Podcast call twenty five wists Stuck in football and they
aware room whist So yeah, it's too bad, but what
did you expect. It's a podcast call twenty five whistles
twenty wine.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Hey, welcome to the show, Eddie Bowl to whistle right, Welcome, Welcome.
I'll talk about spitting for a second, which there was
a player ejected, the Oregon player was ejected this last week.
But spitting's interesting though, because how do you know like
you're not just like talking, you have a loogi aggressive late, Well,
lugi is different. Yeah, that hot two going Yeah, and

(01:53):
it was a big It is a big spit and
the referee saw the spit. But I bet there's a
lot of spitting going on that you can't really tell
the difference, especially in close. If you're gonna spit on somebody,
you need to make sure your helmets are already really
close together so it's not seen in between helmets. That's
what I adviuse my players not to not spit.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, but can't you tell the ref like, look, look
it's on my face. He spit on me, and then
you show him where he spit on your face.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
You'd be such a loser to tattletale. I wouldn't want
anybody to spit on anybody, but it does happen a lot.
But the kid that was kicked off because he was
an Oregon player, Yeah, wide receiver. He spit from too
far away, and the trajectory of the spit was so
hard that obviously it was purposeful spit. You got it.

(02:39):
Your helmets have to be close to each other, no
hang time, Yes, spit, there should be no gap, Like
if you're gonna spit, first of all, don't spit.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
But you're saying, if you're gonna spit, don't get busted,
And that's.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
How not to get busted. You're from me to you, ediot,
don't no, that's too that's too far away. You would
know I'd purposefully spit on you. Yes, and if you
spit on someone purposefully, you should be kicked out. Now,
it's really hard to know if someone spit on someone
purposefully unless they're far and there's heavy projection and it

(03:10):
was so this was an easy one. No, but what
you do as you walk up closer to them talk crab.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
And spit and the guy had a visor that didn't help.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah, but again, you can spit on somebody even if
you don't mean to, and there s will be a
lot of spit on them.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Right, it's a hard one to call. It's a judgment call.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
And to spit me like through a face mask is
pretty impressive.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Not really, because if you just spit it's gonna go throughed.
He never wore a face mask, That's not true. I
wore a face mask in like nineth.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I played football.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
No, if you spit anybody.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
No, I never did. Man, I was respectful in the game.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Some of it's gonna it's hard to spit on from
the sideline and other people. I was on the bench, man,
know what you're saying standing on the sideline.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Yeah, they wouldn't let me sit and nobody because he sat,
you had to play to sit.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
So nobody sat. It didn't matter.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yeah, you come off the field, you sit.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
No, you never, almost never.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Sometimes the lineman to sit down and get you coached up,
and that's it.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yeah. Yeah, but it's not like basketball, where you sit.
There's no you come off the side and you take
a seat.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
One time, I was just tired of standing, and I
got a water ball and I sat, and the coach
saw me.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
He's like, you haven't even played.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Get you understandable? But I would say mostly unless yeah,
unless you're sitting, you're a little bit hurt, or you're
getting coached, and everybody said you don't sit, you still stand.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
I think about that when I watch like NFL games
now and they just throw a hat and sit on
the bench, I'm like, dang, like I never got to
do that.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Well, we don't make millions of dollars in high school, though,
you don't just go sit on down.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
No.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
You know what else I thought about the spitting thing
was like he was so mad that he walked in
the tunnel when he got ejected and through his helmet.
And after talking to so many athletes that you know,
maybe not college level, but the pro guys have to buy.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Their own helmets.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
So now when I see a pro athlete throw their helmet,
I'm like, that is commitment because you're gonna have to
pay for that now.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
And if you broke it, buy a new one.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Point I think you might get one or two free.
Fix the first ones, yeah, because if you break it,
obviously they might make you buy a new one because
you're using it to perform for what they're paying you
to do. There's something about that. Jerseys are different unless
it's like, as I ripped your jersey, you'll get a

(05:26):
new jersey. Yeah, but if you give it away, yeah,
give it away and give it away, give it away now. Yeah,
so there are roles on that, but yeah, college, I'll
just give you a new one.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Side note, did you guys see who walked them out
into the tunnel?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah? Who was that?

Speaker 5 (05:40):
That's our guy.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
That was our guy, our guy that gave us the
escort around.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
They did not hire prostitute. We did not go to
Oregon and hire a prostitute. Regardless. Boy you heard on
this show.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
You just walked us around.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
He escorted us into the tunnel too.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yeah, it's like you know, oh yeah, to ask for
walking them down.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Could have been a guy, though, it's truly good. Uh yeah,
the spitting things, it's the most disrespectful thing you can do.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
That's why people do it.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
There's nothing more disrespectful than spitting, on instance, in someone's face.
But if you're going to do it, you can't do
it from so far away because you will be seeing.
You'll be thrown out it. It's so dumb to do that.
It's like getting in a fight and pulling your helet off.
If you had to get a fight on the field,
keep your hemet on, Yeah, because now you have vulnerability
your head.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah, yeah, that's what's up. Are you a spinner? No?
I would never spin anybody.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
No, Just just like, are you a guy that just
kind of walks around with spitting on the ground and stuff?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Maybe not walk around doing it, but sometimes I have
bad allergy, so I think I do that sometimes where
it's just like I don't tell what it sounds like.
That's much cool.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Because one of my boys he just likes to spit,
you know, like we go to a hotel and there's
a balcony. First thing he does like I want to
spit off the balcony. Liked stop to stop that. It's gross.
So Beavis and Butt heead right, yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Yeah, but up up high like that. That's cool.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
You got to watch it go down? Yeah yeah, or
like if you have seeds or yeah you chew, dip,
any of that stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
One of my kids are little. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I'm saying other reasons that they don't have it, because
that would be those, but just generally spitting. I kind
of like my slavic. He's my mouth. You needed, you know,
make you talk. That was the first little thing there.
Number two was I saw our boy Kevin here, kick
off Kevin new personal record. Let's go Eddie. Are you
see a social media? Oh?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Did you say something?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
No? I don't. Don't let him walk into it. You
say something? Is this the orange theory one? Did you
see a social media?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
No?

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I do not. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
You could have just said that, do you follow me?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Is that? I don't know?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Any what if you didn't, I really don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Maybe the funny no, I need to look he does.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
I may not he does.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
That would make my day if you didn't know. He don't. Honestly,
I don't. I can't think of one of his posts.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
So you literally came in like two weeks ago and
you said something about a post that I did. You're like, oh,
I saw you were here here and I'm like so yeah, yeah,
don't don't act like you No, No, it's the family.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
It's the family dog that I saw. Man.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Yeah, that was gonna make my day.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
If you didn't follow, Kevin, I follow just because, like
by accident, if you didn't follow, because it's not like
you don't love them.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
We all love them. What is it?

Speaker 1 (08:16):
What's this new? Pr Well, you ran a mile in
five minutes thirteen seconds.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Let's go, oh that's fast.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Why were you running a mile?

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Though?

Speaker 5 (08:24):
They have a test. It's like they do different tests
each month. Sorry, Orange theory. So Orange Theory does a
test each month, like different kind of stuff. And this
month is the mile test. So you try to ride
a mile and as fast as you can. And that's
what I did. But the kicker is I already did
it once. So I was doing it once. I was
mentally preparing myself all week. This is what I'm gonna do.

(08:44):
This what I'm gonna get. I got the point eight six,
I'm moving point eight six treadmill. Point Oh you did
it on a tread and treadmill. Yeah, yah, it's different.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I know. No, no, no, I wasn't saying good or
bad all the way. I'm just picturing you running around. Try.
I was gonna ask your splits, but never mind, go ahead. No. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
So I was on a treadmill and as I'm running
the first time, I can smell something burning, and I'm like,
I hope that's not this treadmill. I just keep going,
keep going, keep going. Point eight six.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Run so fast burn the treadmill shut it down on me.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
Turn black, shut off completely. So I had to wait
while everyone else finished theirs, and I was like, dang,
do I do this tomorrow? And do I?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I was.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
I was pissed off because, like I said, I'd been
building up all week and I did it again. Still
got five thirteen, which I'm very very happy.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
That's fast man.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Yeah, possibly even faster than what I originally would have been.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Yeah. The thing. The good thing was it gave me
the confidence that I knew the speed I could get
to and try to maintain that for the second time.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
So you're right, the whole time into point eighty six.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
No, so point eight six was a distance where it
shut down.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I ran and I started at like a you were
like at the home stretch before yea, an eight point second?
Still fast.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Maybe that's why I started at eleven point two miles
per hour and then worked up to like eleven six
halfway through and then did twelve five like the final
point three of the mile.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Dang, that's pretty that's good. Congratulations, very fast time.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Did you know that he is the athlete of the
month at Orange?

Speaker 5 (10:08):
You don't follow me?

Speaker 1 (10:10):
I did not. It was not my newsletter.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Yeah, man athlete of the month, So what does that mean?
I don't know what does that mean?

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
They just made it a social post and they're like,
you're gonna be a member of the month, And I
was like, all right, remember the member of it made
it sound like you want to I know. That sounded cool.
That's why I wasn't gonna say anything.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
Hey, Mike, yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
You could probably be Kevin in a mile.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
Huh on a treadmill?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Why why not on a I try?

Speaker 6 (10:34):
I feel like you can run faster in a treadmill,
like set it to the right speed and then you
like start immediately. For me, it takes me a little
longer to get going, so I feel like they gotta.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Take Mike d though on a mile either way you.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
Would How fast do you think you can get?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
It doesn't matter like the bed?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
You want to do that? Right?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
No?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Wait?

Speaker 5 (10:51):
Did you what did you say?

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I take the bed, my boy, Mike, don't matter which
one try meil you want.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
I think Mike can get you me.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, I'm not racing.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Oh I thought you're gonna race Mike.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I'm not racing anybody.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Okay. I was like, I'll take that bet.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
I'm more of a you know, you ever see squad
games as the rich people are the ones watching everybody die.
I'm more of that guy. Now.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
I thought you just said you take Mike and them?

