1. FBI Spied on Republicans:

  • The FBI performed a “toll analysis” (a term for examining phone call records and metadata) on eight Republican senators and one congressman.

  • This was supposedly part of a secretive investigation codenamed “Arctic Frost”.

  • The surveillance allegedly occurred after Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago raid and during Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump and the January 6th events.

The senators targeted include:

Lindsey Graham, Bill Haggerty, Josh Hawley, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, Cynthia Lummis, and Marsha Blackburn — with Representative Mike Kelly also mentioned.

  • An introductory narrator asserting the FBI’s wrongdoing.

  • Quoted remarks from Senators Ron Johnson, Chuck Grassley, Bill Haggerty, and others, condemning the alleged surveillance.

  • Repeated claims that this represents “weaponization of government” and “political persecution.”

  • Statements linking this case to prior alleged abuses under the Obama administration and investigations into Trump.

Story 2 – “FBI Abuse and Cover-Up”

  • FBI Director Kash Patel has fired agents involved in tracking phone calls of eight Republican senators and one congressman during a supposed investigation led by Special Counsel Jack Smith.

  • It describes a hidden vault of subpoenaed communication records, suggesting a deliberate cover-up under the previous administration’s Department of Justice.

  • The text portrays Patel as a whistleblower uncovering “deep state” corruption and restoring transparency.

  • Senator Josh Hawley is quoted condemning the investigation as an abuse of power “beyond Watergate”, calling for a special counsel.

  • The narrative concludes that the FBI and DOJ were weaponized against political opponents and that new leadership is “unsealing the vault” to expose them.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jeff Schuber proclaimed this morning that every day gets better
for them. No Evan is it's actually getting worse for
them and having a rebellion in the Democrat Party because
they want to stop. So this is a confession that
he's acting not to serve the people, but to serve
the partisan interests of this party.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Good Saturday morning to you.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Ben Ferguson with you, and these are some of the
stories that you may have missed that we talked about
this week on the forty seven Morning Update. First up,
this story is one the media is not covering. Instead
they're going to talk about the government shut down. Jack
Smith and the Biden Department of Justice. We're tracking the
phone calls of their political enemies, specifically eight GOP sinners

(00:51):
and a Republican congressman. Yes, they were literally spying on
our men and women that are in Washington who've been
elected by you and I and the one thing and
the only thing they had in common was that they
were all Republicans. Also, the FBI director Caspittel has fired

(01:13):
the FBI agents involved in tracking GOP senator phone calls.
But first, did you see that gold just hit an
all time new high of over four thousand dollars an ounce?
And if you hear that, you're like, are you kidding me?
And you're thinking, gosh, I missed my opportunity. Well, I
don't know if you missed your opportunity. But my friends

(01:35):
at Kurt Elliott Precious Medals they can answer that question
for you.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
You also may not.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Be paying attention to the incredible gains with silver that
are happening right now as well. And that's why I
trust the guidance of the team at kirk Elliott. In fact,
I literally just got a hundred ounce bar of silver
the other day. And the reason why is because after
I talked to the team at kirk Elliot Press Medals,

(02:00):
they let me understand exactly where I can have a.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Big upside in investing in silver. Now.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
The other part that I love about them is this
they have transparent pricing. There are a lot of gold
companies that you'll hear about if you listen to talk
radio or podcasts or watch TV, but do they tell
you how the pricing actually works well. At kirk Elliott,
they're real simple, just eight percent when you buy, and

(02:27):
zero commissions when you sell, with no hidden fees. Ever,
that is the other reason why I recommend them to
all of you. They also don't sell you quote rare
coins or precious coins that you pay insane markups on
and then when you go to sell them you find
out they're really not worth that much.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
They are a bullyon only approach.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
They focus on investment grade medals, no overpriced collectibles, no gimmicks.
That means you get more gold or silver for your
money at fair value when it's time for you to sell.
So if you're ready to find out if gold and
silver is right for you and your portfolio, then call
them and get a plan. You can visit them at

Morning Update and it starts right now.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Story number one.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
This is a story that I'm about to tell you
that it's an incredibly important one. It is a fact
now that the FBI literally spied on not one, not two,
not three, four, five, six, seven, but eight GOP senators.
It was called a total analysis. That is the terminology

