Speaker 4 (04:00):
Great, Let's get into the show.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Of course, we start the same way we always start,
and that's what y'all's comments. It was a lot of
times y'all's comments leads us down the road to where
we want to go. And we got three comments for
Balls d Sports five seventy eight, Beware of Owner. The
first one is from Mary hi Rod Herron and justin
Joe's ear. Holy hell, what a mess? Also, who didn't
(04:27):
see this coming? I'm old and I remember Pete Rose
receiving lifetime banishment from baseball. And then these last few
years gambling have seen the elevated legitimacy and sports culture
in these gambling sites are sponsoring ESPN and other sports
podcasts add to that their accessibility. Before you had to
go someplace or call someone and have a connection, it
was not so easy to place a bet. Yeah, and
(04:49):
also if you didn't have the money for the bet,
somebody might break your fucking legs. So you were like, hey,
maybe I don't Maybe I don't bet so much. My
husband he took me to some place.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Yeah. Yeah, you'd be.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Like, who is that act that got a fucking black eye?
Now you're like, oh, you owe somebody some money, nigga?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah, Jay Leno, Yes, my husband took me to someplace
in Vegas so he could place a ten team parlay
and only the degenerates were there. But now everyone has
access via an app on their phone. Will they slash?
Can they fix this? It depends on what you mean
by fix, I would say, because okay, so let me
(05:33):
just okay, we gotta run through the story for those
that don't know, and it's a lot, so just buckle up.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
There.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
We already know there was an investigation in it. Terry
Rose there two years ago about basically basically point shaven
for lack of a better term, he took himself out
of a game nine minutes into it with a leg injury,
and there was some line movement, some betting movement that
(06:03):
was flagged, and it was like a lot of people
bet on Terry Rosere to have a lot lower points
in everything this game.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
It was like, this ain't normal. Something wrong.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, and this is after John tay Porter did a
similar thing, and so we only found out about it,
I believe, I don't think we found out about it.
He was already traded to the Miami Heat, right, So
for a lot of us it was like, huh, I
don't know if he did it or not, but if
he did do it, that's fucked up and we'll see
(06:34):
what happens. Well, the NBA investigated and cleared him, and
so it was like, I guess he didn't do it. Now,
I had forgotten this part of it. But apparently after
he allegedly faked that injury, he didn't play again for
the rest of the season. And the scuttle button now
(06:54):
is that the league set him down like they was like, ah,
like you doing something, we We're not going to expose
you and tell the world we're investigating you. And and
I guess maybe even let the gamblers know that we're
onto their shit. I don't know, but we're investigating this
and we don't trust you. So you gotta sit down,
(07:14):
right And I think in a world where you're in
bed with gambling, that's a huge violation because I think
the only thing, the only way you can really be
in bed with gambling is to be one hundred percent transparent.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
And because you're in bed with them, right.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, because the whole illusion of this, you're betting on
a thing, is people think they're betting on something that's
not rigged, that is fair, that it's transparent, that they
know what's going on, and knowing that a player rigged
a result would obviously taint a lot of people's view
of just gambling. And the game itself is in bed
(07:53):
with gambling. So it's like I'm brought to you by DraftKings,
FanDuel just that. And so to find out like, oh,
it's people within your that's like, yeah, I saw the
line on myself and I told somebody put some money in.
So apparently the NBA cleared him, but the FBI never did.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
No, they did not, and so.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
They arrested him last week and are you know, pressing
and federal charges against him.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
What I think is interesting there in.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Two ways is people are like, oh, so the NBA
must be in on it.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
I think the NBA and all these leagues, I've been
saying this for years on this podcast, all of these
leagues want you to think they're the big dog. They're
bigger than the government.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
I've never believed this.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
By the way, even back when people owe the NFL
they do the best vetting, they find the most dirt.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
I don't think they do, because way too.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Often motherfucking murderers and killers and rapists and shit be
in those games, and then the league and the team
tells you, don't worry. We looked into it, and we
cleared Von Miller. We have we clear like another name
that's got to come up. And this is gonna be
a probably extensive conversation, and I don't want to go
too over the place, but remind me when we get
(09:11):
to Chauncey Billups. They vetted Chauncey Billups too, and we
brought it up when he got that job, and I
remember it was inconvenient at the time.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Nobody want to talk about it. I think you're trying
to bring.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
A black man down, but like he had a rape
charge against him a long time ago.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
He was accused of sexual assault.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
The Blazers when they hired him as a coach was like,
we cleared him, we investigated it. I read an article
at the time that was like, they never even reached
out to the victim or witnesses, So what did they
vet agreed?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (09:44):
They basically just went and found out, like is this
gonna be a problem. It's gonna be an everyday thing.
Don't worry, We're gonna tell everybody. We looked into it,
and you're good. And for the most part, media and
everybody moves on. They're like, well they why would they
let him play if he was Why would they let
him coach if he was a bad guy. You know,
I have a friend who is She is like, it's
really bothering me that Chauncey Billups is the one might
(10:06):
go to jail, And I'm like, I don't know why,
you know what I mean, Like I'm not saying I'm hope.
I was like, I hope he goes to jail, but
like the idea of him being this upstanding pillar of
the community, I'm not even sure where that came from.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
I feel like that's.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Part of the p R two is, oh, he's a
great guy, and no one wants to believe that. Well,
he was allegedly using his great guy name to get
people into rig poker games with the five Families. The
mafia didn't know they were still out here.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
But like this, they do great in any economy. Apparently
they was like nigga, we ain't never.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Left LaCosta Noster. I mean, they ain't had no murders
over there. No, No, none of their families went out
of business.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
They still got the five.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
Like that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Apparently it's five. It's been five. It's gonna stay five bit.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
No expansion or reduction, no.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Diversified.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
They don't got no more fucking expansion franchise. It's not
the six families yet, it's just the five. This is
gonna always be the five for the last.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
One hundred years.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
No, he is not expanding.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
So uh so that's.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Chauncey Billups as well. But all right, so Terry rosere
let me like I said, let me get back. I'm sorry,
I'm all over the place. Terry rosere gets busted. The
accusation is he told a family member basically put some
money on me to get the under and the FEDS
(11:34):
are going as far as saying he literally got money
delivered to his house that was bad on him, which
I understand now why the NBA couldn't do shit.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
They don't have an apparatus to know.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
If he got some money. Right stand, I'm gonna call
this thing.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
The three Peas. Okay, called the three Peas.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
There's three things with this gambling that are different but connected,
and in each case it makes it hard to prove.
It's plausible deniability built into it. So the first one
is these motherfucking prop bets.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
What's the prop bet?
Speaker 2 (12:20):
If you go bet, now, you're not just betting, Oh,
the Hornets will win, the Blazers will lose. It'll be
they'll win by seven, they'll lose by four. Now you
can go, I don't think Terry Rogier will get five rebounds.
I am betting five dollars. He won't get five rebounds.
That's a prop bet.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
So it then got down to more stat statistics.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
I don't I mean, it's just a prop bet. I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
It's just you can bet, you can bet on.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
The prop.
Speaker 6 (12:55):
It's like, like you said, it's not just who's gonna
win to lose, right, so you get look more like over.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Under right, And so it's tempting because if I'm a player,
I can be like, hey man, put a million dollars
on me not getting six rebounds. I'm just not gonna
get six rebounds.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
And they do it on all that stuff, right, yeah, okay,
I'm with you now today.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Yeah well.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Right, they're gonna look up and watch the file hit
the ground. So that's the props. So that's the verage,
that's the players props. That's one part of the ped
That's what Terry Rozier got busted doing. And he also
got busted doing the second one. And this involves Damon
Jones who was also involved in this case. He's got
(13:49):
but the and and low key. It also involves Chauncey Billups.
So now all three of them have are in the
second p which is what I call privileged information. Privileged
information is when I know some shit don't nobody else know,
and it can influence gambling. And I just put my
bed in first, or I tell somebody else to give
(14:11):
them some information, like you need to hurry up and
bet on this.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Like inside of trade trading like with Macca, Steward got.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Kind of inside the trader. But think of it, it's
a lot more. It's very simple though. It's like Damon
Jones knew because he's friends with Lebron James and they
talk all the time, he knew there was gonna be
two games Lebron James was gonna play in, and so
because they had talked on the phone about it, He's.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Like, cool, got this info.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
He immediately started texting his homies, make sure y'all bet
on Lebron the Lakers do not do this, that or
the other whatever. And even in the text, this is
as explicit as him saying like make sure d Jones
get his too. Oh damn, you put it in text
his name, like, Damon Jones, make sure I get mine too.
He had a gambling problem, damn, which is one of
(14:57):
the exploits that no one really talks about. They we
always think of the fans having gambler problems. No one
thinks that players could have some gambling problems. Agreed, And
then the last p oh, and then I'm sorry, I
forgot to mention. So Terry Rozier telling his cousin, I
might my calf has hurt, I might not go tonight,
and then it's coming out that's plausible to no ability
(15:21):
because when the league is investigating you, you could be like,
I didn't think my cousin was gonna bet money. I
really was just talking to my cousin. I'm sorry, I
didn't mean for that to happen, and they'll go, fuck,
we can't prove that that that you did that because
they don't have the government apparatus to go know that
a two hundred thousand dollars delivery was made to your
(15:41):
house or whatever.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
They can't.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
They can't threaten anyone with jail time. They can't. They
can't make someone cooperate. They can't, you know. So like
a lot of this stuff is the League is kind
of paying for the idea that oh they're a fast there,
so they know so much information about you, they know everything.
They kind of paying for that reputation because people are like, well,
(16:03):
how could this happen? And it's like the world, the
truth is they've been lying. No, none of these leagues
know everything. You think Aaron her Nanda's gets in the
NFL if they know everything, nor they'll be like, hell no,
this nigga already killed two people in Florida, while we're
gonna have them here, you're gonna kill somebody again, and
everybody's gonna know we knew, okay the third and.
Speaker 6 (16:22):
Then Knight was living on reputation until he got knocked
out Bob Barb and then it's like, oh, that's right,
nobody's afraid of sugar anymore. But for a long time
it was the reputation of, oh, you don't want problems
with defferent records.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, And.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
NFL gets off on the same thing. NCAA gets off
on the same thing. That's why they punish you so hard,
because they don't want you to look past this and go,
wait a minute, this shit be happening under y'all watching.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Y'all really don't be knowing nothing.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
That's why y'all come down so hard on people, because
it's like, well, we have to put the fear of
God into the next guy.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Okay, And how does Chauncey tie up into this second one?
Speaker 2 (17:03):
That's what I was going into. Chauncey is a coach.
He knows my team is tanking. He knows which guys
he's not gonna play so that the team will lose
he's given.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
That information to people.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
So he caught up in two of the three. That's
I haven't got to the third one yet.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
But he can control outcomes of games.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
To do yeah, rivileged information too, Like he's telling people
ship that nobody can know unless I mean, you could
guess a team's tanking, but you don't actually know tonight.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
I won't be playing our center, you know what I.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Mean until they called the starting lineup, right, or you
not running to play for them or pull them out
when they like, oh he just hit four in a row.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
He coming out, he needed the breath he come and
you don't got to explain to nobody why you pulled
them out.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
M h nen.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
We get to the third one. You got props, player props,
privileged information, and poker. Now this one I don't really
got nothing to do with the sports sports really, but
the Five Families, the Mafia was having high stakes poker
games at these like private like estates, so like private
(18:30):
houses and ship.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
So this was not in Vegas where there's gruves and regulation.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
And the thing that they're accused of doing is rigging
the games. And we're talking like James Bond level like
glasses that can see the cards in your hand X
ray tables.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Ain't I ain't, No, I ain't know they had them class.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Where you puts the deck, they can tell which cards
is in there and ship like it was. And so
basically the allegation is Chauncey. They were using Chauncey's good
reputational name as a way to get these other players
and big, big money people into the game. Then they
would slowly rob them through playing poker. And I guess
(19:16):
he gets a cut his reputation.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
It's the reputation of being a gambler, a.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Reputation of being an NBA coach.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
I think it's his reputation, complete circle.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
I don't think, Okay, everything encompassing of him.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
Yes, like you add that, like we know he gambled,
we know Chauncey bed these games. I'm gonna show up
because Chauncey are known gambler in these circles.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Like one of those.
Speaker 6 (19:42):
So he's a coach, he's a reputation. He got things
to lose, like I got things to lose. Yeah, I'll
show up at that game.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Now.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
You know, I like being right, and you know I'm
very smug, so I have to I have to take
a sip a nice.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Not you yeah, r. I just said this that he
was like, something's gonna happen when the Least started tying
up with these gambling ships.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Well, this that part I feel like a lot of
people were on. That's not the part I want. I
want to take my smug mugs sip on Okay, but
I am gonna take a smug mug sip on this
and it's gonna seem like I'm taking a shot and
I'm not.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
But it is.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
This is what I meant when I said the Kawhi
Leonard story wasn't I couldn't tell how big a deal
it was. Right, This is exactly what the fuck I
meant on my page, on my page, on my first
U page on Twitter, that ship is that Kawhi Leonard
story was on there like all the time. I just
(20:43):
log on five posts from Pablo and everybody. I was like, Oh,
that's weird. It's not it's on my newspaper.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
They're not talking about it. No, no, yes, yeah't that much.
They're not. The CNN is not covering it, Like I mean,
is it a big deal?
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Or am I just in a hyper focused circle where
it's a big deal to me and my friends. But
other people don't care about it in the way that
I care about it. And you know, I got a
little pushback on that.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
That's fine. That's what happens to you, boy when you
when you first out here.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
But this ship right here, this ship right here, nigga,
it's on NBC, it's on seeing ABC, Fox News, your
regulass News, the every ESPN show is covering it. It
It broke into the middle of the news, meaning like, uh,
(21:39):
we gonna stop talking first take to go to cash.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
But tell that's what I meant when I was like, I.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
That's to me a big story, Like when you like, man,
people really won't think about this cast salary cap circumvention
and Steve Baumer, I'm like, are they.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Thought, Like, I don't know if they are. This ship
is what I'm talking about when I'm like.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Oh, yeah, this is huge. This is a problem for
the league. This is some what is out himself a
gonna do ship, Like like I don't that that other ship.
I'm like, I don't think Adam Silver really has to
do anything about the Kawhi Leonard stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
If he just if the.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Investigation comes back and goes yeah, we couldn't really find anything. Okay,
I guess we're moving on. Even if people go, I
don't know, I think something was there, you can move.
You can't do that with us. He cannot come back.
They already did. Or we can't find anything on Terry
Rose there, nigga, they fin to bring the hammer of
God on this man. He's already been They already said
(22:39):
they are going to pay him the rest of his salary.
And he still can't play basketball. They already said that.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
None of them, none of them can touch basketball again.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
Yeah, well.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Right, Phillips Billups is fighting it, but he can't coach
while he's fighting it. Like like, I don't know how
long these trials are gonna take. And I hear you justin,
but just hear me out for a second.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Even if not guilty, Yeah, I disagree.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
I think if they're not guilty, it'll be because you
have to think future, right, Let's let's let's think.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Let's think it through.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Let's not get caught up in the moment when we're
gonna find out they're not guilty.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
If they're not guilty, three years.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
From now, two years from them, like Terry won't be
able to play basketball, So I know he's gone.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
He too old to be fucking around.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
If they come back at thirty four thirty five, like
he's it's over for him.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
I'm sorry to that man.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Whether he's innocent or guilty don't matter. But as a coach,
you technically could get found not guilty and make a
comeback story. I'm just saying, like, you still gonna miss
a minute to prove your innocence. You won't be the
Blazer's coach who's waiting three years for you to be
(23:56):
innocent so they can be like, all right, you can
coach the team again. It's over for him as a
coach here, even if he's exonerated, because there's some extenuating circumstances.
I'm sure he can play to the crowd. And this
is trump tagging in the NBA. This is about a
black man. He can spend a story to get him
back in the league. I just don't know three years
(24:16):
from now it's even gonna be worth it, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
I don't know who's gonna give him that chance to
be like, yeah, I'll touch you. Because even when he
comes home, bro, you hot right now? Can you trust anything?
Even if he found not o J was found not guilty,
You're still not fucking with to a certain degree. And
that's all I'm saying with Chauncey. He may be found
not guilty, but who's gonna take the risk of being like,
(24:46):
I'll have him as an assistant or team.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
You're not wrong.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I just always like to allow for the possibility because
I think a lot of times we say shit definitively
and then like the shit come to pass and be like, oh,
I guess everybody really didn't give a fuck about that,
because I would have honestly, when he was up for
the job and they brought up the rape case, I
was like, he might not even get the coaching job,
and apparently nobody gave a fuck, you know what I mean.
(25:12):
It was wise Malika Andrews or anyone going to bring
this up against a black man. So like, I've seen
people weaponize things where I thought they were wrong and
prosper on the other side, and so I'm very I'm
less inclined to be definitive, but I actually absolutely hear
what you're saying, and I and I don't like that
(25:33):
would not surprise me at all if he somehow beat
this case.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
But the stink is too much.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
But I guess what I'm saying is I'm looking at
a timetable of like what if it's ten years from
now and he's coaching college basketball.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
I don't it wouldn't be crazy.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
People wouldn't have the same.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Time right, Like, it wouldn't be Yeah, it wouldn't be
nothing a yeah, especially with Trump like nothing to me.