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Like, I think he puts some units down.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Got Cheah over Kevin?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yes? Oh, Eddie, who would you take?

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Let me think about this. Kevin's a little and Kevin's
just starting. I feel Mike's been running for a long
he was athlete of the week, ye member of the month.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
I'm gonna go Mike. I think his lungs are stronger.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
But it's only one mile.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
Yeah, twenty miles absolutely, and everybody.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Would run against Mike fifteen miles.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
No treadmill, right, either way.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
I think Mike could also take him on the track,
which Mike doesn't seem as confident in. But I think
Mike could take him on the track too.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
All right, why are we doing this?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Who did you pick the same person? Oh? Mike, Mike,
That's who I picked.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Okay, So now now Reid and Casey can go against
us or not.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I don't know. Kevin's got some long legs. Okay, that's
what I'm talking about.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
Thank you, Red, Mike.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
We believe in you. That being said, I think if
we were to run, because someone had asked me a question,
who could run the fastest one hundred out of all
of us? Yeah, out of even the big show, And
I think the fastest hundred is me. I think I
could out right, You're not.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
You'd have me on the first twenty, and then after
that I would beat you.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
I'm stronger, but I'm stronger like forty to seventy than.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
I would get those I would get those long strides in.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
I just think I could beat you.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Uh, I might go Kevin the mountain a mile.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
I think I could probably beat you in a mile,
but I don't think I could beat you any longer
than that because I think I would just want to
die and then just be like one point one kill myself.
I think I could take his short I get you
take in forty. I think I get closer at seventy
to eighty.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
I think I can what you have a better shot
out of forty than one hundred forty yard dash than
one hundred meter.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I'm thinking a hundred football field compre touchdown either one
hundred yard one. I guess we're talking about too different
things and touchdowns. You weren't in the list that I
put up because I think Kevin probably my biggest my
arch nemesis out of everyone, like out of everyone, Yeah,
because Kevin was athlete of the day over it keeps

(13:17):
getting week day, an hour, hour the minute. Yeah, Kevin,
probably give me a run. I go pretty hard, though
I'm sure France like I it's I'm not basing that
off of what I used to do. I think it's

(13:38):
I still feel pretty good about that now. But but
here's the deal.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
You're you're not in one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
I'm yeah, but I'm hurt. But it doesn't matter. I
could do it once right wise man once said might
be broken and one my legs, but I'm as good
as I once wasn't that broken legs as I was
once on my broke that's went. But yeah, yeah, So
on the Big Show though, I put me first, Ray second,
Lunchbox third, Eddie fourth. How do you feel like that?

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Probably accurate? I'm not fast that I'm not known for
my speed, at.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Least not by the dudes. I thought about Lunchbox in
that because he can run, but he had he is
very much a long distance runner as well. And whatever,
Ray and Lunchbox ran and it was a really, really
contentious a couple of days on the show. I don't

(14:28):
know how many guys were with the show at the time.
Eddie wasn't. Maybe Mike I was there. Oh my god.
We built up this race. It was a forty between
Lunchbox and Ray, the two most competitive dudes, and they
raced and Ray beat him.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Lunchbocks walking off the field was just like him, so defeated.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
He just left. We had a show to do. God,
he just left. I felt bad for him because I
am competitive, But I also would have known that race
fast and I wouldn't have been so hard. I wouldn't
have thought for sure I was gonna wait, thought sure
he's gonna win, like with Kevin, and I'm like, I
think it could beat you. But there's also a part
of me that goes Kevin was freaking Golden Gym Century.

(15:09):
It was like him Secretariat and Babe Bruce right whenever
ESPN did their Athletes of the Century.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
But Lunchbox did run a mare of that without training.
That was pretty impressive, very impressive. He's a long distance runner.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Did Ray beat him pretty I mean, was it real close?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Do you remember?

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It's a forty so it wasn't gonna be that bunch
of a distance anyway, But yes, it was pretty close.
It was ahead, he got him by a head, but
Lunchbox took the lead and Little Ray just freaking keyboard
else legs.

Speaker 6 (15:38):
And thence and then.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
And it was There have been uncomfortable moments on our
show because our show has just basically been let's just
be honest and let's sometimes we fight, sometimes we love,
we laugh, but we always eventually get back together. And
that was a tough one to get back from for
those two because it was they both just knew they
were gonna win, and it didn't no matter who won,
that the winner was going at the loser so hard,

(16:02):
and then Lunchbox just walked off the field. Wouldn't do
a postgame interview, it was all live on the air,
wouldn't And then Ray and Lunchbox didn't they boxed once out. Yeah,
anyone wasn't working on the show, but I got him
to become referee it so we do. It is this terrible.
We put up cones in like the yard of the
radio station and put boxing gloves on them, so there

(16:23):
really was like no rules and then like rages like
beat the crab out of it.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
It was the sloppiest boxing ever there.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Yes, and also there was no ring.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
They were just like running around.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Godly uh yeah yeah yeah. So congratulations Keiki. That's my point.
I saw that and I thought it was pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Thank you so and all.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
You got so many accolades athletically from them too. I know,
I know ten different awards so far. Okay, I wanted
to talk just for a second about the Angel rees
uh in WNBA salary story. So for those that do
not follow the w n B, a Angel Reese place
for the Chicago Sky She played at LSU on a
national championship. Her and Kaitlyn Clark are basically rivals. I

(17:07):
don't think the magic and Bird of the WNBA. I
don't think she's Kaitlin Clark's rival. I think Kaitlin Clark
is her rival because she's jealous of Kaitlyn Clark. I
don't think Kaitlin Clark cares.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
No, it doesn't seem like it.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
So the story came where angel Rees was talking about
her bills and that she can't afford her bills on
her WNBA salary, and so I'm just gonna read just
some of this. Angel Rees talked about hating paying her bills.
She then went on to how her role in the

(17:39):
Chicago Sky doesn't cover her main expenses such as rent.
She went on to say, hating bills, hate paying them bills.
I just hope you know the WNBA don't pay my
bills at all. I don't even think that pays one
of my bills. Literally, I'm trying to think of my
rent for where I stay at. Let me do the
math real quick. I don't even know my WNBA salary.
So she earns WNBA seventy six thousand dollars a rookie season,

(18:02):
and it's projected to earn up to ninety seven thousand,
but I think her rent was like eight grand a month.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
So here's the thing. I have two things, and I
know people will be like, well, the WNBA they should
get paid more, and they will new collective bargain and
agreement goes into plane a couple of years. And because literally,
because I can't look Clark, the league's gonna make more money,
Like literally, what's a new CBA for WNBA happens? The
WNBA has been losing money every year, every year, every year.
If you work for any business that loses money, it

(18:29):
doesn't matter how good you are in that business, you
don't make a lot of money. So that's been the
beef the WA NBA players should not make as much
as the NBA players, regardless if they were better or worse,
just based on the WNBA doesn't make money. And any
business you work out that doesn't make money, you don't
have a bunch of high, high salaried folks working there.
So it doesn't matter what the league is or the industry.

(18:49):
The business business loses money. You don't got a bunch
of millionaires working there. So I think Caylet Clark makes
like eighty grand, eighty five grand and something like that. Yeah,
whatever it is, Angeliees, you have your eighty thousand. I'm
sure you're making endorsements. You have to live within your means,
regardless it doesn't. I would say the same thing to

(19:10):
like Adrian Adrishan Peterson lost all his money. Adrian Peterson
like made a hundred million Buckses broke all of it
and he had to he borrowed a bund. Yeah, but
to him, to anyone, right, you have to live within
your means. Eighty thousand dollars plus let's say she makes
another fifty one hundred and thirty thousand dollars. There's a

(19:32):
lot of money for anybody to make in America, like
the average income Mike, and uh, you may look this up.
I can look it up now. But that's on her.
It's my point. Yes, Yeah, I do not feel guilty
that she can't pay her eight thousand dollars a month rent. Yeah,
that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Well, I think though, with like you said, endorsements, I
feel like she makes she would make pretty good money
because we know who she is. She you see her
in commercials, like especially.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
What commercials do you here in?

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Yeah, I've seen her in some like like a Gatorade commercial.
Have you one of those? Yeah, one of those commercials
lists Again, there's.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
One that we're debating. If she's in it, I mean so,
but I'm not saying she's not making endorsement money.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Yeah, But I think here she's just calling out the
WNBA because she's not saying like, I don't have but.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
There's nothing to call out for the WNBA.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Just as she's making eighty thousand or whatever.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
But that argument has so many times been if the
business made more, you would make more. And the new
CBA that's going in there, they will make more. But
the point is, regardless if you're happy or unhappy about
the salary you make, you have to actually buy things
that you can afford, if it's ten million, one million,
or fifty dollars. So she called the WNBIT all day.
Steph Curry call out the NBA all day. Maybe the

(20:42):
same thing. If he's spending more than it's still like,
you know what you're making, you have to live within
that and no one's feeling sorry for you because you've
chosen to spend more than you make.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
What do you have?

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Forty eight thousand a year?

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Huh? Forty eight thousand a year is media in America. Really,
what about what about like dual income? I mean prop
two average two family or two house to two income family. Yes,
thank you, I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (21:14):
And as far as commercials go, it looks like an
Amazon Prime Video spot, one spot or or a campaign
just disappeared in a spot.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Okay, so spot, you know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
I don't know her money. But let's say she got
fifty grand for.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
That NBA TV spot I'll promote with the NBA finals.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
I guess probably very little, if Sardi in the organization,
but probably something.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yeah, and that's small.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
So as a promo for the Wicked movie? What about
the Gatorade, I don't see anything. Yeah, exactly exactly.

