:10):
in response to all of this? You're gonna hear his
own words. It's the forty seven Morning Update, and it
starts right now.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Story number one.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Anarchy and chaos continuing to erupt in LA and now
coming to a city near you. In fact, it's almost
likely seen this before in the summer of rage with
Black Lives Matter protests that popped up all over the country. Well,
now in LA, they're not going after the actual bad
guys that are attacking law enforcement. No, no, no, they're

(01:41):
now coming after Donald Trump and threatening to sue the governor,
making this his political stand. Let me just remind you
what the same Democrats were saying over the weekend. Elizabeth
Warren was saying it was just, you know, peaceful protests.
Kamala Harris refer to it overwhelmingly peaceful protests. Corey Booker

(02:03):
said it was a peaceful protest again on the Sunday
morning shows, and Gavin Newsom said that the anarchy you're
seeing right now on TV is quote under control. Even
the Los Angeles Police Department line saying it was quote
a weekend you know, without incident quote unquote. So how

(02:24):
did it change? So quickly. We're now California is saying
they're suing Donald Trump and they're angry that Donald Trump
set in the National Guard. Now, I want to play
for you. Donald Trump, in his own words, asked about
two different things, one about setting in the National Guard
and two Gavin Newsom in California threatening to sue Donald Trump.

(02:46):
That's right. They're not going after the rapists or the terrorists.
They're not going after the human smugglers, the sex traffickers.
They're not going after those that are selling FETNL that
is killing more Americans my age than anything else in
this country's history. No, no, no, Instead, they're doing what
democrats do well. They're suing Donald Trump.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
When you were talking about unrest in American cities, you said, quote,
we have to go by the laws. We can't call
in the National Guard unless we're requested by a governor.
What change now, why is this situation different to not
consult with governor? Knew some about the Well, the.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Biggest change from that statement is we have an incompetent governor.
So I talked about governors, but I didn't talk about
he's an incompetent governor. Look at the job he's doing
in California. He's destroying one of our great states. And
if I didn't get involved, if we didn't bring the
guard in, and we would bring more in if we
needed it, because we have to make sure there's going
to be law and order. You had a disaster happening,

(03:44):
and they now admit it was a disaster. I watched
the chief yesterday. It was a good man, by the way,
and he said, well, we're lucky we did this, because
they would They were overwhelmed. You saw what was happening,
So we did the right thing. Everybody agrees to that.
But you have a governor who let the city burn
down and didn't want water to be sent down to
im and I sent billions of gallons of water. I

(04:08):
wanted to do it in the first term. We wouldn't
do it over I don't know they have environmental reasons,
but there were no environmental reasons. It's I think it's
just a political philosophy. But it's lucky for the people
in Los Angeles and in California that we did what
we did. We got it just in time. It's still
simmering a little bit. Primary crime is running for governor

(04:30):
because he's done such a bad job. What he's done
to that state is like what Biden did to this country,
and that's pretty bad. It's a wrong philosophy. Thousands, hundreds
of thousands of illegal immigrants, many of them prisoners. They
are taking up your health care, they're taking up your
space and schools, they're taking up your hospital and in

(04:50):
many cases they're criminals, and we have to do something
about it, and we're doing something about it. I want
to thank the incredible patriots of Ice and Tom Holman
who's been incredible, and Christinome likewise incredible the job they're doing.
And it's like an unforced eraror there was no reason
for this. Twenty one million people were allowed into our

(05:12):
country and many of those people were criminals, and it's
a shame. It's a shame, but we're getting them out.
And I will say I think it's a ninety five
to five issue, just like so many other issues, ninety
five to five, and the Democrats lost an election in
a landslide because they're on the wrong side of the issues.
I mean, it's not even conceivable that somebody would do

(05:36):
the kind of things that he did. And then you know,
you talk about projects they want to build a train
going from San Francisco to la and it's costing hundreds
of billions of dollars more than they thought it was
going to cost. It's not even believable to bread and
to people sitting here. Would you believe that a train
it was going to cost X dollars that it might
be one hundred times X would have paid for this

(05:59):
for about fifty million American children. You're right, fifty million
American children. Instead of a three mile train track that
never got built. We could have put Lincoln in judge
with no experience. He would have done a good job.
I guarantee you that, please, Peter.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
So it seems like Gavin Newsom likes the attention that
he's getting right now. From I do, it seems like
he does. He If you look at recent history, somebody
who was running for president you who got arrested and
had a mugshot, you could make the argument that politically
that wound up helping you. Are you worried at all
at this moment, but talking about him getting arrested could

(06:41):
be helpful to his political prospects because a lot of
people think he wants to be sitting right where you.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Are, well in my case, it was a witch hunt
and everybody knew it, and I was able to explain
that during the process, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here
right now, And it was a total witch hunt. Has
proven to be a witch hunt. And you see what's
happened in his case. It really is very obvious to
look at what's happened between the fires. Between it. I
could name ten things right now. We talk about the trains,

