1. Economic Policy & Interest Rates

  • It begins by discussing Donald Trump’s long-standing argument that interest rates are too high.

  • Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s Jackson Hole speech (Aug 22) is highlighted, where he suggested conditions may soon warrant interest rate cuts.

  • Trump allies (e.g., Peter Navarro) frame this as Powell finally admitting Trump was right about tariffs not driving inflation.

  • Market reactions are noted: stocks initially rallied but later cooled, with shifts from mega-cap tech to small-cap strength.

2. Trump vs. Powell Narrative

  • Powell’s comments are portrayed as “gobbledygook” compared to Trump’s “clarity.”

  • The commentary stresses that lowering interest rates would benefit Americans with mortgages, small businesses, and debt, echoing Trump’s populist framing of economic policy.

  • It emphasizes that Powell’s delays harmed Americans and that Trump is vindicated.

3. Cashless Bail & Crime Policy

  • The second half shifts to Trump’s executive order targeting cashless bail (starting in Washington, D.C.).

  • Trump is framed as prioritizing public safety, while Democrats, progressive prosecutors, and activists (e.g., Black Lives Matter, George Soros) are blamed for crime increases.

  • The narrative portrays cashless bail as a failed liberal experiment creating a “revolving door” of criminals.

4. Federal Control of Crime in D.C.

  • Trump’s federal law enforcement intervention in D.C. is defended as effective, citing arrests, crime reduction percentages, and removal of homeless encampments.

  • Critics (media and Democrats) are depicted as dismissing or covering up crime problems.

  • A D.C. police union chairman accuses officials of manipulating crime statistics for political purposes.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
You know that Donald Trump has been saying for quite
some time that he believes that interest rates are far
too high, holding back America's economy and making it harder
for Americans to own a home and to borrow money
for small business loans and things like that. Well, there's
been a war with Jerome Powell, and Jerome Powell actually
opened the door finally to cuts in his August to

(00:23):
twenty second Jackson Hole's speech, saying quote conditions may warrant
easing soon and stressing the Fed will move carefully based
on inflation and the softening labor market. Now, part of
this revolved around the real concern in the labor market.
There are real worries and stress tests. Powell highlighted the

(00:46):
job market as quote red flags, reinforcing why a cautious
cut could now finally be on the table. CBS News
even reporting on this, saying the inflation risks still matter,
saying he flagged terraf related prices pressuring the related FED

(01:07):
and said that look, we're trying to do what we've
got to do. They won't allow a quote one time
price bump to become persistent inflation, so deep rapid cuts
are quote unlikely as well. Now, the market reaction to
this was interesting. Stocks rallied Friday on the Davis tone,
then cooled at Monday's open as enthusiasm faded for what

(01:31):
he actually said. Now, I want you to actually hear
the reality of the situation. Peter Navarro at the White
House talking on Fox Business Jennal with Maria Bartiromo, and
I want you to hear what he said about all
of this happening in Jackson Hall, and Powell said, Look,
this is what we all knew all along. He's finally

(01:52):
acknowledging what the Trump camp has been saying all along,
that interest rates are too high and holding us back.
Here there is again Peter Navarro at the White House.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
In his own words, Peter, it's great to see you
this morning. Welcome, and I know you have an op
ed out on j. Powell which is going.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
To be coming out later on in the week.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Give us your assessment of the Chairman's speech and this
new thinking for September's cut.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Marie, very great, thanks for asking. Look, it was twenty
minutes of Powell gobbledegook in thirty seconds of pure Trump beauty.
Powell finally acknowledged what we've been saying in the Trump
camp all along that tariffs don't create inflation. He had
two sentences that said, one, they don't, even if they

(02:38):
might create some inflation, it's only a one shot deal,
so there's no inflationary spiral. And two, in the second sentence,
he said that's not going to stop him from cutting rates.
The markets off, they went, Maria, I'm on record is
saying Dallas hitting fifty thousand. I said that, Maria, by
the way, when we were at the plunge, the drop

(03:00):
when Donald Trump first introduced the tariffs this term, and
the markets rebounded, and it's going to be a rocket
ship because we're going to have price stability and economic
growth from the various aspects of Trump policy. It's a
deregulation of tax cuts, the strategic energy dominics, and guess
what fair trade, which is getting us tariffs. They're going