Speaker 6 (21:44):
For duel income, it's between seventy two and eighty thousand.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
You're talking about average average, not low, not in the middle. Right,
duel is eighty grand in America. And you know what
you have to do if you make seventy or ninety
or one hundred and ten or hundred and thirty or twenty,
you have to live within the means that you have.
And in fact, the angelry is that that's a story.
I just scratch my head and go, you're making a

(22:07):
lot of money. You're a single lady, you're gonna make
a lot more like take a couple of years in
love with than your means.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
We're learning that she complains about a lot of stuff.
A lot of stuff is true.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
She does complain a lot.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
She stays in the media, though, Yeah, which would.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Lead you to think she's been making more money. Yeah right,
I mean I haven't thought she was going to gain
her in commercial Yeah that's shorts in Vibe dot com.
But yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a lot of I mean,
you make one hundred and thirty thousand dollars a lot
of money. You're a single person who also get lots
stuff for free, probably a lot of food for free
because she works, Like, that's a lot of money. Eighty

(22:44):
thousand dollars U is average that, I mean, that's.

Speaker 7 (22:49):
It's like fifty two a month, fifty two hundred.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
I'm sure. That's what I was trying to do, is
like do them. But then I was doing taxes too.
But that doesn't matter because when someone says how much
do you make a year, you don't go after taxes.
You say what you make before taxes are taken out,
Like when anyone's like, what's their salary. It's never eighties,
like five thousand, like pretty close to it. A month, yeah, Angel,

(23:13):
your rents eight grand? I think a month?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Probably? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Move, probably move, she said, like get a roommate. Oh
or that.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
That's when I'm saying I saw that too. Let's get
over to the tittle tattle. The tittle tattle.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
In honor of Tom Brady being the new NFL owner.
If you could own any NFL team, which would it be?

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Oh, NFL team? Yeah, you got it, It's probably the
Cowboy because the most valuable that's right, and you own
it and I go to every game. It's perfect. I
wasn't thinking about like my friends. I was thinking about
just what's the most valuable team, because I don't really
have an NFL team. Yeah, and then you can yell
at and stuff and like, no, no, that's only Jerry
Oh yeah, yeah, that's only Jerry Jones. They all don't

(24:06):
do that, got it. I know you think they do
because it's the only team that you like follow that closely.
But no, no, that's not every owner. Yeah, the Cowboys
because I'd probably flip them. I buy them, flip them
like real estate, and then buy like two other smaller teams. WHOA,
that's a rude.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
That's America's team. You can't afford to do that.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Are they still America's team?

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Let ever die down.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Know who else would be? The Steelers?

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Give me a break.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
But it's not a who else would be? It's like,
why are the Cowboys still considered America's team? There's really
nothing about them that makes them America's team except for
like in the eighties, they just designated themselves as that.
I'm not even being a hater. I'm just asking the question,
why are the Cowboys America's team now because they are
the most watched I don't think that just because you
have the highest ratings, does it mean that you are

(24:52):
America as anything. It's exactly what it means. So the
highest rated television show is America's show. What's it called
American Idol? It's not the.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
America America.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Anything with bigger numbers would be considered America's according to
your logic, I don't feel like the Cowboys are America's
team anymore. I feel like they're the team that is
the most polarizing. Therefore they're in the news the most.
It's not that they are talked about the most because
everybody loves them. It's that the general interest in them

(25:27):
is high because of Jerry Jones losing, winning dumb decisions.
You know it is true.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
No, not everybody loves them, even their fans start to
hate them. But what's funny to me, though, is the
Patriots could have easily been the new America's team with
all their wins. Tom Brady and they're called dynasty and
they're the Patriots, Red, white and Blue.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Couldn't do it. Not centralized enough to be America's team. Northeast. Yeah,
very upper right hand, a bunch of other teams surrounding
them like they're almost need it almost needs to be
in the middle somewhere, like the Cowboys are medal ish. Yeah,
I mean like the Chiefs would be like an America's team.
They've won too much now, people starting to hate them

(26:10):
for no reason. They could be America's team. But it's
like a team that general Middle America loves. Even if
you don't have a team, you gravitate towards because a
lot of that middle America's space does. They don't have
a team like you're look at a bunch of East
Coast teams, bunch of West Coast teams. Nothing in therexas Yeah,
there's nothing there, which is why I was I was like,
why is it the Cowboys now?

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Man, It's just happened, like you said, in the eighties.
Then we backed it up in the nineties.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Won a lot in the nineties. You had a very
outspoken owner, he had a good looking quarterback. Yeah, you
had the best running back.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
Ever, Emit Smith ever, Michael Irvin started the eighty eight tradition, I.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Would say, according to folks at that time, yes, it
just as far as like what touchdowns, rushing yards, Yeah,
rushing yards he was.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Awesome, King wasn't good.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
My kids would be like, I don't think he was
the best running back ever. I'm just saying generally thought of,
especially when he's breaking the touch now rushing yards records break. Yeah,
I don't think he's the best running back. I think
yet with a really good team, really great off its line,
big Holes is obviously really good.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, anyway, buy the Cowboys. Second, let me let me
answer secondly, who I would buy? Because you go, would
you look for a deal? You go major market. I'm
not thrift shopping here. I get any I want. According
to the question, I'm not going to buy the Giants
of the Jets. I want to share a stadium.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Oh gosh, that's terrible.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Yeah, and it's too cold. Super toxic culture. Just New
York and general is very toxic culture. That being said
that I would have I would own the Yankees. That'd
be nice, that'd be great, that'd be worth a lot.
You go to La I don't want the Rams Chargers.
I don't want the Chargers. They still feel like the
from San Diego.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
To me, it's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
So I'm going to mark them off. And that's market
one and two. Market three is Chicago. The Bears are interesting,
had the same owner. They don't spend a lot of money.
I'll put the Bears up there as it's something I
consider the forty nine ers or market four, Market four
or five, that's interesting. Miscisco is a major market. They
have a history of winning. Yeah, it's not super cold there.
It doesn't get a little chilly. But always think about that,

(28:07):
like I don't want to lift some more cold.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
It's important. It's important too.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
So there's that. Then you have Houston. I don't want
to Texans are too new, you know.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
I wanted to Houston since it's so close to Dallas.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Texans too new, it's not about the city.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Okay, well I'm saying you own both, you can just
three hour drive back.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
No, I don't own both, though, I'm saying if I
don't take the Cowboy, oh it's the second one. Yeah,
So who I would take Houston? The Texans brand is
too new, not gonna be as valuable. That's sevent me
Houston Dallas Market seven. I think it would probably be
the Bears, and I think I could make that America's
team really centrally located major market. Chicago's market number three

(28:48):
don't have a real history of winning the eighties, was
that McMahon. Yeah, like the eighty five Bears, which you
don't remember. I think I can make them very likable
Middle America. Chicago doesn't seem like a major marquest compared
to LA and New York, but it is. It's massive,
it's huge, so people think of it as just a
city in the Midwest.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Stadium would you build a new one or keep it
at Soldier? Perfect World? Perfect world.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
I'd build a hover stadium.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Oh and you can move it.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Yeah, they would take up no space on a movie it.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Oh, that's funny.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah, I mean in the perfect world, right, Soldier Field's old,
so I probably there's a lot of history there. Maybe
do like they did Wrigley, where they kept it, but
they made it nicer, upgraded, like the plumbing works. The
problem is, though, it's like the parking. Have you ever
been to Soldier Field? No, driven by right and you
actually you really drive right by it the on the interstate.

(29:39):
It's not like there's a robust area to park all
your cars. There's something.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
It's fine, You're right, Wrigley is there parking.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
I've only taken the set lots street parking, but no, no,
But I'm talking about Ragley is old and crappy. That's
what made it awesome. But now it's old and some
of it's crappy, but some of it's new. Way better
than Boston though, oh way better overrated? All right, next up?

Speaker 2 (30:02):
All right?

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Which SEC matchup? Are you looking forward to most this weekend?
You got Bama at Tennessee or Georgia at Texas.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Georgia at Texas just because those are the two programs
one that's supposed to be the best and two that
the one that has been the best. So Texas is
supposed to be the best. Georgia has been the best.
That's fine. But Texas and Tennessee is that's a that's
a I quit match.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
The Bama Tennessee Bama Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yeah, yeah, whatever, whoever loses that, you're probably not making
the CFP.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
They're both like kind of reeling a little bit right now?

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Are they? Or is everybody else just at the same
level up in that upper tier is? And isn't everybody
reeling a little bit because you don't have the depth anymore?

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Like, there just isn't depth because instead of being depth
on one team, you can go be the starter on another.
So I like parody. I like people losing gives my
team a chance.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yeah, you guys are right there. If you're waiting for people.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
We beat LSU sec wise, like we're in it.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
If we beat LSU, Like again, that's two top ten
wins in a row. Did you guys have the team?

Speaker 2 (31:07):
You have the team to do it.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
I don't think we have the personnel if we match
them up one to one that they do.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
But your offense, like they score and they could score quickly,
they can score a lot early, Like.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
I don't know what team you've been watching.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
The We've lost.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
At times, but we can't. At times we do, and
at times we're just inept.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
When I've watched, dude, I've seen you guys just pound
pound pound score. What if we watched the first two weeks,
you guys like scored quickly and.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Then we played you APB. It's not even a real team.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Anything I watched, though, maybe it's the second week.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
In the third week it's A and M. The first
drive he looked great.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
We look great in the first half, and then we
couldn't move the ball at all the second half, and
then the last we turned it off. Admit it, I
did turn off. Then the last one I saw you
guys come from behind and win it, which is awesome
Tennessee Tennessee backup back from come from behind. Yes, but
we were ahead for most in the entire first half.
But yeah, our offense is either completely inept or really dynamic.

(32:09):
But I would say at our quarterback is not consistent
enough to be like, wow, look at our really strong offense.
We're not known for offense at all. We have a
really good defense. So you're you're watching it weird times. Well,
you're watching the good You're watching Instagram highlights.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Be a fair than what I do is I watch
what I'm winning and what's close on my parlays, and
then I'll watch that. Like in my parlay is winning
five games, I'm watching those five games, and I'm like
two our borderline, I'm watching those two back and forth.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Our quarterback at times is great and at times is
still the guy that lost the job at Boys Estate.
I think we're gonna be Las year. He's a stunt.
I have a picture of him and I together. He's
six seven. Who is that landon the big ball dude?

