A podcast call twenty five whist stuck and they all
whist So, yeah's too bad. But what did you expect?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
It's a podcast call twenty five whistline.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Blow it up. We were out in the lobby eating
Eddie salsa. It's real good.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
You like it?
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, it's real good. I don't know what you do
with that.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
What do you mean, ball it up? Sell that sucker.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I know you say stuff like that, but I mean
it sounds good. Nobody a part of my organization, the
whole organization does anything, no offense.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
What do you mean I do stuff? I mean you
mean business.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah, everybody claims they want to do stuff. Got everybody
has a big idea on a side hustle. And I'm
not saying you don't work hard as you do, thank you,
But I'm talking about outside of this job, where you
talk about stuff like just still, but nobody does.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
It sounds cool to be like, but you could do.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I mean, it's really good. It's just a time investment
and money investment, but it's really good. I just don't
know what you do.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Where I get hung up on stuff like that, Like
sounds is tough, because like, how do I make that
last for two months?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
But you don't. I think you could sell it locally
and do old nineties wrap, sell CDs out of the
back of your trunk.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Oh dang, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
But again, it's a time investment to.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
A neighborhood Broadway playing music like an ice cream truck.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
But you don't have to be racist.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
What do you What do you mean play some music, dude,
send to your size up white folks like salsa too. No,
I'd go to your neighborhood too. That would be proud
of I could do.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
I'm just saying you could say, hey, I've got a
hundred bottles, and I don't want to give you the blueprint.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Because the ideas, dude are great.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
No, but I just wish you would have like ideas
and do stuff yourself.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I thought farmers markets that'd be kind of fun, but.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
That's what's once a month. Yeah, and then you're competing.
Oh yeah, a bunch of longer and people who, let's
be honest, are more Mexican than you.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
That's true. Yeah, yeah, not a farmer's market, A little
bit of a coconut. No, sometimes, No, I am a
coconut for sure.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
You know what that is, Kevin, No, brown on the outside,
wide on the inside.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Oh, coconut. That's what people would call me, like, and
I never heard that one, Like the real Mexican dudes
would be like, man, you're a coconut, And I'm like,
what does that mean? Yeah, you're white on the inside
but brown on the outside.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I was like, that's kind of clever. Yeah, he's like,
you would say that.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
That's very white of you. You went to see switch Foot, Yeah,
so my wife and I were listening. We talked about
this on the show. We had a whole switch Foot
night a couple of weeks ago because they had songs.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Like uh, you men to live so much more. But
then they had that's all I got?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
No, I got more?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I think switch Foot and Life House they start to
cross over because Life House says, hanging by a moment
you switch Foot has I can't right because Lifehouse do you?
And then screen I know all up the others. That's it?
Oh yeah, dare you.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
To ringtone back in middle school?
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Right there? Switch Foot? Yeah, yeah, you're a little younger
than us. Yeah, you didn't even get real switch Foot.
You saw switch Foot that the older people knew from
young But you're just watching a good band that's older.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Now you're talking about the other night.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Is that what you're saying?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
You didn't watch a band that you liked when you
were younger. Yeah, I did, You're too young.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Did you go.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Switch to songs? I mean those two songs? I love
those songs.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Did you go to their show?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
No?
Speaker 4 (05:05):
I went to like a CMA pre CMA event that
BMG A label was having and apparently they're on their label,
and they brought them out like there was all these
country acts and then all of a sudden they're like,
oh yeah we got switch Foot and they say the
country three songs. No, No, they they did cover Beastie
Boys Sabotage. That was awesome. He was up in the crowd,
he was going crazy. The lead singer was awesome.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Was that Brooken Ball?
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah, switch was awesome.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
I great.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
I should try to get on the bobycast or the
lead singer. I don't want the whole band. Whole bands
are hard to interview because then you feel like you
have to like give attention to, like the bassist.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
And then they feel like they need to say something
in the interview too.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
I know you know his brother's in the band. I
didn't know that the lead singer Foot, Yeah, Switch, Switch
foot the other switch.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Did you go to the CMAS No?
Speaker 5 (05:52):
I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Did you watch it?
Speaker 4 (05:54):
I watched like half of it thoughts first hour and
a half or so. Pretty good, pretty entertaining. I thought
the shows were good. The awards kind of go as
you think. I didn't think Ella and Riley were gonna
win a couple of times with that song. I thought
maybe zach Top might win one.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
But did Zach Top not win one?
Speaker 1 (06:13):
New Artist?
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Okay, he won New Artist. I think it was asleep
by then.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I don't watch any of it, but I just looked
at clips back. Uh yeah, But he put.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
On a great show, Zach Top. He played like some
the guitar makes your heart go or something like that.
It was really really good.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
There's a festival in California. We've played it before. It's
an Indigo, So Indio Indio stage Coach.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Great, and you hear how he said it to like
California and corrected you Indio dude.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Jump he did jump down my throat. I'm sorry, I'm
sorry I said it wrong.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Did you know that's where a switch Foot is from?
Speaker 6 (06:47):
San Diego?
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Well, southern California.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I'm just saying California, California. So so we we Eddie
and I have played that festival before, called it's stage
Coach and it's kind of hard to get to because
it's not La and you gotta drive y. But and
it's it's probably the biggest. Would you say it's the biggest
country festival.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Oh yeah, it's hundred people.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Yeah sure, because Brandon you played it with us, right,
we all went together. And so I was looking at
the lineup this year and what's cool? It makes me
think about this because switch Foot, but like I think
Counting Crows are playing it this year.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
They are.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I think it's much more of a thing now with
these festivals is to grab bands that were awesome whenever
we were younger. Then't have to be country like as
long as they play instruments, so that's cool and they
play there. I think there are multiple of these bands
like Bush, are they playing in Indigo Indigo the Indigo Journey, Okay, yeah,
so as Wow Blind Yeah, Third Eye Blind. That's what
(07:45):
I was thinking about.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Even whenever they have these nineties cruises, I'm always like,
I'm not going to this, but that would be so cool.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
It would be fun. I feel like a nineties cruise
is too much, you think, so it's too old.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Like I follow Lit on Instagram and I think they
go on a cruise every and it's like, man, it's
Lit with camp with uh who's sing sex and candy?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
They got one song? They got one song. I think
there's just too much nineties on a cruise. I like
the guys are great, like aus People, and they played
art show Brandon Neson. But if that's all it is,
that's tough. But if they're mixed in and like you're
watching Riley Green and then you're watching Counting Crows a
Third Eye Black and then it's like Thomas Rhett, it fits.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
That's what was cool about switch Foot, Like it was
country Act before that was kind of slow ballot kind
of stuff, and they came on and then just rock.
You were like, yeah, I got the whole crowd going,
so to your point, that's a great combination. Also, Pitbull
and Ludacris, guys, they were the coach next year.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yeah, they're really playing like that late night that late night.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Yeah, they're pit Bull Ludacris.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Theory. Not as many good country artists and now I
got to put in strong theory strong uh so or
not as many, I should take this back, not as
many massive country artists because it's big haming so fractional
because of the ability to get so many artists TikTok, etcetera.