(03:23):
to pay down our debt, pay down our debt, pay
down our debt, and pay for the big beautiful tax bill.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Now.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Look, the markets obviously liked what he had to say.
I thought it was interesting how Navarro said, Look, this
is thirty forty five minutes of gobblygook with a you know,
thirty seconds of Trump brilliance where he's admitting what Donald
Trump has been saying along you're holding back the economy.
I also want you to hear what Charles Pain, good
friend of mine, had to say at Fox Business Channel

(03:51):
about this as the stock market is responding and soaring
and why why did that happen? Because they understand that
lowering interest rates in September could have a big impact
not only on our debt I'm talking about the federal
government's debt, all right, but also could have a very
big impact on something else. That something else is on

(04:13):
you and your dollars every single month.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
Take a listen and everyone, I'm Charles paying this is
making money. So last week was monumental on several fronts, right,
notably the stock market, which you could see the red
all week long. In fact, we had a five day
losing streak and that made Friday really this face it.
There was sort of a do or die session, major interseries.

(04:37):
Of course, the sword swored on that Jackson Hole speech,
but the composition of the rally change, and I think
that's one of the big newsworthy things. This is for
the week, right. You rarely see this, but the big
red boxes, the big red rectangles, and those are your
tech names, those are your mega cap names. And Summer
down a lot, Polunteered down over ten percent, Microsoft Apple,

(04:57):
They're all took pretty good hints. Meanwhile, more broad, look
at this, all the other stocks at fort ninety three
stepping up to the plate, and then they're small caps.
A lot of false starts this year, but for the week,
small cap well, there were small cap value small cap
corps or small cap growth actually outperforming huge. One of
the best weeks for small caps in a long time.

(05:18):
The question is will it sustain itself? Can it be sustained?

Speaker 5 (05:22):
Of course.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
The other big news of the week, going back to
Jackson Hall, is where many thought that Jay Powell will
be confrontational, right, or at least at least, let's be honest,
the media trying to nudge Jay Powell into the corner
of sort of with these non stop stories. He's going
to stick to his guns. He's going to give it
to President Trump. You know, he's not going to be
pushing around. Well, they were disappointed. Many people were disappointed

(05:45):
because Powell, you know, he didn't hold back in certain ways,
though others actually said this whole thing this whole not
a charade, but whatever you want to call it might
actually be the twilight of the central banking elite. I
got to tell you, I came away thinking that Jay Powell,
he's kind of dealing with realities.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Right.

Speaker 6 (06:03):
Things aren't written into textbooks that necessarily pertain today. You
have two hundred year old economic theories that don't necessarily
apply completely today. This political rhetoric that aging, there's.

Speaker 7 (06:13):
So many things.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
So maybe just maybe he cracked the current code.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Now, look, what Jerome Powell is now having to do
is probably what he knows he should have been doing
long before September. He's not in the political battle against
the president as he was early on. Why because I
think he understands he looks like an idiot. The President also,
I think willing to take this win, this w and

(06:40):
take it and just move on from it because it's
going to help the economy and the American people so much.
When I look at where we are and what the
President has been saying and what the President's been advocating for,
He's wanting Americans to be able to do things for themselves.
He wants them to be able to build or buy

(07:00):
a house. He wants them to be able to pay
for things or borrow money at a low rate. He
wants them to be able to expand their businesses or
their small businesses. I mean, these are just basic things
that the President of the United States of America has
been in favor of. And unfortunately, Democrats have been obsessed
with fighting the president no matter what, every single time

(07:23):
they get a chance. If they can fight the president,
they will fight the president time and time again. And
Democrats or Pale, the list goes on and on. Now
there's some pople say that the president should have just
gotten rid of Powell.

Speaker 8 (07:36):
Right.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
It's independent, however, and there's a lot of questions about that,
and the Federal Reserve should not be quote political. I
do believe that Powell has been political. Should there be
accountability for that?

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Right?