I'm done for the most part with absolute because it's
like I'll be watching people do unforgivable shit on the
dail and they just out here winning, just showing up
the next day like what, Yeah, we're killing people on
(26:16):
boats that we don't got no more fucking evidence against
and fuck y'all doing like I'll see y'all tomorrow. We're
gonna kill some of them, see but peace. So uh anyway,
that's the three p's right. You got your prop bets,
you got your privileged information, and you got your poker.
I think the penalties are gonna be interesting because people
(26:38):
talking about sports penalties and I'm like, what about this jail?
Speaker 1 (26:42):
What about this jail? Yeah, because that's not trying to
be funny. People act like games and suspensions equal jail time, bitch.
They don't and they're not the same things.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Yeah, now let's get into some of the philosophical stuff.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
All right though too case Mitchell said, I that's my friend.
I need Eviden're.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Gonna have a lot of compassion for that man.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
So, dude, you're right. There may be some people I
just don't Kevin Love don't own no teams Kevin Love.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Yeah, but Kevin Love posted a joke where Chauncey Billos
was holding Terry Roseer like the meme of the dude
at the concert that got caught cheated at the Coldplay.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
Concert, and.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Dame Lillard left a comment and said weak ass ship,
and Kevin Love took it down and put up an
apology and it was like, these are my former teammates.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
This is actually a very serious thing.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
I wasn't thinking about them and what their family is
going through and this ship like that that made me
be like, these motherfuckers can come back, like I don't like.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
Yeah, and the only reason I say Rosier the only.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
Dame also was like what he was getting ready to
initially be the head coach and was.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Like, yeah, but he came back. He's in Portland right now, right,
so so it's like you. Yeah, but I'm saying it's
actually now now it's not. Yeah, exactly, It's funny, but
it's not, it's not. He must have made peace with
it at some point over the last year over there
looking at Yan and being like, man, I wish I
was back home with my kids. So he made peace
(28:30):
with the bill upson family and definitely niggas listening to
mister Morale every day, ready to go back and be.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
A family man.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
But I think it's important to note though, the only
reason I'm saying about Terror's here is just I don't
think a player his age.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
Yes, I agree, yeah, but like if.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
They somehow find out like the FBI has overplayed his
hand cash but tells the stunt queen and this case
is not as tight as they say it is, because
they were saying it in the press briefing, like one
of the teams was like the it was the Toronto.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
It was the wrong team name.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Yeah, but I'm like they missed a basketball with a
hockey team.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
I think they said Toronto Rangers, yes, or some bullshit
like that, where you're like, them are two different sports.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
So it's not like they inspired.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Yeah, it's not like they inspire a lot of confidence
in the cash Fortael Fbi, Right, I'm not like man,
when cash Hotel got you, he got you.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
You know.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
So maybe we are living in a world where six months,
a year, two years from now, we're like, oh, actually
that turned out to not be a big deal. None
of those guys are going to prison, you know, whatever
the information was wrong. If that's possible, I'm not saying
that's possible. I'm not saying that's gonna happen. But if
(29:55):
that's possible, yes, we live in a world where these
dudes might come back. I just don't think undersized Terry Roger,
who plays as bad as he's been playing already, I
don't think that. I don't think anyone's doing it for Yeah,
he's thirty one. I don't think anyone's doing it for him.
And also I think a big part of the problem.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
With Terry Rozier is he uh has been playing like shit.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Like if this, if this was right, if this was
And that's why I said, like, people keep going like
you know, and it's people are very.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
Very messy, and they.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Hope for more bigger stuff because they can't help themselves.
They just keep wanting to escalate everything, and so they
keep being like, Oh, it's gonna get bigger, It's gonna
get bigger. I'm like, I don't know if it's gonna
get bigger or not. I do think obviously, if these
guys did it, probably the likelihood that are only three
motherfuckers in all of sports to do some shit like
this is pretty pretty low. But what you what would
(31:03):
really make it bigger is if it was a player
that you that was a huge deal.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
That's what you gotta be worried about.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
And as of right now, they haven't brought anybo of
those guys in, and part of me thinks they would have.
I don't think this is an FBI that holds back
what cash for tailing goes. Let's not bring in uh
LaMelo Ball because we don't have it. I think if
they had LaMelo Ball around this at all and they
thought they could get some press off of it, they
put his name out there.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
If they thought it was Lebron, they.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
His name been surfacing on the like the rumor or stuff.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
But if the FBI had a real sniff of he's involved,
Oh yeah right, they put his face out there, just
like they did the Purple Walk with Lebron. They had
all the media people out there saying on Lebron's rescu
you gonna see the handcuffs. Yes, you did not turn
himself in in time.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
It's a it's put the dope on the table.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Yeah. Yeah. If it was Steph Curry, they do it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
So I think these are the biggest names they could get.
And that's why Cash Hotel was that. Now here's the
thing though, that's a little bit like, so let's go
to the other side, because that's the that was all
the good news, Like, if there's a way out this
could possibly happen, let's go.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
To the bad news. Guys. I don't I think these
niggas are going to jail. This case started under Biden,
they did it start Underbidy. What what I think is happening?
Speaker 2 (32:37):
And everyone's confusing themselves on is they think Cash, Patel
and Trump and Stephen they did this and I blame
him partially for this misinformation they think they like, oh,
they getting the NBA back before being a league with
too many outspoken black voices. Know what they're doing is
they're doing something they've always done. They're taking credit for
(32:57):
somebody else's work. Yes, so the FBI people that did
this work. I have no doubt did solid work. And
I think Cash for telling them boys slide up in
there to day at the press conference like we're getting them.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
We did it, and we did it because you want all.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
The credit and the and they and they probably they
also seem like the type of people to be like,
we need another headline, do it now. We still we're
still investigating. We still got more people were trying to
do it.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
Trump said, talk about yeah, even the optics of doing it.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
People, even the optics are doing it the day after
the NBA season opened. I can't put past a president
that's so concerned with optics, like, yes, I would love
to be like that's a coincidence, but I under this
administration with cash retail as a stunt queen, I can't.
I can't be like, oh no, that's just when it
happened to come down. I think they do stuff like
this on purpose. I don't think it's as uh as
(33:57):
nefarious as Steven A.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Smith painted it.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Where Like Trump is sitting in his office, he's been
mad about the NBA for years, He's finally getting revenged.
I don't think Trump has the state I don't think
he really cares. No, Like I don't think the NBA
is on his as high up on his enemy's list.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
I think he and I don't think he's uh.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
He's not surreptitious enough to to say that without spilling it.
He is the kind of person that will come out
and be like Adam Silver and the NBA, they are
on my hit list and I'm gonna get them the
same way that he just yesterday said he wants to
get Jack Smith to Merrick Garland under criminal charges.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
He ain't careful.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
So like Steven A wants it to be that important
because Steven they covered sports and he wants to be
like the next Trump. But I don't think that's what's
happening at all. I really think this case was going
to be brought to bear at some point and then
cash whattaels like here, I can swoop in and get
some press.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
But them boys should be worried because them too.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
They he didn't do two years of investigation, federal investigation
to come out on the other side of this with
nothing agreed, and it doesn't sound like they're trying to
get them to It's at least two years since we
known about Terry Roseer and shit right, and they not
doing that type of investigation for them to I think
(35:21):
with these guys as the faces of it, to not
get them.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Meaning like Mike Vick.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
I remember when Mike Vick was the face of that
that other I mean the dog fighting gambler ring like
that mean he was going to jail. They weren't coming
to him to be like, can you cooperate and help
us get bigger fish.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
They was like, nigga, you're the fish.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
You hop on in this plate with this grease brother,
You're done, you.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (35:45):
So I feel like these dudes might be done because
what can they offer anything up? You know, So we'll
see what happens with that. I mean John Tay Porter
know you know what I'm like, it's they're not fucking
around with these bro Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
And also maybe because the way Trump functioned, they was like,
we have to find something else so that people would
quote unquote Quique stop asking about these Epstein files because
this was such a huge splash, not trying to be
funny and all the cross like everybody had to talk
about it everywhere. They're gonna get back on the Epstein files.
But this was just something as a deterrent. Honestly, I
think I think that's why they did it, to start
(36:21):
after the wing.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
They don't need.
Speaker 6 (36:24):
That's what we talked about in the beginning. Everybody's gambling everywhere.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Now, yes they are, And.
Speaker 6 (36:32):
Because of this, this impacts even people who don't fuck
with basketball, but they fuck with gambling. Yes, yes, they
stuck with the odds. They fucked with the integrity or
what they believe to be the integrity of sports. And
if I put my five dollars on here, and I
want my five to be valued as if it was
five million dollars, and.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Let me elaborate too. They arrested thirty people, so it's
chicken or egg. It's chicken or egg, right, Because I've
heard conspiracy people like be Oh, they're trying to make
the black men the face of this, and it's about that.
They're trying to make it about the players. Here's what
I'll say. That could be true, but I don't think
(37:16):
it's true. What I think is our obsession with celebrity.
We only care about three of them names, right, because
we don't know the Gambino family anymore. They're not celebrities
to us. I can't tell you them twenties. The other
twenty seven people can walk right past me walking down
the street and I wouldn't even stop.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
But these three niggas, I know.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Them, So like we can make it act like we
can act like it's a targeted attack on just those
three guys, or we can kind of be like, we
don't really care about gambling, We don't really.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
Care about poker.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
What we care about is our sports, and so these
three guys are sports names, not even the biggest names,
but they're the ones that we care about. But yeah,
they arrested thirty people. Four other individuals, Eric Ernest Mars's Fairly,
Shane Henning, and the Naro Laster were named the Department
of Justice indictments. So when people say they're only doing
(38:12):
this to these brothers, that's actually not true.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Just who gives a fuck about these other niggas.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
I didn't wait outside to see Eric Ernest's mug shot
and what kind of close he.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Wore to his hearing.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
You know, you the only people that got shocked with
his family and friends.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
It took years and spanned eleven states. According to Kash Betel, Oh.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
You know Biden administration did that they too lazy.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
The individuals allegedly involved and running.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Out Eleven eleven not that many.
Speaker 6 (38:43):
When you think about the Internet and the reach of
how many apps you can gamble through, where the kid
is many, you think.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
It would be somebody in these states.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
The key is two is enough for federal charge? Yeah,
like eleven they got your ass.
Speaker 4 (39:04):
Two is enough. They don't need a lesson.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Two means you cross state lines.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
They got nine extra states.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
If you somehow beat an extra you somehow beat them charges.
And like, nah, I didn't go to the Atlanta where
they're like, well what about the other nine states?
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Well, yeah, I do travel there sometimes.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
Okay, well that's a federal charge, my friend, you crossed
them borders. I don't want to hear that news. I
know that ain't bad news.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Just going to New Orleans.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
We ain't gonna follow him, right, You don't just want
to go because it's money growing right now, we're not
improving this all to follow.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
You got to pay that at your own pocket, doll
that's just them letting you know.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
That's just them letting you know how much they got you. Right.
Eleven eleven states is.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
Them letting you know, like, oh, we followed followed, we
know everywhere, so the Banano Gambino on Genevieve's crime families
and some of these eleage poker games are accused of
rigging the contests in their favors. Individuals reportedly use secret cameras,
contacts that can read mark cards, and X ray tables,
among other methods to cheat players out of millions.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Now, I know Mary's here and Mary cove of your ears.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
I don't want you to be upset by this, but
but I saw Pablo Torre tweet out that Kevin Garnett
was at these.
Speaker 4 (40:29):
Games and.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
He's not accused in indictment. He's not accused of doing
anything illegal. He's not even accused of knowing the games
were rigged. If I'm Kevin Garnett and I am ever
in a room with this nigga, I am whooping his
mother fucking ass for this ain't the time to be playing.
(40:59):
This is not the this ain't a scoop bit, just
mother fucking line.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
If I'm not involved at all.
Speaker 6 (41:06):
Even Gilbert said, right my name out your mouth.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Bro, I've never seen Gilbert break character before, like.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
He always in character.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
Yeah, like he's still trying to act like he trolling
like he was like he did something tonight where he
was like, I'm playing the local run at my local run,
and shoot, if I score more than twenty points, I
won't sue y'all for defamation. But I'm like the fact
that you actually and he's like, and I'm dead serious,
I'm like, you want to sue them for defamation so
bad because you scared you talking about mafia nigga. I
(41:42):
would be scared too. Ain't no joke that funny, ain't
no prank worthy. And he tried to act did you
know I was did you know he put me on
his Instagram line like I made a joke on Twitter.
I took that picture from the first.
Speaker 4 (41:58):
Forty eight where the kid got that that that.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Meal and he was about to snitch, and I said,
give it areenas Today he put my picture on.
Speaker 4 (42:05):
His I g R. People was tagging me to and
I was, I was like, I hope I ain't in
this lawsuit.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
Ain't that the truth?
Speaker 2 (42:15):
I know nobody but you got.
Speaker 4 (42:20):
I ain't got that Rachel Niggas money, I ain't no pop.
The New York Times ain't got my back.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
I'm gonna put this on wax I know nobody from
the five families.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Right, I'm scared. I don't want to smoke nor.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
Of their family members of any associations.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
You better take both to be like he could he could.
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Hey, man, I listen, I'll apologize like Iron Ryan Clark
ain't got the truth.
Speaker 4 (42:45):
I will. I was.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
I'm sorry, Okay, I didn't know. Like I don't want
them problems. And so I'm just making a joke with you.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
Right, But I'm just making I'm just making a joke.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
I'm saying Pablo implicating KG being at these games, and
I'm like, what, Pablo, I know you like to do
the our emojis and isn't that interesting shit? And I
know you think that covers you legally, and you're right,
legally you didn't make any allegations about KG. But I'm
(43:22):
telling you KG is a crazy person and it ain't
gotta always be legally. You could be covered legally, but
who's gonna cover you physically when y'all be at some event?
Speaker 4 (43:35):
Man? You know you be at places.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
I worry for Pablo now because I think k bro
if we found out it was on site, would you
be shocked if KG was on site with Pablo? I
wouldn't because he's a crazy person. Oh anyway, I thought
that was reckless. You can listen again. Mary, I'm sorry,
but I thought that was I would I would not
(43:58):
have done that ship because a real crazy man, and
he will fucking be like, yeah, what's up with that
ship you tweeted? You know, like you know, I don't
you know, because he's at the games. It's a criminal,
fucking conspiracy, nigga.
Speaker 6 (44:12):
You know what I'm saying and trying to rehab. He
trying to he's trying to be known out here as
one of these people that can talk sports.
Speaker 4 (44:21):
Brought to you by FANDUID.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
Like like, he ain't playing around. Don't play around with
his name.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
Everybody don't play the same man.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
No, they actually don't one thing. Don't play about us
his money.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
My eyes got bigger ship when he tweeted that, and
then I saw KG through his people or somebody was
reached out. And then Pablo put out like a you know,
they said KG left the game early when he realized
it was gambling.
Speaker 4 (44:50):
He actually thought it was just an after party, blah
blah blah.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
And I said, yeah, that's KG reaching out to let
you know, don't keep my mother fucking name out this ship.
I'm not playing about this, And I'm like, Okay, I
hope it ends at I hope it ends at a
tweet because I would not put it past that seven
foot tall man to show up.
Speaker 4 (45:12):
I would not put it past KG to.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Pretend to be Mark Cuban and be like, yeah, let's
go talk about it, you know, on the air, in
front of everybody, and.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Then just check your ass in the hallway, like you're
gonna talk about the ship.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
We see how treat his friends.
Speaker 6 (45:28):
We saw how he felt about Ray Allen leaving the team,
and how he how he felt about that He don't
even know you. I'm sorry to say it, but I noticed,
man like, we don't he don't know you.
Speaker 4 (45:43):
Don't nobody want to different, don't nobody want to hear there?
Speaker 2 (45:46):
They're part of a news scoop about who was at
a game that a federal cases involving. They like, don't
nobody want to hear that dog? But anyway, I thought
that was funny. The funny detail. Bill Billi's presence at
the those games was meant to legitimize them and make
victims believe they were sitting at a fair table According
to a police commissioner, Jessica Tish of New York City,
(46:08):
he was a portly aware of the scam. He's forty
nine years old and brother, he almost brother. It might
that's bad. That's bad because like, yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
Got here, oh yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 6 (46:27):
And the other thing too because he because to your point,
what he did is illegal, but you was adding an
illegal game, so you can't really suit him. I don't
believe for the illegal game that you participated in. But
what you can't do is say, hey, you knowingly watched
(46:48):
me at that table lose my family because I was
gambling five thousand a week or they right, and you
knowingly saw me go broke, and now I had to
beg and borrow money get whatever.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
I gotta hurt him. I got his ass because he
no only set me up.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
I think so, I think.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
The reason I would push back against that is I
don't think anyone's touching him while the Feds are looking
for him. And also right now, well hold on, I'm
not don I'm not done. I'm not done. I'm not done.
I'm not done. Also, the people he was the face
of stealing the money for is the mafia. And if
(47:29):
you just a nigga that lost some money. You still
ain't trying to take on the mob, you know what
I mean? Like so like, uh, nigga, if you're the
face of them stealing you the mob too? You you
two nigga. Yes, that's how that works.
Speaker 3 (47:47):
He ain't protected, he ain't protecting.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Now you now you're just talking. Now you're just talking.
Now you're just talking. You just wanted to be away.
Speaker 6 (47:55):
I don't believe, No, I don't believe for a second
that that nigga is protected.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
That he was being used take that chance.
Speaker 4 (48:04):
But they don't have leverage on him. He in on it.