Not as good as like talented, as as mono culture
(09:11):
country music known.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
When we played, I remember talking to some of the
people that were working there and they were just kind
of exhausted and like the more I talked to them, like, yeah,
we just had Coachella, Coachella right.
Speaker 7 (09:21):
The weekend before, two weeks before in California. I've never
been to Coachella though, you never went, No, I wasn't
my scene.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Like that's crazy that the same crew that works Coachella
works stage Coach and it's like, what four weeks of
just festival.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
That's second three week weeks though it's uh yes, three
weeks right, two of the pop one of the country. Correct,
but the field is so beat down because by the
time we got there, it's all dust because of the
two weeks before. Anyway, enough about Indigo.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Indigo Man Classic Place.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yeah, that's great.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Is that by Palm Springs? Because I remember being in
that area.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Yeah, okay, hey, let's go to a California ex right,
Palm spring is approximately.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Would you move back to California?
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Yeah? No, No, the answer is no.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
I've asked him this, No, I wouldn't. Sometimes I'm like, dang,
do I miss it a little bit? But then like
every time I go back there, I'm like, yeah, I
don't want.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
To be back here.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Actually it's the weather's awesome. Yeah, the weather's great. Of
course I hate the weather here sometimes, But yeah, I
hated LA when I was like even just living there
for a couple of months. I don't like the people
there exactly. And I didn't have enough of my own
community there to not be around the people that type
of person because I was always just working where you
can fall into that trap in Nashville too, like get
here new and you're just like around all climbers and
(10:46):
all people in it. And I think that happens a lot.
But then once you find your group, you can kind
of insulate yourself for the most part from that type.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Yeah, but you can't say, you know, I mean you
were those people like you there.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Yeah, I mean I grew up there for thirty hours,
so that was you. Yeah, but I always felt like,
you know, these aren't my people.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
You know, well you you meant you, you felt like
you were you need to be in the East Coast.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Yeah, the South, the South, Yeah, Tennessee exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Celtics fan patriots in the South Tennessee.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
He's Johnny Cash song. He roots for everybody, man, he
roots for everybody. He got a team down the Floid,
got a team up in Boston, got a team and
the best Coast got team.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
I'm here boys, you're here here.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
And he got emotional watching a TikTok video.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Yeah, dude, it got me good. I normally don't like
TikTok videos, like whatever, that's funny, but man, this one was.
They somebody did a montage of all of these football players,
like NFL players, you know, just seeing people that they
know after the game, Like I think it was like,
oh I saw I don't remember who they started with.
It was like a couple of I'm like, oh it was.
(11:55):
It was Josh Allen and he went to go see
the kicker or whatever. He's like, is that him at him?
And he goes and gives him a big hug. I'm like,
that's kind of cool. But then they go to Trevon
Diggs and and Michaeh Parsons and they're like, bro, and
they fuck each other. He's got the Packers jersey and
Diggs has the Cowboys jersey. And then they just kept
on going, did more and more and people are crying
like how you doing, brother, good to see you, and
(12:16):
like I got teary eyed. I don't know why it's
so stupid, but I think when you see football players
become humans and see their old buddies or what. I
don't know, dude, I just like was like, I need
to get off this thing. You know when they surprise think.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
You probably just something else happened in your life and
that that video just hit at a time. Yeah, it
was pretty.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Normal day, like nothing crazy, but when that came out,
I've been watching, dude, it was it was weird. And
then there was one where like Emmett was on a
red carpet and Michael Irvin showed up and he's like,
emn they gave each other a big huggle, like this
is so beautiful, Like they're the camaraderie that these guys
build in the football field, you know, and then they
see each other even though they just kind of beat
each other up on the I don't know, it's all
(12:58):
just it was really It's like it's like when you
see the soldiers, you know, like.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
It's not no, no, I understand, but it's not that's
the same feeling.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
That's not the same. The surprise Packers last week played
who again? I forgot Giants? Okay, so someone on the
field they were as the game was ending, I don't
rememberho it was, but they were trying to take their
jersey off to switch with Michael Parsons and he couldn't
quite get his arm out his jersey's so tight. Yeah,
and so he was like, hey, we're doing jerseys and
(13:30):
it was on camera, and so he it was just
awkward because he couldn't get his jersey all it would
just get his arm under it, and it was and
Michael Parties just standing there.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Like waiting like He's like, it's cool, I don't need
your jersey.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
And Michael Partson just took We just took his shoulder
pads off his head and then pulled it off. But
this guy was trying to get it off as he
was wearing pads. Oh that's kind of funny, dude.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Those I mean, those jerseys are so tight like now,
like even my son played football, like I had to
help him put his jersey on every single game and
then take off his pads because they were all just
so skin tight. They look cool.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Yeah, even when we did our too much access and
put on jerseys, they're super pretty freaking tight. All right,
So let's build out the parlay here. Who wants in whatever?
Speaker 3 (14:11):
You guys seem to be doing good without me.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
No, we've lost well exactly do you want back anyone? No?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Because I haven't really looked at well, you know what.
This is the week that I think, this is the
week that we make money.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Okay, I'm going to Arkansas. I'm going to Arkansas plus
eight and a half. Arkansas is gonna be Texas. This
is gonna and not because I think Arkansas's better than Texas,
because they probably line up and are better than us
at every single position. I'm used to us just giving
us a little cobble of corn every year and giving
us something to slightly be happy about. We're going to Texas.
(14:44):
Texas is not gonna care about us. Arkansas plus eight
and a half.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
So you want to go money line?
Speaker 1 (14:51):
No, I mean I'm stupid. I'm not that stupid, dude.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
We go money line. We're making cash.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
Go ahead.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
See I saw this earlier and I was like, I
have to remember to bet on this. The Georgia lines wild,
the Georgia one, Georgia mine.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
I'm going to Georgie and a half.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I'm going Georgia minus forty three and a half. Over
who they played, Charlotte. Yeah, the Hornets, dude, let's go
baby Lamella ball. I think that's the Bobcats or something.
I don't know what they are.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
You're going Georgia minus forty three.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Dude, that's a no brainer. They can't go there.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Come on, man, it's hard to just score forty three
and a half. Well, so you can't score half. It's
hard to just score forty three points period against air.
It feels like but I hear you, Okay, I think
this is a no brainer, that's your pick, Kevin.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Hmmm.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
So we're building our parlay here presented by Drive Kings.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Yeah, Georgia three and a half.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
The other game that I if I wasn't so like
Bola Shawn Arkansas just throwing a nugget at me at
some point this year, I would have gone Vanderbilt.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
I'm looking. I'm looking at that in Oregon.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
I was thinking Oregon. You don't want to do Oregon.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
Now I'm gonna do Vanderbilt minus nine and a half.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Kentucky at Bandy, Yeah, Kentucky at Vidie Bandy. Enough, all right,

Now, let's go over and talk to you. Brandon Marcelo.
He works for CBS Sports. He is a college football reporter.
He is really following the Lane Kiffin situation if when
he leaves Ole, miss He wrote about it this week,
which you can read at cbssports dot com. Follow him
if you love college football at Brandon Marcelo. Here he
is Brandon Marcelo. All right, we were on with Brandon Marcelo.
