Speaker 1 (00:00):
Just a few decades ago, one in ten thousand children
had autism. Today it's one in thirty one. Last time
I heard the number is one in thirty four. Right
now it's one in thirty one. There's something wrong and
we will not stop until we defeat the chronic disease
epidemic in America. We're going to get it done.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Good Friday morning. Nice to have you with us on
the forty seven Morning Update. And here are the three
big stories coming to the White House that we're going
to be covering this morning. First up, the big beautiful
Bill is official. It has past the House and what
is in it is going to have a huge impact
for all Americans. Will break down exactly what was in
that bill coming up in just a moment. Up next,
(00:44):
you may not hate the media as much as you
should after a study has come out stating just how
much negative news there is during the first hundred days.
On Donald Trump and Elon Musk, I'll break that down
for you as well. And finally, RFK Junior and Donald
Trump teaming up to make America healthy again, and why
(01:05):
is the media fighting against it. We'll have that audio
for you in a moment. It's the forty seven Morning Update,
and it starts.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Right now, story number one. It's been made official.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
The House of Representatives erupts and cheers and a pause
as President Donald Trump's One Big, Beautiful Bill officially passes
the House.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
On this vote, the YASER two hundred and fifteen, the
NASER two hundred and fourteen, with one answering present.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
The bill is passed.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
USA USA with chants of USA, USA, USA. The four
erupted with clapping and excitement high fives. So what is
actually in this bill and how big of an impact
can I have on you and your family? Well, let's
start with this one. No tax on tips and or
(02:02):
overtime pay. What does this mean? And it means increase
take on pay instantly. Workers in the service industries and
hourly jobs benefit immediately by now being able to keep
one hundred percent of their tips and overtime. That will
boost income without increasing labor costs for the employers, which
(02:22):
is a huge win for the economy. We also know
that in this bill they are simplifying tax filing, reducing
complexity at both employees and the irs, which will be
a huge win also for small businesses and small business growth.
We also have stronger incentives to work extra hours. Now,
this bill encourages productivity and helps businesses meet demand with
(02:45):
more willing workers who are already on their payroll. Now,
there's also some other aspects this bill that are incredible.
One hundred and seventy five billion for deportation and border
wall funding. Donald Trump making good on a promise that
border secure is going to be a top priority. Not
only does this boost enforcement as well as technology and
infrastructure at the southern border, which Donald Trump argued would
(03:08):
reduce illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. There's also
to turn effect a large scale investment sends a very
strong message to White House, says that immigration laws will
be strictly enforced as long as Donald Trump is in
the White House.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
And there's also job protection in this bill.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Donald Trump said it's a way to protect low skill
American jobs from being undercut by a legal immigrant labor.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Now, let's move on to also something else.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
That was in the big beautiful bill, tax relief for
seniors higher disposable income. This is something Donald Trump said
was extremely important because it reduces the financial burden on retirees,
especially those living on a fixed income. There's also greater
economic participation because of this bill. Seniors may have more
freedom to spend or invest or support family members. And
(04:00):
then there's a healthcare costs buffer as well. It will
be easier to manage out of pocket medical expenses or
rising living costs in this country. Now, there's also the
biggest part of this bill that will have a huge
impact on every American, and that is making the twenty
seventeen tax cuts permanent. Certainly for families and businesses, long
(04:22):
term planning is easier when tax rates are lower and
locked in, which this bill does, and the lower individual
tax rates will continue helping middle class earners keep more
of their paychecks. There's also support for small businesses and
passer entities like LLCs andes corps continue to benefit from
deductions and spurring entrepreneurship and growth, especially among younger workers.
(04:48):
The last thing that the President talked about that was
so good was this the economic boost. There will be
more money in consumers pockets that can lead to higher
spending and economic activity, and it's.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
A pro worker appeal.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
The bill positioned itself as rewarding hard work aka tips
and overtime and protecting American jobs in the process. And
there's long term structural changes by locking in tax policy
and beefing up immigration enforcement. The President said this is
fulfilling his long promised reforms of putting American workers first
(05:24):
and making America great again.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Now story number two, there is a.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
New study that has just come out that makes us
realize we may not hate the media as much as
we actually should for their bias and lying against Donald
Trump and people that are close to him. We all
know how much the media lied about Donald Trump Russian
collusion is a great example, or how much they protected
the Biden crime family by claiming that the Hunter and
(05:49):
Biden laptop wasn't even real. We also know that they
used the media countless times to try to impeach Donald Trump,
not once but twice, and to overthrow the the people.
But what happens when you are an ally of the
president and you're standing with him in his second term
in office. Well, now we understand, because of the data,
(06:11):
just how hard it is to stand up for what
you believe in a recent study by the Media Research
Center has found that Elon Musk received ninety six percent
negative coverage for major US television networks ABC, NBC, and
CBS during the first one hundred days of President Donald
(06:31):
Trump's second term. Now, how extreme is ninety six percent
negative coverage. Well, during the first hundred days of President
Donald trump second term, he only received ninety two percent
negative coverage for himself during the same period, meaning that
the media understands that Donald Trump is evil in their eyes,
(06:53):
and they'll do whatever they can to take him out.