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
Like, it's not like, oh, the mob manipulated Chauncey Billups
and the using his Like, no, this nigga was like
you're gonna be mad at him. I'm not saying you're
going to be mad, you're gonna want to retaliate. I'm
not saying you're gonna shouldn't want to retaliate. I'm telling
you it's a little more high stakes than how you
making it sound like, Oh yeah, I'm just gonna run
up on I'm like, okay.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Like he's some nigga in the street.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
Okay, win in ten years when he got out of
prison or what like at the trial, like when you're
gonna do it, I just want to know you're gonna
go to jail, Like what are you gonna do it?
Speaker 3 (48:41):
But it's just what me and set me up.
Speaker 4 (48:50):
I'm telling you, if I'll put if we would cout
bet on this.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Ironically, I would bet more money KG ran up on
Pablo than any anyone that got then KG ran up
on Billups.
Speaker 4 (49:03):
I bet more money on that.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Because because like some of these dudes might have got taken,
but it don't sound like people was like, oh I
got taken and I'm.
Speaker 4 (49:12):
Out of my house.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
It sounded like it was more like it was people
with a lot of money that got money stolen from
them through rig poker games, but not into like the poorhouse.
It sounds like theyhes.
Speaker 4 (49:29):
But the other thing is like.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
I uh, like, like Mary brought up, I wonder how
many players have stumbled into a game. That's what I'm
saying about the Pablo tweet. It's reckless because who knows
how many players that is? And like that's not really news.
I'm a person that got played and you're out here
putting it out there, like there's some sort of association
(49:53):
to this game beyond just I happened to sit at
a table that could have happened to anybody. And you
know that the player's names who are being brought up
so far, like Chahunzi Billips was involved directly. Yes, so
it's like, yeah, keep me out of that ship. If
the government want to put my name out there or something, fine,
But the fact that the government didn't is making it
(50:14):
seem like I'm shady or hiding something or I know
more than I know. And like I said, maybe everybody's
gonna be cool about it, but I would be nervous
if I was poblo of just publishing a list of
like and this no fucker goes at the game, and
this person was at the game, and we know that
the investigation hasn't closed, so like we could be six
(50:34):
months from Kg's name being in it, and.
Speaker 4 (50:37):
To me, that's even more dangerous.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
Like Mary was like, yet you know when I was
like Kg's name isn't criminal, I'm like, right, but imagine
if it was criminally attached, that's even more incentive for
him to run up.
Speaker 4 (50:49):
On your ass, Like you don't put me in this.
I actually am a knowledgeable at the crime.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
I wasn't. I wasn't. I wasn't even radarf, but now
I am, because.
Speaker 4 (51:02):
Yeah, I've been nervous.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
But yeah, So Terry Roseire we talked about his ship.
He was with the Hornets a better Place, fourteen thousand
dollars on unders involving his stats.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
God damn, there's a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Hey man, I don't even know that much about the GAMBLA.
Just don't sound like the dumbest ship you've ever heard
in your life.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
I can see Lebron James, I could see, well that's
still a lot.
Speaker 4 (51:33):
Of money, but just don't sound like you definitely gonna
get caught.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
So this is one person that bettered that much. Yeah,
oh that's ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (51:44):
You don't think you're going to get caught.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
Oh yeah, one person.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
And see that's the thing that's the part of this
that isn't being discussed enough, the addiction, Because that's that's
addict thinking like a normal person would be like, let
me hit for a quick lick. I'm gonna put fifty
dollars on it and make fifty or whatever.
Speaker 4 (52:06):
The fuck.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
I don't know how unders work, but you know I'm
the parlay this, and like, let me make a small
amount of money. Boy, when you put fourteen k on
the under on a random game against New Orleans and
it's the Hornets and it's brother, they know you know something, yes,
(52:30):
like you didn't have even a thousands will cause a flag,
like you almost need to put like fourteen thousand on
something else and that you know you're gonna lose to
make this one, make it like I always do.
Speaker 4 (52:43):
Fourteen thousand.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
You can't do it. And they follow your account to
it and they go, no, this is abnormal.
Speaker 6 (52:51):
I'll watched somebody come in they put forty dollars and
chips on black and then put it all on black
and look and I was like, who would put forty
dollars on one thing?
Speaker 3 (53:04):
That seems crazy.
Speaker 6 (53:06):
I didn't even have for the dogs kept with and
they just randomly was like, your forty on black fourteen.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Green and not dude, for the record, Lebron for the record,
Just James, you're talking about forty on black, right, that's
that's that's Lebron James. You know what I'm saying, forty
on black is is betting on Lebron. This Nigga was
(53:34):
putting like forty on some like bidwist in the back alley.
You know what I'm saying, Like, but no game like
you like, no one was at this table but him, and.
Speaker 4 (53:46):
They was like you are but him.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
I would like to put fourteen thousand dollars you heard
me on Terry Rose here to get under fall rebounds tonight,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
And they actually eight times for they took that much
like the gambling, that gambling. This is gonna lag.
Speaker 4 (54:00):
Are you sure the app should.
Speaker 2 (54:01):
Pop up an alert like you know we're watching this
one right, Yes, just letting you know you.
Speaker 3 (54:07):
Better lose the app the total. First, we don't have
a tear in the NBA. He's in there. He's in there.
Scary tearry the app.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
When you do that, the app to take their name off.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
I think the app shoul dude. It should be like
fans have been alerted to this transaction. Yes, as soon
as you hit the button, the fans have been alerted
that you put this money out. I hope you hey,
I hope you don't win, because it's like, you know,
the case is happening, the case is starting tonight. If
you win this fact, we are contacting the NBA right now,
(54:44):
you go.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
You're gonna need the extra.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Hop you do it, because if you look, look, if
you lose, ain't no case.
Speaker 4 (54:56):
Like d what a dummy, because the house always wins
the house.
Speaker 2 (54:59):
Just take the money if you win, nigga, Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
They was like, if we have to be justified in
paying you.
Speaker 4 (55:07):
They on the phone. It's like that John Wick.
Speaker 2 (55:09):
Shit, will they be putting in the bounties and they
have that room full of collar as soon as they
see him.
Speaker 4 (55:15):
Operator, we got fourteen thousand on tarr Rose here, fourteen
thousand terror Rose there. Take that up. Listen that right
to the Fed.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
Let's put that bounty out.
Speaker 4 (55:25):
Yeah, James Komy, can we get James Comy on the line.
Speaker 1 (55:27):
Yeah, Adam Adam Silva can give me Adam Silva.
Speaker 6 (55:32):
Who put this on a nigga who normally averaged Michael
somehow had a deposit of fourteen k.
Speaker 2 (55:43):
They say he told one of his friends, the narrow
lassiter Denaro, that's a funny first name.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
He could pull himself out the game early. He would
pull himself out of the game early. Last ter also
defending in the cases a ledge that sold the information
to better for one hundred thousand dollars. Why the investigation
looming over him? Rose there was preparing to play for
the Heat this season the guard battle of the hamstring injury.
Ahead of the see team season opener Wednesday, he was
reportedly available to play in the contest. He did not
(56:11):
make an appearance, although he made appearance in court. And
the thing is, they said he was wearing hornets jersey.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
Nigga, why.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
Now that being said, I did not that being said,
I did not see a picture of the front of
him in this jersey for real. It appeared to be
a black hoodie. And the picture I saw on Twitter
was a blue hoodie with hornets on it in the courtroom.
And I'm like, that could be a I photoshop. I
don't know, but that was the rumor. I don't know
(56:44):
if it's true, right.
Speaker 3 (56:47):
And the same thing about Chauncey Bills.
Speaker 6 (56:50):
The rumor like they showed a puture of him with
the with the one of them rich Paul what's the
name of lebron Mm hmm, Like that was a sweatshirt
he had on.
Speaker 3 (57:01):
Like that was the rumor, and that picture was the same,
Like you said, it could have been Ai but.
Speaker 4 (57:10):
Right, So, yeah, I don't. I have not.
Speaker 2 (57:14):
I've only heard rumors that Terry came in the Hornets
thing I counted.
Speaker 4 (57:20):
I don't know if it's true.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
It doesn't seem like it might be true, but I'm
saying it's definitely a straight at the Hornets cart.
Speaker 4 (57:28):
For no reason.
Speaker 2 (57:28):
We not.
Speaker 4 (57:29):
This ain't even about us at this point.
Speaker 1 (57:31):
You ain't even on the team no more.
Speaker 3 (57:33):
Boston. Yeah, he made his name in Boston. Why y'all,
Why y'all looking at us?
Speaker 6 (57:37):
Right?
Speaker 2 (57:38):
And I didn't see any pictures of him from the front,
so like, I don't think, I don't know that it's
a Hornets hoodie or whatever, but that was Here's some
actual pictures of him leaving the courtroom. Is some colorful
shorts and a black hoodie, but you don't see the
front of it. And these are the only pictures I've
seen in him.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
With it.
Speaker 4 (57:57):
So yeah, I don't know, but yeah, man, it's not good.
Speaker 2 (58:03):
And then you know, of course, this makes it very
funny that the Hornets had so we were gonna play
him the Miami Heat and Charlotte and you know, Knights
have different themes, and the theme for his night was
betting night. Oh no, they canceled that night. They canceled
it before this indictment came down.
Speaker 4 (58:21):
But they can't. They canceled because everyone made the same.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
Like joke, like wait, what Terry rose Ere, y'all sure,
y'all want to do that? So yeah, man, we'll see
what happens. The NBA PA, for their part, kind of
sounded like non committal, like it wasn't the staunch defense
of these guys. You would think the integrity of the
(58:46):
game is paramount to NBA players, but so is the
presumption of innocence. Both are hindered when the player popularities
misused the gain attention. We will ensure our members are
protected and afforded their due process rights through this process.
Speaker 4 (58:57):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
And that's the proper thing to say. Yeah, people feder
realized they are not the police, and a lot of
people expect them to do police ship and do like
like expect the league.
Speaker 2 (59:06):
No, this is NBA PA, the players Association. Okay, so
these are the people that would have the player's back.
Speaker 4 (59:11):
You know, I'm saying that statement don't sound.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
Like saying yeah, this don't sound like that confident They
read them papers going that's a very.
Speaker 2 (59:20):
That's a very non committal, like, hey, we all have
the right to due process, and it was innocent to
proven guilty.
Speaker 1 (59:29):
It wouldn't know, you know, banging bacon on the table
time about how dad y'all come out to these players, right, Yes,
I can see them being non.
Speaker 3 (59:36):
Committal about Chauncey.
Speaker 6 (59:39):
But Silvia also said something similar to the to what
the players Association said when he was cornered and was
stuttering uh with a similar statement.
Speaker 3 (59:49):
And now I was like, I mean it's the right
thing to say, yep, but it don't matter. None of
it matters right now.
Speaker 1 (59:55):
Is right?
Speaker 2 (59:56):
Right?
Speaker 1 (59:56):
None of it matters that So you better just be
neutral and be like, look, we'll just let them do
their investigation blah blah blah blah blah. Because they did
they part. It's because their part is you do you don't,
you can't come to work, that's it for them.
Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
And like I said, I don't know how much the
reddit is accurate because of how much people can can
doctor shit. But I mean they said he showed up
in a clutch sports hoodie to his federal court appearents
and it's under NBA reddit. But once again, I want
to say it's probably true, but I don't know, and
(01:00:30):
the and the and I will say the terry thing
looks like it wasn't true because the picture I saw
that everyone was sharing was a bright blue hoodie that
had hornets on it and you could see his whole
chest and ship in the courtroom. And then the pictures
I saw was a black hoodie from the back leaving
like like, I was, like, that's not even the same.
(01:00:50):
He couldn't possibly wore both of those outfits, right, So
I mean anyway, but yeah, it's it's it's pretty bad.
While Bill's not named or mentioned in the Rose Here indictment,
the Trailblazer coch matches the description of a person referred
to as Coke and Spirit.
Speaker 4 (01:01:05):
Of Number eight.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
In that indictment, Coke and Spirit eight allegedly provided inside
information to Earnest suggesting the Trailblazer would attempt intentionally lose
a late season game against Chicago Bulls in twenty twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:01:14):
Three in order to receive a better draft pick.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
The program in rose There was the same one that
resulted in the Toronto Raptor for John tay Porter being
banned from the NBA for life. Yeah, I just don't
see how Terry's not done.
Speaker 4 (01:01:26):
I just don't. I don't know. Maybe he'll like I
said it and let me be fair, Let me be fair.
That's not fair. I can see a.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Way where he's not found guilty in that they can't
really prove the intent that he was trying to like
game the system, like if they can, if somebody will
take the bullet for him, if his cousin goes well.
Terry wasn't actually telling me to sell this information and
bet on him. He was telling me this is a
(01:01:57):
cousin and a friend, and then I sold that information.
I shouldn't have done that, but I kind of fucked
him over when I did that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
That.
Speaker 4 (01:02:06):
But they don't make a lot of homies like.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
That, know they don't.
Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
I think Barry Bonds, I'm saying that that's the only
homie who went to jail, and Barry Bonds took care
of that nigga.
Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
When he got out of there, he was like, I
got you for life.
Speaker 6 (01:02:23):
Him and look here went over to his house to
divide it. It's because he always looked out for me
and I wanted to pay him back the money from
times before when he let me borrow money or took
care of me.
Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Well, i'll tell you what. I'll tell you what too.
I'll tell you what to Justice. I'll tell you what
to Justine. Right right, I'm glad you brought that up.
I'm glad you brought that up. I will tell you
what though. The fact that we know about that money
means he finally cooperating, right, because.
Speaker 4 (01:02:53):
How else they find out about the money.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
The fact that he's like, yo.
Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
I gave him two hundred K I'm like, oh, that's
a specific amount. Huh huh?
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
What they find that one out from Terry? So yeah, man,
and the NBA didn't know that, So how would they
know that?
Speaker 4 (01:03:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Bam out of Bayo on Eric's sposter said, the team
stands behind Terry Rose here and for support.
Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
Okay, we see how long that last?
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
Wait? Bam said him? And Eric? Or did Eric say?
Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
They both said it?
Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
They both said, but okay, that's their teammate.
Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
But honestly, like what they're supposed to say, right, So,
what do y'all think about Terry? Oh he did it,
and we don't he need to get the funk off
the team.
Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
Yeah, they're not gonna say that.
Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
They're gonna say we support him.
Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
He got the right to da da dah.
Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
Yeah, you know he's a good brother. Blah blah blah.
Speaker 6 (01:03:46):
Se so listen that Sam Mitchell Clerks don't have me
thinking about you. And I said, hmm, if you're like,
Justin didn't do that, I know him.
Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
He's a good brother.
Speaker 6 (01:03:57):
I stand just In the possible do anything, have it
or what they do in that house, But I hope
he didn't do it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
Justin. I'm trying to tell you right now they come
knocking on our door. I'm turning over all the tapes.
Just let you know right now you are not protected.
Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
I think I would do what Adam Silver did. I'm
deeply disturbed by the rest of Justin And there's nothing
more important to the Blackout Tips and his fans and
the integrity of the podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
Asks me no comments, So I had a.
Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
Pity in my stomach. It was very upsetting. Justin at
the time cooperated. We ultimately concluded that there was insufficient evidence.
Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
That's all I have to say about that.
Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
No comments, very transparent about what happens at the Blackout
Tips and now don't ask me nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:04:49):
Please come to the live show. We sorry, please please.
Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Justin is no longer associated with this organization.
Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
So yeah, I mean, yeah, I just but yeah, man,
I think that's most of it from the gambling perspective,
and of course, you know, like I said, the morality
of it in a league that is so in bed
with gambling. And I blame this on a lot of
(01:05:21):
the eggheads. I blame this on the people that only
shit on the NBA, that don't seem to enjoy the
game part of it anymore. I blame it on the
course the corporations were so fucking greedy and so like
blatantly nakedly open just trying to get the money out
of everything that they would even allow the sport to
(01:05:43):
be co like to align with gambling. Because at the
end of the day, a lot of this stuff comes
from like the culture of like fantasy football and analytics
and that kind of shit. And when you turn the
game into just soulless numbers, you lose something. Because the
(01:06:09):
analytics game is perfectly aligned with the sports betting game. Yes,
the like the when oh so and so averages this
many points per this and this this, and they do this,
and they numbers don't necessarily make a thing better, and
it doesn't and it can never capture the field.
Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
No, it can't because a lot of them statistic people
took a lot of the shit that I could see,
the fun out of the game because statistically you don't
like them numbers say you don't do that, and everybody
follow the numbers. I'm like, okay, but it did take
something away from the game because they too busy following
y'all statistics.
Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
That's how you get a game where there's so many
three point attempts, yes, because they've just done the math
and the math the maths, shoot three and fuck the
field of it. Fuck the two pointer that you probably
would have made. Get that three pointer that you might make,
but if but it counts for point one four six
of a bucket every time you take that attempt, as
(01:07:03):
appoints to point oh eight and five of a bucket
every time you take a two.
Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
So like, it's that kind of thing.
Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
And I think that made gambling easy because gambling is
now in our phones and our pockets and it's just numbers.
Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
Yes, so you're just playing numbers games.
Speaker 2 (01:07:19):
I hate when I'm at a basketball game and the
loudest people yelling and it's not everybody, but.
Speaker 4 (01:07:27):
Are the gamblers. Yes, especially for like a team like
the Hornets. Well we're not good.
Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
So now like people are at the game, they barely
like basketball. They're just like, I need another three.
Speaker 4 (01:07:38):
I need a three. Come on, Miles, hit that three them.
Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
Dude's out the fucking word the.