(17:20):
I haven't looked at the line of the Arkansas Texas game, Brandon,
but I was telling Arkansas is gonna win this game.
We're gonna be Texas. WHOA, Yeah, it didn't even matter
to the line.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
I think it's I think it's like ten points something.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I guess eight and a half perfect and a half
nailed it.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
Well.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Wow, here's the thing about we just happened to be
talking about this when you came on, But here's thinking
about us. Uh yeah, we suck, but we once a
year do something you don't expect, like one time, just
to give you like a glimmer. And that's gonna beating Texas.
So Arkansas money line. But not you, Brandon, but anybody
out there. I'm just that. Look, I'm not bulleted on
(17:56):
Arkansas football, trust me. But we're doing it.
Speaker 7 (17:58):
Man.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Uh Brandon, good See I was reading your article yesterday
about Lane Kiffin. What's up?
Speaker 5 (18:03):
Only that man knows, and I'm not sure he knows.
It's fascinating.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
As much as he's talked about how he's learned from
the past, like three years ago when he was contemplating
taking the Auburn job and Ole Miss end up suffering
for it because I think they lost like three straight
games at the end of the season as a result
of all that drama, he hasn't changed very much. He's
dragging this out and in fact that if anything, it's
(18:29):
worse because he's got I mean legitimately, the Old Miss
administrators are like, you know, we need an answer, dude,
because we got playoffs to prepare for, potentially, and if
he takes an SEC job, they're not going to let
him be the coach through the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
They're going to be like, you gotta go, dude, You're
gonna go coach for a rival. We can't have that.
Speaker 8 (18:50):
So and you got a fan base there that I'm
gonna say's necessarily turning against him, but they're sick of
it too. And again, I the very fact that he's
sitting there like going, oh, I don't know or whatever.
I mean, that does not reflect well on Ole Miss either.
So like, if you're like a recruit or anything, like,
(19:12):
how do you feel about Ole Miss? If even your
head coach is sitting there thinking I don't know if
I want to stay here, It's it's a bit insane.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
There are people like a Brandon Walker who I'm friends with,
who works at Barstool, and he's convinced that this is
a wrestling move where he wants to do the big
shit like I'm staying. He's dragging it out so he
can say he's staying. You think that's true?
Speaker 8 (19:33):
Oh, I think it's very possible. Don't discount anything from
Lane Kiffin. The guy's an entertainer. He's a troll. He
always has been a troll online. If you ever follow
his stuff and what he does, I could see that.
I could see him coming out in the Egg Bowl,
you know, after the game, after winning it or whatever,
and standing in the middle of the field saying, I'm
not going anywhere.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Yeah, he's just that type of guy.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Now, I'm just gonna go for memory so that this
could be factually inaccurate, so you can help me out.
But didn't he take the job at Ole Miss when
he was the offensive coordinator at Alabama? And then Sarkisi
ended up calling the plays, But because they removed him
off that staff.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
He took the head coaching job. I think it at FAU.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Oh that's what it was, FAU. That's right, it was FAU.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yep.
Speaker 8 (20:18):
Yeah, he took the job at FAU and they were like, yeah,
you're a little uh uh. You know, I'm busy right now,
you need to go. So Saban's like, you got to go, man,
you can't stay here.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
And and so Sarkeisi end up calling the plays and
he ended up being the offensive coordinator. But now I'm
gonna roll over to Sarkisian here. He's now said he's
not going anywhere. Do we believe that.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Who wants them? No one wants them?
Speaker 1 (20:45):
I mean, we.
Speaker 5 (20:48):
We worked through this, like a few weeks ago with him.
There were rumors.
Speaker 8 (20:50):
There's a report out that he was letting NFL teams
know that he was interested in whatever, and I was
looking into it. I couldn't confirm that part of it,
but I talked to a couple of agents and both
of them said, who in the NFL wants him? No
one wants him. We haven't heard anything along those lines.
So I mean, where would he go? I mean, you know,
(21:12):
as one person pointed out to me, I mean, the
guy's got three losses right now, he's seven and three.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
They're not going to make the playoff, Like who's hiring him?
And why in the NFL? I mean, it's but that
hasn't stopped the rumors. I mean, the rumors have been nuts.
Speaker 8 (21:32):
And a lot of that stuff's usually started out by
you know, rival fans and fake Twitter accounts and all
that stuff. But used to be I don't know, Steve
Sarkegen's never struck me as a guy that has thin skin,
but it just seems like that this is something that's
kind of gotten under his skin for whatever reason.
Speaker 5 (21:52):
And I'm sure the losses piling up has kind of
evoked that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
I was thinking about making a substantial bet on the
national championship and I haven't. I haven't done a future
at all, and it's I don't want to bet. I
never want to bet the favorite. I never do if
I'm making a substantial bet unless it's like my team.
So I'm not going to bet Ohio State. I'm not
going to bet Indiana. I'm really leaning toward Texas Tech
because I think the odds versus how good they like,
tell me how good you think Texas Tech is?
Speaker 5 (22:20):
They're pretty good.
Speaker 8 (22:21):
The problem I have with them is like every game
I watch, I feel like they should have scored like
two more touchdowns. They just seem to like they're not
quite living up quite to their potential of what I
see on paper.
Speaker 5 (22:34):
Potentially. I also have issues with, like, what are they
going to look like.
Speaker 8 (22:40):
When they get into the playoff against a team that's
about the same as far as talent and especially in
the trenches, that can match up well with them. This
is a team that's going to be very much predicated
their success on what kind of matchups they have in
the playoffs. I don't think they're a team that's going
to be able to overwhelm anybody that's in that twelve
(23:03):
team field, other than maybe the Group.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Of six champion.
Speaker 8 (23:07):
Whereas I could say that about Ohio State, I can
say that about Indiana. I could probably even say that
quite honestly about Oregon, and then and then the SEC
teams like Bama. Actually, I think a Tech Bama game
would be fascinating. I think Tech would very well win
that game. But like Tech Georgia, things like that. But
(23:31):
what what kind of odds do you have on that
for the futures?
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Well, before I got and before I jumped into all
the odds, I don't want to be fully affected by odds,
but I know I don't want to bet the best odds,
So we could we could pull them up the other team.
I was going to bet at Georgia because I felt
comfortable with Georgia, and I feel comfortable with the coach
that's been there. If all things are equal, I like experience,
and so Georgia was kind of my secondary because they're
(23:54):
not going to be one or two. You have the odds. Kevin, Yeah,
plus fourteen hundred four Texas tech man, that's heavy.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
Yeah they're six.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yeah, that's heavy. I like that plus fourteen hundred. What
about Georgia. I'm gonna guess plus seven hundred one thousand.
Oh I gotta go Georgia, then, right, yeah, go Georgia.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
Yeah yeah, oh yeah, I go Georgia.
Speaker 8 (24:19):
Kirby's the best coach out there right now. Watch the
second half of a lot of these games this year,
some of the just the end game adjustments they've made
and clamping down on opponents. Kirby's out coached like practically everybody,
including even in that loss against Bama. You look at
the second half of that game. I mean, the way
they were able to kind of I don't know. I
(24:41):
think Kirby's the best coach by far in the country.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Anything to the fact that Oregon has not been the
top twenty five team this.