(04:03):
that's used by FBI investigators to analyze cellular call data
for federal probes. Think of it as link analysis that
shows patterns of communication location data as well as potential
targets network of associates. This should shock every single one

(04:25):
of you to a core. And these declassified records, as
the FBI Director Cash Betel is now exposing code name
Arctic Frost was brought because of a whistle blower disclosures
to Senator Grassley and Senator Ron Johnson that showed nearly
one hundred conservative groups, including Turning Point USA, were part

(04:50):
of the probe. Now you have something that's even more shocking,
and that is not only was the FBI going after
conservative groups, but the FBI was spying on senators and
some of those senators are now fighting back. Senator Ron
Johnson saying it this way in a statement earlier, I
was just briefed by the FBI's Dan Bongino that the

(05:13):
FBI and the Justice Department obtained call logs from eight
US senators, including myself. We were surveilled simply for being Republicans.
This does not surprise me, but it should shock every American.
Senator Johnson continued, What the Biden administration has done is

(05:37):
an outrageous abuse of power. It is blatant political persecution.
Those responsible must be held fully accountable. Now you may
ask yourself what is in this actual document. The Federal
Bureau of Investigation unclassified document dated nine to twenty seven

(05:58):
of twenty twenty three puts it in a simple manner.
The FBI special agent with the name redacted, conducted preliminary
toll analysis on limited tolls records associated with the following
US Senators Mike Kelly, Lindsey Graham, Bill Haggerty, Josh Holly,

(06:21):
Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, Cynthia Loomis, and Senator
Marsha Blackburn. You look at what I just explained to you,
and this is the weaponization literally of our federal government
right before our eyes. The other question is this, who

(06:42):
are the FBI's supervisory special agents and why are their
names redacted? Who approved the report and the surveillance of
the US senators is another question that should be asked.
Markings indicate that the FBI Washington Field Off. This was
doing this during the Biden administration. This also means that

(07:06):
there was a team involved as well. An FBISSA manages
investigative teams and approves the reports that we now are seeing.
Toll analysis, as I mentioned, is used to analyze cellular
data and the call details for federal probes. This is
a highly revealing investigative tool. It exploits all the patterns

(07:29):
of the targets or the people involved in the communication investigation,
and it also is incredibly invasive because it would look
at the location data of those senators that were being
spied on. Now, several of these senators decided to have
a press conference that were the targets that were spied on.

(07:53):
Senator Grassley was the first to speak, and I want
to play it for you. Listen to what they had
to say that we.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Can find the solicitation of these telephone records, which I
think emphasizes the political weaponization that was behind all this effort.
And we're still getting more information, but we've released some

(08:20):
records today and I'll let Senator Johnson take over from here,
and then each one of you collegues can join in
when you want to whatever you want to say.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
First of all, I want to thank Sander Grassley. It
is because of his relentless advocacy for whistleblowers that a
lot of this information is servicing right now. We wouldn't
know about the list of one hundred Republican entities that
were targeted by Jack Smith Arctic Frost's investigation. I don't
think we know about this as well, So we need whistleblowers.

(08:50):
I think Dan Bongino and folks of the FBI they
don't know where all the records are hidden. They still don't.
They're not necessarily getting huncent cooperation. But this is outrage
what has happened. I just want to give you a
timeline this. I think you've already got the the FBI
sheet that shows the number of members of Congress that
were targeted Representative Kelly Sanatra's, Graham Haggerty, Holly Sullivan, Tuberville, myself,

(09:15):
Santa Lummis, and Blackburny. This memo was dated September of
twenty twenty three. To put it all into context, the
mar Lago raid occurred in August of twenty twenty two.
Jack Smith announced the indictments against President Trump in August
of twenty twenty three, so this is almost two months later.

(09:36):
They're casting this net, this fishing accident expedition against members
of the Senate in the House. Again, I've been investigating
this with Sanata Grassley. This doesn't surprise me, but it
should shock every American of what the Bide administration has done.