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I have a picture of us together, and he looks
like he's from a different age, the time of Giants
like it. He is so big.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
When did you meet him?

Speaker 1 (33:07):
See if it's on my phone. I met him whenever
we went to do too much access with Cam Little.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
Oh he was walking, he was walking in the hallway.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Stopped him. No, he was on the field, right, So
I know.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
I know it's two weeks later, but Cam Little at
the game win and kick up.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Yeah, yeah, it was good.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
It was like the only thing that we didn't look
at and be like yeah, we did it. I didn't
do crap. Yeah, I was trying to find focused, dude,
like not phased all the Jaguars one win.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
Yeah, it's because of Cam.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Yeah, yeah for sure. Well, well good luck. I hope
you won it.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
I can't find it.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
You're freaking awesome.

Speaker 5 (33:37):
I can tell us here all day.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Looking for it.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
It's it is it, It's in Arkansasans.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Yeah. All right.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
Next question, all right, NFL here, which wide receiver edition
do you feel will have a bigger impact of Vante
Adams or Mark Cooper?

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Probably Marik Cooper.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Honestly, it means because the Bills are foreign too, and
they had to spend like eighty bucks for him. That's
pretty cool because the Browns had already taken his signing
bonus and turn it into contract or contract. The Bills
only have to pay eight hundred thousand dollars for a
true number one.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
It's awesome. Jon Dadams is probably the better receiver, but
the Bills were already up two games on the Jets.
Amari Cooper not quite what Devontae Adams is. However, I
don't have Josh Allen than I would Aaron Rodgers, and
I know it's not the sexy answer because you're like Jets.
I'm starting to really not like Aaron Rodgers. I've always

(34:28):
rooted for him, even when he's annoying.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
I'm a't think anyone would root for him.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I have a jet. It's like Tiger Woods, for example.
I have friends that know and have hung out with Tiger,
and they're like, he's a bad He's a bad person.
They're like, he doesn't tip, he treats people like crap. Yeah,
and heard that one. Yeah, well you don't know these people. Yeah,
I still watch and I'm like, let's go Tiger. Yeah.
And with Aaron Rodgers, like I'm rooting for him and

(34:54):
I don't know why. But the more he talks, it's
not even him talking because I don't care about the
conspiracy stuff. That's kind of interesting to me to hear.
But after the game, when his pass was intercepted, Mike
Williams right, he's like, you should have run the red line. Like,
even if you're right about that, you kind of as
the quarterback, as the veteran superstar, you kind of just

(35:17):
take the blame. And then behind closed doors go, hey, guys,
this is not really what like stopping you can't do that.
Don't be that dude.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
You don't have to.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
If you're going to be the leader at times, you
have to go and lead through different ways of just
the guy throwing the touchdown passes. I don't know, it's
starting to be annoying to me. As like a quarterback,
and I think always liked him as a quarterback because
he was fiery, he was dynamic. If he threw picks,
they were big picks, like he come back and win. No,
he didn't have a lot of comeback wins. I looked
at his stats. Really, he's not a big comeback.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
I felt like when they had the ball at the
very end with two minutes left, they were going to
win the game.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Maybe somebody google down Mary's Yeah, I love his comeback
from behind winds. He does not have a lot. He's
not a big He's a guy who plays great with
the lead. Not a big comeback guy. But yeah, I'm
trying to root against him.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
So with Adams going to the Jets, though, do you
think that's what they're missing, that that's gonna win games.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
I think it's what makes Aaron happy for another couple
of weeks. But every time they've lost with the last
couple of weeks, there's been an excuse, so they fire
the coach. They blamed the receiver, we get another receiver. Like,
the headline has not been Aaron Rodgers sucks, it's been
something else that's happened inside of that organization. That's a
bigger headline than Aaron Rodgers sucks. Although he doesn't suck,
and he is throwing the ball pretty well, but again,

(36:30):
he's made a lot of bad decisions in the past
couple of weeks. So I think Mark Hooper probably is
the bigger get because I think the Bills have a
real opportunity now to run away with the East. Yeah,
because all they have to do is win a decent
amount of games. The Jets, their defense is going to

(36:51):
get worse because their head coach, who had turned that
squad into a really good defensive squad, is not no
longer the coach of the team. So you're forgetting by
that part. Sure you Aaron Rodgers and Fonte Adams, but
that team was the Jets had a really good defense,
but you know, put the defense together and rant it
even though it wasn't defensive coordinator the head coach, and
now he's gone so.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
I'm still going to root Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
I don't know all time. By the way, he's tied
at twenty eight of what went back from behind wins? Yeah,
twenty one total, he's tied at twenty eighth. Place like
he's tied with un Fouts, Carrie Collins.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Like losers and not losers, but like like we think
of him as losers. Dan Fouts, I don't remember, it's
too old. I remember the commentator. Yeah, I know why
you remember.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
Him a playing No, I got like an NFL film's tape, okay,
and they had a little whole thing on Dan Fouts.

Speaker 5 (37:38):
You're probably thinking of like Matt Stafford.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
No, Dan Fouts.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
No, no, I'm talking about comeback wins.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Sorry, No, I was.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Thinking of Aaron Rodgers. He's not good coming back twenty eighth.
Didn't know that was he in a PARLOA watched him
at what probably.

Speaker 6 (37:50):
It says three wins in his entire career when trailing
by ten points or more in the fourth quarters.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Just not a good comeback guy. Great guy playing in
the lead, and obviously he's just imagine had he not
won the Once Bowl. I don't like playing the imagined game.
But let's do it because I'm kind of annoy abut
Aaron Rodgers, but you root for him. Had he not
won the one Super Bowl, he would be the guy
that won't stop running his mouth who could have been
like to He needs to have like two or three

(38:16):
to be as mouthy as he is. Yeah, and that
was so long ago, so long ago. Anyway, teen years ago.
I'm confused and my root and form or not, I
don't know, but I'm going I'm going with the Bills.
All right, what else you got?

Speaker 5 (38:24):
Last one? Both coming off their bye week? Which team
do you think is going to lose?

Speaker 2 (38:28):
First?

Speaker 5 (38:28):
The Vikings are the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Let's look at their schedules coming up. The Vikings have
the Lions tough. I would say toss up to l
It's definitely not a w The Rams they win that,
Colts they win that. The Jags they win that Tide
they win that. So I think the Vikings are probably
gonna win four or five, which is still awesome. They
could go if they there's no more. If they they

(38:52):
are because they've already won big games. Yeah, that that
we can't do that anymore. It's like if the Vikings
can pull this one out. Then what they've already they
whooped the Texans, right, Yeah, I'm not crazy with them. Yeah,
so I believe in the Vikings. I believe. But if
they beat the Lions, they might run the thing for
a while. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (39:11):
That's a tough That's the only one. As far as
the next few games.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
The Chiefs forty nine ers, and you know, man, they
need a receiver, like I don't know who they've been
talking to or if they're even really trying to get one,
but what DeAndre Hopkins kind of fit over there?

Speaker 2 (39:30):
That would be amazing.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
That'd be a nice little get. The Titans don't need
to win games. The Titans now shouldn't win games. Their
season's over. Lose all the games. Keep Levison, you want
to lose, keep Levison, get your quarterback. But the Chiefs
playing the forty nine ers, toss up Raiders, they'll win
Bucks oh man, double, well, that should be a win.
But I would put win to the slight toss up category.
But it should be a win. Broncos they should beat,

(39:54):
but then the Bills. So I would say the Chiefs
have three semi too difficult games in the next five,
where the Vikings have one difficult game. The problem is
the Vikings game is next. I'm going to predict the
Chiefs when longer than the Vikings do. But after five weeks,
the Vikings have a better record, just because the schedule

(40:16):
is much easier for the Vikings.

Speaker 5 (40:17):
As long as yeah, as soon as they get through
this week, if.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
The Vikings beat the Lions, they're for real. I just said,
we can't say that, but still, let's imagine, because if
they beat the Lions, there'll be what seven to six
by week they came off?

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Why did Jets have to play?

Speaker 1 (40:33):
That's so weird. The Jets had had to play overseason
and they come back and have to play immediately. Everybody
else got to buy and then somebody stayed. Jack Yeah,
what do you do that whole week in London?

Speaker 2 (40:45):
What you Ben?

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Big Ben?

Speaker 2 (40:51):
What else?

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Is so tough? I know that they are trying to
spread NFL around the world, and God love them, but
it so tough to be a single team playing in Europe.
It would be such a disadvantage. Let's say they moved
to Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
Because they're the ones that play the most over there,
right every year?

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Yeah, they have played the most.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
I do believe.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
I do believe that that is true. But think about
that every away game you're traveling over. You would never
do one away game and they go back home. You'd
have to do two or three at a time and
play two or three at home at a time. But
if you're doing two or three at a time, you're
staying in a hotel, not at home for three weeks
at a time.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
Yeah, tough.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
It's kind of like Hawaiian college times. Everybody wants to
go to Hawaii. Yeah, but they have to travel too,
and think of the taxes you'd have to pay the
England or Hawaii is at least.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
In America, that's the same country m h Man and well.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Whi though you a lot of those kids lived there already,
or these players wouldn't live in London originally and they
choose to go to Hawaii. Don'tant get to choose what
team you played for unless it's free agency.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
Right you actually decided to do Yeah? Yeah, yeah, So
are they trying to get a team to be an
international team?

Speaker 1 (42:01):
I don't or they not that anybody knows they're spreading,
but and there have been articles that I've read, and Kevin,
I'm sure you have two where they're like, if we
did it, we'd have to be like four teams in Europe.

Speaker 5 (42:12):
Yeah, it couldn't be just one.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
It couldn't be just one. They would That would be
like a division like the AFC South and they play
each other twice and they're able to stay over there,
like a Germany team, a London team. But man, that's
a big jump to go from nobody in Europe and
all of a sudden you got four freaking teams.