Speaker 1 (07:48):
We can debate that on another show another day. What
I do know right now is it looks like that
the Federal Reserve chairman is finally going to do not
what I want. I think you can argue maybe not
what you want. He's going to do what the market needs,
what the market deserves, what the market should have already done,

(08:12):
what he should have already done. I should say, for
the market. And the only reason why he's going to
do it now is because I think he realizes he's
actually holding back the American economy and he's hurting many Americans.
A lot of Americans still live paycheck to paycheck, a
lot are trying to get ahead. A lot of them
have debt, credit card debt, or home debt, whatever it

(08:34):
maybe are. There's people trying to buy their first home,
and you look at where we are, it should be
easier than it is right now to accomplish those things.
I want to talk to you about my friends at
Kirk Elliott Precious Metals.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Two days ago, I got my new order of silver.

Speaker 7 (08:53):
Now.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I'm investing in silver right now because the pricing on
it is amazing and the upside well, it's real. Actually
have a one hundred ounce silver bar. It is actually
really cool. It's really heavy because it's one hundred ounces.
But I also know that I bought it at the
right price and I wasn't paying massive up charges on quote,

(09:15):
rare or special coins. And then when you go to
sell them, you take away all of your earning potential.
Why do they do it this way at Kurt Elliott
because they have transparent pricing up front. It's very simple.
You pay eight percent when you buy, and here's what
matters to you the most, nothing when you sell. There

(09:36):
are no hidden fees ever with Kurt Elliott Precious Metals.
This is the reason why I recommend them. It's not
just about investing, it's about making sure you get more
for your money. And that is exactly why Kurt Elliott
helps people all the time. Whether it's gold or silver,
you can hold it, be a good steward of it,

(09:56):
you can pass it on to future generations, and you
can build wealth with it. It's real, boy, youon never gimmicks,
just investment grade gold and silver. No overpriced coins, no
flashy markups. And it's a company that I love because
they are a faith driven company. There's no pressure, just

(10:17):
honest care. They treat every client like family, offering honest
answers up front to help you make wise informed decisions. Now,
if you're seeking a partner when it comes to gold
and silver with an eternity mindset, visit k e PM
dot com slash Ben. That's k e PM dot com

(10:40):
slash Ben. You can also call them seven two zero
six oh five thirty nine hundred that's seven two zero,
six oh five thirty nine hundred. So let's faithfully steward
what God has given so you can experience real peace
now and for generations to come k e PM slash ben.

(11:02):
So Donald Trump has come out and he is seeking
to end cashless bell nationwide. He's starting with Washington, d C.
And his order directs federal law enforcement to hold arrestees
in custody and prosecute them on federal charges when possible

(11:23):
to avoid two things, pre trial release and pre trial
release with cash bail. Now, the President has made it
clear he's not messing around. In fact, Trump is threatening
to withhold or revoke federal funding from states and local
jurisdictions that have substantially eliminated cash bail for offenses deemed

(11:46):
a threat to public safety, violent or sexual crimes, burlery, looting, vandalism,
and the Attorney General is ordered to identify those jurisdictions
within thirty days. Agencies then determine which funding to quote suspend.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Now, the framework for all this is going to be big.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
You also have a lot of people that are frustrated
in and around the President of the United States of America.
Why Well, because he's not backing down from what he promised,
and they can't believe that they can't get him to
just be quiet on this issue of cashless bell. Take
a listen to how MSNBC described this signing.

Speaker 9 (12:27):
So first, let's start with the big topic, cashless bail.
Cashlest bail, of course, allows a defendant to be released
from jail while they're awaiting trial that's based on their
commitment to appear in court instead of paying a specific
cash amount. I know some supporters of cashless bail says
it avoids penalizing low income defendants. But game, what is
the President and White House saying about this order? And

(12:49):
they're hopes for what it will do, not just for Washington,
but the rest of the country.