(07:07):
we talk about all of the costs in California, you
talk about all of the people that are flowing and
destroying life for everyone else. So no, I don't think
it's going to help them. I think it's actually very
bad for him.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
And right around the time that we were walking in here,
the governor and the state attorney general said that they're
going to sue you for sending the National Guard. And
they're saying there's no invasion, there's no rebellion. The president
is trying to manufacture chaos and crisis on the ground
for his own political ends. Federalizing the California National Guard
is an abuse of the president's authority under law.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, you know, it's interesting, you watched the same clips
as I did, cars burning all over the place, people
riding and by the way we stopped it, we were
able to make it much better, but it still looked
pretty bad. And in watching clips last night, people were saying,
this is really a big problem until we went in.
If we didn't do the job, that place would be
burning down, just like the houses burned down. They were

(08:05):
in big trouble last night, Peter, you know it, and
the night before and the night before that. And I
feel we had no choice. I don't want to see
I don't want to see happen what happened so many
times in this country. I watched Minneapolis burn, I watched
look at what happened in so many different parts of California.
You take a look at what happened in San Diego.

(08:26):
There's so many different places where we let it burn.
We want to be politically correct, We wanted to be nice.
We want to be nice to the criminal, and what
you're doing is destroying the fabric of our life in
this country. Now, we did the right thing. We've been
given credit for by people that I would least suspect why.
I would say that some of the people that came

(08:47):
in and said thank goodness, they said some of them.
Thank God that Trump got involved, and I'm very happy
I got involved, and I think Gavin, in his own way,
is probably happy I got involved.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
You go ahead, But what do you make of the
fact that he says, you want a civil war on
the streets of America.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
No, that's just the opposite. I don't want a civil war.
Civil war would happen if you left it, if you
left it to people like him. And I liked him,
you know, I always got along with him, never had
a problem with him. But he's grossly incompetent.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
One thing's for sure, Donald Trump is not backing down.
He is going to protect American citizens, even in sanctuary cities,
Which brings me the second part of the conversation, what
is going to happen next? It is very clear that
the Democrats and their donors are going to help spread
all of this chaos to many other cities. As I'm

(09:41):
doing the show right now, we are seeing protests pop
up from Florida to Texas and pretty much now everywhere
in between. There is no doubt that the Democratic Party
is behind this, and they're mega donors. This is what
they do. I also want to say this, expect a
lot more of this to happen in the days and

(10:02):
the weeks ahead. Democrats believe that law and orders should
not take place in their sanctuary cities. In fact, they
want this chaos so they can blame it on Donald Trump,
which brings me to Christie no. Christy Nome, the Department
of Homeland Security secretary, came out and had this to
say about what's happening in LA. Listen carefully to the

(10:25):
words she chooses as she's explaining what's happening with the
leaders there.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
Yeah, well, absolutely mean that's Sean. Those are the people
we're going after. I mean, those are our targets today
we head over four to five hundred targets we were
going after. There were known members of gangs in LA
that have been victimizing people for years that Gavin Newsom
has done absolutely nothing about.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
That.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
Mayor Bass has done absolutely nothing about Listen. I served
with her in Congress before she was ever mayor, and
she is a train wreck of a mayor now that
is endorsing these kind of activities, has allowed her city
to be completely devastated with crime, and now she's holding
press conferences talking about the fact that people have the
right to peacefully protest and that they're a city of immigrants. Well,

(11:09):
they're not a city of immigrants, they're a city of
criminals because she has protected them for so many years.
And so we're coming in and doing what the President
has said that he's going to do, and he's going
to allow people to live in a safe community again,
and we're going to use the authority that he has
as president of the United States to conduct these operations.
And the more that people conduct violence against law enforcement officers, boy,

(11:32):
we're going to hit him back, and we're going to
hit him back harder than we ever had before. And
we conducted more operations today than we did the day before,
and tomorrow we're going to double those efforts again. The
more that they protest and commit acts of violence against
law enforcement officers, the harder ice is going to kind
of come after them. Because these people are patriots. These
ice officers are people who are fighting for their country

(11:55):
and I'm so proud of them. They've acted with dignity,
they've acted with grace under stressful situations, and when they've
been disrespected, they've responded appropriately under the law to make
sure that they were treating every single individual the same
and making sure that due process was followed and that
they were doing their jobs. So this is an unfortunate

(12:16):
situation that we see violence and instigators out there, but
the President Trump is really dedicated to bringing peace again.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Christine Noman's right. LA is not a city of immigrants.
They are a city of criminals under the mayor's protection,
and she protected them for so many years that this
anarchy and chaos is now the reality. I will also
say it again and remember this moment. The Democratic Party
is going to do everything they can to turn La

(12:44):
into the test case. They're going to learn from what
they've done, and they're going to move this to other cities.
They're going to act like it's organic. It is pre planned,
well organized, and paid for by the radical left that
cares more or about illegal immigrants than those in this
country that are actually American citizens. And that's exactly who

(13:08):
Donald Trump is trying to protect.