Speaker 8 (24:48):
Year, that doesn't really concern me very much. They're so
explosive and so quick and fast offensively. Defensively, that defensive
line I think is great, maybe not elite, but it's eight.
They got issues this week against USC. But the good
thing for them is it's at Oregon. USC's defense is
kind of very hot and cold. So you pick up
(25:09):
that win, you obviously get your top twenty five win
and that really helps your resume and everything. But it's
just the schedule. As a schedule, it's kind of rare
for a Big Ten team like you know, Oregon. I mean,
they're only been in the league for two years. But
I just say any Big Ten team where you're just
not playing top twenty five teams on routine, and that's
because the Big Ten has has been so top heavy
this year. There's been like four teams, five teams. But
(25:34):
let's see how they perform this week, especially against an
explosive offense with a dynamic quarterback like Jade and mai
Ava for USC.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
But they're still a great team.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
One of the headlines that I saw this morning or
maybe yesterday afternoon was Dylan Royal's little brother decommitted from Nebraska.
What does that say about Dylan.
Speaker 5 (25:52):
Yeah, that's a big question I've been getting.
Speaker 8 (25:54):
I'm actually going to UH Penn State this weekend to
cover Nebraska Penn State, and my bosses are like, you
need to need to go look into that and talk
to some people.
Speaker 5 (26:05):
You know, listen Dylan.
Speaker 8 (26:07):
No matter what other people say our reporting, Dylan was
thinking about potentially leaving last year, and that kind of
surprised us. But if that goes into the thinking there,
I mean, it shows you that that's always kind of
been lingering. And you know, for the kid Dayton, his
little brother, to de commit so quickly. The only thing
(26:31):
you could look at it from a thirty thousand foot
view is, you know TJ. Latif, the freshman quarterback they
have there Nebraska that's had to come in and replace
Dylan because Dylan's injured.
Speaker 5 (26:40):
You know, he's performed pretty well.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
But I don't know why that would make Dayton all
of a sudden go, oh man, I won't be able
to play for a couple of years.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
Well, yeah, you're a freshman quarterback. You're probably not gonna
play for a couple of years.
Speaker 8 (26:52):
But maybe it leans more into what Dylan's thinking is
he's injured on the sideline, Maybe he's thinking about, I
go get more money somewhere else, something to watch, something
to monitor. Sam Levitt, Yeah, I bet he leaves Arizona State.
You know, the teams to watch out there. When we
talk about these big time quarterbacks, is going to be
like a Miami because they've done that the last two years.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
They got cam Ward and then Carson Beck.
Speaker 8 (27:17):
They're gonna throw money around trying to get a big
time quarterback this year once again. So guys like Sam Levitt,
Dylan Royola, as you just mentioned, you know, those are
the type of players you're gonna have to keep an
eye on. DJ Like where you put him in that,
I don't know, not necessarily. He has struggled so much,
(27:40):
and he would be a commodity. I don't think he'd
be one of the top two commodities out there.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
We played a game where it's like, hey, is this real?
Last week?
Speaker 5 (27:50):
And it was the.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Virginia Tech and the James Madison coach or whatever it
was getting off the plane. You're like, that's not a
real picture of him arriving. So that got pretty good
traction online, and so I want to play another version
of is it real? Because I'm not sure what to believe.
Did Lane Kevin's family really go to Knoxville and Baton
Rouge or not Knoxville, Baton Rouge and Gainesville, Sorry, yes
(28:13):
they did.
Speaker 8 (28:14):
La Layla Kiff and his ex wife was on the
plane for each trip. They went to Gainesville Sunday, they
went to Baton Rouge Monday.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
Who else was on the plane. It was some family members.
Speaker 8 (28:26):
I don't know exactly who, but yeah, confirmed, Layla Kiffin
was on that plane visiting Gainesville and visiting Baton Rouge.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
But she's the ex wife, right, Like, why does is
it like at school? I don't something that isn't doesn't
all come together?
Speaker 5 (28:42):
I believe now I don't know about this. I think
that they're kind of together again, oh potentially, and or
at least they've repaired the relationship quite a bit. It's
kind of what it has been hinted toward online on
Lane's insta the last Hey good for them, that's good.
Speaker 8 (29:02):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely absolutely, but yeah yeah, I mean. And
one of those planes to Baton Rouge for LSU was
is owned by a big time LSU booster.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
So you know, the dots are very well connected.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
It's so weird because you can hide this so easily,
even not even Booster. You can charter a plane in
nobody's name, Like and how it's because again, I do fly.
This is not a flex I'm just telling you how
I know this. I do fly private a bit, and
so it is so easy for them not to know
who is on that plane publicly if you just do
(29:36):
five minutes of work. So the fact that they're able
to know this and even that booster they want people
to know this, it's wild to me.
Speaker 8 (29:46):
Yeah, you know, in recent years it's been more difficult because,
as you said, people do that, or they'll even fly
out candidates, for example, out to like a neutral location
where it's like what yeah. So it's like even if
you're the head coach in Mississippi State and you're like
interviewing for a bigger job, no one's going, why is
that airplane leaving Columbus, Mississippi and going to to you know,
(30:09):
Roanoke when it's you know, they're they're interviewing for the
Ohio state job or something like that. You know, the
schools have started doing that more often. In fact, I
was talking to a search committee guy about a month
or so ago. He told me a funny story how
he can't remember the name of the airport. It was
a very small airport. They're bringing candidates out there for
a big job, so no one could really track them
or wonder what's going on. And it was funny because
(30:31):
they had they brought in a guy, interviewed him, and
then they had a small break, right and they're just
in a small room in this regional airport. But during
that break, the coach who interviewed for the job the
first go around ran into the coach who was coming
into interview.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
And they're like, what are you doing here? Are you
interviewing for the same job.
Speaker 8 (30:53):
So it's I would love to you know, someone one
day's probably gonna write a book about the craziest coaching
searches and stuff because all these search committee guys and uh,
these these search firms at these schools hire and the
ads they've they've got some wild stories.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Then let's speculate again just on the jobs that are
still open. Obviously, James Franklin went to Virginia Tech A
plus higher. Awesome. Love it Virginia Tech. Love the fans
of Virginia Tech. They're not annoying because they don't want
a lie. It's like, awesome, So we can take them
off the board. This doesn't you don't have to hold
onto this. Next week things change.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
L s U.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
Lane Kiffin, Florida. I would like to tell a Joe
Lane Kiffin Lake kipping Lake Kiffin's gonna coach.
Speaker 8 (31:40):
Three SEC teams next year. I don't know, but I
think LSU has the edge over Florida right now for
Lane Kiffin. And I don't know where Florida turns.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Do they go to drink? Think they go to drink?
Speaker 8 (31:53):
They'll try probably, Yeah, But Lane's been I mean, they've
been absolutely obsessed with him and trying to get him.
