Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you go into a voting place like you go
into in a properly run state, they look at you,
they give you, give voter ID, you give all sorts
of identification. I mean, it would be very hard to
cheat in Amaska. When you send out minions like California,
I think they send out thirty six million ballots. They
don't have a voting booth in the whole place, And
(00:23):
then minions of ballots come back. Nobody knows where they're
coming from it.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
But what are you gonna do about it? The way
you win.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Is by swamping them.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
the forty seven Morning Updating. We've got two big stories
for you this morning. Donald Trump warned us that there
were far too many illegal immigrants in this country and
they were costing Americans or lives. We now know that
an illegal alien truck driver was behind the fatal U
turn that has gone viral, and he actually failed the
(00:55):
English language tests and could only identify a single highway
traffic sign.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
So how did he get his CDL.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
We'll tell you this pathetic story of leadership and how
it involves Democrats in power. Plus, in a major move,
President Trump is now pledging to end mail in ballots
and voting machines ahead of the twenty twenty six midterms
through an executive order. Will this hold up or is
the President advocating for a fight in the court system
(01:27):
to protect our elections on purpose?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I'll break that down as well.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
But first let me tell you about Krocket Coffee. If
you drink coffee like I do, I drink it every day.

to do it because every cup is premium. It's not average,
it's not even good. It's amazing coffee. Crockett Coffee they
do this in small batches, and there is no need
to give your money to the woke liberal coffee brands
that are out there, because my good friends, that's part
(02:18):
of the reason why they start this company. They are
sick and tired of giving their money to companies and
hate our values, and they said, hey, we can do
this and do it better than anybody else. Now you
at Crockett Coffee, you can choose between fresh ground or
whole bean or ca cups. You choose, And if you're
interested in mushroom coffee and the positive benefits that come
(02:38):
with enjoying that each day, Crockett Coffee is now producing
that as well. They've got dark rows, miiled roast, a
light roast, even a decaf version, and a mushroom organic blend.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Each and every day. It's a forty seven morning Update,
and it starts right now.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Story number one.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
An illegal truck driver behind a fatal U turn failed
the English language tests we're now finding out. At mile
marker one seventy on the Florida Turnpike, a semi truck
driver executed an illegal U turn in an area designated
quote official use only. It has caused a fatal collision
and three fatalities in a Chrysler Town and Country Treay
(04:00):
minivan were killed a thirty seven year old woman, a
thirty year old man, and a fifty four year old
man from Miami. The truck driver is, unfortunately where the
tragic story begins, identified as a twenty eight year old
Indian national living illegally in the United States of America.
He entered the country in twenty eighteen, reportedly via Mexico,
(04:24):
and was actually granted a work permit in June of
twenty twenty one after an earlier denial under the Trump administration,
meaning Joe Biden allowed this to happen. We also are
finding out more about the licensing details of the illegal immigrant.
The man literally held a CDL, a commercial driver's license,
(04:45):
something that is supposed to be hard to get, but
it wasn't for this illegal immigrant because he went to
a sanctuary state and it was issued by California, one
of nineteen states plus DC that will actually grant cdl's
regardless of immigration status. That is why we would refer
to them as a sanctuary state. Federal testing after the
(05:08):
crash revealed that the man failed to properly interpret basic
English instructions and road signs. He answered only two of
twelve English questions correctly and identified just one of ford
traffic signs correctly. Legal charges are also going to take place,
(05:28):
but the damage has already been done. The driver now
faces three counts of vehicular homicide and immigration violations. An
ICE detainer has been issued and federal authorities are requesting
as transfer once state proceedings conclude. We also had these
shocking video evidence that went viral. The dashcam footage from
(05:49):
inside the truck capturing the illegal maneuver and ensuing crash
had surfaced and circulated widely, also showing a man that
really didn't seem to care much that he had just
taken the lives three individuals. Now the legal and political
fallout is even bigger. In Florida, each count of ike
your Homicide can carry up to fifteen years, meaning the
(06:10):
maximum of forty five years in prison if he is
convicted on all three. Prosecutors also must prove recklessness and
not just negligence to receive that sentence. Federal state crash
is also another part of the problem here, also the
question of federal and state and what's going to happen there.
(06:30):
The Department of Homeland Security criticize California's licensing policies, calling
it asinine, while California officials and legal experts countered that
the man had quote a valid visa and work permit
when he received his license, validating compliance with legal requirements,
even though apparently couldn't even read the basic road signs.
(06:52):
And then there's the bigger question how many more are
out there on the roadways who have been given CDLs
who can't speak English and don't know what the signs
say on the roads they're driving with an eighteen wheeler.
Public reaction is going to play a large part in this.
The incident has sparked intense backlash, fueling political debate over
(07:13):
sanctuary state policies and also these states that are permitting
undocumented illegal immigrants to obtain CDLs. California Governor Gavin Newsom
is also facing particularly sharp criticism over the entire episode. So,
if you look at it and step back, here's the takeaway.