Speaker 4 (42:25):
I'm still convinced that they give free tickets to those
games hand out jerseys. I just can't see people, you're
European fans that crazy about American football.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
You know, I would have maybe thought that twenty years ago,
but I think now I can't. The weird thing for
me is to see the Jacksonville Chicago game and there's
somebody wearing a Chiefs jersey, maybe not the Chiefs, but
somebody a Panthers jersey. Because there's every teams like Representati.
It's like wrestling the Cardinals, and they would like plant
signs at times that they'd be like see them, Punk
is back and they're holding the sign up and like

(42:58):
nobody knew Sampunk was coming back this week and you're like,
why did that person have that sign? Like somebody gave
it to that.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
That's what I'm saying. I like there's people outside being like,
here's your Panthers jersey here.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
Maybe not tickets, but maybe jerseys and something.

Speaker 5 (43:10):
Because it's every team, every team represented, every team.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
Yeah, it's like the un like every country's gotta flag there. Okay, Yeah, anyway,
if the Vikings win, that gets a line. I'm gonna
believe it. All right, that's tell title. Thank you name.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
The town.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Let's build a parley. Anytime I've put Arkansas and we've lost,
so I'm feeling pretty good about it, let's go. Maybe
I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'm gonna if so,
I'm gonna put it third. The Texas Georgia Games.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Fun.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
That's an interesting game. Just uh, just who would you pick?
You know what, here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna
do this differently. You can pick a game. I street
we're gonna triangle this thing. Oh yeah, so we can
blame one of us if it doesn't work. I like,
I'll like it better because then I'm gotta throw three
up if I miss one. It's my fault and I've
hit two or so. Screw you guys. I'm just gonna

(44:08):
pick one. I like it, So we're gonna do the
the parlay. Let me know whenever you have your game,
and I'll read some of these interesting ones, like Alabama
is minus three at Tennessee. I was a little surprised
by the line. I thought it would be more of
a pick them or maybe a one or a Tennessee one,

(44:28):
because that means they think that Alabama is six to
seven points better neutral field with the points that there
they give Tennessee. Does that makes sense?

Speaker 5 (44:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a surprise. I thought, yeah,
if anything, Yeah, like you said one, Tennessee, maybe one.
But I'm gonna go I got mine, Okay, I watch
take it. I'm just gonna go with it.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Go in my heart.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Miami minus four and a half at Louisville.

Speaker 1 (44:59):
Yeah, I feel pretty good. I mean, Lovell has been ranked.

Speaker 5 (45:02):
Yeah, they're they're a good team. I almost went money line,
but you're not gonna do anything of that.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Yeah, we shouldn't allow money lines if we're doing this
version of it. When I was picking three teams picking
money line, I was like, I'm gonna lose.

Speaker 5 (45:14):
All right, let's go Miami.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
Okay, So Athlete of the Century goes Miami minus four
and a half at Louisville. Boom, Okay, Edward, Gosh, I'm close,
you know there, I'll go, yeah, go. Are you thinking
about the Texas game?

Speaker 2 (45:31):
No, I'm not. I don't want to touch that game.
I'm thinking I'm thinking of SEC though.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Okay, I thought maybe you'd be thinking about that. Georgia
Texas Texas a five point favorite. I bet George Ways
that game. I bet George Ways the game.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
So is that your bet?

Speaker 1 (45:47):
No? But I bet you George wains a game because
nobody thinks George's gonna like, nobody thinks George is gonna
win the game. And that's so weird.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
You know.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
I know Georgia, Yeah, yeah, I know. They're in Austin,
and no, nobody thinks Georgie is gonna win the game.
Uh okay, I'm gonna go Arkansas plus two and a half.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
Let's go Eddie. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sticking with the
SEC there. Bones.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
Yeah. I like that.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Missouri over Auburn minus four the one that sticks out
to me. Auburn.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
You know, I feel like I mean, we don't really
know Missouri, but I feel like they can take care
of them there at home. I think they can cover
four points against Auburn. Let's go that Missouri minus four.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
That game is interesting to me. I wouldn't have touched
it because Auburn is getting better too, a little too
late for them to have a deep season. They are
getting better. Missouri have have kind of been put on
fraud watch.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
Yes, that's what I'm saying. I really don't know, but
I feel like they can handle Auburn.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
Auburn almost beat Oklahoma. Auburn almost beat Arkansas.

Speaker 4 (46:52):
Oklahoma, that's true, thank you. I was also looking at
Kansas versus Houston. Kansas is not I don't know what
happened to that I know, but but houstones.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
Houston have a football team.

Speaker 1 (47:04):
They're actually playing Kevin Sampson's basketball team. That's fine.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
Okay, Well, then don't touch that one.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
So you're going with ye, I'm going with Missouri. What
is minus four?

Speaker 1 (47:13):
Missouri minus four?

Speaker 2 (47:15):
Ads at Missouri. So Auburn at.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Missouri at Missouri minus four Okay, uh yeah, got this
And if it's not up sometimes that don't put ours
up anymore.

Speaker 6 (47:25):
Mike, you know why, No, I'll hit him right now.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
Yeah, we hit him up, said, we're hitting him in.
We're crushing it over there. Yeah. Actually we've only hit one,
but still there's we're crushing it over here and our
listeners are demanding it. We're only six weeks anything, Yeah,
so we're only what one for five do we hit
last week?

Speaker 5 (47:42):
Nolo?

feel about when someone goes, hey, can I ask your question?
I just did that. I know well, and when you
did that, I thought, man, I need talk about annoying
it ask good question.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
And on my part too, it's like, am I really
wondering because you said no? And I'm like, dang it,
and now I'm stuck with a question, right, I really
want to know?

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Because who heed? He goes, hey, can I ask your question?
I'm like, I really if you were just asked me
the question, I would have. I could have also just
said no, I don't feel like answering. Uh huh, And
I thought I hate when people lass that. So I
just said no and he goes and I was just
stuck in a like for like thirty seconds and he
just asked it. Anyway, you just could have used that
same energy and said and asked the question.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
I like it when I say question and people go answer.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
I like that, you know what I mean, That's not
so bad. But you're not asking to ask, then I am. No,
You're just setting up that you're about to ask.

Speaker 2 (49:15):
But I'm not going to say a question then immediately
ask it. I wait for a response.

Speaker 4 (49:18):
Question No, okay, So it's the same thing I don't
think so, because I think question.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
If you go like Dwight on the office question, you
just asked a question. If you ask kind of ask
the question, you're actually asking a question, which is what
you're asking if you can do. But you're already doing
what you're asking if you can do. You just asked
me a question by you saying, can I ask you
a question? Understood?

Speaker 4 (49:40):
I guess I'm just waiting for your attention. I'm waiting
for your full undivided attention, but.

Speaker 1 (49:45):
You never got it. I was so annoyed by the
question I didn't focus on something else purposefully. I had
nothing else to focus on, but I was like, I
don't want to focus on him anymore.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
That's pretty funny. I didn't realize that annoyed.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
You Can I ask you a question? Yes? And you did,
so we're done to So that's our quota of one today.
We are not complete perfect. And then the question up
being about somebody we work with it we don't even
know what they do for.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
We don't even know that.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
No one knew the answer.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
So it was a hell of a question.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
But it's still the thing is announced still thinking about it,
and it wasn't that I didn't want to answer a question.
It was just who says, can I ask you a
question anymore?

Speaker 2 (50:17):
Do people not say that?

Speaker 5 (50:18):
I say it all I've heard reads it quite a bit.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
No, I know I was going to ask REGOs.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (50:24):
Read is yeah, hey, hey, hey, I was going to
ask if you had any more tickets.

Speaker 7 (50:29):
Just I think it's because in my mind it feels
better with like a little bit of a cushion before
I go into the actual question, which is.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
Fine, but I was going to ask, and then asking
in the same structure, it doesn't make sense, doesn't make
at all. Like you know, I was thinking, I'm not
really going to today, but I was going to ask
this question, and then the question is like no, no,
you just said it all up by saying you weren't
really but where you could just go question, well, what

(50:57):
does that really mean?

Speaker 3 (50:58):
Though?

Speaker 2 (50:58):
Reid?

Speaker 1 (50:58):
Are you scared the question? He's absolutely scared because he's
asking of you or asking something.

Speaker 5 (51:04):
From you tickets.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
I'm always scared to ask a question. He's always because
he'll never go I was gonna ask if I could
rub your feet because that would be something he's doing
for someone anything.

Speaker 7 (51:15):
I mean even if it's like if I was going
to go out of town and I was making sure
we didn't have anything, I'd be like, I was going
to ask, can I go out of town this weekend?

Speaker 1 (51:23):
It's always something for him because he's nervous, nervous, I
got it, but he never asks. He never I was
going to ask if he's going to do something for us?

Speaker 3 (51:33):
I know.

Speaker 5 (51:35):
He never thought about that.

Speaker 7 (51:36):
Yeah, if that's I would just be like, hey, I'm
gonna go get this for you, or would you like
me to get this for you?

Speaker 1 (51:42):
That's funny, but he softens up with that. I was
gonna ask, do you have any more tickets to your show?
My friend what Stone?

Speaker 3 (51:50):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (51:51):
Stone Stone Stone? Sometimes Dawson Stone and Dawson need forty
one tickets. I was going to ask, if you have
any forty one? I was gonna all That's why I
didn't ask, though, because I knew forty one would be
too mine. No no, no no.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
And if you tell him, you know what, he didn't
expect to hear.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
He goes, that's why.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
That's why I.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
Figures why, Like, if you do have to say no,
you're right, He's like yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why I didn't.
That's why I didn't ask, or like, no, you you asked.
I love it read I was gonna ask you just
be you man a man. He doesn't do it as
much anymore because we call him out on it. Yeah,
call him, well he would say it. Now it's like, oh,

(52:30):
since you were going to ask, so you're not actually asking?

Speaker 2 (52:34):
No, No, I I am. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
And then Eddie, can I ask you a question?

Speaker 2 (52:39):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (52:40):
I realized I also do at restaurants. I always say please,
well kid, why is that bad?

Speaker 3 (52:46):
No?

Speaker 2 (52:47):
You know what, it's not just please?

Speaker 1 (52:48):
You know what I do restaurants. It's weird, but I
tip white what no?