You know, this past couple of days, they started trying
to do interviews with secondary candidates after the Lane to
l s U rumors started bubbling up, and you know,
one of those those interviews was canceled, reportedly with Tulane's
(32:15):
coach John Summers saw that. But yeah, I think Eli's
name is one that will pop up there if the
Lane situation gets dicey Arkansas.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Eric Morris, Yeah, I feel like the the.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
He looks so you look so unimpressed.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
No, I'm not, I'm not. I will I will be
I will be fine with whomever, whomever. I don't it's
not that I don't care. I don't. I'm not caring,
but I don't not care.
Speaker 8 (32:59):
So what you're saying is that you're just setting your
expectations at the bottom of the floor so you can
be surprised and impressed.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
I'm just going to support whomever it is. Yeah, I'm
just gonna say it doesn't matter. This is a weird situation.
And I have mentioned before I've flown too close to
the sun at times, and I've not liked people my
favorite thing in the whole world, and so I don't
like that. So I'm not involved. Theydn't ask me to
be involved. However, how I've been involved is I've had
(33:25):
now three coaches reach out to me that I've interviewed,
and so.
Speaker 8 (33:28):
Yeah, yeah, listen, you know, Bobby, there's been like twenty yeah,
at least twenty coaches of interviewed for this thing.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
So I don't want to get excited about anybody I've
talked to. I didn't give anybody, so it's just like,
whatever happens happens. I'm I don't have a relationship with
any of these guys. Really, some might know more than others.
But the one thing that concerns me, and I don't
even want to say concern because it's going to feel negative. Right,
I'm hearing, and you can please God, tell me I'm wrong,
(33:58):
because you have had so many sources. I'm now starting
to hear an actual legitimate John Gruden, not that he's
going to be it, but that he's actually possibly in play.
That would be the one I don't want.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
I have not heard that, but that doesn't mean it's
not true.
Speaker 8 (34:21):
It's just among all the industry guys I talked to,
that's a name that has not come up at all
in any of the conversations I've had.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
If I had a button that had the Hell Lou chorus,
I'd hit it right now.
Speaker 8 (34:37):
So it just doesn't make sense on a lot of levels. Man,
I don't know why you would entertain that at this point.
You really shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
It will be crazy is ole miss like they're gonna
take the most because that job. Lane made that job good.
If that job opens up, it's gonna be the bottom
drops out of who they can get. It's not like
they automatically can get a great coach because they had Lank.
They're just a mid SEC team, right, Unless they're just
dedicating all this money. They're like, we have this money,
We're dedicating the money.
Speaker 8 (35:07):
Now they've got they would have some coaches very interested
in it. I'm trying to think what I could say.
They're prepared, and I think they've already got a couple
of coaches in mind, and I think either of those
type of hires would be very, very good. The problem, though,
(35:29):
is that when they take that job, if they do,
the fans that are going to immediately think you have
to win ten games next year, and that's going to
be unfair because the roster's gonna turn over. It's gonna
be different. The good thing for Old Miss though, on
that job now, is there nil program. The support system
there is phenomenal. It's awesome, and that's part of the
reason why Lane's been successful because they mean able to
(35:50):
draw in that talent in addition to Lane's coaching obviously,
but that place is going to be so disappointed in
the next coach if they don't win ten games next
and that's just unfair, and that's something some of these
coaches don't have to weigh. But they've got a couple
of names of mind, and I'm telling you both of
those names would be very interested in taking the job,
and they would be good hires.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Would it be weird if Dan Mullen took that job.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
Oh, God, that would be nuts, and he wouldn't do it.
Speaker 8 (36:21):
I don't think really because yeah, because you you know,
someone put out there that he was interested in the
Arkansas job, and I could have told you in July
that was not the case. There's certain SEC jobs, Like
even if he did so well you and OV his
name started popping up in big name coach coaching searches,
there's certain jobs in the SEC he just doesn't have
(36:42):
no interest in. One of them was Arkansas at the time,
and when I talked to him in July, and I
just don't see how he would do all miss You
cannot ruin your legacy at a school at Mississippi State
where you were number one in the country for several weeks,
you had Dak Prescott, you won all these games, did
things that have never been done in Mississippi State, just
to go get back in the.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
SEC for the heck of it. He would have no
interest in that.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
My final question, do you think Gus Malson ends up
being a head coach after this little the circuit, this carousel.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Probably not. I you know, I'm very close to Gus,
you know.
Speaker 8 (37:18):
I I think if like they got down the list
at Arkansas and like they're like, we got to hire
Gus Maleson or whatever because he's like fifth and.
Speaker 5 (37:26):
Sixth on the list.
Speaker 8 (37:27):
I know everybody it would be a negative viewpoint because
he's turned down the job twice before, and you know,
he's obviously quote unquote not what he was he was
at Auburn then UCF. Now he's an offensive coordinat a
Florida State, which you know, by the way, they have
a top five offense. But I almost think that it
would be one of those hires if something like that
(37:48):
were to happen, that everybody'd be like, Oh, this sucks,
And then two years later we're looking back, going, this
is probably the best thing that could have happened to us,
because we've got a guy that understands the state, understands everything,
is obsessed with getting this thing back off of the
floor and has us back.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
In bowl games and building towards the future.
Speaker 8 (38:07):
And we've got top fifteen recruiting classes on a steady
pace for the first time in a long time, if
not ever, and is building this thing up the right way.
That's what he's done everywhere at UCF, he had the
best recruiting classes they've ever had. In their history there Auburn,
same exact thing, best recruiting classes they've really ever ever had,
(38:30):
and he's.
Speaker 5 (38:30):
Just a phenomenal coach.
Speaker 8 (38:32):
And I think if you put him back in his
home state and he's near the end of his career
now and he feels like he has so much more
to prove, I think that could be a really great thing.
But I just don't know if he's a serious candidate
at Arkansas. And as I said, I'm saying that more
or less it's like one of his friends, and you know,
(38:54):
and because the Arkansas search is so close to me
and I'm so concerned about it and how much of
a mess it's turned into that as much as we
sit here and go man, there could be some like
Hires made you go oh no, But like if it
got down far enough to listen it was like someone
like that, I think it had to have a bad response,
but I think it would actually work out in the
(39:14):
short term.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
I would like us to be the head coach, and
I don't know that's not the popular sentiment amongst Twitter.
Yeah it's on Twitter. I think this would be a
great head coach for us because he would care and
I think he's good, and I think both of those
things matter.
Speaker 8 (39:26):
Yeah, I mean, this is a guy that I think
has I need to go back and look. I remember
writing about when I was a beat right at Alburn.
This guy has one losing season in his entire career
or two losing seasons in his entire career dating back
to the early nineties when he was a high school coach,
(39:46):
and one of those losing seasons was his first year
as a high school coach in Tiny Hughes, Arkansas. And
then the other year I think was UCF's first year
in the Big Twelve when they were transitioning to the
Big twelve. He's had a winning season every year other
than that, I'd be pro.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
There is Brandon Marcelo on Instagram. Brandon Marcelo, good to
talk to you. That's fun. The Penn State thing, that's fun.
You wanted to Penn State. That'd be a cool, coolumb
even if they suck, that's still cool.