You have a semi truck driver who killed three Americans
(07:35):
while making an illegal U turn in Florida, failed an
English language proficiency test and also failed to accurately identify
highway traffic signs. In the press release from the Department
of Transportation, it was revealed that officials of the Federal
Motor Carrier Safety Administration had launched an investigation into the
deadly crash in Florida. During the interview with the driver,
(07:56):
they are now saying publicly who has been identified investigators
at MENA at a English language proficiency assessment, he failed
the assessment and only provided quote correct answers to just
two of twelve verbal questions. And again, as I mentioned earlier,
the report now states he only accurately identified one of
four highway traffic signs. It states that he had he
(08:17):
followed the rules. This driver would have never been behind
the wheel, and the three precious lives would still be
with US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy saying in a statement,
quote this crash was a preventable tragedy directly caused by
reckless decisions and compounded by despicable failures. Non enforcement and
(08:38):
radical immigration policies have turned the trucking industry into a
lawless frontier, resulting, he says, in unqualified foreign drivers improperly
acquiring licenses to operate forty ton vehicles. The press release
from Sean Duffy, Transportation Secretary, also revealed that on July
the fifteenth of twenty twenty three, Washington State, we are
(09:01):
now being told, issued the man a quote regular full
term commercial driver's license, and then on July twenty third
of twenty twenty four, the driver was issued a limited
term slash CDL in California as well. So the federal
investigators administering all of this, and they know that this
guy can't speak English, doesn't know the signs, and then
(09:24):
killed three people, and yet Democrats are still defending the
practice of giving illegal immigrants CDL licenses to drive eighteen
millers in America. There's no doubt that Sean Duffy and
the Trump administration are gonna do everything they can to
make sure this stops happening, especially in light.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Of what we just witnessed now story number two.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
You may remember during the campaign, Donald Trump said that
if you elected him, he was going to look into
voter election integrity and he was wanting to get rid
of mail in ballots. Now that has made the left
lose their minds. Why, because we have now witnessed even
recently local elected officials stuffing the ballot box. It happened
(10:08):
to be the mailbox with mail in ballots that obviously
were not from the people that they were setting them
in on their behalf. Well, now Donald Trump has pledged
to end mail in ballots and voting machines ahead of
the twenty twenty six midterms, making big news with the announcement,
President Trump announcing he intends to sign an executive order
(10:29):
banning the use of mail in ballots and electronic voting
machines in federal elections, setting the stage for a fierce
political and legal battle ahead.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Of the twenty twenty six midterms.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Now, this move, Trump argued, is quote necessary to restore
public confidence in American elections, which he says have been
plagued by fraud, mismanagement, and manipulation since the rapid expansion
of vote by mail and the widespread adoption of computerized
voting systems. Quote, I am going to a movement to
(11:00):
get rid of mail in ballots and also, while we're
at it, highly inaccurate, very expensive, and seriously controversial voting machines,
Trump wrote in a true social post. Elections, by the way,
the United States are primarily run by state governments, not Washington.
Legal experts are noting that there could be a real
problem and a fight, obviously, a fight that Donald Trump
(11:22):
has no problem having, and that fight would be over
constitution and who actually has the authority. Yes, the Constitution
gives states the authority to administer elections, with Congress, not
the President, holding limited power to quote regulate them. One
liberal law professor at New York University put it this way,
quote the president has no power constitutionally to dictate two
(11:45):
states the manner in which they conduct national elections. Still,
Donald Trump in says that states act as agents of
the federal government when conducting elections and therefore must follow
the presidential direction. That claim is clearly a test that
the it's more than happy to happen, and that's exactly
why he's wanting to do the executive order. He obviously
(12:05):
is planning on it going to court now. Conservative liberals
have long raised alarms about electronic voting machines.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Let me say that again.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Conservatives and liberals have been raising alarms about the electronic
voting machines, which rely on proprietary software and digital tabulation
of the votes. In fact, critics on both sides of
the aisle have actually argued the same thing, that these machines,
produced by a handful of private companies, are vulnerable to hacking,
(12:33):
miss programming, or even deliberate tampering. Now, while election officials
insist that voting machines are more accurate than handcounts, skeptics
point to high profile erarors in passed elections, such as
miss reported totals and technical breakdowns that left voters frustrated
wondering if their votes were even counted. In fact, Democrats
(12:55):
have been critical of electronic voting machines and ravit times
raised significant concerns about their reliability and also security. A
great example of this is in Georgia, leading Democrats criticize
the state's decision to use dominion ballot marking devices, arguing
they were vulnerable to tampering and lack the transparency of
(13:18):
hand marked paper ballots. Lawsuits were filed seeking to block
their use, with election security advocates pointing to risks of
hacking and also just basic software flaws. In fact, the
twenty twenty HBO documentary Killed Chain, the cyber War in
America's elections highlighted potential vulnerabilities and computerized voting, featuring interviews
(13:39):
with security experts who warned the machines could be manipulated
and most shockingly, leave elections open to interference. Together, democratic lawmakers,
advocacy groups, and investigative media have question whether technology base
voting undermines public trust. Let me say that again, this
is democratic law makers that have been doing this. They
(14:01):
were also pressing for greater reliance on paper ballots and
robust auditing. So why now would Democrats be against what
they've been advocating for. It actually comes down to one
simple issue. They hate Donald Trump, and they also don't
want admit that maybe Donald Trump is right about a
lot of this issue When it comes to election integrity,
(14:23):
as to the president. He says he wants transparency. He
wants hand counted paper ballots, even if it's slower, to
make sure that our elections are meaningful, that people feel
like their ballots are being casted and not canceled out
by a hacker or a computer. Yes, it may even
cost a little bit more money, but is it worth
(14:44):
it to know that your vote counts. That's exactly what
the President's saying and the legal fight he's wanting to have.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