(09:58):
And by the way, this is the first time I
was targeted by the FBI under the Obama administration. The
same thing happened to both Sender Grassley and I as
part of the Foreign Foreign Influenced Task Force. We were
giving a com A briefing to try and convince us
that the Hunter Biden laptop was no big deal, basically
trying to throw us off the track. So this is

(10:20):
major corruption just being revealed inside the Obama and Biden department.
Justine the FBI and I'll turn it over to guest
Senator Haggerty, who's one of the individuals. Again, none of
us were subject to targets this investigation. There's no predicate,
there's no reason for this other than efficient expedition, which
again should outrage and shock every American.

Speaker 7 (10:41):
Senator Haggarty, thank you, Senator Johnson and Chairman Grassley, thank you.
For your leadership in making this happen. This is an
extraordinary revelation that just took place this afternoon. My colleagues
and I found out all of US Republicans by the way,
that we replaced under investigation by this FBI under the
Joe Biden FBI that was led, I presume by Jack

(11:01):
Smith and his predecessors. This isn't the first time that
it's happened, though Senator Johnson just mentioned this. I served
on the Trump transition team in Trump Tower in twenty sixteen.
Senator Blackburn was vice chair of the transition committee then.
As we're probably a dozen or more members of Congress
to think that we were all surveilled back then by
the Obama FBI. This corruption to run deep, runs deep,

(11:25):
and it's gone on for far too long. And the
fact that it's happened here again, the fact that they
are looking at our records in twenty twenty three sitting
members of the United States Senate. Again, the only thing
that we have in common, the only thing that common
in this entire list, is that we're all Republicans. They've
decided to come after us. This is as partisan as
it gets. The FBI and the corruption's running. There has
to be cleared out. Thank god we have Cash Betel

(11:48):
and Dan Bongino there. This has to be addressed, it
has to be resolved. It needs to happen today.

Speaker 8 (11:54):
What we know is this that the FBI under Joe
Biden and under Barack Obama, that they exercised activity that
they had no authority to exercise. And as Senator Haggardy mentioned,
we know what they did in twenty sixteen to the

(12:15):
Trump transition team. And now we find out that after
the mar A Lago raid, after the indictment of President Trump,
they surveil US people who support President Trump, members who
are all Republicans. But it shows you how out of

(12:39):
control and rotten to the core and politicized the FBI
had become, and how they had absolutely no problem at
all whatsoever with political weaponization. We appreciate the information we've
gotten today. We look forward to their investigation on this.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
You just heard from many of those that were targeted
by the FBI. As you heard Bill Haggerty say, we
are sitting members of Congress, and by the way, we
now have learned it's not just senators. There was also
a representative that had their private communications tracked by the

(13:23):
former Special Council Jack Smith under the Biden administration. The
FBI Director Cash Bettel, also revealing files obtained by Fox
News show that Smith, in his official capacity at the
Department of Justice, as he investigated Donald Trump and the
events of January sixth, twenty twenty one, decided to not

(13:45):
only track the phone calls of Lindsey Graham, Marshall Blackburn,
Ron Johnson, Josh Holly, Cynthia Loomis, Bill Haggerty, Dan Sullivan,
Tommy Tuverville, but also we now have learned Republican Representative
Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania. The alarming doctor document revealing that
Smith and his Arctic Frost team had subpoena telephone providers

(14:07):
for the lawmakers records in twenty twenty three, was recently.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Discovered by Patel.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
Patel confirmed the legitimacy of the findings in an ex post, writing,
we recently uncovered proof that phone records of US lawmakers
were sees for political purposes. That abuse of power ends now.
Under my leadership, the FBI will deliver truth and accountability
and never again be weaponized against the American people. That

(14:35):
abuse of power ends now, it seems to be the
mantra unfortunately that is needed by this administration to make
sure that these bad actors are exposed and rooted out. Finally,
you also heard one other thing that was really important
that was mentioned there. We need listle blowers. You heard
that from Senator Johnson. He is asking for others to

(14:58):
come forward that may not about abuse of power that
was happening in the deep State and letting them know
there's a safe place to bring it. Bongino, we also
know brief the impact of the lawmakers on Monday afternoon
and said that it is a disgrace that he's having
to sit there and show what he has found. It
is a disgrace that I have to stand on Capitol

(15:20):
Hill and reveal this that the FBI was once weaponized
to track the private communications of US lawmakers for political purposes.
That era is over. Several of the senators who have
allegedly been spot on not only spoke at the press
conference which you just heard, but said that they are

(15:40):
also going to be looking into this from a congressional standpoint,
And to put it just an overall perspective for you,
Senator Holly called Smith's actions not only an abuse of power,
beyond Watergate, beyond j. Egger Hoover, one that directly strikes
he said at the Constitution, the separation of powers and

(16:02):
the First Amendment. And thank goodness that President Donald Trump
has put great men in charge of the FBI to
root out this pure evil that is in sight.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Of it now.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Story number two, The FBI Director Cash Pttel has fired
agents involved in tracking the phone calls of eight Republican
senators and a congressman as part of the former Special
Counsel Jack Smith's investigation, a sham investigation into President Donald J.