Speaker 10 (12:53):
Well, you know, I was in clay the President and
his administration. I've been railing against cashlest bail for quite
some time. It's something that Janine Piro, the US Attorney
here in d C, has been talking about a lot
in the last couple of days. In this executive order
that President just signed aims to eliminate cash list fail
here in d C by potentially withholding federal funds from

(13:15):
this jurisdiction and also he ordered his Attorney General to
look at different jurisdictions across the country and identify those
that have casualist bail policies and explore ways to withhold
some federal funding. Now, that is something that the administration
has done for a variety of issues, trying to explore
ways to stop federal funding or to the threat of

(13:38):
withholding federal funds in order for those jurisdictions to agree
or to go along with their policy. But that is
just one of the executive orders that he signed this morning.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
S and collect Now, cash list bell has been something
that the left is.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
Absolutely obsessed with.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
I'll give you a great example this Democratic Representative Kelly
saying this about cashless bell. Now again, Democrats have been
campaigning on it. Black Lives Matter was created around it.
George Soros and the activist das are the ones that
implement it. They wanted cashless bail, They wanted prison reform,
which meant get everybody out of jail. These are the

(14:17):
radical left ideas now destroying cities. Yet you even look
at Chicago and Democratic Representative Kelly again talking about Chicago
saying this about National Guard troops and cashless bail.

Speaker 11 (14:33):
I want to ask you, we only have a been
at left, congress Woman about no cash bail, because the
President signed an EO today ending that practice aimed too
At least your state of Illinois was the first in
the nation to pass a cashless bail law. What does
Donald Trump not understand?

Speaker 12 (14:48):
He doesn't understand that this gives judges the discretion, a
more discretion to make that decision. You know, they can
say no if they think it's someone that will you know,
go out of me buy they're not, they're too risky.
But if you know they have nothing in their past
or the judge feels that, you know, they'll be safe

(15:09):
and it's okay to you know, let them out, they
have that discretion.

Speaker 13 (15:13):
So but Donald Trump doesn't care. Again, this is part
of his you know, fear, This is part of his
distraction from other things going on in the world, you know,
other things going on in the United States.

Speaker 7 (15:25):
Like he said he would lower.

Speaker 10 (15:26):
Prices, that hasn't happened.

Speaker 13 (15:28):
So these are all distractions.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
All distractions, she says, nothing good Donald Trump's done.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Prices, she says, aren't lower, even though they actually are.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Gas prices is a perfect example that the price of
eggs the price of butter, the price of milk. There's
countless items that are lower since Donald Trump got back
into office. But you can hear this representative straight up
lying about it. I also want you to hear from
the Miami mayor about what he had to say about
cash list bail and what happens when you have it.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, and when you were at the White House, you
spoke about this.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
You went to the White House for.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
That summit, and you talked about cashless bail contributing to
the nation's crime spy. Tell us more about that and
why you don't see more cities and states turning over
a page from cash less bail.

Speaker 7 (16:22):
Well.

Speaker 8 (16:22):
As president of the US Conference of Mayors, it's my
responsibility to lead and to put forth an agenda based
on policies that have worked in my city and that
can work across America. And this castless bail is another
example of a failed liberal policy where you create a
revolving door of people who commit crimes and are back
out on the streets immediately. It makes it impossible for

(16:45):
law enforcement to do their job. It puts an incredible
burden on cities and on law abiding residents that have
to deal with people who are habitual criminals, and it
just doesn't work. And so you know, we have to
get away from politicizing again law enforcement and get to
think that work policies at work that make our city safer,
because safety is the number one concern whenever you've done
a pults. I've been around a public service for thirteen years. Okay,

(17:08):
they're like dog years. And I'll tell you, whenever you
do a poll, the number one issue is always crime
and the economy. You know, one and two, and they
and they, and they vascily between one and the other.
So safety is the biggest concern for citizens across the world.
So it just it's something that we cannot afford a politicize.
We've got to do things that keep our citizens safe.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
By the way, the Miami Mayor absolutely right, cash list
bail is another example of a failed liberal policy, something
that's been implemented, and the data shows overwhelming the majority
of Americans are in favor of what Donald Trump's doing,
not allowing those that are committing heinous crimes.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
To walk among us.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Welcome back. It is the Ben Ferguson Show. So nice
to have you with us. I want to take you
back to oh what a week and a half ago,
when the as the United States of America announced he
was going to federalize law enforcement in Washington, d C,
take charge and fight crime. What did the left in
the media say, Well, I can tell you because I
was on TV that night on CNN, and they said

(18:15):
the president all this was was him being a narcissist,
a dictator, and this is all about Donald Trump wanting
to be in charge. And I asked the question, why
is it you guys hate Donald Trump so much to
the point where you won't even advocate from fighting crime
when people are dying in Washington.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
D C.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
They then said Donald Trump doesn't know how to fight crime,
and that this is all for the cameras.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
It's all theatrics.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
That he wasn't actually going to fight crime in high
crime areas in Washington, d C. He was just going
to put him around the national mall. Well guess what
that was also a lie? How do we know it?
Take a list in the White House Press Secretary Caroline
Levitt is she explains exactly what's happened in just over

(19:02):
a week of data they've now received.

