Speaker 1 (00:12):
Head all of a sudden, we got people out here, y'all.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
That made the speakers way more loud because we got guests.
We got more guests because we had Dreamville. They got
nothing but superstars. That's walking backstage after they performing. People
out here going crazy up exactly backstage with Backwoods.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
You dig what I'm saying, back Woods backstage, the beautiful
none other poor minds in the building.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
We got d m v's on shame. Gang in the building. Gang,
I'm good man. How you feeling, man? Slow motion? Ain't
down your Dreamville? Man, I feel to be down here. Man,
it's amazing. Bro, this is crazy. Like I've been here
almost like what since the second year and then just
to see it like get to where it is right now.

(01:03):
It's just crazy. It's like it's the level of area. Yea.
So how long how long has it been like since
you've been in the music gain man? Shit? Probably about
like man, probably about seven seven eight years right now, yeah,
about seven eight years.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
So how do you feel now seeing that you know
it's throwing everything is coming into fruition?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Manh Yeah, it's a true testament that you know what
I'm saying, Like, Yo, don't matter what you're doing. Long
as you keep working, you know what I'm saying, long
as you're staying consistent, and you know, I think it's
bound to happen. You know, your dreams is bound to
come true. You know That's how I truly feel. So
you performed today? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, first time performing
a dream Ville Yeah it was. I came out with

(01:41):
my bro Loop from Dreamsville. We did our thing. You
know what I'm saying. Far As said earlier today, Yo,
Like the crowd was crazy, energy was ridiculous. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
So people who are like unfamiliar with you, how would
you describe your music? Like if we were to put
on Pandora and type your name and what other artists
kind of would pop up. That's kind of like in
the same.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I get like I get like a Nick Rant a lot, Okay,
Young DMX a lot, you know what I'm saying, or
you know what I mean, even like some nods sometime,
you know what I mean? So yeah, like I'm like,
I'm a lyrical rappel but I got I got the
ways to give you bops too, though, don't Yeah yeah, yeah,
but you know it's it's a little bit along that
wave I kind of stay balanced with everything, you know. Okay,

(02:23):
so who is it? Who is it that you would
like to work with? Because you know one thing about it.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
We made ship happen on your couches, right hey.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Big dog? Hey man, if I had to say man
erbad for real, for real, that's good, you know. I mean,
that's a good one there, you know what I mean?
Of course, j Cole, you know, that's the goat. And
then man jay z Y that's that's the crazy one though. Yeah,
if you can make that happen though, you the man,
I mean hearing it, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
So how did you start rapping?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Y'all? Was crazy? It. I actually started with like poetry
and stuff like that, and then you know, it just
transitioned into music just just easy, you know what I'm saying.
Because then I got into a pattern where it was
just like, yo, I don't necessarily have to rhyme a lot,
you know what I'm saying to do it. You know,
just as long as people catch on to what I'm
saying and you know, and and understand my story, you

(03:19):
know what I'm saying. So they started with that and
then I just built everything else after that.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Okay, So growing I was just gonna say, so growing up,
who were some of your favorite artists?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Most death uh b doesn't Harmony three six Mafia, shit Outcast.
I love that you have like a wide you know
everybody person that kind of like with there, kind of
like balanced it out, you know what I'm saying. Like
I was raised on the East Coast, of course, you
know what I'm saying. But I understood what was going

(03:48):
on in the South too, and I always felt like
the South always had that flavor and ship, you know
what I'm saying. I was like and you know what
I mean. Yeah, they had that swag, you know what
I mean. So, uh yeah, I just kind of gravitated
to every area in that aspect. But I'm just a
student of the game in real time for real real Yeah. Talk.
So do you got any projects that's coming out? What?

(04:10):
What should we be expecting? Brother man? Yeah? I got
a second project on the way called Nevilated is Better.
It was It's a sequel to last project I dropped,
just dropped with called Better Late than Ever. I had
some crazy names on there, like Smoke, There's a mean Ozma,
Benjamin dang Man, just a lot of production. It was

(04:31):
far as well, but yeah, I'm just looking at just
stay consistent, you know me and louton you know what
I'm saying with some county as well. We're trying to
take that to another level as well too.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
So so before we go, I want you to I
want you to talk a little bit more on that,
like how did that collaboration come about?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Like how did you even get up with?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Like how did you even get to get around that situation?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Man? My manager and his manager actually go back way
back from like I don't know if y'all ever heard
of a group called Little Brother with ninth Wonder. Yeah. Yeah,
they're like a heavy group out of Enough Carolina and
they go way back. So it was just one of
them situations where it was like it was kind of
meant to be like a family tree in the sense
it's like all managed by him and then he's managed
by this person. So we all kind of met. But

(05:11):
like the first time we kind of met, Like the
first few years, it wasn't even like on no music
building and it was kind of just on some yo
that nigga cool, like were on some homie shit you
feel me? And then they built into music and it
became genuine then, and so now it's like turning it
into like, you know, like he got he got this
imprint called Slum County and he's trying to build it
and put dope artists from North Carolina on it, you
know what I'm saying, and build it up. So that's

(05:32):
where it said it Now.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Okay, well you know, don't let this be the last
time you come through and.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Check us out.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Oh no, no, because when you drop that ship, we
want to be the first one man did exclusive You
dig what I'm

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Saying, sir, say no mo Man Backwood backstage, Poor Mine,

Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