Speaker 5 (40:14):
Yeah. I've always wanted to go, never been.
Speaker 8 (40:16):
I wanted to go there for the wide out this
year didn't happen, but hopefully the fans are still showing up.
I'm sure they are because the Penn State fans are incredible.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
All right, there is Brandon Marcelo. Brandon.
Speaker 5 (40:24):
Good to talk to you, buddy, all right, see you, Bobby.

Hey, I was thinking the Cowboys might make the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
There we go. Are you thinking the Cowboys might be
the Eagles?
Speaker 1 (42:00):
I think if the Cowboys beat the Eagles, I think, dude,
they're so fun to watch. Offensively, Yeah, they're so fake. Yeah, dude,
it's pickets and seedee lamb.
Speaker 4 (42:09):
Did you see not to cut you off? Did you
see why they were possibly? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (42:14):
But I don't I don't know if that's to go.
I don't know if that's accurate. If what they went
out they were the casino, Oh, I know, what's the.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Untill seven am? They were in Vegas playing the Raiders
and people were saying they were out all night gambling.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
That's the rumor.
Speaker 6 (42:29):
The tracks.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
I don't know that it's true that track.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
So you know that they didn't play the first drive?
Speaker 1 (42:33):
Yeah, I saw that. I saw it was a funny picture.
They're just standing in the side. They were side each other. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
Yeah, the visual was hilaiir They look like two little
kids in trouble.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
The Cowboys they're so fun and I think, what Dak's
twenty one and six, twenty one touchdown, six interceptions. Yeah,
they're so fun to watch. Offensively, yes, and defensively there.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
They made moves, dude, Iran, I don't know. It's I
know they made moves. It's hard to say. Because we
beat the Raiders.
Speaker 5 (43:01):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
And we stopped the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
You beat who was in front of you. That Cardinals
loss sucks for you so bad, but I can't look back.
I think if the Cowboys beat the Eagles, I think
it's fun for you again.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
I'm with you, baby, I'm with you.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
Probably second best team in the NFL, so that's it's
not like it's an easy blow. The Colts, no blow
the Rams.
Speaker 5 (43:25):
I know. I was joking.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Yeah, Colts, So I have them number six of my
power rankings.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Do you do you have like you write down power
rankings like we did.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
It, and lots to say I do it every week?
Speaker 4 (43:34):
Got it?
Speaker 3 (43:34):
Got it?
Speaker 9 (43:34):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (43:35):
I had Rams at one, Eagles at two, Broncos at three,
Chiefs at four, at five and five, and everybody flipped
their crap because I had it, because they're there five
and five, and I'm like, I still believe. I still believe.
Speaker 3 (43:46):
In homes, I had to use a restroom like in
the house, and like, I think somebody was using my
like the one in my room. So I went to
my son's room to use his restroom, and I saw
these papers, like what's this dude? Right mean, like in
the bathroom, all power rankings every week of NFL every week.
Speaker 4 (44:08):
You should bring his in, Okay, I will his latest version.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
He was pretty embarrassed when I, well, they don't bring him.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
I'll ask him. I'll ask Yeah, that would be fun.
We'll read them.
Speaker 3 (44:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
Bill's at Texans tonight. So Bill's minus five and a
half at the Texans. This is a game the Bills
need to win to just stay with the Patriots.
Speaker 6 (44:30):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
With us, they should I like the game, though, Thursday
night games have become way better than Monday night Gameshoy,
last week, that's kind of been the flip you have
the game, but it was I know, I.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Know you see it on paper Cowboys Raiders, Like, why
are we watching this? I get it.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
Yeah, the Thursday night games used to be sucked, yes,
and Monday night was good. Now it's it's Thursday night's
been good. Monday n's kind of sucked.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
Do you like herb Street NFL.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
He's like he's like a comfortable pillow. Yeah, Like it
doesn't matter what he's doing. It's I don't ever go.
Speaker 3 (45:03):
I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
I don't think I ever go. Man, this guy's nailing it.
Like at times Romo can be super dynamic because he's
predicting stuff, or even Tom Brady's doing that a little
bit now, and I know they've kind of cautioned them
from doing that in general, but those two because they've
played him, because they'll kind of put their neck out
when they hit. You're like like they know what they're
talking about. You don't get that with her trip that's
(45:26):
not a thing, but actually always makes me feel good,
Like it's just like I'm a buddy up there, Like
who's knowledgeable and feels warm and and I feel like.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
They're both so relaxed, maybe because they're on Prime and
they feel like they can just kind of go's on
a live stream. Yeah yeah that cares. Yeah, like I
think al Michael says him like that sucks.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
As does get more crotchety later the game and later
in the season.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Oh yeah time.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
Yeah, he doesn't care. He's like, I'm just doing this
for fun.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
Yeah. Yeah, that's a little bs, I think.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
So, yeah, that's a good game. I think the Titans
should just call it.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Oh throw the towel.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
He's like, Hey, we're gonna go ahead and go home
and just start building back toward next year. So all
double us and for everybody who plays. But we're good though,
we want to try to stay healthy and any Tights
should just call it.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
I think they should keep playing so we can go
to the games for ten dollars a pop.
Speaker 4 (46:14):
You can go this weekend.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
It's cold though, dude, it's cold. I drive by sometimes
when that when a game is going on and it's
cold outside and there's nobody there, right, and I'm like,
who would go when the Titans suck and it's freezing?
But the next stadium is going to be domed?
Speaker 6 (46:28):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (46:30):
H is it domed?
Speaker 5 (46:31):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 3 (46:31):
Yeah it looked open.
Speaker 4 (46:32):
Yeah, it might be like retractable, but it's definitely don't.
Speaker 5 (46:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
Game of the week in the NFL Culture Chiefs, Yeah, gos.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
Who would have thought? Who would have thought that that
was gonna be a game of the week both ways?
Speaker 1 (46:44):
Who would have thought the cult would be good? And
who would have thought the Chiefs? Although my number four
overall team in the NFL at five and five would.
Speaker 4 (46:50):
Be Indigo Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Yes, they have to they have to end. Yeah, they
can lose two more games the whole year and this
shouldn't be one of them. So, yeah, that's a fun game.
But who who do you think can win the Super Bowl?
Who can win the Super Bowl? So I'll say the
team you tell me yes or no? Okay, now that
they will or you're betting on it? But who can't
(47:12):
they can? The Bills yes, okay, cool? The Texans? No,
I agree, Steelers, no Bears, no Giants, no Lions.
Speaker 6 (47:23):
Yes, no, you're gonna go.
Speaker 4 (47:26):
No, I'm gonna go.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
No.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
Why?
Speaker 4 (47:28):
I think they're too inconsistent. I think it'll come back
if they're not playing at home in that dome. Then
I think they're in trouble.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
They are like five hundred away and like almost undefeated
at home at home. Right, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go.
No as well, Patriots, Yes, no, yeah, No, I think
the MVP. I think their ceiling is probably their ceiling
(47:58):
is AFC Championship. I think they could win a playoff game,
and that's that's massive.