Speaker 14 (19:05):
President Trump's efforts to make DC safe again are working.
There have been a total of four hundred and sixty
five arrests since the start of this operation on Thursday,
August seventh. Last night, there were a total of fifty
two arrests, including the arrest of an illegal alien MS
thirteen gang member with convictions for DWI and drug possession.

(19:27):
Thanks to President Trump's leadership in the outstanding work of
both federal and local law enforcement, dangerous gang members like
the one picked up last night will not be allowed
on the streets of our nation's capital. Other arrests last
night included assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing, parole
violation for robbery murder, outstanding warrant for attempted murder, assault

(19:49):
on federal law enforcement officer, and felony assault. Four more
homeless encampments were also removed during yesterday's reporting period. To date,
a total of forty eight homeless encampments have been and Washington,
d c by multi agency teams. MPD patrol units are
actively working with city officials to locate in clear additional
encampments and remove homeless residents off of Washington streets. And

(20:13):
despite fake narratives from the media, again, a significant number
of the arrests have been in high crime areas of DC.
In fact, nearly half of all of the non illegal
alien related arrests have occurred in Wards seven and eight,
the two wards that have the highest number of violent
crime as well as homicides and assaults with dangerous weapons

(20:34):
last year. So while Democrats continue to caudle violent criminals,
President Trump and this administration are focused on putting them
behind bars and unapologetically standing up for the safety of
law abiding American citizens. And the White House will continue
to provide all of you with the results of this
operation in the days ahead.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
You listen to what she said, they went into the
most violent neighborhoods to protect the least among us. You also,
and if you listen to Democratic Party, they're obsessed with
black lives matter. If I remember correctly, they even painted
a street with Black Lives Matter on it, the mayor

(21:14):
of DC making sure it was headed straight to the
White House. And so why wouldn't you advocate for more
law enforcement? Now the liberal media narrative has been well, actually,
things are incredibly safe in DC.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
They're so much better than.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
They were when they had a quote bad year in
twenty twenty three. Well, we now know that there may
be massive lives have been told to us in twenty
twenty four and twenty twenty five. What am I talking about?
Insert the DC police union chairman who's now exposing saying
there's a very good chance, based on what they've seen,

(21:52):
that the numbers were deliberately manipulated to make crime look
like it was lower than it actually was in DC.
See another Democrat cover up, caring more about faking the
numbers than fighting crime. Listen to what the DC union
police chairman had to say on Fox News Channel.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Can you confirm for us that there have been police
officers and detectives and members of law enforcement in DC
who on the scene of crimes have been told don't
write that one down, or don't add that to the list,
or put that down as a more minor offense.

Speaker 7 (22:33):
Absolutely.

Speaker 15 (22:33):
That's one of the chief complaints of our members when
we go around and talk to them, is that they
respond to the scenes of these violent crimes, and inevitably
you'll have a captain or a commander or sometimes a
lieutenant show up on the scene and advise them.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
To take a report for a lesser offense.

Speaker 15 (22:49):
One of the things that we see them do often
is Sometimes they'll be a shooting or a stabbing, and
if the victim is uncooperative with the police, which is
not uncommon in some areas of the city, they'll be
directed to take an injured person to the hospital report,
which is not even a crime at all, it's an
incident report. Sometimes you'll have a robbery, it'll be reported
as a theft. Other times you'll have burglaries that are

(23:09):
reported as unlawful entry or thefts. This is something that's
been unfortunately part and parcel of the police department for
some time, and we're very skeptical that these crime stats
are accurate.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
That's extraordinary. What is the motivation? Why are these commanders
or higher ups arriving on the scene during apprehensions and
telling police officers to indicate something other than what actually
happened at the scene.