Speaker 4 (01:07:43):
Mellow I need a three. Like they're yelling at these guys.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
It's fucking annoying, I'm sure to the players, but it's
also annoying to me as.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
A fan, yes, because like you're not here for the
floor of the game.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
You're just yelling and it's not overwhelming. Meaning those guys
stick out the most because that's so loud. But most
of the people don't, you know, the ever watched basketball. Yes,
they're having a good time. The team's up to twenty,
they had a good time. The gambling people don't care
about that. And when the league validates those people by
(01:08:15):
getting in bed with the same apps that they're on,
it changes something about the soul of the game. The
obvious thing of this scandal that I said was coming,
and I think and so this is where I think
it could get worse, because I actually don't think.
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
This is as bad as it could be yet, But
I said.
Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
The privileged information part was the part. I was like, you,
just how do you control that in this environment?
Speaker 4 (01:08:48):
Agreed?
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
What if and I'm not saying this is happening, but
what if Adam Schefter was a gambling addict, and Adam
Schefter has the fucking inside to everybody's personnel move before
they happen. You know who getting benched a day before?
Had he Sham Sharania knows who's getting everything before? What
(01:09:10):
if some what if one of their their information?
Speaker 4 (01:09:13):
I had?
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
What if they we found out they got compromised by
one to five families or you know, they were relaying
information and to gamblers and selling it. That's when you're
real fucked, I think, because that's all the way through
the whole. That's the media, the league, your processes, and
because the league is kind of I would argue benefits
(01:09:34):
from those guys, The league benefits from Sham Sharania are
breaking news and because it keeps you in the news cycle,
even with some bullshit like oh, a new two year
deal for KD. Like do I basketball fan of KD
care about him signing an extension? No? I was gonna
watch him wherever he played. He can play at the WYMCA,
I won't be there. I love that dude, but it's
(01:09:56):
news to a certain type of outlet that always needs
news to be breaking, which means you have privileged.
Speaker 6 (01:10:01):
They don't have to come from the They don't have
to come from the teams either, or the NBA is propaganda. Look,
they're just propping up certain players. They're always in tune.
It's like, no, y'all doing this, and keep it and.
Speaker 4 (01:10:14):
Keep in mind.
Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
When Sham's reports something because he got it from an agent,
when the agent reports.
Speaker 4 (01:10:21):
Something because he got it from his god, his player.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
So you got a small circle that's getting bigger and
bigger and bigger every year because everyone's so fucking greedy
to get the information. And need you bring in gambling,
which really really relies on insider knowledge as the big ass,
like tell the big advantages.
Speaker 4 (01:10:40):
You just know something everybody else don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
This was bound to happen. Let's not even get into
the NC double A. We just talked two weeks ago
about how the NC Double A was going to allow
athletes to bet on professional sports.
Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
I remember you saying that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
I was like, no, you shouldn't, and I was listening
up on mine I forget who the guest was, but
the guess made and a stude point that I didn't
even think about.
Speaker 4 (01:11:02):
And it's so true. You know they did that.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
Why so they have less stuff they would have to
monitor to catch people cheating.
Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
So you just basically gave up.
Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
You just said, look, y'all can bet on professional sports
because we it's it's a lot of schools with a
lot of players. Yes, we can only really police when
y'all do ship to your own games or to another school.
We are not going to be able to track when
you bet on the Blazers. Now you would think, well, Rod,
that's because they're you know, they're professionals, and those they're
(01:11:38):
just the other kids are amageres Are you telling me
if you're if you went to Duke, you don't got
Cooper Flag's phone number and you might not have some
inside information if he tells you ma'am, I'm knee hurt.
I think I might have to sit down for a minute.
And you find that ship out seven hours before everybody else.
You can't be like, give me all the Cooper Flag unders,
(01:12:01):
give me the Dallas losing by fifty, like give me everything.
Speaker 1 (01:12:06):
I know something and their children, but young adults.
Speaker 2 (01:12:10):
And what the nc double A has said is basically,
even if that happens, we ain't gonna get involved, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:15):
Because we don't want to, because we can't police.
Speaker 4 (01:12:18):
And that that takes us all the way back the
way we started.
Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
They can't police. They've always pretended to be like the Boogeyman,
them and all the all the professional leagues. They pretend
to be like the Boogeyman, and they have convinced the
the the the populace that they actually have power when
they don't because they can't arrest nobody. They can't put
nobody in jail. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, they
can quote unquote investigate, but they can't investigate investigate like
(01:12:43):
a police department can.
Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
Carlos, I mean, Carmelo Anthony had a quote where he
was talking about how the NBA is like the FAES.
When I got in trouble with that stop Snitch and
ship that the commissioner, David Stern reached out to me
by blah blah, and Karen Hunter played that clip from
me yesterday to be like, you know, what do you
(01:13:04):
think about this? And I was like, I think that's bullshit.
I don't think they are the fans. I think Carmelo
was doing shit that me and my friends saw him doing,
and the commissioner reached out to him the way that
me and you would reach out to him. He was
on a videotape series talk Stop Snitching. David Stern did
him a big favor by pulling him in and going,
you can be in the streets or you can go
(01:13:26):
ahead and be an NBA player.
Speaker 4 (01:13:28):
But you can't do both.
Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
No, you can't.
Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
And I was like, that wasn't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Yeah they didn't take private investigators. What Yeah, exactly exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:13:41):
He fell for it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
It didn't take You don't need a private investigators to know.
Being on the Stop Snitching tape was stupid. I thought
it was stupid. I was on message boards and I
was like, I was on shh, like this nigga dumb,
what is he doing? So yeah, anyway, let me make
sure I got through all the gambling stuff. Oh, incriminating
text messages leaked how mafia enforcers uh threatening and attack
(01:14:07):
victims of rigged poker games involving Chauncey BILLUPSFA.
Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
That's what they do, right, Wonder why he got that
black eye?
Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Uh yeah, they said they someone tweeted out organized crime
always delivers with the nicknames.
Speaker 4 (01:14:28):
Let me see if I can zoom in and see
what it says mafia. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
Also, I didn't realize like the name of the operations
was funny. I forgot what they was. But all right,
so here's the nicknames. Ernest this isn't the name of
the operation, just the name of just the people involved.
Speaker 4 (01:14:48):
Organized crime. Nicknames for people.
Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
Ernest a Yello, Nelson Alvarez, also known as Spanish.
Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
G Spanish G. That's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Lewis up Keller also known as Lou app amar Awa
a Awawa Awawa Anyway, also known.
Speaker 4 (01:15:08):
As Flapper Poker and Flappy not Flappy.
Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
Matthew Dedno known as Maddie and the wrestler Eric Ernest
also known as spook.
Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
Thomas Girlardo known as Juice, Tony Goodson known as Black Tony,
Shane Henning know this Shane Shane Henning on his sugar.
Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
Boy, these names. I wonder how they got these names. Boy,
you know, you got to be scared and they be like,
you don't want to flapp a fucking with you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
Osmond Hoddy known as Albabian, Bruce or Big Bruce, Horatio
Hugh known as h Zen Hugh, known as Jonathan Chan,
Jonathan Hugh, Scrully and Stanley.
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
Was about multiple names.
Speaker 4 (01:15:54):
Uh yeah, these nicknames is pretty wild.
Speaker 1 (01:15:57):
Yeah, some of them nicknames don't sound scared, but they
sound in the scared. What you say, didn't that name?
It's associated with the mafia?
Speaker 4 (01:16:03):
Yeah, be cute.
Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
They need some people to come up and help them
with their brandon.
Speaker 1 (01:16:11):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
They also said in text messages they were threatening people
that had lost in games. One such characters in Who
of Brooklyn, New York, also known as Jonathan Chan or
Jonathan Hugh, sent text messages to an alleged victim named
John Doe for number five after he failed to pay. Yeah,
you're not gonna pay me, all right? Bet watch what's
good now? You've been running your mouth unchecked. Oh that's
(01:16:34):
never could sign Another time he said, I punched somebody
in the face the other day. Shit unraveling quick. Don't
if blankets seen anywhere else in the next two days.
Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
You do what you have to do to get the money. Seth.
I'm sick of this.
Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
Uh yeah, this is why when Justin talked about how
I'm gonna run up on Chauncey.
Speaker 4 (01:16:57):
I'm like, no, you're not, No, not.
Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
This niggas mobbed up fit. You find the hope he
go to jail like the rest of the victims.
Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
That's what you for a very long time.
Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
These niggas been texting you when you lost money, like yeah,
I'm gonna fuck you up.
Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
You just happy they gone. That's what you.
Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
Did. You're not getting no more threat threaten to text messages.
Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
If you was pay, if you was Liam Neeson, you
wouldn't be in the NBA, you know what I mean,
if you was getting down like that, you would have
ben got these.
Speaker 4 (01:17:31):
Niggas back, uh if Yeah, this is crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Seth did much more, gave him a little nudge or
small but big threat. He later suggested that that something
had been done to the to the to get the money.
All right, yeah man, these dudes were not playing man o,
my goodness, my goodness. And oh I thought this was
(01:17:58):
funny because you know, I obviously Stephen A. Smith, who's
on there with Monica McNutt on first take, goes into
how this is Trump getting revenge and you just had
to see. I saw this live and was just like,
this nigga is the dumbest nigga in the world.
Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
You know what world did I live in?
Speaker 7 (01:18:23):
How many times, for one incident after another have I
said Trump is coming? He's coming. I'm gonna say it
on national television again. Bad Bunny is performing at the
Super Bowl and all of a sudden, you hear in
Ice is gonna be there looking to engage in mass deportations,
(01:18:47):
disrupting things. Big night for the NBA when Beyonna put
on a show that has now been smeared because we're
talking about this story. Okay, Remember Trump has a long,
long hist to reconnected to the world of sports because
he had those casinos. Where do you think folks will coming?
Speaker 4 (01:19:04):
Half the time.
Speaker 7 (01:19:05):
I'm not talking about individuals, I'm talking about the culture.
When people want to go to a casino, when people
want to gamble, when people want to party, or whatever
the case may be.
Speaker 4 (01:19:14):
This was his kind of connection to that.
Speaker 7 (01:19:17):
Why am I glad you're here, Monica, because don't be
surprised that the WNBA is next on his list. Because
when you've got all of these protests that have been
going out there and people that have been protesting against
him and what have you, This man is coming.
Speaker 4 (01:19:33):
He's coming.
Speaker 7 (01:19:35):
And I've been saying it for a long time, and
to me, this is the latest nugget of evidence that
we're talking about right here. That's not to question the
legitimacy of the case.
Speaker 4 (01:19:44):
We don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:19:45):
We're all sitting up here with saying that we don't know.
But anybody that has been around him, anybody that has
talked to him, anybody that has seen his reactions from
the sports leagues and the positions that people have take,
they are not surprised at what's going on today. I'm
watching a press conference with the director.
Speaker 4 (01:20:06):
Of the FBI. God tell me when we've seen that.
Speaker 7 (01:20:10):
We've seen people, we've seen accusations before, We've seen athletes
get in trouble with the law before. You don't see
the director of the FBI having a press conference. It's
not coincidental, it's not an accident. It's a statement they
already expressed why.
Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
I think they were there to take the credit for
the work, not because they started this and brought it
to fruition. I truly think they just jumped into the
last second to get Can.
Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
I tell you something else? I don't know what the
fuck that any other FBI person looks like because they don't.
Never they were like, I did my job. There's sen
a spokesperson out or or somebody else like there. They're like, bitch,
I need to do my job, Like.
Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
I mean, cash Hotel comes out and does these things
as a stand queen.
Speaker 1 (01:20:54):
Yes, that's why we see his face.
Speaker 4 (01:20:55):
Yeah, And it's a warning that Moore is coming. And
that's what they're saying.
Speaker 7 (01:21:00):
And everybody, I'm just telling you, it's it's it's it's
as serious as it gets. This ain't the platform for
me to get into it the way I'm going to
get into it. But I've been saying he's coming, He's coming,
and and and.
Speaker 1 (01:21:17):
I guess the thing. I have many questions, okay, and
what does that mean? And what are these leagues supposed
to do? We're supposed to being afraid of the goddamn
president of the fucking country.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
I mean yes, But also that that is interesting that
that's where you went, because Monica went there too.
Speaker 7 (01:21:32):
In his eyes, folks try to throw them in jail.
In his eyes, he's innocent. They try to put me
behind balls. I'm getting everybody, he's not playing And so
this in a lot of people's eyes. Talk to people
in the NBA, talk to people in the NFL, talk
to people in the world of sports. They think this
is like the tip of the iceberg. These are the
kind of words that are coming out of people's mouths.
(01:21:54):
It's not a surprise. It's very disheartening, it's very concerning.
We don't know where this is going to go, but
this is just the tip of the iceberg. Everybody's been
to brace themselves because and.
Speaker 4 (01:22:06):
Then he told her Monica that the WNBA got to
watch out, and she just was like, what do you mean, yes, great, yep, yeah, yeah,
what what do you mean?
Speaker 2 (01:22:17):
And also, you know, he was like, I'm not saying
the league is wrong or that the lady's are wrong,
blah blah blah, but what are you saying?
Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
Then, like like, like, please explain yourself, and like that's
the part with him, He just be saying shit. And
also it's just one of those things to where you're like,
if the FBI investigate this, what the fuck the president
has to do with this? Like, these are individuals that
broke the law and they're doing their jobs. The president
has nothing to do with this thing whatsoever. And it's
(01:22:45):
also one of those things where basically you're saying Trump
is is threatening and to an extent, you're saying it's okay. Well, bitch,
you cover these sports. What do you do in these
sports around.
Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
You're saying, he's saying it's okay. What makes you say
he said it was okay?
Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
Because maybe it's just the way he framing or he
phrases like he's coming for you. You better be afraid. Okay?
Why should I be the one afraid? Like as a league,
like like he's gonna penalize us, And you're basically saying,
be on the look, he's gonna penalize us. But then
you're not explaining, You're not giving me any explanations. So
I'm like, okay, you're not giving me the explanations. You're
not explaining the what do you expect these leagues to do?
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
Just shut down and fold and let him just just
run over us and make us lose money and all
these other shits, And with a bitch, you cover these sports,
what do you do when these sports are no longer
around for you to cover?
Speaker 4 (01:23:32):
Yeah? I don't.
Speaker 6 (01:23:33):
You can't explain what Stephen they saying because what he's
saying is stupid, right, So.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
I was gonna say it's more stupid than it is.
I think you're giving him more credit than what he said.
Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
I don't even think he said all.
Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
That, Okay, I think he's I think he just is
very good at making shit about himself and blowing shit up.
What he really wanted to say is I've been talking
to people around leagues that are scared. What he really
wanted to do is imply that Trump is out for
some vengeance, and he's the Trump whisperer. He knows more
about Trump and how he operates. And I was right
(01:24:06):
about everything the whole time. And when I warned people
about how to talk and how to act and stuff,
it's because I'm actually trying to protect them from Trump,
because you know.
Speaker 4 (01:24:17):
People that are out apology.
Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
I don't mean it, but.
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
Yes, needed help, Yes, But I think I watched his
live and Monica McNutt did a great job of keeping
her job because she said a couple of things. He
asked her something and she flipped it back on him, like,
I guess I'm just trying to wrap my head around it.
Speaker 4 (01:24:38):
What do you want people to do?
Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:24:42):
And then he basically was like, I'm not saying people
need to do anything other than just prepare for the
fact that y'all might be on her his radar. And
he talked about the w NBA as an outspoken women's
league that is, you know, very political and stuff, and
like he might target y'all. I think it's I think
is another point to be made. I don't think he
(01:25:03):
is targeting WNBA. Can we just say I don't think
he cares. I don't think he was targeting the NBA.
I just think Steven A knows how to spend a
story into sumthing solationous that will make you sit up
and be like, ooh, it's good TV. I don't think
there's any he's I talk to people around the league
who I don't Maybe they don't know what the fuck
they talking about.
Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
I don't. Trump does not talk about the NBA. I
was like the NFL because.
Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
It's the biggest sport in the world, NFL, And even
with the NFL, he can't do shit, like unless y'all
do something, unless the NFL has a gambling FBI investigation,
is Asia Wilson somewhere playing poker and Robin didn't know
there's nothing to be done Like this is not the
same as him coming after James Komi.
Speaker 4 (01:25:48):
This is not the same as him coming after Jack Smith.
This is not political targeting. It's convenienced that they can
get some press. But that's it.
Speaker 6 (01:25:57):
Go ahead, justin unless step applying that the government is
now targeting these people and planting like they're basically convicting
them of things they didn't do. Unless he's implying that, right,
then what are you to be afraid of.
Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
I'm not you not breaking walls.
Speaker 2 (01:26:16):
Now, he did get cash Retail's attention. He got cash
Retail's attention.
Speaker 4 (01:26:21):
Who said this down the street?
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
By the way, this was so wild.
Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
Stephen A.
Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Smith, a sports commentator, suggested that this was revenge from
the president for all the kind of left wing activism
of the NBA.
Speaker 3 (01:26:34):
Your response to that fifteen seconds.
Speaker 8 (01:26:36):
I'm the FBI director. I decide which arrested conducting which
not to conduct. That may be the single dumbest thing
I've ever heard out of anyone in modern history. And
I live most of my time in Washington, d C.
It's right up there with Adam Shift. We arrest people
for crimes.
Speaker 3 (01:26:52):
Hey, down the street.
Speaker 4 (01:26:53):
So there you go. I mean, and.
Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
All I'm saying is this, Steven, you better talk to
him nice, the way you told Jasmine to talk nice.
Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:27:07):
You better not clamp back. You better not get you
better not get ghetto. You better not put on an act.