Speaker 5 (48:04):
Yeah. I know.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
I've tried to like get there mentally. Do you really
think though, Like, yeah, I get there. But now I'm
remember the beginning of the season. I was like, if
they win eight games, nine games, I'll be happy. They've
already done that. If they go to the playoffs, I'll
be happy. If they want a plaoff game, holy crap.
And like, now, Mike, what get.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
Beangals? No, Hey, Burrows not coming back this week.
Speaker 4 (48:25):
Nobody is a full practice. Yeah he could, I guess technically,
but I don't think he is.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
But Jamar Chase is out, yes, for spitting.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Idiot classic and he's not my fantasy team.
Speaker 6 (48:40):
I know, guys, he didn't do it.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
He did, but the thing is he didn't spin the
face mask he didn't like on the Jersey on the chest.
Speaker 4 (48:49):
I was happy to see that that.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Was probably gravity. He was probably aiming for the face
masks and the gravity heavy spit man.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
Okay, Vikings, no Packer, I'm gonna go. Yes, No, I
think they can, know they can out. I don't trust
you either. You just don't want them to win because
of our money league. I granted they're not playing at
that level right this second, but I do think they can.
They can. I think they're the floor of the teams
(49:19):
that can. I can. Okay, I can be stupid.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
The Seahawks, Yes, Sam Darnell, he's not gonna take them
the Super Bowl. He's good, But then you saw this week.
I mean he didn't look good this week, right, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
So it's also the Rams.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
Well, then when you go to Super Bowl, you play
a hard team.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
Yeah, you make great point. So that's but you didn't
make great point there. Colts No, I like the culture
the Colts, but no Chiefs. Yes, always Jets. Ravens no,
h oh. See. At the beginning of the year, I
(50:03):
picked Packers and Ravens, and things have changed so much
for the Ravens, but they're obviously still in the mix.
They're going to win their division. They're going to get
a top four playoffs. See, they're not going to get
the buy obviously because they're not going to be number
one in the AFC. But yeah they can now. But
Lamar are the same thing, not the same. He's not
(50:24):
the same as Sam Donald. But we've seen enough Lamar
in playoffs where he hasn't won the way we've seen
Sam Donald recently not be able to win big games.
Totally different, but I'm saying you could use that logic,
but I eventually he's so good. Eventually that has to
not happen to them. I'm gonna go yes, Browns no
for sure, Yes, yes, Raiders no, No Jags, No, No Cardinals, No,
(50:48):
no Eagles. Yeah, I guess Cowboys. No.
Speaker 6 (50:53):
If they beat the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
And the Thanksgiving they beat the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
Thing, you'll have to be torn. Then I know you won't.
You'll root for the Cowboys.
Speaker 7 (51:04):
I will.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
But if they lose, even said, I'll be like, Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
We have cheating the money League Falcons no Saint, it's
no Bucks.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
Oh yeah I think they can.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
I don't. I think they're good, but I think their
ceiling is probably ceiling is get to the NSC champion.
Speaker 3 (51:22):
Who are they? Who are they missing?
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Like?
Speaker 3 (51:24):
Is Godwin?
Speaker 6 (51:25):
He had done?
Speaker 1 (51:26):
They rotate injuries. It's like a carousel, like one gets
one in, one out like a club. All right, they
get a clicker.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
One in and then Mike Evans is done. Right, he's done.
Speaker 4 (51:36):
He broke his collar bone. He'll be back for this
for the season. Yeah, for at the end of the year.
Speaker 1 (51:41):
Okay and Rams, yes, right yeah, Panthers no, not super.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
Bowl now forty nine ers, I'm gonna always can't count.
Speaker 1 (51:51):
I mean, if it works out Rock Party, I thank
god he played well?
Speaker 4 (51:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (51:55):
Had he not?
Speaker 3 (51:57):
That's it?
Speaker 1 (51:58):
Know, we had some drama there. They win with James,
but then they don't win with Rock Purty. Kevin, you
still have the odds for the we're national championship.
Speaker 4 (52:09):
Yeah, somewhere are you gonna I'll do it now.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
I wish I had money in my account to do it.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
I'd tell you she had money.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
I tell you what, I tell you what, man, Hey,
if I have a good weekend, I'll run with you
on that bet.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
I don't have it because again, as I mentioned to
Brandon Marcelo, I was really leaning towards tech.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
I'm with him on that. Like there have just been
games from like they they should have scored more, got.
Speaker 4 (52:34):
In front of me.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
But also they're not playing great teams, right, And a
lot of times you play up or down to your
competition you shouldn't.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
But they, yeah, you're right, you do. That's sports psychology
for some weird Tell me more about that, doctor. I
just tell my son that too, like when kids do
that all the time, Like when you play bad teams,
you guys play worse. I don't understand sports, so I
tell them, yeah, all right, I'm in. All right, So
we're gonna go over or on DraftKings, we're gonna go
over to futures.
Speaker 1 (53:04):
Ohio States plus Ohio States plus one seventy five. I'm
not betting them. I don't know. I do know Indiana
is number two when they put out the pole. I
don't know that Indiana though, if I'm lining it up,
is the second is the team I would think would
be in the championship game against Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
You would think, George, is it the brand or the actual.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
Team brands affecting me? The brands affected me for sure. Yeah,
But there's a big gap between one and two, which
is Ohio State plus one seventy five Indiana plus five hundred.
So that would mean just the easy way to break
this down for everybody. If it's plus one seventy five,
if I bet one hundred dollars, I'm gonna make one
seventy one hundred and seventy five dollars. If I bet
(53:44):
one hundred bucks, Indiana's plus five hundred, I'll make five
hundred bucks. So that's the rudimentary way. It's correct, right,
I'm doing that right, Yeah, yeah, because if it's minus
but let's say it's minus one twenty, it's gonna take
one twenty to make a hundred. It's a slightly different,
but we're not talking about that. Yes, Texas A and
M's plus seven fifty, a little bit of the brand
(54:06):
of Texas A and M. They just lose late. They haven't,
but they almost they almost got hit with their own
brand against South Carolina.
Speaker 4 (54:13):
Yeah, does that make you feel better that they came
back or no?
Speaker 1 (54:16):
Just yeah, I think everybody needs to be yeah, yeah, yea,
yeah it does. It's just like Indiana when they beat
Penn State. It made me actually feel better about them
as a team. Because there's a point in every season
every good team gets pressed by somebody they didn't quite
expect to get pressed by, like we're talking about like Eddie.
Doctor Eddie says with the kid, the psychology of it. Sure,
so yeah, it did make me feel better.
Speaker 4 (54:35):
I still don't know about Marcel Reid, Like sometimes I
watch him like this guy's awesome, and then sometimes he
plays the first half like he did last week, and
it's like those three picks or whatever it was.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
If I have Georgia and I bet a thousand bucks.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
Whoa when it's plus a thousand, it's it's.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
An eleven thousand dollars payoff.
Speaker 6 (54:52):
Yeah, talking, well, man, that'd be nice.
Speaker 4 (54:59):
What stop you from thinking that they could win anything?
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Because my instinct was I think I'm gonna roll with Tech.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Yeah, but your wallet says, I think your biggest competitor
there is just Ohio State, not Tech.