(16:34):
Trump communication records belonging to GOP Senators Lindsey Graham, Marsha Blackburn,
Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, Cynthia Loomis, Bill Haggerty, Dan Sullivan,
Tommy Tuberville, and Representative Mike Kelly. We know now for
a fact, we're handed over to Smith's Arctic Frost's team

(16:59):
after they subpoened major phone companies in twenty twenty three.
The fact was unknown to the public until this week,
when Cash Bettel, the FBI director, saying he discovered the
files hidden in a lock box that was placed in
a vault in a cyber place where no one can

(17:22):
see or search these files.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
The FBI director saying this.

Speaker 9 (17:29):
It in a lock box, put that lock box in
a vault, and then put that vault in a cyber
place where no one can see or search these files.
They're called a restricted access and prohibited access. Restricted access
means some people get to see it. Prohibited access you
put it in there when you want to hide it
from the world, and that takes the authorization of the
Attorney General and the director of the FBI. So not

(17:51):
only did they weaponize this law enforcement, but when we
got in there, and when I got in as the
FBI director, from my experience as rushing Gate, I knew
where to look and what rooms to open and what
to to kick down. And that's what we did. We
found this information to expose to politicization by Jacksmith and
the prior Department of Justice. I mean, just think about it.
Eight city United States senators phone records were gathered in

(18:13):
subpoena through the grand jury process, and it was buried
and wormholed. It was the hope that no one would
find it. So we're just scratching the surface here, but
accountability is coming. We are finding every single person involved.
We will not leave a single room locked. We will
go in through all the prohibited access requirements and we
will find the material and show the American public like

(18:34):
we have done in this FBI more transformative and transparent
than any in the US history, to bring accountability to
the American people. And we were working with our partners
in Congress, who should be furious at the prior administration's
leadership and weaponization in singular politicization of law enforcement. The
American public sees what we're doing, Sean with the statue
just right off in the beginning. They see what we're
doing here to unseal the vault and show the world

(18:58):
how the deep state actually.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Operated cashptel, making it clear this is the beginning, not
the end. And if you go back and you actually
look at what he said quote you put it in
there and when you want to hide it from the world,
and that takes the authorization of the Attorney General and
the director of the FBI. So not only did they

(19:20):
weaponize this law enforcement, but when we got in there,
and when I got to in as the FBI director,
from my experience as Russia Gate, I knew where to
look and what rooms to open and what doors to
knock down and that is what we did. So if
you want to know why the President of the United

(19:40):
States of America decided to pick Casptel to do this job.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
It is exactly for this reason.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
And it goes back to what else he had to say, saying, quote,
we found this information to expose the politicalization by Jack Smith, member,
this guy in charge of special counsel, weaponizing our government
to go after Donald Trump and the prior Department of Justice,
he added, before revealing that he fired the agents who

(20:07):
facilitated the secret investigations into sitting US law makers. Now
Holly by the Way Center. Holly, one of the senators
who had his phone calls tracked by the Biden administration's DOJ,
called Smith's subpoena an abuse of power beyond Watergate, beyond

(20:28):
Jaeger Hoover, one that directly strikes at the Constitution, the
separations of power, and the First Amendment. Holly also said
it's time for there to be a special counsel, saying, quote,
we need a full investigation of all involved, who knew
about it, who ordered it, and who approved it. Anyone

(20:50):
and everyone who violated the law must be prosecuted the
way to save the country is to restore the rule
of law, the senator said. Now, the US Office a
Special Counsel the USC in August open an investigation into
Jack Smith, who may have unlawfully targeted President Trump, and

(21:13):
that may be where this investigation is going next.