You better talk smart. You better be the muir the
way you want Jasmine to be. I better not hear
you raising your voice and yelling and shit the way
that you don't, the way you say Jasmine can't communicate.
You need to cooperate with this man so you can
(01:27:27):
get something.
Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
Out of him. Remember Remember what you just said, you motherfucker.
Remember that. Keep that information. Keep that your bitch.
Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
Learn from him. He could teach you something if you're
open to hearing it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
Right. They didn't sing you up there for that at ESPN.
I actually did not, So yeah, I think that's Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:27:51):
He took it to a place and nobody asks for
It's like, okay, now you're turning this into something that
it was never meant to be about.
Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
Right, did you tell bit?
Speaker 9 (01:28:03):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
Let's see is that? Was there anything else before I
move on?
Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
Uh? Okay, yeah, all right, let's go to the next one. Also,
I know people were making fun of that nothing Burger.
Jordan's first appearance was on NBC, but I found myself
happy to see Mike. He does seem to be in
bracing his elder statesman role, and I guess I just
missed him. Thanks for the show, especially the special Saturday edition. Yeah,
I had to tell you the same thing I told
that person on my Instagram.
Speaker 4 (01:28:27):
Get off my dick.
Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Okay, Michael Jordan's let's just get off his dick. It
wasn't nothing good about that interview. It's just how much
we be on his and it was lying through his teeth.
He cares about that kid.
Speaker 4 (01:28:47):
I shot.
Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
I shot that free throw for that I haven't touched
the ball in five years. I shot that free throw
for that kid, and of course I made it. I'm like,
first of all, you want to believe you care about kids.
Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
Come on, Mike, and the one story he tells, it's
the one story. We happen to have video, right, that
one story, and you know that.
Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
And you know they edited the video to take out
the part where he bet the kid is lunch money.
Speaker 1 (01:29:12):
You know they took that part out. The kid.
Speaker 4 (01:29:14):
He was like, you want to put you want to
put five g's on it. I don't have five g's,
mister Jordan. Well what do you have? I have this
lunch that we're about to eat.
Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
Okay, I'll play for your lunch. If I hit this
free throw, I eat your lunch. Him to shoot it, right,
where's that at? Well, I'm not no, no, no, I'm
not saying that to pay him to shoot it. I'm
saying he gonna bet you some because he don't at
this point, he not. He never been about the money.
(01:29:44):
He want to know what's valuable to you. You be like, oh,
I just got my new car.
Speaker 4 (01:29:49):
Shot a free throw for it? What free throw shooting? Nah?
I just wanted to tell you I like my car.
Well now it's my car. If I hit this free throw.
Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
And this this was triggered it. I bet you ain't
seen my new yet.
Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
Yeah, yes, yes, I think when you be talking to him,
you were trying to relate to him as a person,
and you be like, yeah, man, you know I saved
up all my college years. You know what I'm saying.
I worked this job, man, I making his mean now
finally got enough to give me a new Toyota PRIs man.
(01:30:24):
You know, so I've been riding the work lately. You
know I used to take the bus. Hit this free throw,
you give it that price. If not, I buy you
a I buy you a Porsche. I don't know, Mike.
I can't do that, man, I don't really need that car.
I buy you a Porsche in the house.
Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
Can't afford the gas to the porch.
Speaker 1 (01:30:46):
I can't afford the insurance.
Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
Not in front of my kid, Mike, come on, don't
do this, please, all right, the Fireworks says. And I'm joking,
of course, but I know Mary can take to get
off the dick joke, unlike that person on my fucking
Instagram page, how vulgar like? Come on, man, it's a Joe,
you know Earls Now, damn nigga can't do nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:31:10):
Fireworks says.
Speaker 2 (01:31:11):
Every week some bush I predicted that it was gonna
be some bullshit with like one one interview chopped up
in the bunch, everybody's like, oh, they're gonna get Mike
to dude. They comments on every game, Michael Jordan, you
think they gonna get sat.
Speaker 1 (01:31:27):
Down with here for a few hours. They're gonna chop
that ship the entire season, the.
Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
Way y'all be on his dick, bro, they really had.
Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
They the only reason they're disappointed, and I'm not, but
the only reason they're disappointed is because in their minds
they thought this nigga was finna be like Reggie Miller
on the broadcast given play by playing Ship. I was like,
they're gonna talk to this man for one hour, pay
him a billion dollars, and they gonna chop that ship
up and sell it to us like step down Crack
(01:31:54):
two minutes every week and like, Mike, what By the end,
it's just gonna be like Mike, what do you think
about video games? Like they're gonna run out of shit
to talk to him about.
Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
He's like, hey, man, hour was up.
Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
Well, we gotta end this anyway, Love Mike, and shout
out to NBC and Amazon. They actually are doing something
that I've been begging the broadcasting to do. They're treating
the league like it's the NFL. Yes, the broadcast coverage
has been so much better already, and it just started.
(01:32:26):
You Donna's has them sounded like a different fucking person.
I've seen him on first take with Steven A and
it was the most lowest information, dumb ass shit I've
ever seen. Like it took a point where I was like,
is ya, Donna's not good at TV? Maybe that's the problem.
I was like, it's crazy cause he's a twenty year vet.
(01:32:48):
But the only thing they cared about was him being
the o G. It was like, you know, back in
your day, they would have been fighting right, like they
were setting them up like that. And to see him
break down plays and defensive coverages and Ship asked him.
Speaker 4 (01:33:02):
I was like, oh, he can do that, Well, why
the fuck was he not doing that? That's way more interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
Mina cons is so good at TV because she can
do that. Yes, and yet you get on first take
they want.
Speaker 4 (01:33:15):
To know, like, so who you think wants revenge? Aaron
Rodgers or the Jets? Like that's not really football at
that point, it's narratives.
Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
But uh, yes, So I've been enjoying that coverage, all right, Fireworks,
Greeting's ride killer Ka and Jamie Jones. Hey, Rod, I
know you're gonna break this Hall scandal down, but for
old time's sake, give me that ray Lewis one time?
Speaker 4 (01:33:35):
All right? Well, he's right, I should have been playing
it right evil which we call it crime watch how
much crime picks up if you take away our game?
Why do you think that would happen?
Speaker 3 (01:33:52):
There's nothing else to do?
Speaker 2 (01:33:54):
Sound he says, I do have a few questions, though,
what do you think of the timing of this coming out?
Right the season started and we get some really good games,
this scandal really comes and overshadows open the week in
NBA so far, the okay see Indye rematch has been
the best game so far to double overtime without Tyrese
Halliburton and without the white Boy too. Fuck is that
(01:34:17):
guy's name McConnell. Without McConnell too, that was that game
was crazy And I do have NBA.
Speaker 3 (01:34:25):
Thoughts for a few minutes of it.
Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
No, he was out the whole game. He didn't even
suit up. They did that ship without TJ. McConnell and
without Halliburton. Hey, but look, I did want to run
to some quick NBA thoughts, real quick, so far overaction theater,
you know, of course, I love the Hornets beating the
ship out of the nets, and everybody's like they the nets.
Speaker 4 (01:34:47):
I'm okay with that. I just want you all to
know this, they beat the ship out of them.
Speaker 1 (01:34:50):
Ain't that the truth? With Yeah, Like, it wasn't no
close game.
Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
Nobody ever talks about that part of it. They always
just be like, look who you beat? It's not just
who you beat us, how you beat them. I'm not
optimistic because they beat the nets. That's I mean, that's
last year, you know, like, oh man, at least we
gotta win. It was the fact that it was like,
oh my god, they're up thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:35:12):
What is happening. They did the same thing the Memphis
and preseason it was they was up like forty. I
was like, god, damn. I didn't know it.
Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
Could be like this me either. I was like, I
was doing that Meek Mill. I used to pray for
times like this. Yeah, I'm like our boy me and
Roger was joking.
Speaker 1 (01:35:27):
We watched this YouTube channel where the dude like recaps
like the basketball dunks and highlights.
Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
Oh yeah, the NBA top plays of the week.
Speaker 1 (01:35:38):
Yes, and it feels so good to be on the
non receiving end like we did.
Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Actually the people act actually on the highlight reel, not
people getting dunked on.
Speaker 1 (01:35:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
Karen was like, we we ain't a lot of these highlights.
I was like, yeah, we scoring right, Like, oh man,
oh man, look at that hornets dreams are going down
looking Yes, yeah, I like Canipple and that dude number
(01:36:09):
eight we got from Utah.
Speaker 4 (01:36:10):
I like that boy too, Sexton.
Speaker 2 (01:36:12):
Yes, hey man, I told y'all Con was was one
of the ones Dog and I and look I did.
Speaker 4 (01:36:19):
I was I racist about it? Yes, I'll admit that
I was openly racist to y'all. I'll let y'all know
I was being racist, but I was right, Like, you
can't knock that. I was right.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
They needed the whiteness. They needed some whiteness. It's not
just kN it's Khan mcneelie and Cork Brenner.
Speaker 4 (01:36:39):
They needed them white boys. Man Like it was getting
a little too a little too dark.
Speaker 2 (01:36:45):
It was a little too and one mixtape okay, And
if I'm be and if I could toot my own
horn some more.
Speaker 4 (01:36:57):
Because you know, I love to.
Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
I think I was right about Ace Bailey too, though.
Remember how I was like everything he doing, everything he
doing to get away from this team, make me think
he gonna be one of them ones. Because I was like, yeah,
it's he's acted like this, the kind of story you
have later on in life and then you look back
and be like, we should have known he was great.
(01:37:21):
Why didn't SO and so draft him? Why didn't Blank
draft him? Because when they was like Kobe wouldn't work
out for the Hornet, so they traded him.
Speaker 4 (01:37:28):
And I was like, that's why you.
Speaker 1 (01:37:29):
Keep on, That's why put like this. When that man
from LA call you, you hang the phone up, don't
talk to him.
Speaker 4 (01:37:35):
Jerry West, I don't think it was Jail West at
the time.
Speaker 1 (01:37:38):
Yes, you hang that bitch up.
Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
Whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (01:37:40):
So we got a diamond.
Speaker 2 (01:37:41):
So A's Bailey was making them kind of moves that
felt to me like, hey, if he's a star ten
twenty years from now, we look back and be like
everyone passed.
Speaker 4 (01:37:51):
On this guy.
Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
Why he was He was clearly the best player in
the offense that anyway, he looks great and already as
a rookie. Now that team is the Jazz, So I
don't I don't know what's going Like I like, they
seem like they want a tank every year, and I
don't understand either. I truly don't understand how it's gonna
(01:38:16):
work because you're getting good picks and you're just gonna
keep running them over and over and and like the
team doesn't have to tank, meaning Marketing is a good player.
So are y'all gonna kneecap the team? Halfway through the
season and trade that nigga instead of letting the Ace
build a rapport with him, and three four years from now,
we're looking up like Yo Jazz.
Speaker 4 (01:38:36):
Built him something. Anyway. Uh that's but that wasn't one
of my thoughts.
Speaker 2 (01:38:41):
Okay, see, okay, see he's gonna get everyone's best shot
this year. I don't think they did that like I
think last year before the championship, people were competitive with them,
but they weren't looking at them like they are a
championship team and when they come to our town, we're
not gonna just lay down for these niggas.
Speaker 4 (01:39:00):
We're gonna give them our best ship.
Speaker 1 (01:39:01):
First two games, double over, double over time on both
of them benches.
Speaker 2 (01:39:04):
Houston played like they had something to prove against them,
and the Pacers did too, And both of those teams
really are teams that if on paper, I would have
been like, yeah, they not even gonna really be in
these games. Houston don't have a point guard, and that
whole give give Kevin Degall and move out the way.
Shit feels like it would have been the business three
(01:39:25):
years ago, But at thirty seven, y'all need to point guard.
Speaker 3 (01:39:29):
I don't know fam they giving him the ball. They
also not giving him the ball. They also like, last
year we won by whoever wanted to take it. We're
gonna stick with that. That's what we're doing this year too.
Speaker 4 (01:39:41):
Well.
Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
I so it's only we overreacting, of course to one game.
But I gotta say that's not how I read it.
I saw they did do that. The first couple of
the first end the regulation and first overtime. They was like,
give Kevin the ball.
Speaker 4 (01:40:00):
It's a close game. He gonna do something.
Speaker 2 (01:40:03):
And somewhere in the middle of that second when I
was like this, nigga ain't doing ship, Like hey.
Speaker 4 (01:40:08):
I could do that.
Speaker 6 (01:40:11):
I only saw him do that like once or twice
at like the last five minutes of that game. It
was closest normally like get out the way, get Kevin
the ball, like you said.
Speaker 4 (01:40:20):
But that's what I'm saying, right right, I'm seeing him
like we got it. I'm saying though.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
They was like justin, justin, I'm saying, before you got
because it was a close game the whole fourth, right,
I'm saying, there was so many plays with opportunities where
they gave him the ball and they did not get buckets.
Speaker 4 (01:40:41):
And I think they just turn over.
Speaker 2 (01:40:43):
I think at some point them boys is like, hey man,
fuck all that. You know what I'm saying, because it
wasn't working, like so like.
Speaker 4 (01:40:52):
You that you don't have Yeah, that was crazy that.
Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
I can't believe that shit slides.
Speaker 2 (01:41:01):
So yeah, anyway, I say all that to say, like,
I think the Houston thing is gonna be a bit
of a struggle because I actually think not having a
point guard is a much bigger deal than a lot
of people in the NBA want to say.
Speaker 4 (01:41:13):
And and that like thumbs up ship.
Speaker 2 (01:41:15):
That they trying to do for Reid Shepherd with the
whole like, hey man, he's not playing bad for a guy,
it's not really a point guard.
Speaker 4 (01:41:21):
Yeah that's cute. Let's see what y'all think about that.
Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
In may Ah and that dude, that's that white boy,
he's so slow coming up the court. He got stolen
so many times, like.
Speaker 4 (01:41:29):
Because you see, not a point guard.
Speaker 2 (01:41:31):
No, they got him playing out of position because that
point guard is out for the season because he towards Achilles.
So they don't have a choice and they don't have money,
so they can't they couldn't afford to get a point guard,
and they really can't trade. I think the way that
Sally cap is they like can't trade and bring in
more money than they put out or something. I can't
I can't remember how their shit is. I think they're
(01:41:53):
gonna have to make a trade. Actually, I am a
little nervous because I and I hope it don't happen,
but I think, uh, Colin Sexton is gonna be on
a lot of people's trade target list this year.
Speaker 3 (01:42:05):
Like, if you're Houston guard the Hornets.
Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
Right, and if you're Houston and the Hornet, I mean,
hopefully the Hornets are doing great all season, and they
just are, and it's just real difficult for them to
even consider partnering with him. But if you're Houston, you're
not looking around at Colin Sextons, who's on the expiring contract,
and being like, what do we gotta do to get
this guy on our roster. He doesn't cost that much
(01:42:31):
and we just send them something and we get him,
and now we got a point guard and we can
take Kevin Durant and these guys and try to make
a run to the playoffs. I'm worried about that because
I think Colin lost.
Speaker 4 (01:42:43):
I love that dude.
Speaker 2 (01:42:44):
I don't want to give him up, and I hope
we're doing good enough in January that we're like, man,
fuck that, we we want them.
Speaker 4 (01:42:50):
We want to run and make it to the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (01:42:52):
I hope run the smallest people out there. He'd be
taking the foules, he be going to the paint. They
be beating his ass. He shake that shit off up,
like let's go.
Speaker 6 (01:43:00):
Yeah, Well, I think you got to keep them anyway,
because we stay getting injured, and so by keeping them,
you you hopefully don't lose much when.
Speaker 4 (01:43:10):
Someone's right, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:43:12):
When we had Kimball, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:43:15):
That's what I'm saying. But uh, I think you also
got trade man now.
Speaker 2 (01:43:22):
Like it's just they got kJ Simpson still, Like, I'm
not saying I would want it to have. I'm saying
this is the kind of thing that if you're in
January and you have only won let's say twelve games,
do you look at your roster and be like, hey, man,
everybody for sale. Best big come through and people like
(01:43:42):
Houston are like, hey, we'll give up something like give
us one of them guards.
Speaker 4 (01:43:46):
You know, I'm hoping anyway, knock on wood.
Speaker 6 (01:43:49):
To answer Jackie's question, maybe Michael Jordan would have when
he was the owner who knows.
Speaker 3 (01:43:58):
Traded traded calling away.
Speaker 2 (01:44:00):
Oh no, actually actually justin the new ownership is much
more likely to do that than Jordan would. They way
way more savvy than him. Yeah, no, I'm telling you,
I'm telling you. They are way more savvy. Like they
the type to be like, let's reach out to Houston,
Like that's how they be on some next level shit,
they be.
Speaker 4 (01:44:19):
Looking at other this then I love it here cause
like Jordan was opposite.
Speaker 2 (01:44:24):
It was like, how can I pay my people as
little as possible so I can make a profit from
this business every year? Which is not what basketball team
is supposed to do. He's supposed to lose money and
then sell the team for a profit. That ain't He
was like, I want to make money every year even
when we fucking are playing the season. And so he
wasn't bringing in a lot of big money names and
contracts except for Gordon Hayward.
Speaker 4 (01:44:48):
And I think he did that because Gordon hay was white.
Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
But in this case, I think, if things are going bad,
and I'm hoping they won't be, but I'm thinking obviously,
like just to consider this point for Houston, I'm thinking
from their perspective and things are going bad, I think
we're definitely on a lot of people's list of like, hey,
let's get some of the people.
Speaker 4 (01:45:11):
You know what I'm saying. Phoenix did this last year.
Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
They ended up with both our senters, like and our
team is the type of like these new owners didn't
draft these niggas. They're like, hey, all right, the peace.
You know, Hey it's been a real player. Hey, good
luck out there. You know, it's a business, you know.
So anyway, all that to say, Houston needs a point guard.
If if I'm Houston, I'm keeping an eye out on
(01:45:35):
the whole market every team that got an extra guy, like,
because I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:45:39):
Think this team is gonna win this way and read Shepherd,
I don't think he'll be ready by.
Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
Dallas will have Kyrie returning at some point so they
can hold out if they if they can tread water,
they'll try to tread water. But yeah, they definitely need one.
D'Angelo Russell is not a point guard.
Speaker 6 (01:46:00):
He is not.
Speaker 2 (01:46:01):
And that ship they doing with Cooper Flag is giving
me the same it I had about Devin Booker playing point.
Speaker 4 (01:46:06):
I don't like that shit, you know, point guard respect
point guards. Man, it's a real position for a reason.
They could have used Chris Paul if we're being honest. Okay,
so who would I do?
Speaker 2 (01:46:18):
Okay Houston, Okay, see it's getting everybody's best shot, but
still the best team.
Speaker 6 (01:46:25):
La.
Speaker 4 (01:46:26):
I can't to be determined.
Speaker 2 (01:46:28):
Lebron need to come back before we can even be
before we can discuss anything.
Speaker 4 (01:46:32):
Lebron need to come back.
Speaker 2 (01:46:33):
Luca, of course is gonna like MVP level season, probably
revenge season. But if we're talking about championships, I just
need to see what he looked like with Lebron.
Speaker 4 (01:46:44):
And I don't think it's like people keep bringing up.
Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
Lebron being old in his defense, I think all that shit, Okay,
we'll see, Like I don't. We don't say that about
any of these other old niggas. I don't know why
we Because he used to be an elite defender, we
make it seem like he that's a problem that he's
not anymore. But I'm like, are we saying that about
Steph Curry's not even on the fucking court when it's
defensive possessions at the.
Speaker 4 (01:47:08):
End of games?
Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
Are we saying that about kd old Ass? Are we
saying that about any of the Clippers, Like, I just
think that's kind of an overstated thing. What we really
need to see is can that team play well together,
which I think they can because they were doing it
last year. Because what we saw last year was I
think a Luca that was a bit disheveled. Yes, and
(01:47:30):
Lebron come together and win a bunch of games after
the trade and then injuries took him down. If they
can stay healthy and play like that, I think they
have as much a shot against any of.
Speaker 4 (01:47:40):
These other motherfuckers as the other teams.
Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
The thing everybody has to realize, especially in the West,
you're all just playing to get lucky. You have to
have as much luck as possible because if we just
go to paper, okay, see got everybody, So you just
need to keep playing. Hope that like shape twisted ankle.
Hope that you know, uh, somebody gets ht. Hope that
(01:48:07):
you know, uh, someone goes through.
Speaker 3 (01:48:09):
A coach start giving him calls.
Speaker 2 (01:48:12):
Yeah that that's not gonna happen, but yeah, you gotta,
but you gotta hope, you gotta. Everyone's playing for second
in my opinion, Yes, okay, so that's the Lakers.
Speaker 6 (01:48:21):
We did talk about Dallas briefly. Briefly, can we also
talk about Anthony Davis and the fact that it's supposed
to be his time to be like this my team,
I can carry a team, and Lebron was the one
holding me back. And it's showing, like is why Lebron
could never just fully give you the keys to the
kingdom because.
Speaker 4 (01:48:40):
No, no, we can't. Oh no, we can't talk about that.
Speaker 2 (01:48:43):
That's a Lakers take that you're bringing over from some
Lakers bitterness.
Speaker 4 (01:48:47):
That's not real. Nobody else is talking about that. You
make that up. That's not a talking point for anyone else.
Nobody has said this is the year for ad to
shrew that Lebron held him back.
Speaker 3 (01:49:00):
We see it, I see it.
Speaker 4 (01:49:02):
He who said it? Who said it? Justin Marry the
only one listening.
Speaker 2 (01:49:07):
Friends, Get that propaganda out of here, man, Get that
propaganda out of here.
Speaker 4 (01:49:15):
Man. Stop stopping with the stop with the propaganda.
Speaker 3 (01:49:21):
Saying this was just time to be that guy. Everybody
kept saying.
Speaker 4 (01:49:27):
Lebron, nobody nobody said that.
Speaker 3 (01:49:29):
Nobody said and then Lebron traded him.
Speaker 2 (01:49:33):
Start with the lies. Man, nobody's talking like that. But
you bring up another interesting point that a team.
Speaker 4 (01:49:41):
I do want to talk about. Hey man, this nigga Wimby.
Speaker 3 (01:49:45):
Bro Oh what game?
Speaker 1 (01:49:52):
He was a highlight? Real, wouldn't it?
Speaker 4 (01:49:55):
I told me and me and on game Theory. It
was fun.
Speaker 2 (01:49:59):
It was a in joke, Me and Bomoni and a
lot of people. We was all in on Wimby right away,
Like as soon as we first heard of him. It's
seen a couple of highlights. Its like, oh God, this.
Speaker 4 (01:50:10):
Guy's coming to the NBA. Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (01:50:12):
Like the like we kept showing the highlight where he
like shot at three but then got his own put
back inducted from the free.
Speaker 4 (01:50:18):
Throw line, Like he's so quick to be so tall.
I was like, what is anyone supposed to do about that?
Speaker 2 (01:50:23):
Right? Like, there's not a there's no defense in the
world that can stop way he just did right And
uh said, who's a Dallas Mavericks fan was like, man,
he ain't even gonna be good.
Speaker 4 (01:50:35):
We've seen this before. He just gonna be Alexis Ajinka.
He gonna be Bowl Bowl.
Speaker 2 (01:50:42):
And we was like, nigga, you can't see the difference
between that and Bowl Bow. I'm like, look at how
he put the ball on the ground.
Speaker 4 (01:50:49):
Look at him.
Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
Look at how he blocked shots, and he like the
coordination not just tall, right, Yeah, you could just tell
certain people you're like, yeah, he looked like he'd been
playing fucking shooting guardist life and then got a two
foot gross spurt. They kept and somehow kept his coordination,
which is two things that never happened to people. Right,
So he was shipping on the right, and so me
(01:51:12):
and Bomani was like, everybody need to get.
Speaker 4 (01:51:16):
Their ship before he come.
Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
But like, just get whatever you could get, get your ring,
get your MVP, because when he figures it out, I'm
for the foreseeable future, the numbers are just gonna be
so crazy that it's not You're not gonna be able
to just give MVP to other people anymore because people
gonna it's gonna be too blatant.
Speaker 4 (01:51:38):
Where people are like, so you're.
Speaker 2 (01:51:39):
Telling me he averaging thirty twelve and eight blocks and
he not the MVP.
Speaker 4 (01:51:46):
It wouldn't even matter what the fucking record of the
team is. At that point. People are like, that's the MV.
That's just an MVP, and we just there's nothing to discuss.
Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
You're watching the game right outside of my.
Speaker 2 (01:51:57):
Eyes, right, But also but but, but for the record,
also the numbers, like like in addition to not even
just outside the numbers, in addition to the numbers, because
being that tall and that mobile, the numbers.
Speaker 4 (01:52:14):
Are gonna pile up just just because you're out there.
Right then you go to what you just said, the
ode test and Nigga a seven footer who learned recently
to dunk hard, which was to me my only problem
with him, my only problem with him the first two years.
Speaker 2 (01:52:32):
And I wasn't blaming him, like I was just like, oh,
he's not ready yet because he's shooting a lot of
threes and maybe I'm just a black American.
Speaker 4 (01:52:42):
His dunks were swaggerless, and I don't do that. I don't.
I don't. I'm not down with that. Like when you're
that tall, I need you to be dunking. Yeah, like
you said, the highlights, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:53:00):
What used to be on us? You know now you're
looking at the hotlights.
Speaker 2 (01:53:04):
Like, yeah, he's last couple of years, last couple of years,
he was doing a lot of business casual dunks.
Speaker 4 (01:53:15):
What you're saying, And I like, I like, I'm not
going up for you.
Speaker 2 (01:53:19):
If you business casual dunking, bro, I'm sorry, but that's
not That's not how I'm built.
Speaker 4 (01:53:24):
I would be lying. I would be lying if I like, I.
Speaker 2 (01:53:26):
Can give you credit for having like a good game,
but I can't be calling you my favorite. And Ship
this year he was out there slamming on people.
Speaker 1 (01:53:37):
Reverse versus nasty.
Speaker 2 (01:53:39):
Even that first dunky got there was like a kind
of a women. It was the way he dunked it
hard for.
Speaker 4 (01:53:45):
Me, like he was like.
Speaker 1 (01:53:46):
I was like, oh you met that baby.
Speaker 3 (01:53:51):
That's the difference between the weight room with and.
Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
I would work out, but Jack Justine beyond beyond weight room, right,
but beyond weight room. Nigga went to see them shouting monks.
He did, he went to see the monks. But I
remember seeing that picture of him with the ball head
this summer.
Speaker 1 (01:54:13):
That that Nigga got zen.
Speaker 4 (01:54:14):
He had the ball head and he looked like he
was up there with Doctor Strange doing them circles.
Speaker 1 (01:54:20):
Come on through with the universe.
Speaker 4 (01:54:24):
I said, oh, Ship, he might be one of them
different guys like this.
Speaker 2 (01:54:28):
We haven't had an eccentric guy like this in a minute,
Like we've had cool guys like Anthony Edwards, but like
he's given me that like eccentric thing. And he said
he went up there to learn kung fu, how to
use his body to like get through pain and punishment
and physicality.
Speaker 4 (01:54:45):
And the first dunky got oh you think of Kareem kare.
Speaker 2 (01:54:53):
Yes since the Game of Death and so hey, look, hey, bro,
the first dunk he got, I said, oh, he been
up there with the goddamn monks because.
Speaker 4 (01:55:05):
It was physical. It wasn't like they just let him dunk.
They tried to bang him. And he was like, get
the fuck oh. I was like ooh ooh, because because
that's the other thing.
Speaker 2 (01:55:14):
When you dunk with swag, it's a warning to everybody,
like hey, I will put you on a fucking poster.
And he blocking like crazy too, right, he was already
doing that. He was gonna be defensive player of the
Year if he didn't get hurt last year with that
blood clot.
Speaker 4 (01:55:28):
But I'm saying and.
Speaker 6 (01:55:31):
Doing it against somebody like a d who people would
say he's a good defender.
Speaker 4 (01:55:35):
You brought it to so you brought it to the
last point.
Speaker 2 (01:55:38):
And I heard Nick Wright make this point, and this
is why I said, going out for a D you
made me think of him. I would say a D
is the best defender in the league to stop Winby.
If we was all putting bets on who should who
you would let check him, who you think is shut
him down, who you think is slow him down? It's
a D right.
Speaker 6 (01:55:59):
Only because Joel will be an agenda. I was about
to say Al Horford. However, however, Joel has proved himself
to be not worthy adversary of Al.
Speaker 3 (01:56:15):
But I think get your old ass retirement.
Speaker 4 (01:56:20):
Yeah no, I mean yeah, like that. That's hilarious as
a joke.
Speaker 2 (01:56:26):
But if we're being honest, if a D can't stop him,
Al can't do shit like it's over. It's fucking over, dude,
I like, because that's the other thing I would I
don't feel comfortable putting no other center on him. If
there is a good defensive center like Jared Allen, he
will take him outside, give him that work, put that
(01:56:47):
ball on.
Speaker 4 (01:56:47):
The ground and dunk on his ass. Right, So that's
a rap a D. We saw what he did to
a D forty five and fifteen, like it was nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:56:58):
You can't even put Kevin on them. You can't put yeah, well.
Speaker 4 (01:57:03):
Durant, oh, Durant, look no offense to Durant, But he
thirty seven. Yeah, he thirty seven. Even in his prime,
he couldn't have did hit, but thirty seven. It's a rap.
Speaker 2 (01:57:13):
Sengoon and Sabonis are not great defensive players, and they
definitely can't move outside like he can.
Speaker 4 (01:57:21):
Don't. Don't forget.
Speaker 2 (01:57:22):
Also they win and got coordinat and so they so
they don't even have to play when be at center.
Speaker 4 (01:57:27):
They can put him on your four.
Speaker 6 (01:57:29):
Bright and you can't put a Steven Adams who like, well,
we're just gonna muscle him around.
Speaker 3 (01:57:35):
We used to, No, that doesn't work no more.
Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
And they still got Dylan Harper, Harper and Stephan Castle
like so he just a part of the problems you
have to deal with.
Speaker 4 (01:57:48):
This is the year for me.
Speaker 6 (01:57:50):
Given him the ball too. They've given him the ball
too before. They used to look away before he would
pass it back and like no ball.
Speaker 4 (01:57:59):
Yeah, yeah, this is this is this is for this
is for me.
Speaker 2 (01:58:10):
Now now we do have to put some expectations, because
I think he's he's demanded those expectations. I think in
the last two years we kind of was like, oh,
it's a cute, cute little side story.
Speaker 3 (01:58:23):
This is fun here, this is fun. He get another
fun yer.
Speaker 4 (01:58:26):
This year, he can get here.
Speaker 3 (01:58:29):
Yes, yes, he can get to find you.
Speaker 2 (01:58:31):
This wait, hold on, hold on, hold on now, I
just want to So if they win nineteen games this
year like they did last year or whatever, you just
gonna be like, yeah, he's still one of the greatest players,
but they just because I don't I think. I think
you're talking like that. But I think by the end
of if we have a full year, I think all
of us are. We would be lying if we weren't, like,
(01:58:51):
this looks like a playoff team. If not a play
this is like a playing team at minimum, playoff team
at best.
Speaker 3 (01:58:59):
I disagree. Here's why though, too.
Speaker 6 (01:59:02):
Even in the beginning when he came, I was like,
he's gonna be great, but they're not gonna win because
of all the other factors around to it. And so
for me it's like he's improved his greatness. But even
if they don't win, I don't think it's because of him.
Speaker 4 (01:59:18):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
There's some teams and some things Sometimes it don't matter.
Speaker 6 (01:59:23):
How great you are. You're just not gonna carry your team.
But so far and whether he win or bunch go ahead, no.
Speaker 1 (01:59:31):
And that part I understand. But he's been he's at
he's at that that that that point where he's been
in the league long enough that now the people now
the expectation changes where they're gonna be like, we don't
give a fuck you the Star and you don't need
to drag these niggas to the playing They.
Speaker 2 (01:59:48):
Won thirty four games last year and they finished thirteenth
in the Western.
Speaker 1 (01:59:55):
Conference, and it might not even be his fault.
Speaker 3 (01:59:57):
But I.
Speaker 4 (01:59:59):
Like, honestly, I.
Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
Think if you are okay with that, again, you're kind
of saying you don't expect them to be great. And
I'm not saying this. I'm not talking about being fair.
I'm talking about just being honest, like, this is the
pressure of greatness. Lebron experienced this and he surpassed a
lot of people's expectations. We was like, oh, he's one
(02:00:23):
of them one we thought he was good. Uh, he's
already taking these bums to the playoffs. Good nigga, we
expect you're gonna be one of these goats. I think
three years into Wimby, if he's healthy.
Speaker 4 (02:00:39):
The whole year, obviously that's the biggest caveat.
Speaker 2 (02:00:42):
Because if he's not healthy, I'm not then this another
fun year that's fine, Yes, if he's healthy the whole year,
because they don't even that's the other thing. They don't
even have Darren Fox back yet. They've invested in this team.
If they're not a playoff team, I think you're gonna
see major changes.
Speaker 4 (02:01:03):
Like I'm talking coaches.
Speaker 3 (02:01:05):
You might see a new coach.
Speaker 2 (02:01:07):
I'm yeah, you gonna I'm talking coaches. I'm talking no,
I'm talking trades. I This shit is serious, bro, I
unless maybe you don't think he's as good as I
think he is.
Speaker 4 (02:01:18):
I'm saying this is this is.
Speaker 2 (02:01:21):
Some he skipped a pupple steps on y'all, niggas, and
y'all when y'all weren't looking like he's already ready and
we're sitting up here being like, yeah, well, you know,
on a different person trajectory of like year five, I'm like, yeah,
I think he's skipped past year five.
Speaker 4 (02:01:35):
He's like year six type niggas already and he's only
in year three. That's what I'm forty.
Speaker 2 (02:01:40):
Five fifteen and no turnovers. And to ad is like, so,
then what the rest of y'all nigga's gonna do? Cause
if that was the plan, Like.
Speaker 6 (02:01:52):
But it's also a flaw Dallas team, Like there's some
other things that's like, did that team look.
Speaker 2 (02:02:00):
Did that team, Let's be honest, did that team you
look at Kyrie irving away from beating them to you,
because they did not look like that.
Speaker 4 (02:02:06):
To me, they looked like they would beat them if
they played them eighty one times.
Speaker 2 (02:02:11):
The furs is gonna beat them eighty times, like like
maybe one of them times when we would sit out
because they already he was like, Oh, it's a back
to back as long as that dude's on the court.
Speaker 4 (02:02:22):
It just looked like it was hopeless to me.
Speaker 1 (02:02:26):
I hear you.
Speaker 3 (02:02:27):
I'm just saying, I'm the expectation of what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (02:02:33):
Maybe, yeah, top me down, top me down. Look, I
told you I'm overreacting.