Speaker 5 (55:13):
I know.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
Well, it's all how the bracket lines up. True, all right,
I'm going in Georgia.
Speaker 5 (55:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (55:21):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
My bank sends me a message sometimes like are you sure?
And then I'm like, likes somebody a b bank wondering
one if I'm sure I'm betting that much money? Or
am I or somebody going like I don't think George
is the player.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Are you sure, Ohio State fan. I wouldn't do that.
Speaker 4 (55:40):
I'm gonna do that with you. Ten bucks?
Speaker 1 (55:42):
Yeah, same. You know you guys don't have ride with me.
Speaker 9 (55:45):
No, but I like it.
Speaker 4 (55:46):
I mean for the odds.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Yeah, I'll ride with you.
Speaker 9 (55:48):
I feel like.
Speaker 1 (55:49):
Plus a thousand, Yeah it's really good. Yeah, okay, please
wait while we process your request.
Speaker 3 (55:56):
Plus one thousand is ten ten times.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
Yeah, I could win eleven thousand.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
Not you, Bobby.
Speaker 4 (56:06):
We could win one hundred bucks.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
You don't want to bet one thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
Brandon, all right, I got a future and I put
a thousand on Georgia to win eleven thousand. Okay, there's that, Mike.
How are you feeling about Texas?
Speaker 6 (56:19):
I feel good about it.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
When Brandon says something like, hey, you're not making.
Speaker 6 (56:21):
The playoff, yeah, I don't see that happening.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
You do even if you beat Texas A and now.
Speaker 6 (56:26):
I don't see that happening because do you think.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
You'll be Texas A and m that's the last game
of the year.
Speaker 5 (56:33):
I really don't think so.
Speaker 6 (56:34):
I think that's where we die.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
Not this weekend is a four loss Texas team to
you as a Texas fan is that's severely disappointed.
Speaker 6 (56:42):
It's very disappointing coming into this season number one, all
the expectations. That's like, it's bad, that's not fair.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
But you haven't lost four. By the way, you're at three.
It's three disappointing if it ends three, but no playoff.
Speaker 4 (56:55):
Three is not as disappointing. Four is disappointing, but no
playoffs got to be disappointing.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Yeah, but it's not fair because you people just voted
you number one before they even saw you snap a ball,
and then all of a sudden, you're supposed to go
down from there. Unless you're gonna be awesome, unless you're perfect,
you're gonna go down from there.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
But to be number one. They don't just vote because
they liked letter t ex A and S. They watched
the players last year play perform based on the players
that were coming back, the players that were coming There
is a reason.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
Oh I thought it was all just arch. It just
drew arch part of it, Like I think that was
the main part of it.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
Yeah. Yeah, there's no line on the Texas A and
M Sandford game because oh.
Speaker 3 (57:35):
They can't go that high.
Speaker 1 (57:36):
Yeah, what are they do. Now, why are they given
Georgia forty three and a half versus Charlotte. They're doing
no line on Texas A and M Charlotte good or something.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
I mean Sanford, I've never seen Sandford play football.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
There's two no lines. There's that one, and there's the
Alabama Eastern Illinois game.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
I bet you a line shows up on Saturday morning
or maybe Friday night.
Speaker 1 (57:54):
Yeah, it's crazy, there's no line, no line. And then
the Georgia Charlotte game is forty three and a half, Like,
how do you even find a forty three and a
half line? Like what math probability are you doing to
get to forty three and a half. There's the Notre
Dame Syracuse game, which is minus thirty five and a
half for Notre Dame.
Speaker 6 (58:06):
That's big.
Speaker 3 (58:09):
Oh and I found out that Charlotte that the forty
nine ers, not the Bobcats.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
You're thinking of the basketball team.
Speaker 3 (58:15):
No, I was thinking of Ohio Bobcats.
Speaker 1 (58:18):
Well, Charlotte was the Bobcats so too before they went
back to the Hornets NBA.
Speaker 3 (58:21):
Oh that's right, I forgot about that.
Speaker 1 (58:23):
Yeah, terrible yours. Yeah, yeah, Ohio State's thirty one and
a half point favorites over Rutgers. So all right, that's it,
We're done.
Speaker 3 (58:32):
Oh I got a question. Yeah, I saw that the
Nutcrackers coming into town.
Speaker 6 (58:36):
Is Kevin going, oh is it really?
Speaker 3 (58:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (58:39):
What?
Speaker 4 (58:39):
You gotta send me the info?
Speaker 3 (58:41):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (58:41):
Right, I just I got to make sure the Patriots
are playing before I buy it. All right?
Speaker 5 (58:45):
All right?
Speaker 1 (58:46):
And since you did mention a production with singing dancing,
Brandon would like to drag your wife for any reason before.
Speaker 3 (58:51):
We get yes?
Speaker 1 (58:54):
Oh man, that one time she got hooked on.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
Yeah, okay, it's a terrible time.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
Eddie's coming over to where a Superman costume and cook
my wife and I tonight.
Speaker 4 (59:06):
Bringing the salsa.
Speaker 3 (59:07):
Yeah, yeah, he told me salsa.
Speaker 4 (59:10):
That's also good.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (59:12):
Do I have to uh?
Speaker 3 (59:13):
I cook the fatas with butter. You do have to
leave that out.
Speaker 1 (59:17):
You need to ask Caitlin.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
But for you, you're the butter. You're the butter.
Speaker 1 (59:20):
I can't really eat butter, right, but I do. I've
been running lact aid a bit and I find it
kind of helps.
Speaker 3 (59:28):
So how many lactaises are you popping?
Speaker 1 (59:32):
If it's very light, I'll do two. If it's anything
more nine, well, I snorted them quite the jump right
out the table. I'm doing one in the butthole, one
and through the throat and always it gets in the bloodstream.
How do you put butter in them?
Speaker 3 (59:51):
And I cook? I cooked them in butter once that
once they're once, they're sliced, sautam and butter.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
I don't want any vegetables. I hate vegetables.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
I know you don't like onions in the bell peppers.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
Can you do fake cheese?
Speaker 3 (01:00:02):
You want to buy fake cheese?
Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Well, fake as the world. They've been using in my
house a lot of And may be wrong about this,
but like I don't. Is there something almond cheese?
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
I've seen something like almond cheese, cashew cheese.
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
We've had some both. Could you just investigate that.
Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
What do you want almond or cash?
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Which one's more cheesy?
Speaker 6 (01:00:20):
Mike, I'd say almonds a little creamier, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
I'd like some almond cheese please.
Speaker 3 (01:00:24):
Almond cheese, yeah, all right?
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
And I would say go with the butter. I'll just
eat la like tape.
Speaker 6 (01:00:28):
The cash you probably melts a little better.
Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Mixture.
Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Uh, let's go with the almond.
Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
How about just take one more lack tan and we'll
do regular cheese if.
Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
You see you one kind of funny that it's still
up there. It hasn't fully yeah disol yeah yeah yeah yeah,
all right, so we're doing that today.
Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
Nice. I gotta see some pictures, yea videos.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
It's hard to get the camera into to show that
they want to put it in. I have to bend over.
Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
That's what you want to go?
Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
You got any there for it?
Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
Be all right?
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