Speaker 2 (52:51):
No?

Speaker 1 (52:51):
No.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
It's like when I order, can I have? Can I
please have the macaroni and cheese?

Speaker 1 (52:58):
Please?

Speaker 2 (52:58):
At all? How is it not we like?

Speaker 1 (53:00):
Why am I asking them permission? I don't know them,
but are they going to say, like, no, you may not. No,
that's just the kind of thing. It's just it's just
a uh manners thing.

Speaker 4 (53:10):
Really, I just thought it was weird because I'm like,
I should really just be saying I'll take the mac
and cheese.

Speaker 5 (53:17):
See that sounds aggressive to me.

Speaker 1 (53:19):
Really, I think I think it's forward. I think it's
that sounds fine as well, but I don't think please
is anything other than you're just being soft and it's
a nice guy.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
And I think I noticed my brother doing it first,
and I'm like, dang, I do that too, and it's
very like, so, can I please have a little doctor
pepper with mac and cheese?

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Please? If you say twice, that's what I'm saying, and
I've never heard you say it's I think now you're
amplifying it because we told you it wasn't that big
of a deal. I say, please, please, please, please. I
was going to ask if I could ask you a question.
That's what I figured him with Eddie double Man, Tom

(53:58):
Brady now owns part of the so him and his
partner on ten percent. So I guess Brady owns five
percent his partner, Yeah, his business partner. Business partner. So
him and his business partner, Tom Wagner paid over two
hundred million bucks, so they have a share ten percent
stake in the team, which is fun and fine, but
there are just a lot of conditions that Tom Brady
has to work under now that he's also in the booth.

(54:21):
And when you're in the booth and you're one of
the guys. He's doing the color for these games. You know,
there's two days leading up to it where you're interviewing
with some of the coaches, some of the players. But
there's so many things he can't do now because he's
the owner of another team. Number One, he's not permitted
to be in another team's facility. The end, he cannot
be another team's facility. He's the owner of this.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Team practice facility, right, not the stage.

Speaker 1 (54:42):
Well, he can like pay for tickets to the game.
But I'm saying, like, yes, yes, any of but how's
he gonna the booth, Like, what do you know you
can be in, Well, you can buy tickets and also
get there. That's not part of the team facility. But
the facilities, like the offices where they practic any of that,
And what.

Speaker 5 (54:56):
Are their practices a couple of days before and they'll
be like, oh, saw them run that in practice?

Speaker 1 (55:01):
They specifically, aside from the facility part, cannot go to
a team's practice like that whole other line. Wow, So
he can't go into like the offices, can't go into
the other teams, can't watch a practice, cannot attend in
person or virtual broadcast production meetings with coaches or players,
which happens every week, so you know they talk to
the coaches, talk to the players the night before, just

(55:22):
to have some context to what's gonna happen. Ye can
do none of that. Cannot publicly criticize officials and other clubs.
So I wonder if he can't even say that seems
like a blown call there, Chuck. Yeah, that's there's a
lot of these. Must follow NFL's gambling policy, that's fine,
who cares. Must follow NFL's anti tampering policies, which is tampering.

(55:44):
He can't really talk to players generally, meaning he can't
do like he can't like tweet at them. There's like
a strict social communication policy follow But it's all the
things that he probably would not be adhering to had
he not bought the team.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
But he's being paid.

Speaker 1 (56:09):
Three hundred and seventy five five million dollars over ten years.

Speaker 4 (56:12):
Yeah, you think that this is strategic to where like
this is great. All I have to do is just
show up.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
I think he didn't trying to buy a team forever. Yeah,
part of it was he's gonna buy the part of
the Dolphins years ago. Yeah, and go play and go
play for them.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
I remember that.

Speaker 5 (56:27):
So No, iagin't even Burkhart the lead guy on the broadcast.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
And has got to carry all. They should bring somebody
else in with them. Yeah, but Bray, here's the thing.
We don't care.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
No, we don't. I don't care about that.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
But no, we literally don't care. It's not gonna make
the broadcast any better or worse. No, you're right, we
don't care. It's Tom Brady, though.

Speaker 4 (56:43):
I don't like it when Troygman says like, well, I
talked to him last week and he said.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
I never watched a full half and go, wow, they
haven't mentioned they talked to somebody. I really wish they
would give me the insight about the interview they had
last night. So I'm sure it does provide some in depth,
some ability to have some in depth analysis. But you
know what the most in depth analysis of all time is,
it's when it comes from somebody who's won seven freaking
Super Bowls and played.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
In the league that long.

Speaker 1 (57:09):
Again, so is it weird he has it really gonna
affect us. No, it's a fun story, but the fact
and also makes his life a lot easier. Break if
you bring show up, I think you can be fine.
The team can be fine. Like if he breaks the
rules and he's he knows the rules, breaks them anyway,

(57:29):
they start suspending money, but then draft picks. I would
just have a bunch of post its like don't say this,
don't like if I feel like he could do nothing
except show up to the end. He doesn't even know
what game he's broadcasting. It's like when they do the
bat Race, they blindfold you and spin you. They're like,
all right, Tom, put the blindfold on, get on the plane.
He he does, no, he lands. They don't even know

(57:49):
where he is. They walk him up to the booth
blindfold on. All right, Tom, We're two minutes from going on.
They pull it off and it's like the music starts, Okay,
where oh wow? In London?

Speaker 5 (58:01):
Jackson bears.

Speaker 1 (58:02):
But he had no idea leading up to it.

Speaker 2 (58:04):
I thought we were in Chicago.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
It's like, amazing race, that would be funny. He has
no idea what game he has. He doesn't get to know.
But that's the situation with Tom Brady. But they could
also pull him out of the booth and they could
put him as one of the talking heads there's a
lot of value in Tom Brady. Oh yeah, but they're
not going to he doesn't need to talk with it.

(58:27):
Sean Payton he does the night before he's played Sean Payton.

Speaker 2 (58:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:33):
So uh, that's a lot of It's just a lot
of money. Three and sixty million dollars thirty six million
dollars a year roughly, And you really can do no
work leading.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
Up to the game. Pretty amazing.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
That would be like me doing the radio show, just
showing up, And there are guys that do that, but
it could be me like knowing like I wake up,
don't look at Twitter, don't know anything that's happening, to
show up to the building and like, okay, guys, I
could have no conference with anyone and go and just

(59:02):
start a freaking shoe.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (59:03):
And I guess it could be easier for him since
he just started doing this, so there's really like no
different It's not like you've been doing it for ten years, Like, oh,
how am I gonna do this?

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Like usually how I prep is I go talk to
the coach or usually I do this? Usually I do that.
He just started, you know, five six weeks ago. Fair.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
I think he could also be harder because he doesn't
get the tools that other people get just even be
halfway decent.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Yeah, he has to.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
He's just gonna have to learn a different way. So
probably in the end it's gonna be the same. He'll
just have to develop a different set of habits. Yeah,
but I wish I felt bad for him.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
He owns part of a team and is sitting on
billions of dollars, so yeah, cool, it's gonna be amount
of tricks and treats and of course many many touchdowns.

update on meeting Dan Patrick at the Oh Yeah Marconi's

(01:01:02):
that I hosted, and I you know, I had some
Dan Patrick jokes and stuff ready to go, and I
was a little wordy. He get more than anybody's gonna
get upset if I like roast him a little bit
if I don't know that sure, And I love Dan Patrick,
and so I was a little nervous and I was like, hey,
what table. I want to know what table he was
at so I could kind of see if he thought
it was funny. And so he did not come, Oh,

(01:01:27):
I'm a joke.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Yeah, I did a joke.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
I acted like he was there and did a joke.
So Mike had written a joke Dan Patrick ish, and
I took a part of something I learned from his joke,
and then I put it into a joke that I
wrote the rest stuff. So it's kind of like a
Mike's joke and my joke had a baby oh wow,
and delivered that and we yeah, we just delivered that

(01:01:50):
on stage joke. So because he was winning an award,
I was like, and I acted like I thought Dan
Patrick was there, because I think everybody else thought he
might have been too, because it's pretty big room. I'm
just gonna go from what I remember. Probably will be
as funny when I say it, because I don't remember
the joke exactly how I wrote it. But I was like,
I'm so excited that Dan Patrick is here. He's been
one of my heroes for as long as I've been

(01:02:12):
in broadcast. And also I thought he was really cool
before I even got into radio, like my three something like,
the three things that I really admire about his career are.
Number One, he was like the first person to mesh
sports and pop culture, which to this day he's still
known as being like the goat. Number two was one
of those one of the first guys from that generation

(01:02:32):
of ESPN to turn into a highly successful radio talk
show host, very entertaining and a very trusted source. And
I was like, and number three and most importantly, he's
able to charge two hundred dollars for a cameo, and
so because he does, he does, he does, And so
I got a big laugh. And then I didn't have
the heart to tell me he wasn't there because I

(01:02:53):
saw people like looking around for him, but I've been
told he wasn't there, so that kind of sucked. I
not wanted to meet him.

Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
No, no, no, get a chance to.

Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
Did you think about what you're gonna call him? Like
Danny boy, Danny p No?

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
Because I asked early on, I thought Hey, maybe I
should meet up beforehand. I was like, hey, when does
Dan Patrick get here? And agent was like, oh, yeah,
he's not going. And I was like, well, I have
this joke I was gonna do about him, and he
was like, uh, what's what's the joke? And I was like,
it's a great point. He didn't say do it anyway.

(01:03:29):
I just in my head I was like, it doesn't
matter what the joke is. I just act like I
think he's here. And so I told him the joke
and he was like, oh, it's funny joke.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
If he'd have been here.

Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
I was like, screw that, I'm saying it anyway, and
he was like, well, I'm not here. So yeah, I
told the joke, got it, got a big life nice,
which was nice. So that's the update. But I did
not get to meet Dan Patrick, which is what I
was looking forward to. And the other update is we
still can't tell you what we can't tell you him.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
Dang.

Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
People still keep hitting me up like what is it?
Can't tell you? I hate it. I can't tell I
mean I almost can't tell.