Speaker 6 (02:02:38):
Yeah, if they don't do it, then I'm also like,
it's this man third year in the league, and while
he is an alien in Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:02:47):
I think I think I see what I think I
see what you're saying. I think I see where to
disconnect this.
Speaker 4 (02:02:52):
You think hold on, hold on.
Speaker 2 (02:02:53):
I think you think you think I'm saying I'm gonna
be hard on them. I'm saying, and the the media
is going to be hard on him.
Speaker 4 (02:03:04):
Now, this is not like before.
Speaker 1 (02:03:07):
He's too good.
Speaker 4 (02:03:08):
Like, yes, like I'm the biggest Lebron fan.
Speaker 1 (02:03:10):
You know, expectations are going to go high because of
the numbers that he's putting now.
Speaker 2 (02:03:14):
And you know, I've been like, yeah, the media was
not fair to Lebron coming up, but I was like,
that's what greatness is.
Speaker 4 (02:03:20):
Greatness looked like that.
Speaker 2 (02:03:22):
It looked like he's averaging the trouble double and y'all
still like, but he ain't get out the second round.
I'm like, but that's when that's when that's when you
know you're great, because because anybody else would have been like, wow,
that's amazing.
Speaker 4 (02:03:34):
He got this team to the playoffs and he was
on the three ers in the league.
Speaker 2 (02:03:38):
But when you great, they'd be like, that's it, And
I'm like, bro, without what i've seen from winby, y'all said,
oh no, we're not going to be able to handle
this with no reason and rational expectations.
Speaker 1 (02:03:50):
We are going to be The demands are going to
change for the for the populace and for the media.
Speaker 4 (02:03:54):
And the thing is, he's so good. I can't say
they're wrong in that.
Speaker 2 (02:04:00):
If if you told me they made the playoffs and
they were matched up against.
Speaker 4 (02:04:04):
Say Woody Gobert in the in the Wolves, I was like, they.
Speaker 1 (02:04:08):
Might beat them, Yes, was the bottom seed.
Speaker 4 (02:04:11):
I was like, they still might be.
Speaker 2 (02:04:13):
I don't have it in me to be like they
can't beat them, right, because what I've seen so far
without the Aaron Fox, by the way, has been like
I don't know who can beat them at all, Like
Oklahoma City Thunder, probably right, because I would say from
top to bottom, they but.
Speaker 3 (02:04:33):
Showing up for that game, like y'all, y'all, y'all disrespect me.
Speaker 4 (02:04:41):
And what I did. Hey man, hey, hey, I need
to see them games all four. I need them. I
need that Chat versus.
Speaker 2 (02:04:54):
Chat versus Winby because look, it's either it's either gonna
be wow Chat did better against women then we thought,
or it's gonna be Whenby put this nigga in a blender.
Both of those are just as entertaining me. Like because
women got put.
Speaker 3 (02:05:11):
For the SGAU, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (02:05:13):
Yeah, Like if you would have like, if you were
to tell me this, they can't beat the Thunder, I
think I Like, I'm not trying to be crazy. I
would totally be like Yeah, that's fair that Thunder should
definitely be favored in a seven game, right, But if
you just saying, like, uh, I'm supposed to pick any
of these other teams over the Spurs right now, I
(02:05:34):
don't see why I would do that.
Speaker 4 (02:05:36):
I really don't. I don't.
Speaker 2 (02:05:38):
I have not seen the Nigga elevate his play like
this in a minute. They barely beat the Pelicans. They
went the overtime winby had twenty nine eleven and nine blocks.
Speaker 4 (02:05:50):
He found out it overtime. He had nine blocks. Do
y'all hear me? This Nigga almost had a triple double
and one of the triple one of the doubles was
that's a rarity.
Speaker 3 (02:06:01):
I don't think they gave him credit for one of
his blocks too.
Speaker 6 (02:06:05):
Like it was towards the end of like the player
kind of flipped it up and and be he just
hit it out of bounds and it didn't really like
a shot him till.
Speaker 3 (02:06:13):
But he tried to just throw it up to the basket.
I don't think they gave him credit for that block.
Speaker 4 (02:06:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:06:19):
All I'm saying justin is uh, I'm so in on
this hype train that there's nothing you can tell me
he can't do except like I said, and I'm in
this early, so I can change my mind on this
except beat the thunder.
Speaker 4 (02:06:33):
But we might be a month away from me being like,
hell whoop, they ass too Like I like this boy
got me.
Speaker 2 (02:06:39):
He got me feeling away, like I'll be watching his highlights,
like that's not even basketball he playing. He like this
must have been the first time white people saw a
black person played basketball.
Speaker 4 (02:06:50):
And I was like, what is what is that? That's
not what we been doing.
Speaker 2 (02:06:54):
So he could just put the ball in the hoop
with two hands, like he's not gonna try to throw
it underhand? And oh, well, why is he shooting from
that far out? Don't you want to just get to
the close and throwt Oh he's not using the backboard?
Like That's how it feel to me watching this, dude.
I maybe I'm too hyped, but Spurs is crazy.
Speaker 3 (02:07:13):
It reminded me of all the times I played on
the eighth foot goal. Yes, and I was like, cant
go basket.
Speaker 2 (02:07:20):
But hey, but look justice, justice not just not just
an eight feet goal? Eight feet goal and you're thirty
two and the people playing against his twelve You know
what I'm saying like, it's not just an eight feet goal.
Speaker 1 (02:07:37):
That's not doing it.
Speaker 2 (02:07:38):
Everyone not on the eight feet goal. He on the
eighth feet goal, and they still trying to hit jumpers. Dog,
it's over.
Speaker 4 (02:07:46):
I'm so scared for the rest of these niggas, oh man, Like,
I'm so scared.
Speaker 3 (02:07:51):
Like you know, as a little can still hit the three, Yes.
Speaker 4 (02:07:55):
He can as a little bit.
Speaker 2 (02:07:57):
He could crush you over as a little fan, do
you understand? I when I saw winby'all was like, oh,
that's the future.
Speaker 4 (02:08:07):
Like like I don't want Lebron.
Speaker 2 (02:08:09):
I don't want Lebron to retire on some just like
he can't win a ring, he should retire. I think
if he wants to play the game, he should play
as long as he can. You saw how Michael Jordan
was looking like he was gonna cry in that interview
about how he can't play ball no more.
Speaker 4 (02:08:23):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (02:08:23):
So you play as long as you feel like playing,
and you know it's not a Let other people be
mad that you making fifty million dollars to play the
game at at thirty eight, thirty nine, forty years old,
Like that's their fault for being mad. Sorry, you're broke
that do that speech about them haters that you did at.
Speaker 4 (02:08:40):
One time in Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (02:08:41):
But that being said, when I saw wein, y'all, was like, oh, yeah,
that's a rap, Like like you just basically gotta hope
he get another blood clot because you're not beating him
with your team.
Speaker 6 (02:08:54):
And I know this is sports he talked, But there
was a sequence one time I watched him like try
to cross over, could get around the guy. He passed
it to the defender, I mean, to his teammate, but
clapped to say give it back so he could just
I just needed a reset, Yeah, and got it back
and reset and went right around him to the basket.
Speaker 3 (02:09:16):
And I was like, Yep, they wasn't doing this before
before that, ye all.
Speaker 2 (02:09:20):
I like, on, it's not me coming down on him
with expectations. Is me giving him respect? Like, oh, you
elevated your game to a point where we can't pretend
that you can't do this anymore.
Speaker 1 (02:09:35):
We can't pretend that a mediocre season is okay no more.
Speaker 2 (02:09:39):
Yeah, Like I'll take him being I'll take him being
in any of the top ten. I like, I'm not
gonna like I personally wouldn't. I mean, I wouldn't shoot
on him if it was still twelve thirteen. But personally,
I feel like if he gets anywhere in the top
ten seeds on the West, that's that's expectations, that's what
he should be. He like, he can no longer have
(02:10:01):
years where it's like, yeah, man, we just didn't make
the playoffs, gonna get a good draft pick like no
them days is.
Speaker 4 (02:10:07):
Over look around at your team. You see these people.
Speaker 2 (02:10:10):
These are the best niggas you ever gonna play with
for the rest of your life because y'all never having
a great draft pick again, Like this is it, Stefan Castle,
Dylan Harper. Don't trade none of them, like, keep them
from unless you could, unless you're gonna trade them to
get a better team from another the better player from
another team. You're not drafting a great player again. Y'all
will always be drafted outside the lotto.
Speaker 1 (02:10:32):
That's true outside.
Speaker 3 (02:10:34):
Greater San Antonio. But it can happen now. I can
see a bunch of niggas being like, I'm going to
go play with.
Speaker 4 (02:10:42):
That, yeah. And the thing is with the NBA, agree
the CBA, you can't really do that no more.
Speaker 1 (02:10:48):
And everybody sign it back with their own team. They
a niggas that can pay you the most.
Speaker 2 (02:10:52):
But honestly, that should make y'all as a league the team,
y'all should be more scared. Y'all should be more scared.
You can't even group up to get this, Yeah, y'all,
y'all can't.
Speaker 3 (02:11:03):
Even yeah like they did against Lebron.
Speaker 4 (02:11:07):
Yeah right, super.
Speaker 1 (02:11:10):
Team Kevin Durant.
Speaker 2 (02:11:13):
Kevin Durant is not walking through that door, you know
what I'm saying. Like, there's no like the Denver Nuggets
can't look around the league and be like, oh, Joannis,
you aren't trying to group up. It's like, no, the
CBA won't let me. Sorry, So good luck against Wimby anyway.
Maybe Janni's man, I don't I have to see it.
Speaker 4 (02:11:32):
Maybe Janni's I you know what, I'm sleeping on Yanni's
That's not fair. Joannis does play great defense. He can't
go out on the perimeter.
Speaker 2 (02:11:40):
But the way this nigga is dunking, I feel like
Janni's is gonna look at this culture be like, are
you out of your fucking mind?
Speaker 4 (02:11:48):
Not put me on them? I don't want to get
dunk Yeah, yeah, I mean who can't? Who can? Who
can just right out.
Speaker 1 (02:12:01):
The question was just.
Speaker 6 (02:12:04):
The new The new thing I learned about him is
he will put that shoulder in your chest as he's
crossing you up, and you're gonna file off.
Speaker 3 (02:12:12):
The question nigga trouble.
Speaker 4 (02:12:14):
The question that was proposed is okay, just I hear you.
Speaker 2 (02:12:19):
The question that's proposed is how how does anyone have
a chance to stop him?
Speaker 4 (02:12:24):
We know a d can't.
Speaker 2 (02:12:25):
And I'm like maybe Yiannis, like I'm trying to think
because I was like nobody, but I'm like, okay, who
has ladderer movement on the outside?
Speaker 4 (02:12:34):
Mate, Maybe Jannis can slow him down a little bit.
I don't think he can. But what the fun I'm
I supposed to say, like the of the options.
Speaker 3 (02:12:44):
Together? Maybe n together? Maybe?
Speaker 2 (02:12:47):
Yeah, I'll tell you what another another another another winby
you make a clone, make him play against himself.
Speaker 4 (02:13:00):
They made more than one. He got a sister too,
They made more than one of these. That's crazy, all right.
Speaker 3 (02:13:07):
They got a little brother.
Speaker 6 (02:13:08):
But we normally would say the little brother is going
to be better because they spent their whole life practicing
against the one who was the greatest. Yeah, he might
be better because he been practicing against his bigger problem.
Speaker 4 (02:13:20):
I don't think so. But back to back to the
I mean, look at Giannis. Do we say that about him?
Speaker 1 (02:13:26):
No?
Speaker 4 (02:13:26):
We don't. All right, So the.
Speaker 3 (02:13:29):
Other thing that different food, it's different.
Speaker 2 (02:13:33):
We're gonna have to skip the rest of these news
articles because we're just not gonna have time. It's four
and a half hours and can't even get past Winby.
So I do a couple more NBA thoughts. Then Warriors
old no, Clippers old no, not gonna work, Blazers gotta gotta.
Blazers are sneaky.
Speaker 3 (02:13:51):
Here's why I think you said clippers old?
Speaker 4 (02:13:54):
Yes? What are you? What did you What do you think?
Do you think Kawhi and James hard than they're young?
You think Chris Paul is Like what am I saying wrong?
That that that flagged? Oh yeah, I said old no.
Speaker 2 (02:14:11):
But for Clippers, old no, Warriors old no. You know
what I'm saying, Like the old teams to me, because
this is the best they gonna be. Is now, that's
the problem with the old niggas, right, Like it's yeah,
they look like people gonna get excited for the first month, Like,
oh man, you see the Clippers and I'm like, call
at me in April, and let's see what they look
(02:14:34):
like in April.
Speaker 4 (02:14:35):
Like the kawhid Neys gotta hold up, Chris Paul, gotta be.
Speaker 2 (02:14:38):
Healthy like it's a lot. And the Thunder aren't getting old.
Aren't gonna suddenly be five years older than they are.
They gonna still be young and beat the ship out
of them. I guess Warriors, same thing. Yes, no, oh,
I'm talking about who has a chance. Clippers, no chance,
no chance to be like the ring Lakers, just to
(02:15:00):
be determined. But also there in my mind, I can't
see it, but I just need to see what it
even looks like for Lebron. I don't because they did
look great last year right after the trade, and that
was like kind of scary, but then everybody forgot about
it once the playoffs happened and Lebron got hurt.
Speaker 4 (02:15:18):
So now it's like, can they catch that again? I
don't know. Warriors, No, Rockets, I don't Yeah, the point
guard we said that. Kings, No, I don't believe. Yeah, yeah,
Kings No Memphis, no, New Orleans no.
Speaker 9 (02:15:38):
No.
Speaker 4 (02:15:39):
And I like I like what Zion looked doing. He
looks great. Uh he dunked on Winby last night. That
was cool. Uh No, I'm sorry, don't believe in these niggas. Phoenix,
Oh yeah, Phoenix is completely out of it.
Speaker 3 (02:15:54):
Uh for sugar, this it real quick.
Speaker 2 (02:16:01):
Yeah, that's really I can't if we're missing Oh, Minnesota.
Minnesota and Denver to me are both in the same
bucket of Like, yeah, if something happened, like you know,
somebody get hurt on the Thunder, you know what I'm saying.
When when when we get a blood clot then yeah,
like like, don't give up y'all in the mix, but
(02:16:23):
I'll put y'all at the tear above the old niggas.
Like if the Timberwolves lose to the Warriors or the
Lakers or the Clippers, they need to make a huge change. Yes,
they like they supposed to be in the driver's seat
except for against the Thunder probably and Denver you know,
to that credit is the only team that really gave
(02:16:46):
the thunderfits except for Indiana. So you know, if I
was them, I feel fine running it back with what
they got. And I think that's about it for teams
that I really think might be threats or whatever. Yeah,
And I'm not gonna do the East right now because
I mean, whoever come out the East is losing to
(02:17:06):
the thunder, whoever the West is is wedding all right,
finishing out these emails though, Okay, moving on? Oh way,
he says, Uh, the Lakers Wolves game was a good
one as well. I wanted to say, I've seen games
on Peacock as well as Prime.
Speaker 4 (02:17:24):
Is so far, so good.
Speaker 2 (02:17:25):
The announcers on Prime come from TNT, and I believe
Reggie went to Peacock NBC. I like you, right, I'm
excited for the NBA to be back. The years off
to a really good start despite the blackout from the FBI.
Moving on, I sometimes listen to Carl Anthony podcasts up here.
In Brooklyn's latest episode where I found very cringe, he
was an interview with stephen A, and of course stephen
A continue us toward whise hate Lebron and it's becoming
quite annoying now.
Speaker 4 (02:17:46):
But it's one of the Banana.
Speaker 2 (02:17:47):
Boat boys and one of Lebron's closest friends. I was
really surprised Carmelo took this in interview. It's like Justin
going on Brilliant Idiots with Charlemagne or the Breakfast Club.
I don't think Lebron Cares or maybe him and Mellow
spoke prior. But it's not something that I think I
would have done if I was in this position. Let
me say that because I did want to talk about
that too. I really think we kind of missed a
(02:18:11):
shift here. I've been kind of talking around it for years,
but this will crystallized it for me. These new media
podcasts athletes, they no longer identify as athletes for real, right,
They're now media personalities. And when it comes to media personalities,
(02:18:33):
the same way that Carmelo looked up to Lebron James
and his power in the league, and he looked at
him as a peer and a competitor and was like,
I want to do stuff like he did, Like when
Lebron got his contract where he got it one year
earlier than everybody else and then everyone copied him and
d Wade and Carmelo didn't do it, but then the
next time it was like, Okay, let me go ahead
(02:18:55):
and do that too. The same way that Lebron got
his kid into the league, and you can tell Carmelo
would like for his son to be in the league.
At some point, they was goals, They was buddies, they
were peers. They now look at steven A Smith that way. Yes,
a lot of these guys from even Draymond Green, who
will talk shit about stephen A sometimes.
Speaker 4 (02:19:15):
But what did he want to do? Be on TNT?
They want to be on TV.
Speaker 2 (02:19:20):
Carmelo was on Nbcpacock the other day. So when we
look at that relationship and go, but y'all are players
and you're letting us got shipped on the player and
his son and your friend, why would you do that? Well,
it's not just why would he do that? The clip
they put out the remote the episode was that clip,
and it's just Carmela going uh huh okay, no pushback
(02:19:44):
of nothing. And that's because he want to be stephen A.