But if you're an ally of the president, they'll come
after you even harder. Now, the analysis focused on evening
newscasts and highlight the intense scrutiny that Elon must face,
particularly in the role as head of the Department of
Government Efficiency, you know it as DOGE. The study's findings
have sparked discussion about media extremist bias and the portrayal
(07:17):
of influential figures in the tech industry who stand with
Donald Trump. What's even worse is the fact that they
do it to destroy his entire livelihood, attacking his companies
and anything that he has invested in. Joe Rogan talking
about this in his show with Aaron Rodgers, and here
is what they had to say about the shocking details
(07:39):
of this report.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
And recently that showed that ninety six percent of all
the stories that mainstream media prints about ELON are negative
ninety six percent. Meanwhile, the guys saved those people trapped
up in space. Yeah, you didn't hear a pete and
the city.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Does when there's natural disasters with the starlink.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
Oh yeah, revolutionizing space travel, revolutionizing satellite internet capabilities and
the availability all over the world. It's crazy, It's really.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Crazy, and saving billions of dollars of your tax money
from going to fun stupid a programs.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
It's not just all over the world programs. Some of
it is like, you don't even know where it went.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
It's corruption too.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
He said that some of the money that there was
billions of dollars that was written out with no receipts
at all. He said, if this was a private company,
or excuse me, a public company, they would be delisted
and all the executives be thrown in prison. But in
the government it's just like standard practice.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
How come nobody has gone to prison. That's one of
my main questions for Trump and the administration. It's a
good question, it is a great question.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Why aren't people going to jail, and there's a good
chance moving forward that may actually happen. As for Elon Musk,
he's responded to the new studies results, accusing the legacy
media of dishonesty and suggesting that the negative coverage is
part of it deliver a campaign to undermine him due
to his influential status and political leanings. Now, this situation
(09:07):
clearly underscores the relationship between the media and the narratives
that they want to push on public perception, especially concerning
high profile individuals who play a significant role in Donald
Trump's administration. One thing is for sure, this study needs
to be shared everywhere so that the people understand that
(09:29):
when you're watching the nightly news, you're not actually watching
the news anymore on ABCNBC or CBS, you're watching liberal
government sponsored propaganda, and it's there to undermine Donald Trump
and anyone around him in the administration.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
And lastly, story number three.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
One of the main promises from Donald Trump was that
he was going to make America healthy again. Insert RFK Junior,
who is on a crusade to make sure we stop,
as he describes it, poisoning our children. Not only is
it about the basics like food die. But it's also
about processed foods, and many believe that processed foods are
(10:07):
important because they're cheap. RFK Junior says, no, no, no,
you end up paying a higher cost in the long run.
He did a sit down interview in front of the
White House talking about what is next with making America
healthy again, and here is what he had to say
in sixty days.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
On ultra processed foods and getting into that here. You
were born into a privileged background, obviously not something you
can control. But I wonder what you would say to
maybe a single mom of two kids who's reading this
report about how harmful these cheap but very accessible foods
are for her family and saying, well, you know, sometimes
that's the best we can do, and that's why that's
(10:45):
what's on the food or at the table at the
end of the day, or that's what's in their lunchbox.
Speaker 7 (10:50):
It's an illusion to think that process food is cheap,
because you end up paying for it with diabetes, you
end up paying for it with automun dysregulation, with mitochondrial dysfunction,
and with inflammation, and you end up paying much higher
cause in the long run. But there are food deserts
in this country where people at this point have a
(11:11):
hard time getting access. There are I met with the
technology health technology companies this week and it was an
extraordinary meeting and one of the stements they made is
that there's no place in this country in the lower
forty eight you can't get access to good foods. It's
not easy access that has had been in the past,
and that's been part of the economic drivers and also
(11:31):
the fact that people don't understand that these process foods
are poisoned.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
More and more.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
And you're watching watching companies now that are changing their
ingredients because of this movement, that are making good food
more available to Americans because they're demanding it. There was
no demand for it before. This report is about getting
every American to demand the accessibility to good whole food
(11:57):
in their neighborhoods and that you know it's going to
be a process, but it's already happening. You see these
big fast food conglamorates that are switching from seed oils
to beef califat you see, and then reducing the ingredients.
You see Chobani yogurt changing its ingredients because of the
demand that has happened because of the MAHA movement. We
(12:18):
are going to make sure they have the apps, that
mothers who go into the grocery store have an app
that they can show on the Senate flash on the
bar code of every product and get a green light,
red light or yellow light that will allow the at
Justice creating it. We're working with industry to do it,
and they're already doing it. You know that Mark Heyman's
company has done it. Patrick's seems a company has done it.
(12:42):
There are many many apps out there that I use.
One called Yukka is very my wife and I considered invaluable.
You can go into any grocery store flashing at any
product and you can get a go or a no
on it. And as that happens the market. We're not
trying to create an anti state here. We're trying to
create mark drive market forces that will drive change in
the kind of food Americans get and into good information
(13:05):
and good science.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Isn't it amazing how the media just can't stand the
fact that RFK Junior and Donald Trump are working together
asking questions about processed food, doing what they can to
help America be healthier again and to protect kids from
childhood abuc rates that we've never seen before. I love
(13:26):
that they're doing this, and it's really sad that the
media is fighting them, not because they disagree with having
healthier kids, but they can't stand the fact that it's
Donald Trump doing it.