Speaker 5 (01:04:02):
They're really draw this out, getting to that point.

Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
Where it's like I can tell you because even if
it happens, we don't tell you why.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Yeah right, that's true, but you don't want to risk
just give it a little more time.

Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
If it doesn't happen this week, I'm just gonna be like,
screw it until you next week. I'm not dragging this
out for any reason, for content reasons, I promise. So
it's not that great a content. It's just something real cool.
I would love to have said initially, but I even asked, hey,
can I say this, and they said no, not yet.
But then a couple of things happened.

Speaker 5 (01:04:31):
It's one of those things where you build it up
and you're like, I swear it's not like the biggest
thing in the world, but I just can't do this.

Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
I know we built it up so much. It's not
going to live up to the high but it's really cool.

Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
But it is really cool.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
It's really cool, So okay, cool game last night. I'm
telling your boat next is terrible and awesome. I said it,
I've said it. I've said it many times. That throw
he one where he missed the front receiver threw it
over his head.

Speaker 5 (01:04:57):
And I'm not gonna lie and to see any of it.
You watch it, You see the clip were No, we
were at a I was at a concert.

Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
List Why don't I watched very very I just watched
all the clips this morning of it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
You're on a sports podcast, and he didn't watch clips
on it.

Speaker 5 (01:05:08):
I mean as intriguing as the Broncos and Saints were
last night.

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Terrible. You know it's terrible. I don't watch. I watched
six minutes of it, but then I went and watch
all the clips back. Nobody was yeah, no, and.

Speaker 5 (01:05:21):
You know, what's that bad? But you don't even see
clips of it. I've been on social.

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
Media today, but the Broncos are now. I saw Spencer
Ratler one play three and three or four and two
or four and three, one three, four three, four and three.

Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
It's crazy. There was the Saints have won two. Oh yeah, god.

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
I declared the Saints are greatest team in the history
of football after this week two that she tells you
how bout the Cowboys are too true?

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Do you want to play?

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
I had nothing to do with anyone know, I'm telling you, Yeah,
America's team got run. There was a throw that bon
Knicks made and again bow Nix's I love Bonnicks because
he just goes hard and when he sucks, it sucks
real bad. When he's awesome, be like, oh, there's some
there's a high ceiling.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
There was a throw. One guy ran basically hook another
guy was in the end zone and somehow he dropped
in the middle of both wide open receivers. It's unbelievable.
It's unbelievable. I did see the clip.

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
I just.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
You had to throw it perfectly bad, because if you
throw it bad a little long, the guy in the
back catches it. Yeah, if you're trying to throw the
guy long, you though a little short the guy in
the front. It was a perfect terrible throw. Oh, here's
the thing about bone Nicks. Ilways wondered why I had
like this kinship to bow Nicks. His dad was the
head football coach in Henderson State. When I was going
to school there, really and I was, I used to
do play by play and color for the team Division two.

(01:06:36):
I would do play by play whenever we were home
because they would put two of us together. It's not commercial,
small commercial radio stessions. But then when I would travel
with the team, I'd have to do both. They couldn't
afford to send two people. But his so, would you
do him in two different voices? No, that would have
been funny, or asked myself questions, Right, right, I figured
that's something you would have had the same role as
Brady had. But his dad, Patrick was the head football

(01:06:59):
coach that's cool. And I also saw a thing was
like every state where every starting quarterback is from. And
I had bow Knicks picture in Arkansas where he's born,
but because the dad was the head football coach Patrick Kansas,
and I remember Patrick next being like a star Auburn quarterback,
which is where Bowe ended up going.

Speaker 5 (01:07:15):
Yeah, he was like the second coming to Jesus over there, right,
But uh, we know.

Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
When say that I put my mouth and say that
somebody's punch ticket to Hell.

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
That wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
But yeah, I would like talk to coach Nicks ahead
of games and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
That's cool.

Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
I never put it all together. Why I was fad this?
Huh When did you realize that?

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
When I?

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
I think I've always known it because I wasn't like,
oh I didn't know that, but because I always knew
coach Patrick Knicks was the coach. I knew bow was
his son who's going to Auburn because that. But I
never really put it all together like when we're talking
about it. And then I saw this graphic before every
starting quarterback was born, and I was like, how is
he born in? I was like, oh my god. I

(01:07:58):
used to call it play by player where Patrick next
was the football coach. That's crazy, so basically boning our cousins. Yeah,
for sure, for sure Arkansas. I mean you know that's true.
You know, let's see games we care about. Alabama and
Tennessee is fun. Alabama is a three point favorite on
the road at Tennessee. That's pick them to me, just

(01:08:19):
to flip the coin. Yeah, I go Alabama. I go Alabama.
I think Alabama is just a better Tennessee loses because
it feels like they didn't, but it feels like they
lost to Florida. Yeah, was the only reason they want
us because uh, they're starting quarterback got hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Yeah, went to.

Speaker 5 (01:08:34):
Overd NFL Like Alabama lost to South Carolina but they didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
But they didn't but they didn't and they didn't have
to win because somebody got hurt and were an' they
playing in South Carolina there were Yeah, so h well,
maybe I just watched more of it because they're in
a parlay.

Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
Like any when you watch so much football, it's hard
started do.

Speaker 5 (01:08:57):
You buy Sunday afternoon games after Saturday?

Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
Yeah, Like I'm tired.

Speaker 5 (01:09:00):
I don't like I am mentally, I can even I
need to watch some.

Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
Because I remember there were three four overtime games last week.
Couldn't tell you who they were other than the one
we just mentioned.

Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Alorida, Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
Okay those two. There there were like three or four
overtime games.

Speaker 1 (01:09:17):
South Carolina game they kicked an onside kick. Now remember
it because I watched it. They kicked it out, South
Carolina scored ye. Then they kicked an onside kick, recovered it,
and then do an interception over the back.

Speaker 5 (01:09:30):
Yeah the goal line.

Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, uh yeah. That'll be a fun game.
So I care about that one. L s U Arkansas.
L s U as of right now, is a two
and a half point favorite at Arkansas. I think we
can win this game. Are you going No, I'm not
going to go.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
You're not going to games? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:09:48):
Are you going to any of this year?

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
I'll go to Texas probably, especially if we win this one.
I kind of have to pick and choose. I can't
go to every one, get that, And I'm have a
couple other things. I'm doing a fa in the next
couple of months, so it's I would love to go,
but also it's kind of a pain in the butt sometimes,
Like I like watching it on TV.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
Oh, get in there, getting situated watching the game, leaving this.

Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
And I love being there. It's my favorite place to be.
But there's also I have to do a little politic
in as well if I go m M. And that's
fine and great and I like it and I love
doing it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:20):
But but you're right, nothing beats sitting at home watching
your team on TV by yourself.

Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
Yeah, by yourself, yea yeah not Hey, we this person
wanted to come meet you. It's the middle of the
third quarter and it's a close game and I love
meeting no, but it's like, can we do it between quarters?

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
Okay, it's a great problem to have, get me wrong,
and you never say that you met. I'm up in
a suite. I'm like living it up and I'm like,
I'm so annoyed. But it is like the one thing
I love is like watching games.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
Uh so, so Texas is in faille nice, that's gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Be awesome and that game will will really matter if
we beat LSU. Yeah, if we beat LSU, that game
will matter matter. It's what would be super cool because
we we won lost one conference game, which were so stupid.
Should have lost that game. And then Georgia at Texas.
That's a fun one. I think I'm pulling personal bias.
I'm most interested at that game. Oh yeah, Georgia, who's
been the big dog versus Texas? Who's supposed to be

(01:11:13):
the big dog? Texas hasn't we talked about earlier? Text
hasn't really played any want Michigan.

Speaker 5 (01:11:19):
Yeah, the Michigan is not what are they?

Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
What are they?

Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
So, but they are killing teams Texas.

Speaker 5 (01:11:26):
Yeah, yeah, they're blowing everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
They're killing teams. That's the only reason I think that
they can handle this. I mean, I was never really
impressed with Georgia until gosh, what's the what's someone where
they almost came back? Was that Georgia Bama Bama. Yeah,
that's the only time I was really like convinced, Okay,
they got something here when they came back strong, try
to come back and win that game.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
Well, but nobody played anybody like you talking about TXTA
or they didnt play anybody earlier. There was really no
reason to be yes or no because they it wasn't
like they both had the LSU notre Dame.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
They didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:11:57):
Texas did. I mean they put Michigan on the schedule.
You're ago when they thought Michigan would be good. But
with Texas, we're still looking at Michigan, like what even
are they? But Georgia, they really haven't played anybody Alabama,
but they lost.

Speaker 5 (01:12:10):
They almost lost to Kentucky, that's true. They did almost
the game Missisippi.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
That Kentucky game sucked. Yeah, I was rooting for Kentucky.

Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
Pick time you got to write that was it thirteen
to twelve or something?

Speaker 1 (01:12:19):
And stoops not Bob his brother in case you wondered,
because Bob was on the show earlier this week didn't
go four and fourth down and they like roasted him
over it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
Oh yeah, yeah, who else?

Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
The Georgia almost goes two? Nobody? Right, Missy State game
is closer than thirty one? Twenty one was missive taking as. Yeah,
well I didn't watch any of it, but I looked
at the score and I was like, oh my god,
maybe Georgia does suck.

Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
But they did want Clemson week one.

Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
I know that was a long time, but now, yeah,
you're right, you're right they whooped it, and I guess
I didn't consider that real game as Clemson sucked. Yeah,
but now Clemson kind of doesn't suck.

Speaker 5 (01:12:50):
Angain Yeah, they were like confused.

Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
You're right, they did schedule a tough game at the beginning,
but we didn't feel like it was that tough because
Cmpson it sucked for a while.

Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
Yeah, now they're in the top ten.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
You're like, oh, okay, but they're only playing high school.
Now that's true. Let's think about us on the show.
We don't know anything, and we also forget everything. Gets
a bad it's a bad mix of really not knowing
anything and forgetting everything.

Speaker 4 (01:13:11):
It's frustrating because I watch every game and then I
come on, I'm like that happened.