It's very transactional what we're witnessing. It's a transactional relationship.
Steven A is a transactional person, very nakedly. So money, clicks, views, fame,
that's what he's about. That's what he's gonna get. And
these guys want that. Now, these are extremely competitive guys.
(02:20:05):
They're competitive now, but the arena's not basketball, it's clicks,
it's viral moments, it's this shit. So I looked at
that shit and was like, oh, oh, I've I didn't
realize it. It got this cut throat because I would
have not let that happen in front of me with
no pushback.
Speaker 4 (02:20:24):
And Steven.
Speaker 2 (02:20:24):
They also went on Ryan Clark's podcast and talked about
Jazmine Crockett and they set up there mm hmm all
the way through it, this place that claimed to stand
up for black women and be a safe space and
challenge Andrew Schultz then invited Andrew Schols on and said
he was a good guy and didn't apologize and all
the shit. And I just saw Ryan Clark put out
(02:20:45):
another apology about this Jazz and Clark thing, a Jazz
and Crockett thing.
Speaker 4 (02:20:48):
I'm gonna play it.
Speaker 1 (02:20:49):
Out second, apologizing ass man.
Speaker 4 (02:20:51):
He addicted to it.
Speaker 2 (02:20:52):
But my point is worse than me, and you know
that's bad. But my point is we're looking at it backwards.
That wasn't Lebron's friend letting stephen A talk about Lebron.
It was Carmelo Anthony media personality trying to get a
(02:21:12):
viral clip. And if you look at it that way,
it's really not that shocking, even if it's kind of sad,
because they were supposed to be new media. They were
supposed to be different. They were supposed to protect the athlete,
give the athletes perspective. They were supposed to detegrate the
media in the hot takes. Now watching Chandler Parsons talk
shit about LaMelo and you're like, oh, that's the same
thing stephen A does, like just no context, just over
(02:21:35):
the top conversation. Yeah, okay, So y'all really wanted to
beat them the whole time. Y'all lied and said y'all,
y'all thought they did a bad job, but y'all just
wanted to be the one to do the job and
get to check from ESPN, from Fandel, from ABC, from Peacock.
Speaker 1 (02:21:52):
A lot of them. That's the money revenue once you
can't play basketball anymore.
Speaker 4 (02:21:56):
Yeah, that's what they after. So anyway, I thought it
was fucked.
Speaker 3 (02:21:59):
Up, definitely, last last statement.
Speaker 2 (02:22:03):
Yeah, lastly, the other day one of the regular shows, Rod,
you were speaking about CT. We all know that after
the death is when we can find out more about
the person. Do you think we will reach a point
we might be able to diagnose possibly treat CT before
death stage? So many other things of all of course,
time have a great weekend, fowards out.
Speaker 4 (02:22:19):
Oh, no idea. I'm not a scientist. I didn't. I
mean it was crazy to me. You can only find
out after they die.
Speaker 2 (02:22:24):
I mean, I think we all know when we see it,
and certain people you're like, that's probably the ct and
we make jokes about it. But I mean, I'm not
really joking a lot of times I'll be like, that
seemed like something happen to their brain.
Speaker 4 (02:22:37):
Yeah, like look at.
Speaker 2 (02:22:39):
Yeah, like you just telling me it's people like Tyreek
Hill that's making these decisions. They think they're gonna work out,
or you're telling me something probably happened to them, and
you get your brain knocked a bunch of times, and
you know they're still not treating it seriously because the
Giants just had their coach get fined and some of
the players get fine and the team get fine because
one of the players got hurt, Jackson Dart, and they
(02:23:01):
was like, yeah, uh, we would like to have him
out of the CTE tent immediately, so Russell Wilson can't
finish this game for him, So they don't treat it serious.
They don't care he had he possibly had a concussion,
and the coaches like, get him back in the game immediately,
and the NFL's only recourse was to find him. You know,
(02:23:22):
to me, honestly, if you thought it was serious and
they were treating CT seriously, you would have literally done
to wild shit like make him, suspend him from coaching,
held Jackson dart out a game anyway to be like
as a precaution, but really you're penalizing the team for
doing that shit.
Speaker 4 (02:23:38):
But they didn't.
Speaker 2 (02:23:38):
They just find him because nobody actually gives a fuck
about CT anymore. Right, Let's see uh Wanga says, good
day everybody, Rosieah. I better hope that they stick to
only the game from where he was in Charlotte, because
if they look at last year on the heat, he's fucked.
No way he wasn't on the take with how bad
he played. Have a good one, Wana, straight to the point.
Speaker 4 (02:24:05):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 6 (02:24:08):
I've been loving them clips, oh Terry Russell Westbrook even
with playing the Sacramento and they're like, look next on
the list. It's a few of them guys that they've
been I've been plunk in front of. But also not
jokes to be like on.
Speaker 2 (02:24:28):
The tape, Wanga, you b wasshitn't this morning, I had
the darkest thought. I was like, remember the time the
Hornets lost to playing games, got blown the funk out?
Speaker 4 (02:24:43):
Hm hm hm hmm. Terry was on them teams.
Speaker 1 (02:24:48):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (02:24:49):
Terry was on them teams.
Speaker 2 (02:24:50):
Right, James Rego lost his job and we always like
he can't go into playing game, k coach, I'm like,
can we check the check the bank accounts for them
transactions that day?
Speaker 4 (02:25:00):
I just need to know.
Speaker 1 (02:25:01):
I just want to.
Speaker 4 (02:25:01):
I'm just I'm just interested to do it once.
Speaker 1 (02:25:03):
You probably have done it before, it just never got caught.
Speaker 2 (02:25:05):
Now, maybe the NBA wasn't in bed with gambling at
the time, but I mean paying information the gamblers, like
selling information that gamblers doesn't necessarily mean fan dude gotta
be involved on any level, right.
Speaker 3 (02:25:19):
Yeah, that Terry wasn't involved these other guys bruh.
Speaker 2 (02:25:24):
Now that's just that's just me on my hopium as
a as a on its fan. But still, all right,
here's the here's the only thing say that again justin
I'm sorry, no.
Speaker 3 (02:25:36):
I'm saying the same.
Speaker 6 (02:25:37):
But it's a lot of them guys like these just
happened to be the guys that's under the FBI's I right,
because they were somehow connected to another person.
Speaker 3 (02:25:47):
Because somebody was talking.
Speaker 4 (02:25:49):
Here's the only quick stuff I'll do.
Speaker 2 (02:25:52):
Jalen Brown, fake hairline, jet just came off on somebody jersey.
Oh no, yeah, yeah, So he went to do a
move leaning to the jersey and now there's a black
spot on this man's jersey.
Speaker 1 (02:26:10):
Oh no, not that.
Speaker 4 (02:26:13):
That fiction.
Speaker 2 (02:26:17):
That Lebron would never have this happen. And that's why
Lebron the goat because he would never let that happen.
Speaker 3 (02:26:25):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:26:26):
The Eagles, A J. Brown is not gonna play due
to a hamstring injury.
Speaker 2 (02:26:31):
And I'm gonna just come out and say it because
nobody else is willing to say it. Everybody's was talking
about how thoughtful this man is, his character. He just
cares about winning. It's not about I think this nigga
is a devil wide receiver in disguise. I think y'all
are falling for it. He using this mental health talk
and book reading on the sideline, the trick y'all, and
the acting like he's not.
Speaker 4 (02:26:49):
T o this nigga t o basic. All he do
is ship on this quarterback in this team because he
ain't getting.
Speaker 2 (02:26:56):
The ball enough and then he just disguised this no
because I want them to do so well to get
the ball.
Speaker 4 (02:27:03):
I'm now. The thing is, I'm not shitting on him
for being a t o.
Speaker 2 (02:27:07):
I think in the league where your individual status is
how you get paid, fuck all that goddamn team ship
where they be like, no, it's about wins when it's
time to negotiate, And I'm like, well, y'all know I'm
one of the best fire receivers.
Speaker 4 (02:27:20):
Y'all just don't get throw the ball. You just gonna
look at that motherfucking.
Speaker 2 (02:27:25):
Time you look at them stats like, I don't think
you are. You don't have eight hundred yards. So I'm
with him in that.
Speaker 4 (02:27:32):
I think he has a legitimate gripe about his personal stats.
Speaker 2 (02:27:36):
Uh, but I think he's a diva, and I think
we gotta stop lying about Oh no, he's just a
good guy. He's a stand up brother. I'm not saying
you're not a standing up brother. But he also clearly
is trying to get that motherfucking money.
Speaker 1 (02:27:48):
I don't blame him.
Speaker 4 (02:27:50):
Jayalen during got It.
Speaker 2 (02:27:53):
Jalen Durn got ejected for instantly for delivering a vicious
elbow to a man Thompson's face.
Speaker 4 (02:28:00):
Hey, don't his brother play for the Pistons, explain that
one that Thanksgiving? Like you just gonna let your man's
elbowed me in the face and get ejected from the game.
You ain't gonna do nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:28:15):
Cause I'm look, I don't know how your brotherhood works.
Everybody brotherhood a little different it is. But we gotta
jump this man.
Speaker 4 (02:28:22):
Oh, I can't come home like like, I can't be like, hey,
tough game today, man, you good?
Speaker 1 (02:28:29):
Like it's gotta be like, oh, you just lay him?
Speaker 2 (02:28:31):
Really Okay, So maybe they're not as tight as I thought,
because I feel like a sore should have should have
done something, you know, but he didn't. All right, anymore
quick stories, don't care about Kevin. Dinner at Contract Extension
kind of brought that up. Thunders Championship bring got a
ring inside that was cool but not really newsworthy. Oh
(02:28:54):
Russell Wilson called uh his old coach Sean Payton class
list because Sean Payton was shitting on him Derrek talking
about Jackson Dark and all this ship and so Wilson said,
classes but not surprised. Didn't realize you're still bounty hunting.
Fifteen plus years later through the media.
Speaker 4 (02:29:11):
Hashtag let's ride uh so and some laughing emojis. Okay, okay, Sierra,
you know, was.
Speaker 2 (02:29:20):
Like, baby, you're gonna take that, Sierra, I'll see you.
Got a hold of the phone, I'll see you know.
So she know the passwords what we're saying. Yes, she
she know the past word.
Speaker 1 (02:29:31):
It ain't locked, it ain't never locked.
Speaker 2 (02:29:34):
Well, it's locked for a little future, you know what
I'm saying, Like, you gotta keep okay, but but she
know the code is all I'm saying. All Right, other
fast ones, I'll save that one for next week. Uh,
who gives a fuck about Bill Belichick? That's going exactly
like I told you all that would yeah, terribly. Yeah,
(02:29:55):
I'll say that one for next week. Oh, Ryan Clark,
I did say I would cover that one.
Speaker 3 (02:29:59):
Okay, Yeah, I was gonna say.
Speaker 6 (02:30:01):
I thought you're gonna tell you about people thinking about
seeing these sportsbooks.
Speaker 3 (02:30:06):
Nah, in the NBA sewing.
Speaker 4 (02:30:08):
The sports of the games. Nah.
Speaker 2 (02:30:12):
I think we already talked about that so much that
maybe next week. I feel like that's another thirty minutes.
Ryan Clark, explaining himself, was in Spaces.
Speaker 4 (02:30:24):
For the stephen A. Coming on the shipping on Jasmine Crockett.
So why is nine out of ten not good enough?
Speaker 2 (02:30:31):
Why is the nine times I put my job on
the line or I said things and did things and
was in spaces you would never be put stuff on
the line.
Speaker 4 (02:30:41):
That you would never and you have never that you
ain't never worked hard.
Speaker 1 (02:30:44):
Enough to get.
Speaker 4 (02:30:45):
And in the tenth time, if I don't feel like
you feel, why.
Speaker 1 (02:30:49):
Is that not okay?
Speaker 3 (02:30:50):
Scrap?
Speaker 7 (02:30:51):
I'm a street legic, well fellas back together, rush firing
at people.
Speaker 3 (02:30:55):
You know, love it.
Speaker 4 (02:30:57):
That's what I wanted him to do the whole time.
Speaker 2 (02:30:59):
I knew that energy, all that nice pleasant anybody says
something about.
Speaker 4 (02:31:03):
So it's just like a promotional video.
Speaker 1 (02:31:05):
Then I thought it was, yeah, this is a promotion
of it.
Speaker 9 (02:31:10):
Because if you're going to really do that, George Colony
on Esquad Magazine, let me just leave through a couple.
Speaker 2 (02:31:21):
Yeah, they kind of running from it because he put
the caption. Is why I played the video. We sat
with Steven A. Smith a week before his discourse on
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. Is why we didn't ask a question
about her or have extended conversation. I shared my thoughts
after he mentioned her moved on.
Speaker 4 (02:31:37):
It wasn't a thing. Yet we are.
Speaker 2 (02:31:39):
Praised for the space we provided. Stephen A deserved that space.
He's my friend and he's shown true loyalty. I'm not
going to show my ass by using his name to
get clicks or a piece the masses.
Speaker 4 (02:31:48):
The clip that he put out. The clip that he put.
Speaker 2 (02:31:51):
Out was the clip of Jasmine Crockett about so you
were using his name and Jasmine Crockett to get clicks.
The second part of that is we're not telling you
you can't have Steven Ell your show. You didn't push back,
and you know you didn't push back even after promising
to be a safe space and all that shit. Lastly,
(02:32:13):
and I hate to say this about Ryan because I
think he's mostly a stand up dude, but you're lying.
You got caught in a lot because stephen A's comment
on there was talking about how he had already been
talking shit about Jason Crockett, which means it wasn't a
week before he said that shit.
Speaker 4 (02:32:31):
The comment is a response to what he had already said.
Speaker 2 (02:32:36):
So yeah, I and this is why I said, Man,
the transactional nature of stephen A is going to keep
him alive forever, of course, because you just dirty yourself
because you can't stand the scrutiny.
Speaker 4 (02:32:49):
Either don't address it. Yeah, either don't address it.
Speaker 2 (02:32:54):
Or stop acting like you the one that holds everybody
accountable and you stand up for black women and all
this shit.
Speaker 1 (02:32:59):
Just they just don't say it, right.
Speaker 2 (02:33:02):
You know, you could have asked better questions, You could
have pushed back. If it was somebody else.
Speaker 1 (02:33:06):
You would have I agree.
Speaker 4 (02:33:08):
And the fact that he's your friend doesn't mean shit,
you know. Yeah, you put the.
Speaker 6 (02:33:12):
Clip out because friends, you able to push back because
he is your friend.
Speaker 2 (02:33:18):
Right, You're not really friends. You're in a transactional situationship.
And that's the real truth. And until people are willing
to admit that shit, we're gonna end up right back
where we are, all right.
Speaker 4 (02:33:31):
I think that's every apology.
Speaker 3 (02:33:33):
How many times?
Speaker 6 (02:33:34):
How many times you're gonna let Ryan apologize to you
and other people before you feel like it?
Speaker 2 (02:33:39):
Right?
Speaker 3 (02:33:40):
Ryan is not who I thought he was.
Speaker 2 (02:33:42):
Oh yeah, and Penn State fired that James Franklin dude,
and I was excited because I was like, oh, fifty
million dollars biout. Then I found out they got a
clause or he gotta actually look for a job, and
then they only pay him the difference between his new
job and what they owe him.
Speaker 4 (02:33:57):
So what would you work McDonald's or Subway? What would
you what would you go get your job at? I
just want to know directly, right where am I? I'm
working for tips? You know what I'm saying? Like, where
are we?
Speaker 2 (02:34:11):
Right? I hope you don't think I'm finna go get
one of these high pressure, ten million dollars a year
motherfucking college coaching jobs. Again, I'm not fin to do
that at all. Player, No, sir, I need my fifty Okay,
I'm gonna need that. I don't give a fuck what
y'all put that right where you work? I work at Lows,
(02:34:32):
and I'm gonna need y'all to match the one. The
rest of that four hundred of five, the rest of
that forty nine million, nine hundred ninety thousand, Like I'm
gonna need all that every dime.
Speaker 3 (02:34:47):
Fuck out of the job I wanted to requires me
to go back to school first.
Speaker 4 (02:34:50):
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:34:52):
Actually, I'm going I want to be a doctor. I
want to solve cancer. So you have to look for
a job, right, I'm gonna look for a job. This
part of it, this part of me looking for the
new job, is me getting my doctorate. Yeah all right, man,
that's it. We done almost five hours and I said
it would be short, but I never could short change y'all. Man,
(02:35:13):
y'all pay it's early.
Speaker 4 (02:35:15):
We value y'all. I missed justin. I wanted to talk
my shit. I hope y'all got everything y'all wanted out
of this.
Speaker 2 (02:35:24):
Make sure y'all leave comments, let us know it's appreciated,
because I still got to do feedback show at some
point today.
Speaker 4 (02:35:34):
Yeah, I gotta either go for a well.
Speaker 2 (02:35:37):
I did the gym last night, so because I knew
today might be one of them days. So instead of
going to the gym today in the middle and putting
that pressure on me to get there by six, I
was like, let me do that. I did the gym
at like seven eight o'clock last night, you know, because
I'm trying to stay committed and get these goals.
Speaker 4 (02:35:57):
Man.
Speaker 2 (02:35:58):
So anyway, I might take a break to get some
food and then come back and do the feedback show
or whatever. So thank you all for listening. I hope
you all enjoyed it. I hope you'll appreciate it, and we'll.
Speaker 4 (02:36:09):
Be back next week. Until then, peace peace brought to
you Braughti, bay Fandue
