my girl Dre and the Cold from Poor Minds and
our brother DC Young Fly eighty five South and we
are backstage with back Woods and we got our girl.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
A Kia with us today. You all right? We all
had Dreamville twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Sol. First of all, let me say this because we
are having a full circle moment, right he yes, So
for the people watching me Andrea have a concept that
we have called Poor Soul Karaoke that we partner with
eighty five South on and we have people come and
you know, seeing their hearts out, you know, to win
some money and things like that.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And Akia here actually participated in Poor Yes, I did.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yes, you like to.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
See you again?

Speaker 5 (00:59):
So you're not I did serious about what I would do, Yeah,
I would get serious.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Stage. Now, look, you had Dreamville performing, so obviously tell
us what's been up between that time period.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
So when I did that, that was about a year
or two ago.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
I had just I was fresh to Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I was doing artist development.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
So for a whole year I had been doing artist development,
doing shows, selling tickets, you know, doing all this stuff
studio and I just dropped my first ep. It's called Dumb.
You know, we all be a little dumb by these
niggas and ship and all that ship. Yeah yeah, so yeah,

(01:51):
And it's just a blessing to be here, especially coming
from where I'm from. It's not many opportunities. So once
you get an opportunity, you just got to take it
round with it. So you said that you would describe
your sound a mix of R and B and pop
with a little softful.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
So explain that to us.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I mean, I really can't put myself in a box
because I really can do it all.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Like I can sing.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
If you want to hear some soul for like some
Beyonce or some Mary, I can. I could take you there,
or if y'all want to go pop. So yeah, it's
really no limit to what I can do. So I'm
just blessed to be able to do that.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
So with all these different generals of music, like where
did this inspiration come from? Because you know, now they
you got these artists, they only stick with what they know.
You rarely see a musician, a real artist who really
go out there and you know what I'm saying, try
to perfect the craft.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
A lot of people be saying church is missing, and
I feel like that's kind of true right where you're going,
because my mama used to make me go to church
every Sunday. I'm talking about Mama.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
My hair hurt.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
God gonna fix okay, right, okay, Sunday school in all.
So it's just taking that. And you know the older
artists that we have, like Mary Kisha, Coole, Beyonce, I
grew up listening to them.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
My grandma was a DJ. They call her DJ sugar Bell,
sugar be sugar Bell know what that means. Yes, no
bad story behind sugar Bell, right.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
So yeah, it's just so they kind of molded me
into who I am.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
And I like all type of music.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
So I know, if I can sing this and sound
like this, I'm not gonna put myself in a box.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I'm it all so.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Okay, So what would you say would be your dream collaboration?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I like Tink. I think me and Tink would come
up with every time.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Every time we do something like this, the music, it
always happened.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Okay okay now, And so yeah, think I think hunch O,
me and Huncho would do something great. Thing is like
I want to get back to those singers and rappers,

(04:21):
but the singer they singing a hook like, there's not
many songs like that today. So I want to kind of,
you know, tap in with all the rappers. Come holl
let me do a little one too for y'all.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
So yeah, So we always talk about like artists that
people want to collaborate with, But what's your like dream
producer that you would want to work with?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Dream producer, I mean, hey, it's already in the works.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's already about the you know.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Well, I don't really know if he produced or or
he just right, but like the dream, it's.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
That's on the way.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
You know, Oh my gosh, that's already, that's gonna hit
the charts.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Producer. I think me and hit Makup will make some.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Okay, But I don't work with a lot of producers,
so I feel like it's I mean, it's some people
that I ain't worked with.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
They got a name, but I don't work with some
big names.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
So okay, okay, So what do you have coming up?
Like what are your goals and what are you actually doing?

Speaker 2 (05:37):
And then what are your next steps?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
My goal is to let everyone know who I am,
is to show everyone what I'm about when you come
from a small town, it's some big behind it. Don't
be hating on the small towns because we got some diamonds.
That's in the rough, Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Where you're from again, I can stive.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
So Yeah, other things that I want to do.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I just want to keep performing. Y'all want to go
on tours.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Somebody needs to put me on this tour because I'm
telling y'all, I am not gonna miss you know when
you have them hit the missus, there's no missus.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Everything.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I love that. I love Yeah, thank you, I really love.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
That because, like I said, it's a full circle moment
to see you know you doing like the porsoul you
had just moved to Atlanta. Yes, so now performing at
a festival, if.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
That's it's my first festival, that's huge.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
I feel I feel good. Hot out here.

Speaker 4 (06:41):

to lay my edge back down.