Speaker 1 (01:13:17):
Yeah, but I'm also just wrong about stuff. Even though
I did watch the game, Like.

Speaker 4 (01:13:21):
Dude, I've watched from eleven to one in the morning.
It was that Colorado game last last week, like State, Yeah,
Colorado can't stay.

Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
I watched the.

Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
Whole thing because my mom's in town and she loves
watching football. She will watch football with me from eleven am.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
To one in the morning.

Speaker 5 (01:13:37):
And your was awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
It's pretty amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Weird to be tired from just watching a bunch of football. Yeah,
that's what happens to me. Like, I'm so tired.

Speaker 5 (01:13:45):
Why my girlfriends from watching football?

Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
If you didn't play. I'm like, I was watching a lot,
and I have upstairs, have like three TVs all beside
each other basically, and and I put the video game
in the middle sometimes. But you know, I got a
bunch of bets up. It's mental it is mental stress.
It's like it's like a road trip. You drive eight hours.
You feel like, well, I didn't do anything to sit there,

(01:14:09):
but your mind had to stay active the whole times.
Everybody didn't die. That's my mind has to stay active
the whole time watching football. So don't go broke gambling
away on mone right, right, NFL games we care about.
You know, I'm gonna put the Patriots in Jaguars game
in this because because it's whomever loses should just have
to give their players up for expansion.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
That's funny, except for Drake Man.

Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
No, also with Drake Man. Jags are five and half
point favorite, and they are in Jacksonville Falcon Seahawks. Oh
that's right, Yeah, that's right, Well jackson I guess it's
a home game. Yeah that's so it sucks because they've
been there for a week. Yeah, maybe last week. But yeah,
it's like for the poor jet imagine that First of all,
you have to be a Jaguar. Second of all, that's

(01:14:54):
the first bad thing. Yeah yeah, yeah, all the teams
you have to be a Second of all, you have
to go play games overseas, which sucks because everything is
smaller over there too.

Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
What do you mean I've never been What do you
mean like buildings are small? People? Yeah? People?

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
No, In America, we waste a lot of space.

Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
Real, Oh they don't. They don't have land, there's no
there's no room.

Speaker 1 (01:15:18):
And New York here is what I would compare them.
It's not as tight as New York, but the hotel
rooms in New York City are tiny because there's no
room in like London. It's not quite New York, but
it's like there's no there's no room for anything.

Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
Big Ben is it big? Eh?

Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
They don't skyscrapers. They'd have a few, but but it's
not like our big cities where the buildings in Europe
generally are like wide and they go on for a block.
We just built them straight up.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Is everything old?

Speaker 1 (01:15:43):
Yes, but old in a cool way of you go, well,
I can't believe they are actually people that lived at
this time, because we didn't have that lived within like rules,
a civilization with rule was here in twelve hundred Native America.

Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
There was nothing, no building there.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
Yeah, significant civilization, yeah, like significant buildings that are still
their churches like like this this church was built in
the thirteen hundreds, but and it's still there. In even
Walk it's wild. Yeah, I've never seen it like that's amazing.
Like in Mountain Pine, we had like one building from
the sixties. It was like an old gym that lived
nineteen sixties.

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
That was that was it.

Speaker 7 (01:16:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:16:21):
Seahawks and Falcons is interesting. Uh not because the teams
are Because are the Falcons any good? All the Seahawks
are going to be halfway decent again, Titans of Bills.
Bill should just run with that, right, Bengals of Browns?

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Good? It look good.

Speaker 1 (01:16:35):
A little stretch for the Bengals have They're two and
four now, right? Yeah? Yeah they want Yeah, they should
pound the Browns.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
They should get right back in the.

Speaker 1 (01:16:42):
Mix, just as I predicted.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
It's pretty amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
I predicted. I just bet on it because I'm like,
they're they should make the playoffs even though they went
zero and four, right, they starting.

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
Four one and one to five.

Speaker 5 (01:16:55):
One and four? You bet one three one and then lost.

Speaker 1 (01:16:58):
You bet that they would win super Bow the whole thing.
You have only but one hundred bucks, rememberhen you guess
like applauded me. That's right, that's right. Yeah for not
spending ten thousand dollars. Yeah, you were like, great, you
only proud of you. Uh, Texans at Packers. That's a
fun one.

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
That's gonna be a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
Yeah, Packers two and a half point favorite on the road.
So by say coin flip there neutral site, coin flip,
offensive colts and nobody cares.

Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
Although Anthony Richardson is playing.

Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
Yeah once, I mean to us coming back? They say.

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Week ten or something.

Speaker 1 (01:17:28):
I think I saw you did see something.

Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
Yeah, it was a time.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
It was a timeline. I haven't seen any sort of timeline.
It popped up.

Speaker 2 (01:17:36):
I didn't look into it, but when it pops on
my phone, it's that's the Bible. It's like, oh, okay,
going back, let's true week ten. What was the source?

Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
I think it was more of like Coach McDaniels is saying,
they're looking at that time that time.

Speaker 1 (01:17:51):
I'm surprised, Uh, maybe two doesn't remember saying you to
come back. He's like I said, I didn't yeah, we said, Okay,
you know what, I don't remember. We've seen it to
Eddie's phone, So you have to lines of Vikings. That's fun.
Vikings two point favorite. Eagles at Giants. Eagles are only
a three point favorite.

Speaker 2 (01:18:11):
Wow, who would have thunk?

Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
Who would have thought that Eagles are going to be
playing like that?

Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
Raiders and Rams? Nobody cares? Panthers and commanders commanders should
run that game good, which is weird to say commanders
should run anything if they keep doing what they're doing.
Are the commanders going in then feast? I mean, yeah,
it looks like that right now't gonna be the I
mean the cow and we are five hundred, so I
mean it's not over.

Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
But things have to change, what.

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
You major, But nothing's going to change unless something changes.
So what's going to change?

Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
I don't know, man, Because again you can say, yeah,
you're right, I don't know what the answer is.

Speaker 5 (01:18:45):
Mike Zimmer's got to be a big disappointment, huh, decoordinator. Sure,
I thought he's gonna be great for you.

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
Sure, I mean we did. I mean dan Quinn was awesome,
Yeah I know so so, but I thought he'd be.

Speaker 1 (01:18:54):
Better than this yes, yeah, why are you But you're
blaming him.

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (01:18:58):
I'm not the defense's he's the boss, right, Like the
defense just looks like crap and they can't stop anything.
They can't stop a run, so we think like, okay,
we can't stop the run. That's it, and then our
dvs are just terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
So light counterpoint. Yeah, if the offense sucks and the
defense is always out there, they have no choice but
to just be exhausted and exposed. So you can put
the best defense out there, but the offense cannot move
the ball or score in the defense. It's why teams
that score a bunch of points in college they run
wide open, open offenses. Why their defenses are the worst.
It's not because the defense is the worst. It's just

(01:19:30):
they score so quick. They're always out on the field.

Speaker 4 (01:19:32):
I would agree with you, but this first quarter stuff,
like they're they're not exhausted, second third drive and they
blow it immediately like this last game, like as soon
as the game started.

Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
This is over.

Speaker 2 (01:19:45):
It's over.

Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
That's a bad game.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:19:48):
When they're in the annexation of Puerto Rico with Pine
Stuel the second play, you're like, oh, boy, little giant.
Oh god, yeah, Chiefs and Niners.

Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
That's fun.

Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
Niners or one point five one point five favorite on
at that point, Jets of Steelers. I guess that's Monday night,
Sunday night, Sunday night. Yeah, what's Monday night? I thought
Chiefs in forty hours of Sunday night.

Speaker 5 (01:20:11):
No, there's Sunday afternoon they are. Yeah, that's the Tom Brady.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
What's the Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
That's fun. There's some good games. I think that's it.
After I find out what the Monday game.

Speaker 6 (01:20:23):
Chargers Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
Year me, gag. We heard that loud and clear.

Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
I don't even know what the charges are because they were.
The Chargers to me, aren't anything this year, but it's
probably gonna be something next year the year after. Yeah right,
they're not. Also they're not an embarrassing team, but they're
also not. There's nothing dynamic with charge but the Cardinals
are something. Marvin Harrison's got a zin concussion product.

Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (01:20:47):
I saw that Kyler Murray. I saw he stood up
next to that stick. You stand up, you measure to
get on the right. You grow, you grow this much.
It's still small, still tiny.

Speaker 6 (01:20:57):
The Ravens Bucks they're also Monday night to double header.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
Wait, what is it?

Speaker 6 (01:21:01):
Ravens Bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
That's fine, that's a good one, but I don't like
the two. I don't either, but I will not watch
the Chargers. You're right, so there's only one in my mind.

Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
You're right.

Speaker 1 (01:21:09):
There's the JV game and there's the Senior High game.

Speaker 4 (01:21:12):
Man is what I don't like about that, though, is
that messes my parlays up because I like my Sunday parlay. Sorry, buddy,
And the most I can do on the noon in
three o'clock games is like a nine to ten game parlay.

Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
That sucks, man, That sucks for you.

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
Guy. I have no chance to win the fifty thousand
dollars on a one dollar bet.

Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
That's tough because there were certain generations they got drafted
to war. But this is nothing you've heard of what
you're doing dealing with those are bad d yet. I mean,
that's a hard day. No, no, no, but this is
this is tough what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
That's why I win fifty thousand dollars. That's tough. You
can't do it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:45):
We feel bad for youbody, Thank you mane. That's it.
You guys have a great rest of the week or weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
I lost my whistle. Mike, you have a whistle.

Speaker 1 (01:21:55):
A song sounds like it's slow, or I feelt drunk
or something.

Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
Listen to it.

Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
Does it feel slower than normal? No, it feels just right.

Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
Does it you'll slow?

Speaker 1 (01:22:09):
I was gonna ask if it felt slower.

Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
It's not.

Speaker 1 (01:22:12):
That's what I thought. It's not I I thought. I thought, Hey,
can I your question? Yeah, what's up?

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Man?

Speaker 1 (01:22:18):
Sounds slower to you?

Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
There, it doesn't.

Speaker 1 (01:22:20):
All right, all I'll see you guys next week. Bye, Budy.