Speaker 15 (23:37):
Well, the only explanation you give be to keep the
crime stats down because politically that's expedient for the police
department and elected officials in the district. I mean, let's
go back to how we got here, which is that
in twenty twenty, the Dccity Council passed the Comprehensive Policing
and Justice Reform Act, which was a sweeping piece of
legislation designed to hamstring police officers, to reduce the size,
scope and responsibilities.

Speaker 7 (23:58):
Of police officers.

Speaker 15 (24:00):
Addition, it also prevented us from holding criminals accountable even
when they're convicted of crimes. And so now here we
are five years later, the police department, with an authorized
strength of four thousand sworn members, we only have three
thy one and eighty, leaving us with over eight hundred
vacancies for the position a police officer. And in order
to make up for that gap, the police department uses

(24:20):
two million hours of mandatory overtime to cover the demand
for police officers. And so because of that, crime has
skyrocketed in the district. And one of the things that
we think is going on in the police department, which
who knows.

Speaker 7 (24:33):
How high up that those directives.

Speaker 15 (24:34):
Are coming from, is to make sure that these crime
stats are reported in the most favorable way possible.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
I mean, what you're saying obviously substantiates what we heard
from President Trump. He said they were opening an investigation
and that he didn't believe because what happened. I don't
have to tell you I'm speaking to the audience at large,
But when President Trump said he wanted to bring a
national guard. All we heard from many quarters in the
media and in leadership in Washington, this is ridiculous. Our

(25:01):
numbers are lower than they've been in a long time
in Washington, DC. We don't need national guard presence on
our streets. I mean, this sounds very, very egregious. This
is lying to the people at the constituents of Washington,
d C. And lying to the federal government about what
your numbers really are.

Speaker 7 (25:20):
Well, you're right, Martha, it is a crime under DC Code.

Speaker 15 (25:23):
It would be false swearing and it would be false reporting,
and those are statutes in the DC Code that make
it illegal to do that, to false fy police reports
or to change the data. So if the DOJ is
in fact investigating, I hope they do, and if they
find that somebody was intentionally manipulating the data, they should
be held accountable. It's a crime in the District of Columbia,
and frankly, it's a disservice to the police department, it's

(25:43):
a disservice to the city, and most of all, it's
a disservice to the victims whose police reports are not
being properly handled. And we're not dedicating the proper resources
to the crimes that they've been victims of. So something
needs to change here, and this is an important issue.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
So let's just go over the DC crime stats. Now,
DC crime since the announcement of federal control versus the
seven day prior numbers, forty six percent is how much
they are down when it comes to robberies, six percent
down when it comes to carjacking, eighty three percent down
for car theft, twenty one percent, violent crime, twenty two

(26:21):
percent down, property crime six percent of all crimes.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
This is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
And now the Justice Department is investigating whether the DC
police deliberately manipulated crime data. The police chief also saying
this about DC crime under the Democrats to the Republicans.

Speaker 15 (26:43):
The criminal justice system here in the District of Columbia
is broken. Every aspect of it is broken, whether that's policing, prosecution,
judges and trials, sentencing and supervision, all of it is broken.
And you can trace every aspect of it back to
a piece of legislation that was passed by the council.
They have destroyed policing, they have destroyed prosecutions, they have

(27:03):
destroyed the way that the courts are allowed to operate,
and they've destroyed our ability to sentence criminals to sentences
that are commensurate with the crimes they've committed. And so
the only way to fix this holistically is to go
back and look at all of this legislation that the
Council passed it back in twenty twenty when there was
all of this anti police rhetoric and work to undo that.
I know from my experiences the DC Council will never

(27:26):
do that on their own.

Speaker 7 (27:27):
And so what we're.

Speaker 15 (27:27):
Hoping over the course of the next thirty days is
that whether that's the White House, whether that's these federal
law enforcement agencies, whether that's Congress, that people get an
insight into exactly how the system got so broken, because
the only way to fix it is if we can
get rid of that legislation. And my main concern is
that thirty days are going to go by, all of
these folks are going to go up about their merry way,
and we're still going to be stuck with all this

(27:49):
bad law.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
We're only going to be stuck with bad laws. So
just remember this. Remember what the Democratic Party is doing.
They're not actually trying to fight crime They just want
Donald Trump to be a failure, even if it means
Americans dying.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
Don't forget.
