stood firm in the face of withering racism. In twenty eleven,

former United States President Barack Obama awarded Russell with the
Presidential Medal of Freedom, describing the Hall of famer as

all men. In a lifetime of service to civil rights

looking at a lot of comments and stuff with people
talking about with them being sell out, and what people
don't understand is that a lot of companies do the
same thing. A lot of people that own companies. You know,

lot of the the owners that own those companies at
one point in time they sold the company and continue
to work for the company. And people just didn't know that. So,
you know, a lot of people just don't understand business.
They think that they got the money, they got bought

not necesifically how it goes in business. You invest in
the company just to sell it. Yeah. Of course jay
Z has been following that method for years years. All
the millionaires, billionaires, dudes like, it's not a secret. So

lot of people on the Internet that's going back and forth,
it's more than likely gonna be a private conversation that's
gonna happen. So, you know, all this senseless violence that's
going on, I hope that they, you know, both parties,
get the opportunity to come together and just settle this,

because you know, it's already a bad time for hip
hop and music and it's like, man, so much negative
things going on on the internet. So man, I just
hope that everybody can just have a chance to just
get together and just settle this, you know, because it's

you're inviting the whole world to have opinions, and you know,

opinions sometimes feel the fire to these beefs. And you know,
you've seen we've had artists on here and they said, well,
I responded in this song. I responded on the internet
because people on the internet was telling me to do that. So,
you know, I just hope that they're gonna be able
to have a private conversation and you know handle that,

I'm a civilian, I paid my taxes, I ain't in
them street games. I'm not in the streets. I don't
know their family, So who am I to like say

I just and like, we should just let them settle

gold medal in nineteen fifty six. Bill Russell revolutionized the
game with his supreme athletic ability, defensive bravery, and relentless
pension for winning, cementing himself as one of the greatest
players in NBA history. In nineteen sixty seven, when Russell
began coaching for the Boston Celtics, he became the first

African American to coach on a major professional sports team.
Not only did Russell change the game of basketball, he
refined the role as a black athlete, utilizing his platform
for the betterment of others. Bill Russell's winning is stunning
in its own right, but that's only part of his story.
Throughout his life, Russell has spoken out about injustice and
stood firm in the face of withering racism. In twenty eleven,
(20:50):
former United States President Barack Obama awarded Russell with the
Presidential Medal of Freedom, describing the Hall of famer as
someone who stood up for the rights and dignity of
all men. In a lifetime of service to civil rights
and to the game of basketball. He was a champion
through and through and use this platform to serve all
of humanity. His legacy will continue to loom large over

the game of basketball and live on in a generation
of activists athletes he inspired, and lastly, make sure y'all
